Not much to look at on the outside but awesome food for a great price. Well worth the drive off the highway. Had the bbq pork with hush puppies, candied yams and coleslaw. Pork melted in my mouth and sides were great! Husband got the flounder sandwich, two big pieces of fish and a bbq pork sandwich. Tasted great! If you want no frills local bbq, this is the place, only bout 5 min off I26. Takeout is really popular here, at least 6 takeout orders while we ate. And i guess the ribs must be good too as they were out of them.

The food was pretty good. I loved the red rice but the fish could have been fried better. Nonetheless a great place to grab some food for the soul.

Stopped here as we were traveling towards I-95 after a weekend in Asheville. Not wanting fast food, we "yelped BBQ" and we were directed here. We walked in and were the only customers at 12:30 on a Monday. We ordered at the counter and then 2-3 others came in for take-out, which seems to be a pretty big business. My friend ordered the ribs and said they were tasty and tender. I prefer smoked BBQ that isn't "sauce dependent" so II had the fried flounder dinner and found it delicious. Crisp, light, corn meal batter, not at all greasy, nor did it taste like the oil had flavored of other things. We both thought the hush puppies were equally delicious! The BBQ beans were good as well. The cole slaw was fresh and not overly dressed, but unremarkable. If you want a good alternative to fast food. Drive an extra five minutes off I-26 and check this place out. This is true local color, and extra great for fried fish!

Wonderful food at good prices. We have 6 people with us and all got the fried chicken with various sides. Everything was delicious. My personal favorites were the rice with gravy, macaroni and cheese, and candied yams. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. Definitely worth the stop when traveling.

Building is kinda sketch (we almost left - thought it was closed), but the food was pretty awesome. Legit southern BBQ.

Stopped on our way home from Hilton Head. Was not impressed with the building but the food was awesome! I had the barbecue ribs and they were as good as I've ever had anywhere. Super good soul food and the people were very friendly. I will be back

The place does not look good at all but I enjoyed the food. It was good. They need to improve at least the door and more people will eat there.

I visited for the first time on 4th of July and had the tilapia combo plate and it was amazing. Everything was freshly cooked and the portion size was more than enough, I definitely will go back and recommend to others.

The food was excellent and so was the service. I ordered the Florida Brim fried fish dinner. The fish was fried to perfection.
