Went during lunch time on a Tuesday during vacation. The building itself is gorgeous-- vaulted ceiling in the bar area with wine racks covering the wall. Would definitely like to come back for a drink in the evening. We ordered the croissant appetizer (there isn't bread or anything while you wait) and they were delicious! Very fluffy with a little honey butter drizzled on top. I got the grilled chicken sandwich for an entree-- it as rather dry and bland, wouldn't recommend it. On the other hand, my uncle got the peter's burger and he claims it's the best burger he has ever had. He also upgraded his fries to sweet potato fries ($1.00 up charge) which were cut as waffle fries. They came out with honey butter as well-- so yummy! The service was efficient and friendly as well-- always appreciated!

Possibly the worst dining experience I have had in South Carolina! Advised there was a party and things would be a bit slow we ordered drinks and food at the same time. No less than 45 minutes later did the waitress stop by to see how we were doing. WTF? After two rounds of drinks and 2 hours later we were advised that all our orders could not be filled due to running out. Upon exiting the host advised that their Anderson location was by far better and was sorry for the wasted 3 hours! Never again!

My girlfriend and I came through town looking for a nice place to eat. The interior atmosphere was lovely--the service and food were quite a disappointment, however. The restaurant was less than half full on a Saturday night and there appeared to be adequate wait staff but the service was extremely slow. While I liked my Caesar salad and the honey butter croissants--the sirloin I ordered (Medium) arrived more than well done. It was extremely tough and without flavor--I ate less than half of it because it was so bad. My loaded mashed potatoes were not even warm when they were served. It is rare that I complain at a restaurant about my food, but it was pretty bad. When the serer finally came back to our table to check on us (in what seemed like forever), I told her that the steak was not what I ordered and was pretty lousy. I also told her that they forgot to include the croissant on my girlfriend's order. The server just kind of looked at us with a blank stare at this point. My date wanted some croissants to take with us, so we ordered a box of them to go. When she returned with the box of croissants, the server threw them on the table--obliviously knocking over a full glass of ice water. She didn't even notice and just continued on to her next table. I expected a discount on my entree and at the vary least to be comped the croissants. Nope--no apologies and no making things right. Will definitely not be returning here! The steak was horrible, the food was overpriced, and the service was lousy.

Lucky we got one round of drinks and a salad after 2 hours of waiting. The manager, Lociwana came out apologizing abd promised our food was on the way. After 15 more minutes of waiting we decided to leave. Would definitely not recommend it. I am giving them one star only because i can't give tgem any less.

Cool atmosphere - an old looking place. Be warned! portions are ginormus... This is good food for a chain. Consistent, dependable, etc. Not cheap, but measured by the pound of food, not bad. I should add that to the description it's "big food"... You can probably split an entree, add a salad and come out feeling pretty good about the experience. I have seen reviews claiming that the food was bland. That differs with my experience. I would submit that the Hickory Fired Salmon with a Hickory bourbon glaze is anything but bland. ...actually overpowering in my book.

The atmosphere is cool and the employees were friendly but the menu is boring. We had the sirloin it was tough and lacked any flavor. The house salad was good and had more than you usually get with a house salad. They only had 2 dessert options and it was banana pudding and a brownie. We would not go back.

Just like copper river, literally brothers own them they are basically the same. I got mahi mahi an it had zero flavor. The mashed potatoes w cheese were really good tho. And salads come w sweet crescent rolls and eggs, love.

We go to this place every once in a while because it is convinient. You dont get more than what you would expect from a chain restaurant though. The food is bland for the most part. Also, they add eggs to their salads, which I dont like. Everytime I go there, the best thing is always their crossaint, which is very sad. I need to make a mental note to not to go to this place ever again (despite of its convinient location).

Can't find a fresher salad anywhere and Evan makes you feel like family. And oh.... those collards!

I have now eating here several times! Love the atmosphere and the wait staff (of course I have my favorites and ask for them... Morgan). My fiance and I always try something new... but I love there steaks! Portions are generous and prices are fair. Highly recommend this gem!

Went to dinner with the in-laws here during a vacation. Wow, were we impressed! I love the location of this restaurant on Ram Cat Alley in Seneca. This little town is very quaint, and only a short drive from Clemson University. A couple restaurants have come and gone at this very spot (Chophouse 113, Rudy's), but it looks like J Peters finally got it right, and is here to stay. Portions are huge, high quality fresh ingredients are prevalent throughout every dish, and the prices...wow, what a value! I paid $2.50 for a pint of New Castle. All entrees are very reasonably priced, especially when quality and portions are taken into account. Service was also very fast and friendly, even though the place was packed. All in all, a great restaurant experience.
