At our visit earlier this month, we arrived fairly early for dinner, around 5:30. The place was so busy with reservations and traffic that we had to sit at the sushi bar. No problem. Sole's sushi bar was not at all what I expected. It was the old bar set up from a former restaurant. Waitstaff still took our orders, but we were belly up the gentlemen (most of them anyway) making sushi, and that was something to behold. There were at least five guys making sushi in front of us. I think there were more in the kitchen The way the worked as a team with one another and the waitstaff was impressive, and we would not have seen this seated any other place in the joint. There are sushi specials on Mondays and Wednesdays that must keep this place hopping. What they have done to accommodate the traffic is creative for a sushi place and works well. It keeps the sushi fresh, and fast. They have a variety of non-threatening Americanized rolls and some Southern specials. They have a reasonable selection of vegetarian sushi, though it isn't as creative as some of their other special rolls. Everything tasted good, including our appetizers. This place is growing on me. I hope it's not too hot to enjoy patio service next time I am in town to check it out even more.

Who would have thought that sushi in SC mountains would be good? Not only that, but they have bogo on Wednesdays! The only bad thing is, if someone reserves a table for 6pm, they reserve it from the time they uptrend until you get there. So you can get there and have to wait for the 1 table that is not reserved... Ugh that is no fun and super unproductive.

As someone who works in the restaurant industry, I was throughly underwhelmed by everything. The app fried asparagus cold and flavorless. The we ordered the blackend seared red fish which was neither blackened nor seared. It was un seasoned and fried. The wild basmati rice was not wild but white basmati. So when we made our server (very friendly and had her hair up) aware we were sent the hostess. Bc the manager in the orange shirt was to busy sipping his cocktail, to be of assistance. Also the apparent shortage of hair barrettes for your servers/ bartender. I mean really who wants food delivered by servers whose hair is dangling over food or a cocktail for the bartender who had repeatedly had her hair on liquor bottles and in glases. And repeatedly coughed into her hand without washing them. BTW paid for the entire dinner. Suggest you dine elsewhere.

Found this restaurant to be noisy with mediocre service. Had to ask for silverware after the food was brought to the table. Table was cheap and had a bad wobble. Sushi was good and reasonably priced. Steak was good and well cooked to order. Not sure where they got their scallops, as they were the size of small peas. All in all it had good food but a noisy atmosphere and mediocre service.

Awful! Had a gloppy tasteless penne pasta dish plus hair in it, indifferent service and off -tasting sushi. Done!

Probably the best place to get sushi in town. Very popular place and decent location. If you're looking for some good sushi and drinks I would definitely recommend here. Wednesday night is BOGO and I think Mondays they have all you can eat. Great staff and restaurant is nice and clean equipped with multiple TVs and seating both inside and an outdoor patio.

My boyfriend and I have gone to Sole a couple times for Monday night all you can eat sushi. The sushi isn't great quality-simple rolls and a little too much rice- but it tastes great! Lots of spicy options if that's what you are into. Another positive is the atmosphere. The tables and decor is nice, and the bar area where we always sit is a cool spot. The service is definitely hit or miss. Our last waitress had to be flagged down for drink refills (in her defense the place was packed). The only other issue was that because of the Monday crowds we waited a long time to get seated. Definitely make a reservation! All in all, Sole is a good place for a night out. I will definitely be going back!

The sushi is great, which explains the three stars. The service, not so much. I had never eaten at sole and decided to give it a try. When i walked in, the servers were all standing at the podium talking and all gave me a funny look. None of them spoke so i asked where to place a to go order. One lady said "at the bar". No one offered to take me to the bar (assuming i knew where it was located). So i just walked through the restaurant. I had to stop at the sushi BAR to ask if that is where i was to place my order. The man pointed me on to the next room where i ordered and sat at the alcohol bar (being underage). The bar tender didn't talk. A few servers did come stand directly beside me and chit chat with the tender though, still not offering conversation to me. I think ill stick to Tokyo in Clemson for my sushi from now on.

They have just started doing all you can eat sushi on Monday night. The concept is great, but the service has been hit or miss. Paesano's is still our favorite for great locals conversation and a cocktail/dinner...they're not open on Monday, Sole fills the void if we are dying to get out of the house and don't feel like driving to Greenville
