Pulled into this Cracker Barrel right behind a tour bus. I considered turning around and coming back another day, but my daughter had her heart set on dumplings. So, we went inside. The hostess quickly seated the bus load of retirees and still had room for my daughter and me. Our server was able to respond to us quickly and the manager on duty was making frequent rounds to pick up the slack. The food was what we expect from CB which is why we go there - no surprises. I was very impressed with their ability to accommodate that large crowd and still serve their regular customers without delay.

So it was camp time again and as its tradition went to Cracker Barrel after picking my child up from Camp Adam Fisher (20th June 2015). Everything was super nice like it has was last year. Server was very attentive - then my son says there is a bug swimming in his chicken and dumplings. Which there was, looked to me like a carpet beetle. Got the waitress and she said yes I will take care of that and brought out another portion without asking us. There was no way we were eating anything else there. Then the manager came over and asked what the problem was and said he would take care of the bill - which is what I would expect. We then left. There is more... That afternoon all four of us had bad tummy upsets so it wasn't just the bug in my sons chicken and dumplings. Not sure if we will be going there next year after camp. Really put us off to be honest.

Quick food while on a road trip. Pecan crusted catfish was pretty good. Mashed potatoes were a little bland. Seasonal veggies were fresh. Pork chops were a little on the cold side but the flavor was good. Baked sweet potato was yummy. Lemonade was tasty. Everyone is nice and friendly.

These 5 stars are for a specific employee. There is a woman named Linda. She was so incredible amazing with our kids while we were there and extremely pleasant to everyone. After leaving we got about an hour away from the CB and, surprise, our daughter realized she left her doll (which was a Christmas present from the week prior) at the restaurant. I called the restaurant and hey it's Linda being all nice and happy on the other end of the phone. She went and found the doll. She asked how far I was. I told her I was an hour away. Before I could even sheepishly ask and feel like I was putting them out, she saved me the god awful social anxiety inducing task of asking strangers for things and immediately said "I will mail it to you, honey!" I got called a nice thing and she solved my problem. A plus, Linda. A plus. Or five stars or whatever system Yelp is making me grade on. Now I can sit in my car worry free and feel gnarly about all the country fried yolk bombers I just ate at Cracker Barrel.

Reliable for a quick and fresh meal while traveling I-95. New wholesome options offer a healthier take on the traditional menu. It's like fast food but homemade.

Apparently at this location, once you get your check that's it, no more refills ect. The restrooms were a little unkept surprisingly how slow it was for dinner.

Good meal with great service. Cracker Barrel is pretty predictable, so there were no surprises. Our server, Samantha, was great. Super friendly and helpful. I ordered the country fried steak, along with mac and cheese, fried apples and the special veg of the day, broccoli and cheese casserole. Everything was delicious. The plate of biscuits and cornbread were warm. My only complaint, and this is personal, the cornbread has zero flavor to me. Not enough salt and not a hint of sugar. I'm accustomed to cornbread that is at least a little sweet. Shopping in the CB store is always great and we left with a bag of old time candy we didn't need. Best thing in Santee so far.

Excellent dinner and breakfast. Reasonably priced with big portions. Very friendly staff. Good stick to your bones type down home food. Delicious string beans mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese with roast beef for dinner. Scrumptious eggs sausage bacon and pancakes for breakfast. Also very racially inclusive with many blacks on staff and as customers. Will definitely go back if in santee again.

Two major complaints. One, the place was dirty including the disgusting high chair had days old crusty food on it. The second complaint was when the server brought the 4 iced tea drinks in glasses, he dumped them on my two year olds head causing him to scream. I'm going to pass on this one forever.

We were driving up to DC from Charleston on the evening before my tonsillectomy, so I knew I wanted to have the world's most gluttonous dinner (aka last meal). I wanted to go someplace I had never been before but then you never know what you're going to get . So we decided on a compromise - Cracker Barrel. We figured it was a pretty safe choice and I'd never been there for dinner. Plus they had biscuits, and biscuits were on my list of foods I wanted to eat before I was reduced to jello and popsicles. This CB wasn't too busy for an early Tuesday dinner. Our waitress was an older lady who looked like she desperately needed a good night's sleep...or perhaps even a month's worth of vacation. She was sweet but she forgot parts of our orders, even after we reminded her twice. I ordered the veggie skillet, which was fabulous and extremely filling. It came with two delicious salty biscuits so it made my life happy. My boyfriend got his fried catfish dish that he'd been talking about for the past few weeks and said it was as good as he remembered it. We both had so much food I really wish we could have boxed some of it up and saved it for the next day. If you're on a long road trip up or down I-95, don't worry, there are dozens of Cracker Barrel's along the way.

Oh good Lord. During a drive from MIA to RI, we got hungry as you expect we would. My friend that was with LOVES this place, so we looked for one, and voila! A few miles up, there one was. Let me say this: I get it, its a Cracker Barrel. I know they dont really depend on repeat customers. But c'mon. We were seated with in 10 min. Then.... we waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, the manager came over to get a drink order for us. Then a server came over close to 10 min later to get our order. I put in soup (cause I was mega sick and needed something hot). I never got it. Then ANOTHER server came over to get our main order. 20 min later... still no soup. 10 min later.... finally we got our dinner. And it was cold. So, after having 2 servers and manager wait on us, we weren't really sure who to ask for anything. We sent our food back, and within 2 min, it was back in front of us. Clearly, it was chucked in the microwave. Ya know, when you are traveling for days, and its pouring rain, and your hungry, and there is a place offering comfort food, that's what you expect. Ill probably not ever go back to CB. No one seemed to care that we were there at all. And that's the opposite of what we needed at the time.
