Stopped here by boat on Thursday. Sitting outside for lunch was great. Margaritas and Landsharks were good beverage choices. Pulled pork sandwiches and oriental chicken salads were very good. In season this place must be packed!

Tonights experience far surpasses the worst restaurant experience I have had. We heard great things about the place and that it was under new management so our group of 9 was excited for some quick eats and drinks on the patio. 2 hours later we left hungry and angry. It was well over an hour into our wait before anything came out, and then it came one plate at time every 15 to 20 minutes, and cold. Lets be honest we are not talking about fine dining here, this is fried food that takes 5 minutes to cook. We talked to both managers both of whom could not get our food out any quicker, nor did they seem to have any restaurant experience. It should also be noted that the table of the managers friends got their food in 20 minutes while we sat and watched them, waiting for ours. The place had three tables when we sat down, 8 when we left, all of whom got their food. Wait staff was terrible. We had three different servers in the first 15 minutes. The girl we ended up with was terrible. The only shining star was a woman who I believe was the bookkeeper, who was there having dinner on her night off. She was the most helpful person in the restaurant. I almost felt bad for her because there is no way this place is going to survive. In all fairness, the manager did comp the tab - as he should. We finally left after we got our fish tacos after 1 hour and 30 minutes of waiting, and they were ice cold. The place has potential if they can get someone in there with an ounce of experience.

Don't know what the hell they were doing in the kitchen today. It wasn't cooking my or my groups food. It took forever to get a burger and fries, not to mention a refill of water and tea. All the food came out together and only the grits were hot on one plate!!!! What the hell? Thought it would be nice to ride our bikes the the HUT and enjoy the sun while eating lunch. My mistake, will stop at BK next trip then go sit at dock. Oh will bring backup water bottle too. I mean really who wants to pay 12 dollars for a cold ass burger and fries with an empty tea glass? Not us every again. There are better and cheaper places around the lake, we will start going to them. Hate it cause I did so love the HUT before this.

Great atmosphere and fun place to go. We have been coming here a long time. My family and friends ask to go here when they come to town. We had them arrange a Christmas party and it was magical and very well done. The wait time for food can be long and hope that will improve.

We took the boat across the lake to the Tiki Hut last night for dinner. Fourteen of us went to celebrate my daughter turning 15. We waited for an hour before we were told that they would not allow anyone else in to be seated because the computers were down and they were short staffed and, therefore, could not accommodate anymore customers. Immediately after telling us this, a group of pretty and well-dressed girls walked up that were part of a bachelorette party. (They did not have reservations and there were at least 10 of them). While we were told that we couldn't be seated for supper, they allowed the large group of girls in after they thought we had left and they also sat several more smaller groups. My husband asked to speak to the manager and he came out but said absolutely nothing......I mean not ONE word. We were not loud, our children were well behaved. I have NO idea why the Tiki Hut Lakeside Grill discriminated against our family and friends and us in this manner. We have been members for years up until the past couple of years. We have given them so much business and so much of our money over the years. They have a constant turnover in waitstaff and pretty often in management as well. The current management apparently discriminates against any family and only want people there that will run up bar tabs. Feeding 14 people would have brought in a considerable amount of revenue you would think. While we were waiting we also witnessed a very drunk older gentleman that was allowed to leave the bar at the Tiki Hut. He went down to the docks, he could barely walk and was running into stationary objects, he got lost trying to find his boat, threw up a couple of times and then got into his boat and took off on the lake. Nobody from the Tiki Hut tried to prevent him from leaving and apparently they do not care how much you drink. My husband tried to stop the man and also tried to call someone in authority on the lake but couldn't find out who to call about such a matter. The Tiki Hut was very irresponsible in letting this man leave and in letting him drink that much to begin with. There should be some accountability. We will not be going back to the Tiki Hut and that really makes me sad. I know of a GREAT business that someone needs to start, though. An awesome, family friendly restaurant on Lake Keowee that is accessible by boat and car. You would make a killing because if the Tiki Hut keeps on treating customers the way they treated us, they will be out of business before long. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!

We are waiting for food over one hour...then side dishes weren't the one we ordered and waiter did not even acknowledge it!The worst service/food I had ...Shame on owner ! This is bull...I am returning my membership card!

The best grouper sandwich around! The wait is long so order another round of drinks for the wait! Fun atmosphere, great music and beautiful lake views at sunset.

The food was great! The prices were reasonable. The service was excellent. We had a party of 16 people and they kept up with our drinks and the food came in a timely manner. The atmosphere was fun. Thank you Tiki Hut!

When we first got there, the table across from us was belligerent and heavily intoxicated--so much so that the husband was asleep on the dance floor while their children were ether banging their heads on the porch rail or climbing the poles of the tent. At no point did any employee (including the owner) stop this. After ordering their "signature" mixed drink and it was pure sugar, I opted for the Mexican buffet, thinking that would be the safer option. Boy was I wrong. For the 6 hours that we were there, the food was never switched out, including the sour cream. My friends got either the wings or chicken tenders, which were just bagged items that had been thrown in the dryer to reheat. This was capped off by a horrendous band that was completely intoxicated and the lead singer couldn't carry a tune even if he wanted to. Perhaps if they focused on not getting drunk, the music would have been better. We then noticed (after we had spent all night there due to nothing else on the lake open late) that they had a C rating!!! The night ended with me puking up their less than stellar Mexican buffet. I wouldn't even send my enemy here. Well, except that our server was working really hard and was trying his hardest to do the best with what he had. Maybe the only positive experience. Definitely won't be coming back, and would give them a 0 if it was an option.

The food has really gone downhill. Go to Sam's and buy the cheapest frozen food you can and then poorly prepare it and you get some idea how bad it is. Really sad for such a great location. My burger was ordered medium but was cooked very well. My wife's chicken fingers were bad. How can you mess up chicken fingers...

It takes a lot to disappoint me but The Tiki Hut did just that. This place definitely has potential being right on the marina; but with the two so called "managers" that are running it now, it will only fail miserably. I would only recommend ordering drinks, the food was far beyond a disaster. Hopefully someone can get this place turned around.

Yuck! The food here was awful. In particular, the whitefish was inedible and we each had a bite and couldn't stand it. Told the waitress, who apologized and said they were "trying to improve the food" and asked for suggestions. It was not taken off our bill. The pico served with the quesadillas was rotten, and the waitress admitted it had not been made that day. None of the food our group ordered was good. However, The drinks and view were good (can't mess up a blue moon from the bottle!) so stick with that if you dare to stop here.
