After trying two other local spots and finding them both closed on Sunday, we ended up at Coach House. The prices were on the high side for southern comfort food, but we all cleaned our plates. My husband had the fried chicken, which came to the table too hot to touch! The mac and cheese was great and the collards were delicious. My chicken and dumplings were good- I would have preferred a hotter temperature and a little garnish to break up the plate of gravy. There dessert case was amazing. We took home a slice of Boston cream pie. We'll definitely go back. I might call it more like 3.5 stars, though...

I had a good take out experience here. I went on a Friday and bought broiled flounder with a couple of vegetable sides. The fish and mashed potatoes were good (not superb). Considering I chose the healthier option with the broiled fish, it was as good as I expected. The green beans, hush puppies, and bread were especially tasty, however. The rest of my family had good things to say about their meals too. The service was great. The food was ready when I arrived and I was attended to right away even though it was a very busy time for them.

I really enjoy going to the Coach House with my family. The food is good and it's a great local spot. I absolutely love the assortment of deserts they have to choose from...I definitely recommend this place if your looking for a good "home cooked" meal.

I have eaten here several times. It is a local hangout with bland industrial canned food. Crowded, dirty, and noisy. I do not go there anymore.

Sausage omelet with cheddar & spinach + large orange juice + grits Grits: Chlorine taste from water used to make grits Tasteless but good texture Not runny, thick like cream of wheat Omelet: Fully cooked no runny areas No skimming on the filling Not salty

Southern food and a family-style restaurant. Service was attentive and quick. Food was filling and generally good. Major downgrade in my rating due to the rudeness we experienced at the front counter. Both times we have eaten here, the same blonde woman at the cash register managed to completely ignore me while I was paying. How is that even possible? She will talk to people walking by, servers, anyone other than the person that's paying at the front counter. Really put a damper on the experience.

Delicious Place! I came here to visit a friend and found a great spot. I had the Pork chop sticks. The pork chops itself were well cooked and seasoned. I put a little white gravy on it and it was superb. Will be visiting here the next time!

If you have a taste for chicken livers, then you should try a plate of chicken livers, green beans, mashed potatoes, and top it all over with an extra side of beets at the Coach House Restaurant ! Can you say YUM. I am never disappointed with the quality of food and outstanding service.

I was told that this resturant has been around a long time in Simpsonville. The interior confirms that statement. The food was okay, not great. I ordered two pancakes and home fried potatoes. The potatoes were some of the best I've tasted in quite a while. the pancakes and coffee were just average. The service was okay- my waitress forgot several things and we had to ask her several more times before she remembered to bring the forgotten items. I would go back for the potatoes.

One of the greatest best kept secrets of Greenville. The breakfast here is amazing. The omelets are amazing and so is the service. I Love coming here with my wife and enjoy great food at a great price. You definitely get what you pay for here.

After a failed attempt to eat at Stellas Southern Bistro, we ended up here at the Coach house. It's quaint, kinda aged and simply styled with obvious southern taste. The food is amazing, starting with the Corn bread and this heavenly rotating display of desserts that greet you as you walk in the front door.

My parents live in this area and I visited them over this past weekend for my birthday. They said they HAD to take me here because they love it! The inside is nice and they serve a small breakfast menu all day which is exactly what I like for lunch. I ordered the florentine omelet which had tomatoes feta cheese and spinach in it with the homefries. Let me tell you if you like spinach and cheese you HAVE to try this. It is hands down the BEST omelet I have ever ate. Normal places use 3 eggs for an omelet which is what they do but instead of the eggs being over bearing they make them huge which makes the egg thinner so you get more of what's on the inside. I love Texas Pete so I doused a bunch on mine which made it even better! My aunt recommends the pancakes they have all different kinds even sweet potato which she swears by! We went twice while I was there because I loved it and said ill def have to go when I visit again! On my birthday that's where I chose to eat. I've only had their breakfast so I'm not sure how the food is on lunch and dinner.

Good southern home cooking. Breakfast before church I always mix it up. From pancakes to country fried steak, the food is always good.

My new favorite restaurant! Seated right away; lunch crowd was just breaking up but servers still quite busy. Nonetheless, we got our menus promptly; beverages and basket of rolls/cornbread shortly thereafter. The menu is loaded with choices -- from fish to salads to wraps to burgers to rib eyes to southern fare -- something for everyone (--and kids eat free!)! Our food arrived just as we polished off the first rolls. The food was prepared fresh, hot and piled plentiful on the plate. Had the chicken livers, collards and pinto beans - spouse had southern-fried chicken breast, mashed with buttered corn sides and brown gravy and we split a tiered slice of chocolate-orange crème cake under ganache...just the best-tasting meal I've had in years and blew the doors off any restaurant meal I've had ever. The portions are spot on, the seasoning is just to my liking -- most places tend to serve over-salted food, small portions, over-priced, and if you order anything that has been sautéed, it's too greasy or heavy...Not so with Coach House...All I can imagine is that a bunch of phenomenal mom-chefs are cooking up a storm in this kitchen! We'd be driving 90 miles each way to visit again, but we fully intend to do so as often as possible!

Good food great friendly Greek service. A Simpsonville classic.

Our experience started out with someone asking if we wanted drinks. We asked about beers, and she didn't know what they had. The waitress, Rachel, came by afterward and she took care of us, but it was a moment of awkwardness. They were busy and she was attentive, so we have to give them credit for that. The issue with this restaurant is that they have a massive menu that is all over the place. It has basically everything you can think of when it comes to southern American fare, plus even some Greek and other cuisine. This is a case of doing too much and nothing well. The food was edible, and some dishes looked better than others. I had a sandwich and my wife had a greek salad -- usually items that are hard to mess up, but mine was soggy and I had trouble finishing it. Hers was bland and unappetizing. Even though the service at the table and checkout counter was solid, the food was bad enough that we won't go back next time we're outside of Greenville. There are plenty of better places at the same price range.

This is a home town favorite restaurant. The food is consistently great. Waitstaff is accommodating, friendly and wonderful. Not sure how they can make great food so quick but they do. You can't loose if you're going for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner or just for a slice of their awesome cake or pie.

Two words sum up my two experiences here: just disappointing. I have been here once at lunch time and once on Sunday for breakfast. I will say that both times our service was friendly and attentive, and our food came out quickly and was hot. However, the taste and quality of the food both times was not great. The first time we came for lunch, I ordered the country fried steak. The taste was rather bland and unmemorable, with even the gravy being largely unflavorful. I don't even remember what my partner got. Still, since this is more of a diner, I thought breakfast might be a better time to check it out. We came in the height of breakfast on a Sunday with a couple of friends. I ordered the #3 combo, which came with eggs, a choice of bacon or smoked sausage, a choice of home fries or fried apples, grits, and biscuits and gravy. The bacon was nothing special, just the skinny strips of cheap meat. The home fries were inedible - I don't know what the flavor was on them, but they were gross. The grits were incredibly bland as well. The biscuit was large and fluffy, but it had yellow flecks in it from using butter-flavored shortening, which was a bit of a turn-off. The gravy was still quite bland at breakfast. My friends ordered the pancakes and were unable to finish them, as they were "so flavorless." The only good breakfast that came out was my partner's Southern Benedict, which he enjoyed immensely. Seriously, I wanted to love this cute local restaurant, but I just can't see myself coming back. Surely there is a local place that serves delicious, inexpensive breakfast in the area...

Our waitress came to the table once after ten minutes and the manager ended up getting our drinks. We walked out since they didn't seem too interested in having our business.

Spiro the owner and his staff never disappoint! Anytime we are in the area we love eating here. Waitresses are on the ball with drink refills and anticipating your every need. Food comes fast, hot and packed with flavor! Don't hesitate to eat here, they aren't celebrating 20 years in business if they weren't good!! Thanks Coach house!!!

Had breakfast here for the second time this morning. Always fast, always friendly, always good---and always busy! Nothing fancy here, folks. Just good, down home southern cooking. Presentation of the food might not be pretty enough for pictures, but what they lack in presentation they make up for in taste! You'll never run out of coffee, tea or water at the Coach House, they have service working like a well oiled machine. Oh, and the biscuits are fluffy, delicious, and big!

I have had the pleasure to travel. This place honestly has so much going for it. Except the food. The menu has too many items. With the amount of food items on this menu there is no way possible to have fresh food. I had the philly cheese steak. The meat was from the local frozen food section at the grocery store. Maybe there is nothing else to choose from in Simpsonville, SC. customer service was great!! We were greeted well and seated quickly. The inside is extremely boring. A little color (paint) would do wonders. We all felt as if we where eating in a low light dungeon. The eggs did not taste fresh which was a big disappointment.
