Fine Foods is a strange name for this restaurant that seemed to have standard burgers, meatloaf and fried fish dishes. The burger I got was good except for the meat. It was not fresh made but an overcooked perfectly round typical frozen piece of hamburger meat. The upfront staff seemed unhappy about life or something.

I was looking for a new breakfast spot on the way to work. Maybe something fast and cheap but, still good food... I ASSURE you I found none of that here!!! In fact, this might be the WORST place for breakfast in Greenville County! I was in a hurry so I went through the drive thru. I ordered a gravy biscuit, a side of sausage, & a small sweet tea. I was given no total but, told to drive around. Once at the window the woman (I think) peaked around the window and says $5.69. I was in shock & thought damn this better be good! I paid the hand, asked the hand for some pepper (got 14 packs! wtf?) and finally got my food and left. Once to my office, I opened breakfast up to find.... 2 pieces of Quarter sized shriveled up sausage, 1 biscuit & some gravy made from a store bought package! REALLY?!?! I paid $6 for this bland, over priced garbage! Never again will you see my face or my money!!! Lesson learned

Iama Critic Rating - Clock Fine Foods - 3 Stars 7613 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC Overall: I love it when a restaurant tells me right out of the gate what I can expect. Their sign out front will say, "Gourmet", "Best in the Upstate", on in this case "Fine Foods"! When you see a sign like that you ought to be able to just put away your camera and laptop and give them five stars, right? Sadly though, like these gorgeous menu pictures you see all the time, they never really deliver to your table what they advertise. What the Clock does deliver is obviously popular because they are packed at dinner time and especially at lunch. This no doubt is partially due to the fact that their Moonville location doesn't offer much competition. But the Clock does have a pretty extensive menu of fried and southern favorites, and they offer their fare at reasonable prices. The Service - 3 Stars (20%) Clock Fine Dining is a value restaurant which means if you order a single item your waitress is not going to make squat even if you leave her a decent percentage. So when I am at value restaurants I use a higher percentage scale. My waitress was average at best. She was not sociable, helpful or interactive. She did little more than fill my glass and bring me a bill. For a family restaurant you would expect a little better. She wasn't even interested enough to ask why I was taking pictures of all my food. Buy she has to make a living so I left her $4.00 (20%). At value restaurants we typically provide 25% or more for 5 star service on the pre-tax portion of the bill, 22% for 4, 20% for 3, 17% for 2 and 0% for 1 star service. The Food: $4.39 Bacon Cheeseburger - 4 Stars This was a very nice looking and very nice tasting classic bacon cheeseburger. It came with a couple of fries and onion rings which were pretty good but ordinary. The burger was definitely better than average and earned some credit for having a perfect, but ordinary bun. $5.69 Gyro - 2 Stars In my never ending search for the best gyro in the Upstate; this gyro doesn't even come close. Tzatziki has a pretty powerful flavor, and this gyro was supplied with so much sauce that it was impossible to taste anything else. All I tasted was the pita and the sauce. The meat, onions and tomato bits were completely overwhelmed. If you order this gyro get the sauce "on the side" or you will be sadly disappointed. Even without the sauce this gyro is your standard, pre-prepared meat provided in very limited portions. $7.59 2pc Flounder Plate - 3 Stars This entree comes with two sides and I chose macaroni and cheese and steamed veggies. I really hate the macaroni and cheese they serve in South Carolina. It is almost like macaroni cheese lasagna. However, the Clock's macaroni and cheese is as good as most. The steamed veggies were mainly stick and stem pieces with few florets. No doubt this was bagged frozen veggies, but Clock did a great job of bringing them back to life and adding some spice. When it comes to the flounder, it was very good, but I am seeing smaller and smaller flounder. These flounder was so small they gave me three on a two piece plate. Which makes me wonder just how small a flounder can be before it is considered TOO small to actually filet? Total Bill: $25.02 for one person including tax, tip and one soda fountain drink. This is more than the average person will spend per person at the Clock. Final Thoughts: I suppose Clock Fine Dining and I disagree on what constitutes "Fine Dining" but Clock Fine Dining is one of the best restaurants in the Moonville area and that makes it "fine" in my book

Stopped by this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday. Went with the meat and 3. Had hamburger steak with gravy and onions , french fries, and broccoli casserole. Hamburger steak was good so were the french fries. The broccoli casserole was very bland. The food came out fast and hot. We left full.
