Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza is ok. Food overall is very pricey and staff is somewhat dismissive. This might be the theme of "NY style" to charge new York prices and be rude.

We had a bad experience on our first visit to Frank & Co. on Main Street in Simpsonville, so we were hoping Frankie's would meet our expectations for NY style pizza. If I had written a review after our first visit, this place probably would have gotten 4 stars. Unfortunately, subsequent visits did not live up to standards. We have ordered pizza from this place 3 times and ordered gyros from them twice. First, the gyros: My husband seems to think they pass as acceptable food, but I think they're gross. I am used to gyros being served with tzatziki sauce, but these gyros are SLATHERED in some other thick, nasty white sauce. I don't know if it's mayonnaise or some messed up version of tzatziki (there are NO cucumbers in it at all), but it's disgusting. As for the pizzas, our first order was great - it was ready in about 40 minutes even though it was Saturday night and the pizza was cooked perfectly. A month later, my in-laws came to town and we bragged about how good the pizza was. So we placed an order for 2 pizzas. This time it took 60 minutes for them to be delivered and the pizzas were slightly undercooked. The in-laws weren't that impressed, but we gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt and figured any place can have a bad night. Our 3rd pizza order sealed the deal. I called to place an order and asked how long the delivery time would be. I was told 90 minutes. Seriously? Yes, it was Friday night, but I have never in my entire life experienced a wait that long anywhere. I asked the girl how long it would be if I came and picked it up. She replied that it would still be 90 minutes (????). Okay anyway...my husband decided he wasn't that hungry, so we placed an order despite the ridiculous wait time. After an hour and a half, our pizza arrived and it was totally undercooked. The dough was wet and soggy, the toppings slid off, and the whole thing just had an "off" taste. Our 2 year old thinks pizza is one of the greatest foods on Earth, and even she decided it was inedible. It had been pulled from the oven WAY too early, and we had waited an hour and a half for a meal we couldn't even eat. My husband was furious, but thanks to our long wait, it was really just too late to do anything about it. We haven't given this restaurant anymore of our money and we won't ever again.

Just called to ask how much a calzone was. The guy said, "Call Domino's" Really!!! Asking for a price and you say that! Don't worry we will not be going to you or Domino's. I know what REAL pizza and calzone's are! Keep acting like that and you won't be here long!

I'm from New York and this is the only pizza place near my house that reminds me of home. They actually know what they're doing when it comes to real, authentic New York pizza. Five forks has so many different pizza places, but Frankie's is the best. No contest.

We thought we had finally found pizza that tasted and looked like pizza in NJ. @ our 8th time ordering from here the pizza looked completely flat and it tasted horrible. When I called to see if they had a new person (I could forgive that) I got Frank himself. He was nasty and rude. He said HE made the pie and he works 72 hours a week and that's how he has always made them. He said to bring it back and get our money back. I wasn't rude to him, just asked a simple question. He lost my business. Hey Frank maybe you need some time off! The one star is for pizzas past.

The pizza is GOOD...NOT Great, and the owner does not seem to be customer friendly. I watched as a customer left the restaurant after waiting for about 3-4 mins at the counter and nobody even acknowledged the customer. And the owner was right there, making my pie.

First of all, the food is amazing. To address the reviews regarding service, we did not have a problem at all. In fact the young woman who helped us and took our order was about the nicest person I have met in SC! Seriously! So food wise my son had the cheese pizza. I had a bite. It was delicious. And i had the meatball sub. Heaven. Meatballs taste just like my Gramma Postiglione's!! They must have stolen her recipe. The gravy was spot on as well (that's red sauce). We will be back again soon.

Frankie's has first class service and their Cheesesteak is great. Their pizza has the finest ingredients and they are definitely NYA style because the slices are big and come with plenty of toppings. This is a must visit.

Ok pizza but ingredients no different than Tony's. Don't be fooled in to ordering a la carte pizza's for addition ingredient is way too over priced you will go from a $15-30 real quick per pie for a 16". There is better pie without the huge cost.

Don't be confused... You want Frank's on Main Street, not this joint on Batesville.. Especially if you want to be treated decently as a customer...I cannot speak about the original business but the customer service here is in short supply... After getting water, the server informed that 52 cents would have to be paid, in advance before any order would be accepted... Ridiculous!

Best Italian pizzeria in town. Had the Frankie's Special pizza which is similar to a supreme. Amazing pizza - fresh toppings, perfect crust, I can't say enough about this pizza! Then to top it off, the cannolis are just flat out ridiculously delicious. Also had the chicken parmesan stromboli on a separate occasion and it was also delicious. Must say though, the pizza is hard to beat. Staff is very friendly and nice. If you order to go on a Friday, be prepared to wait. Call at least an hour before you plan on eating (definitely worth the wait)
