I also saw Daisy Cakes on Shark Tank and kept them in mind for a future gift. I kept my fingers crossed as I hoped this would all work out as a nice surprise for my Daughter's birthday. My Daughter lives on the West coast and we are on the East coast. I wanted to make her a birthday cake but couldn't since she is so far away. Daisy cake to the rescue! I chose the red Velvet cake. It was easy to order on line and it arrived on the day I requested. I was wondering how it would all make it. It arrived frozen inside a big styrofoam container. Directions Said to let sit for 3 hours. Good so far! And itt was a success! My Daughter and her coworkers loved it! They all thanked me! My Daughter sent me a picture and I wish I could of had a bite! It looked yummy. I almost deducted a star because it cost as much for shipping as the cake! A bit pricy. But then again...sending flowers would probably cost the same. I would definitely do this again!

On April 30th, I placed an order online through Daisy Cakes for one of their Carrot Cakes. I was placing this order to be sent to my mother in time for Mother's Day. Their website advised me that my order would ship May 2nd or 3rd. I completed my order and received a confirmation e-mail. That was the last the initiated any contact with me. When the cake still had not arrived by Tuesday, May 10th, I grew concerned and called their company. Unfortunately they were closed already given the time difference between Arizona and South Carolina, but the recorded message made it clear the information on the website information was incorrect. I then used a contact form on their website to send them a message. When I had not heard back from them by Thursday, May 12th, I called their customer service number again. I was informed by the representative that answered that there was a "website glitch" that they couldn't be responsible for it. I asked why no attempt to contact me to advise me of this problem since they obviously knew of it. The representative replied that they couldn't be calling every customer and implied that it was my fault because I ordered the cake online rather than by phone. When I asked for some sort of redress to correct the problem, the representative told me she was refunding my order. She had also cancelled it without confirming with me that this was the action I wanted to take. My complaint is that Daisy Cakes is advertising online via their website shipping dates that they have no intention of honoring. If there is a "website glitch," they are making no attempt to contact customers to advise them of it. This amounts to false advertising. Daisy Cakes customer service is unresponsive and uncaring.

I've ordered from Daisy cakes twice now and the first time around I received 2 great cakes, but the second time the cakes were awful. I even wrote the company to tell them why they weren't that great, but I never got a response back! I even took pictures of the cakes because you could see that there was no cake in them, only icing! They looked nothing like they advertise online. I don't know who's making their cakes, but someone is icing-happy! The icing is good, especially on the carrot cake, but when the cake is ALL icing and no cake it is no longer a cake. I would be very wary before ordering Daisy's cakes!

The cake was delicious and shipping was right on time - in fact, a day early! I don't know why there are so many negative reviews, but whatever the problem was they fixed it.

I read the reviews on the Daisy cakes site itself and since 99% of them were not reviews of the actual cake, but complaints about the shipping costs, I decided to review the actual cake. I ordered the gingerbread cake since it was a limited time only. The texture is nice and the cake tastes homebaked as opposed to store-bought. My only complaint is that while the frosting has a nice texture, it is a tad too sweet. If they would cut the sugar a bit, the eggnog flavor might come through a little better. The company doesn't send you an email to acknowledge that you placed an order and the cake came one day later than it said it was going to when I placed the order. I did get a tracking email, but no response when I sent them a request asking if my order had actually been placed.

This company is absolutely horrible. I usually do not write reviews but I needed to write one for this company. My boyfriend ordered a cake to be delivered to my apartment as a housewarming gift and in hopes that it would cheer me up. After reading raving reviews online, he decided to purchase a chocolate cake from their company early July. The cake was said to be delivered in a week. Here comes a week and no cake has arrived. He couldn't call so I called on his behalf about 5 times from mid July until early August. Of course, I was left to leave messages each time and I thought I had the decency to provide them with my phone number, order number and the description of the cake, hoping that it would decrease the amount of work they needed to do to investigate the case. Lo and behold, NO RETURN OF ANY OF MY CALLS. Should I be surprised? Of course I was at first. However, by my 3rd call, I gave up and simply left messages and hoped they would even have the human decency and courtesy to return calls. Regardless, no matter how good their cakes are, having a successful business means having good customer relations and good customer service. Did Daisy Cakes have either? No. Ironic how this company comes from the South yet they clearly lack the Southern hospitality that makes the region so wonderful. Never again will I even CONSIDER stepping foot in their store or even perusing their online store. Never have I ever felt so disrespected from a business to not even receive calls about status inquiries. I hope this review helps people consider buying from their store as well.

Been waiting a month to receive $107.00 order. Not a peep from this sorry excuse for a startup. A bunch of country bumpkins who should consider sticking to church bake sales rather than pretending to be in business. This operation is run worse than if in Kabul.

glancing over the previous reviews, i'm guessing daisycakes just got too big too fast, and didn't handle it well . . . but as for my experience, it was exemplary. they HAVE learned from any "mistakes" they may have made earlier on. first of all, my daughter had a lemon cake sent to my husband and me in june. it arrived well packaged, providing lots of fun excitement for the entire family for the next several days. BUT, unfortunately, we all agreed that although the cream cheese frosting and lemon filling were wonderful, the cake itself was not only "not good" but was actually icky. of course we didn't tell our daughter, but shortly thereafter, she asked specifically about it-was it delicious enough that she should send them whenever a mailorder gift was called for . . . ? well at that point, we told her exactly what i just described above. she then felt terrible, and we had to try to convince her that the whole experience as a whole was definitely worth the cost, and was just so much fun, etc. etc. later that day, i just felt so bad that i had made HER feel badly, so i ordered her and her husband a carrot cake (she had mentioned that she saw on shark tank that it was awesome). when theirs arrived, they had a blast unwrapping and thawing it, then when they finally started eating it, they said it was absolutely delicious. they had my husband and me over for dessert so we could try it for ourselves, and much to our surprise, it truly was unbelievably undeniably delicious on every possible level. so-i was happy that it turned out this way for them, but this made it seem that much stranger that ours was yucky. so . . . i sucked it up and made a call to daisycakes and explained the whole situation to them. without even a second thought, they apologized profusely, and insisted on sending me another cake and some lemon curd, all free of charge. they sent me the red velvet cake, since i had said how much i loved their cream cheese frosting. when the cake arrived only 3 days later, they had included FOUR containers of the delectable lemon curd along with the red velvet cake, which turned out to be probably the best cake i have ever had in my entire life. reinforcing that the first cake we had received was definitely defective in some way. bottom line: we absolutely will be sending daisycakes to friends and relatives any time in the future for special events and/or holidays. love the product, and love the company!!!

I also saw Daisy Cakes on Shark Tank and have always wanted to order a cake. Finally got around to it last week. Ordered and received the cake the same week. Online ordering was super easy. Read the shipping instructions and placed my order. So happy to finally try the fall sampler! Yumm!

I believe I have reviewed Daisy Cakes previously, or at least commented on their site by email. I felt the need to post another review as a result of my recent order. I was late in placing my order and it seemed that I could not receive the cake in time for an important birthday celebration. But when I called, I found that Daisy Cakes was able to ship the cake out to me right away - I cannot express more sincerely how appreciative I was!! I previously ordered the coconut cake last spring for a friend's birthday, and it was absolutely scrumptious. This time, I ordered the lemon cake. I was a little worried that it would be tart, but my fears were for naught!! It was, once again, an absolutely fabulous cake, and everyone loved it! The cakes are shipped frozen and it solid packing, so they arrive in perfect condition. I will NEVER hesitate to order another Daisy Cake, and I'm sure I will, although I will have to restrain myself in order to limit the inches to my waistline. You cannot go wrong with Daisy Cakes!!!

The cake arrived just on time for my husband's birthday and the cake is excellent. I couldn't believe how incredible and creative the sample cake is. For about the same price as the others, I had a piece of each: Carrot, Lemon, Velvet and Chocolate. A little pricey is true, but my husband deserves a good cake once in a while lol.

I love Daisy Cakes! We had a Daisy Coconut Cake. It came perfectly packaged with no shifting and frozen solid. The cake was huge and beautiful. I cut several pieces to defrosted and put the other half in the freezer, it's easily bigger than two standard cakes. The icing is so creamy and the cake so moist and the coconut, moist, sweet and a great texture. As my husband said "it melts in your mouth" ... my sons just smiled and nodded and kept eating! It is without a doubt the best cake we've ever had. After typing this, it has me craving Daisy Cake again! I'm anxious to try their other flavors. facebook.com/photo.php?f…

I was really impressed with this company when I saw them on Shark Tank. But, have had a terrible experience with them since. I ordered two cakes for $107 online - to have them shipped to my sister's 40th. I receive a confirmation - all is good. On her birthday she didn't get it. I called and the bumbling assistant guaranteed me it would be in the mail the next day and that she'd call me back with a tracking number that day... Nada. I call both numbers on the site, which lead to different voicemail greetings. One of them is so harried and condescending - instead of apologizing - it blames the delay UPS and the fact that the cakes are perishable. HELLO PEOPLE - you aren't the only people selling perishable items. Not all perishable items are shipped on Monday and Tuesday. This is quite possible the worst and most unprofessional company I have ever done business with. Happy Mother's Day!! Edit +1 - they just got the cake and said it was truly delicious!

I saw this Company on Shark Tank and had to have their lemon curd cake!! Being on the West Coast, I contemplated for months spending $40 to ship a $50 cake. I mean there are plenty of great bakeries around Newport Beach, why would I need to have a cake shipped from the East Coast?? How much better could it be?? So I tried a couple of very popular bakeries around and still could not get Daisy Cakes lemon curd cake out of my mind. So I gave in and ordered one!! Man, I am glad I did!!! The Sharks were right; this cake is amazing!!! It truly is the best lemon curd cake I've ever had!!!!! I'm only sorry that I didn't order 2 as they can last up to 6 months frozen. I would give 100 stars if I could! I highly recommend trying Daisy Cakes!!

Daisy Cakes are awesome. I have ordered 4 cakes and each one was better than the last. However, the pound cakes seem to be better than the layer cakes! I'm partial to pound cake. The shipping is very expensive but well worth it.

Omgggg saw them on shark tank and had to order one! We ordered the lemon cake. It was delicioussssss, I just snuck a slice right now hehehe. We obviously didn't finish it the first day we got it but you just put it in the freezer and it's good as new! Only takes a few hours to thaw! Only thing that sucks is the price of shipping is practically the same amount as the cake butttt once in awhile they have 10% off and I think I may order one again for a special occasion

I just received my 3rd Daisy Cake and man are these cakes DELISH! This time a friend sent me a Coco-Mo cake which is even better than I thought it would be. It's a several layer white cake with butter icing covered with coconut! So moist and delicious. I've also had a couple of their 24 Karat Cakes which are also fantastic! I highly recommend either one. These are great for gifts as I've sent one of these cakes to a friend and everything went spendidly. Once you order, your cake is sent out 7 days later and you are given an arrival date. The cake I sent was delivered right on time with no problems. I'll always be a customer of Daisy Cakes!

I saw them on Shark Tank and Lemon is my favorite, so I went back and forth trying to decide to spend the hefty shipping charge. . . I eventually gave in and so happy I did!!! The lemon cake and lemon curd is absolutely the best I've ever had - and I am originally from Wisconsin, so pastries and baked goods were part of my daily life, ha! This cake thaws delightfully and lasts in the freezer like they say, up to 6 whole months. On month 4, I took the last piece out of the freezer and left it out to defrost and it tasted just as good as the first day! Well worth the price. I recommend buying two at a time to get best bang for your shipping bucks. I will continue to buy these cakes for every event or special occasion I have!

I love the show shark tank and I love cake. This is a great company. I have ordered a total of four cakes from this company over the last two years. My first cake was for my birthday. It was the sampler which included carrot, lemon, choc, and red velvet. The red velvet and choc were my favorites. I have also ordered a choc mint , peanut butter choo choo, choc Carmel. My second order I scored the deal buy one cake get the second free. All of my cakes have arrived on time and tasting delicious. The cake to ratio frosting was perfect and the homemade taste makes me wish I could order one of these cakes for every special occasion . These cakes came frozen and freeze very well if you don't feel like eating it all at once. I would say thiscake feeds 4-6 people depending on how big you slice the cake. What really impressed me about this company was their customer service . I was sent the wrong cake by mistake with the buy one get one free offer. I called the company and they had my cake shipped the next day and the mistake cake I got to keep . Overall ,I will turn to these company for my cake needs. The carrot cake really is one of the best flavors . Chunks of carrots with delicious frosting and most cake. Go get yourself a daisy cake.

I too saw Daisy Cakes on Shark Tank, I recently moved to the area and drove to what I thought was a bakery. NO - I arrived at a house and a garage with a sign "office" on it. I entered the "office" and was trying to find out if they had a bakery (store) that I could buy a cake for my husband. We had to be quiet because one woman was on the phone, the other 2 women didn't seem to understand what I was asking - it was just WEIRD! They were telling me yes they have a bakery and handed me their brochure, I assume to order a cake by phone. I left just baffled - NOT how I would expected this business to be run, in a house and a garage? So did not get to try their cakes, and I don't plan on trying their cakes!

I ordered several of these cakes for relatives and myself. The general consensus among everyone is that the carrot cake was the only one worth eating. Our lemon cake was dry, next to no lemon custard. Chocolate was to much. Pina Colada dry and not enough custard in between the layers. Much of what I ordered with the exception of the carrot cake went in the garbage. Dealt with web glitches and no cake delivery to a cake left by the delivery service at someone else's house which had sat outside on their deck for a couple days in the summer heat before anyone noticed it. Daisy even sent out a replacement cake at one point and that was dry as well and had to go in the garbage! A lot of money for these cakes & delivery- it was not money well spent.
