Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Small hole-in-the-wall Italian mom and pop place...who knew! The bread served with a side of olive oil with roasted red peppers in it is to die for. Absolutely delicious! I ordered the Lasagna and a house salad while the girlfriend order the chicken parm. Both were fantastic! Service was great and very attentive. Hey, they even have good sweet tea! Highly recommend this place for some authentic Italian food!

The italian food here is something dreams are made of. Their mozzarella stick appetizers are the coolest thing ever! Huge slices dipped in batter and fried for maybe 1-2 minutes. PERFECTION. Ordered the penne al vodka (with panchetta pieces) and man oh man was it amazing. You can tell everything is made to order. I only ate half of my meal because i was STUFFED. So good. if i'm ever in Myrtle Beach again i'll be back!

Came here late on a rainy night and throughly enjoyed our dinner. We brought the kids and we were greeted warmly and treated kindly by the staff!! Our kids do well I'm "nice places". We started off with Bruschetta, fried mozzarella and Caprese... Followed by salads with vinaigrette. Our waitress brought a nice warm, herbed baguette and a homemade pepper and garlic olive oil. We ordered veal Marsala, gnocchi, cheese ravioli and a kids cheese pizza. Everyone ate, the food was fresh and tasty! We were very casual on dress and it did not se to matter but I would probably wear less beachy clothes next time. We will be back!

Simply wonderful. Small place, but only 2 servers had us concerned about the speed of service late on a Wednesday evening. Ordered bruschetta which was brought to the table quickly and was good. But then they brought the bread. Right out of the oven with a tinge of garlic to it, my wife said it best "Better than a warm donut!" Didn't expect salads, but they were brought shortly thereafter. Then the magnificent entrees came out. Veal parmigiana, lasagne and stuffed eggplant with penne pasta. The meat sauce on the veal and lasagne was out of this world. Turned out service was just fine, food was excellent, and if I come back to MB again? I'll be sure to hit this place.

Just had an amazing dinner there. Mussels, bread with oil and red pepper, salad with house dressing-all amazing! We ate too fast for pictures but also enjoyed the lasagna and spaghetti and meatballs as well as a tiramisu for dessert. Very busy but they were gracious enough to seat us-so accommodating. Look no further for an authentic Italian meal. Service was outstanding as well. We will be back when visiting again-best ending to our birthday/baby moon weekend! I do recommend making a reservation to make it easier on the staff:)

Our family (a party of 9) had dinner there last week while vacationing at Myrtle Beach. It was one of the best Italian meals I've ever had. The Bruschetta was amazing and different from your typical bruschetta and the roasted pepper dipping oil for the complimentary bread was amazing! Our family ordered the Penne a la Vodka, Spinach Ravioli, Chicken Parpadella, Chicken Marsala, Seafood Zuppa Di Pesce and ALL of it was delicious. Our waitress was great, so friendly and super attentive. One of our family members had visited Italy and said how authentic it was to true Italian food that she had in Italy. If you are in Myrtle Beach, I would definitely recommend trying it but make a reservation because it is not a large restaurant. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Myrtle Beach.

Simple, fresh and delicious. ....together with great service make this restaurant one of the best places to eat in myrtle beach.
(5)Mike K.
Simply the best spaghetti bolognese I've had outside of Italy. Loved it!! Plus, the owner made us feel extremely welcomed even though we walked in with 2 screaming kids. What a find!!!
(5)Craig M.
Wow. Beautifully decorated and unassuming in a strip mall. The meal started with some fabulous complimentary garlic bread with fantastic dipping sauce. We had the chicken parmesan (recommend it), chicken piccata (home made noodles), spaghetti and meatballs and the lasagna. Many options and you can't go wrong. The best Italian meal in the area!
(5)Ramon M.
Best damn shrimp scampi I ever had...actually best tasting shrimp period! I mos definitely will return on my next visit to da beach
(5)Ipek S.
I would say pretty good food for the South Carolina standards... Especially the bread was amazing
(4)Julian C.
The food here is good and fresh. This is the second time I have been here. The service was great.
(5)Alina A.
Seriously one of the best places I've ever been. The pasta was amazing and everyone in our party agreed. Service was quick and the place is absolutely gorgeous. Would recommend to everyone!!
(5)Brian D.
Nice little place . Make a reservation if going in season . Pasta is made fresh and sauces tasted really good . Bread must be bake in house and is served pipping hot. The tomato bruschetta dip is really good to go with it . Service was a little slow, but I didn't mind it. The meal includes a house salad or soup, both were fresh and very flavorful . The best thing about this restaurant is the prices ! They are fair and not overpriced. Entree are about 10.00 less then the tourist Italian restaurant that are on restaurant row .
(5)Steve A.
Ridiculously good Italian. We are here for five more nights and will be back for sure. Bread offered up as an appetizer is amazing, along with oil and pepper dip. I consider Chicken Marsalia as a standard, easy to judge against other recipes and by my estimate, this is top notch. Go, especially all you folks from NY/NJ. You will be happy you did!
(5)Katie L.
This place was delicious! We went for two nights in one week and both times the meal was fantastic. The only reason why I am not giving it full stars is because the bread was hard on the outside and not soft in the inside (what can I say, I'm a bread fanatic). Anyways, the pasta was delicious and most certainly enjoyed the penne vodka with chicken. If you love good food, this little gem is certainly a place to enjoy!
(4)Debbie G.
The BEST Italian food in Myrtle Beach! Very reasonable too for such high quality food! My husband and I have been to Myrtle Beach 22 times and far and away this was one of the best meals we've ever had! It started with the beautiful ambience when we walked in, elegant- white, crisp and clean. However, very casual dress, we had shorts on. The bread was amazing! I decided to have the minestrone soup, my husband had the salad. The soup was like something my grandmother used to make- chunks of veggies and beans. I had the Chicken Veneciana. It was very unique, spicy and amazing! Our waitress was amazing and told me the spiciness could be adjusted to my taste. I said leave it as is. The dish had fresh cut veggies with hunks of chicken and melted Asiago cheese. This was served over home made parpadella pasta. My husband had chicken parm. He said the seasoning on the chicken was fresh and the sauce on the pasta was the best he's ever had! I have never written such a great review on Yelp!

We were looking for an Italian restaurant on our last night, and Ciao was closed... Boy were we glad. The good here was some of the best Italian food We had in a long time. The calamari was outstanding to start with a hearty red sauce, then their bread with the oil, garlic and roasted red peppers was incredible. I had the veal parmigiana, an my friends had veal osso buco and spinach ravioli.... We cleaned our plates completely. Our waitress annalee (hope we spelled it correctly) was so nice and pleasant. If you want a relaxing atmosphere with phenomenal Italian food....look no further.

My friends and I were searching for a good Italian place while on vacation and decided to give this restaurant a try. We figured it would be tough to get a table at 7pm on a Saturday night - especially without a reservation. When we arrived the place was packed. To our surprise, however, a gal who seemed to be the hostess and server greeted us and said she'd check the books to see if she could get us in. Within a few minutes we had a table. The service was efficient and hospitable which was impressive for the small staff and busy restaurant. The food was great. We were served hot bread fresh from the oven with a great roasted pepper sauce. Our dinner order came with salads dressed with a vinaigrette and freshly grated parmigiana. The dishes we ordered were Sway Filet Florentine, Chicken Vaneciana, and the Eggplant Rollatini. Sway, for those who don't know, is a white flesh fish similar to tilapia with a thicker flake. The dish was savory, served with thick pappardelle pasta and a bed of spinach. The Vaneciana was fantastic, stuffed with goat cheese and prosciutto- the flavors came out great. The Eggplant also had great flavor. For dessert we had a couple of cappuccinos, lemoncello cake and a couple mini cannolis. The cake was nice and light with perfect lemon flavor and mascarpone. The cannoli shells were baked off site but still tasted fresh and the filling was house made to order - great consistency and flavor. Overall this was a super find. Everything from the greeting to the last bite was a great experience and the food was delicious. This is one place I highly recommend for visitors and locals alike!

I was so pleased to find this yelp recommended resturant after a long day walking on the beach. The BEST eggplant Parmesan I've ever had. Substituted the penne for garlic mashed potatoes which was good. Hubby had eggplant rollatini which was great, but mine was better. Started with the first salad on the menu (Bella vita?), and minestrone (more like a bean stew). I'm a fan of stacked food and the salad won me over with its tower like presentation and balsamic reduction swirl. The hubby stole my soup it was that good. Did I mention how good the eggplant Parmesan was? We ended by sharing a tiramisu. It was a solid effort, the hubby liked it more than I did, but I like my lady fingers to be dripping with espresso. They went all out, pure marscapone (no whip cream cheating here). Perfect diner, great service too.

I'm from NYC and I love this place. The decor is nice and clean. Staff is super friendly and attentive. This is why I love the south. The food was great. Ordered two appetizers and an entree to share. My gf and I don't eat that much so portion was perfect and we even had some leftovers. The bruchetta was really good and the tomato and mozzarella was your standard. I'm from NYC and I love my eggplant parm from Brooklyn NY so it was tough to top but it was certainly delicious and I would be back!
(4)Steve F.
The red sauce was phenomenal. We knew that we made a great choice when the fresh bread and olive oil with peppers came to start. The lasagna was awesome. Highly recommend!!!

Not sure how to impress the meal, we experienced at Toscana. My wife is an avid reviewer, spend what seemed to be days, maybe weeks looking for the perfect places to eat dinner on our visit to Myrtle Beach. As Italian is a staple in our lives, she narrowed it down to this quaint, resturant called Toscana. After a few nights of getting kids though there meals, it seemed like this experience wasn't going to happen. About the give up, then it dawned on us, see if they have carry out, and yes was the answer. Gnocci is her go to when trying a new resturant. She said is was perfect, with a perfect creamy sauce, lite starting salad, and hot freash baked bread. I will be suprised if she doesn't want one the the plane ride home. Me on the other hand, started out with Pasta Faggioli, almost could have ended it there, with a little hot bread dipping into it. But the Pork Osso Buco was calling my name, eat me, eat me, so I did. I enjoyed evey morsal, the sauce and the garlic mashed potatoes were perfect, cooked to perfection, and eaten with great enjoyment. So as i sit here and wonder how much better the meal would have been if experienced inhouse. As you enter this experience, maybe not expecting much as it sits in a strip mall thingee. Once entering the doors into a Little Italy, a great atmosphere, bright colors, friendly staff greeting you, beautiful white linens, people laughing and enjoying each others company. I can't imagine the food being any better, but what would have made it perfect would have been being transported to Italy for a most perfect meal, and time spend with my wife. Either way I am sure would be very enjoyable, don't miss the chance to dine in, or take it home. Toddmichael

This review comes from a true Italian and a connoisseur of all food Italian. Best. Italian. Food. I've had outside of my own mother's red sauce, The staff is friendly, the ambiance is exquisite. From the moment you have their homemade bread you know you're in for the real deal. House dressing is out of this world., Do not miss the fried Mozzarella. I've been each time (sometimes twice) I visit Myrtle Beach and this place has caught on big time and that makes me so happy because I know it'll be there the next time I visit. Best Italian food in Myrtle, some of the best Itlaian food I've had and I'm insanely picky. I know it's easy when you're on vacation to go with a known commodity, an Okive Garden or a Carrabbas, but for the love of God go out on a limb and gie this place a try, you will be happy you did.

This is our first time at Myrtle Beach. I looked on yelp and found Toscana. This was one of the best Italian food we have ever had. The fresh bread and homemade olive oil concoction was a great start. Our meals were so delicious. We got the Spaghetti and Meatballs and Fettuccini Alfredo. The desert was amazing. Our 3 year old daughter ate the bread, appetizer and her cheese pizza so fast. Awesome place and highly recommended!!
(5)Krista T.
I don't often write reviews but this place was so good that I couldn't resist. They let you mix and match on the menu. I started with the lobster bisque and had spinach ravioli with prosciutto cream sauce. Yummy!! Hubby had the Gorgonzola cream sauce with chicken and lobster. It was outstanding!! The decor is absolutely adorable and up dated with a rich airy feel. Would definitely recommend to others and return if I were in the area again.

We entered w/o a reservation - the owner was nice enough to seat us regardless (place filled up pretty quickly). We shared the Bruschetta and Mozzarella La Carrozza for starters - both very good. Main courses included Spaghetti Carbonara (ok) - Shrimp Scampi & Gnocci Cremina (good) - Spinach Ravioli (very good). Service for the most part was fine. There were some issues. 1-Seating and table was wet - had to be dried off 2-Bread - which was very good - came out after the appetizers 3-Wine wasn't chilled Nice ambiance - reasonably priced - average food
(3)Chris S.
Somehow in this redneck riviera full of mini golf and pancake restaurants this little gem of a restaurant stands out and serves very delicious, somewhat anachronistic Italian delights that should satisfy the soul. Go here, eat here, and remember I told you so.
(5)Linda M.
Like being in Rome! The food was really that good! Fresh bread and dipping oil with herbs and roasted red peppers in it was a great start. House salad with house dressing was perfect. (They only have the one dressing --not disappointing!). I had fettuccine Alfredo with a grilled chicken breast and sautéed spinach. My special request was "absolutely no problem!" With a glass of moscato from Chile, it was heavenly. My husband had what he said was the best Chicken Marsala he ever tasted! Service was professional, yet friendly, food was sublime!
(5)Ledbetter A.
I loved the food, ambience and servers. Everything was fantastic except for the portion sizes - not really adequate.
(4)Bill W.
The food at this restaurant is spectacular! My girlfriend and I came from Austin, TX to visit friends and found the reviews here on Yelp! It was a great experience before proposing at the beach!
(5)Liza M.
Delicious! Cozy and romantic atmosphere. Great bruschetta. I had the gnocchi and my boyfriend had the tortellini. Everything was perfect. They do not serve liquor - only beer and wine.
(4)Derek M.
Went for dinner and was blown away by the quality, freshness, and authenticity of this place. Even the owner came out to check on us. I've dined in the north end of Boston, the finer restaurants in San Francisco and New York City and this place goes toe to toe. Simply amazing!
(5)John T.
This was a very good meal. My wife had the cucumber soup and it was truly light and refreshing. I had the salad and the house dressing was extremely tasty. The bread that was provided with our dinner was fresh out of the oven, and more than enough for us. For our main course, I had the spaghetti and sausage and my wife had the lasagna. Both dishes were very good and the portions were just right. Our server was very attentive and offered a lot of good advice that was spot on.

If you take the time to look past the Calabash buffets and other tourist traps, there are some decent eats to be found in Myrtle Beach. Our most recent discovery while visiting my mother-in-law was Toscana's. I was born and raised in New York and am from a strong Italian background, so I know Italian food. Toscana's was spot on with really great food, and as corny as it sounds, you can taste the love they put into each dish. Toscana's is located in a mini strip mall type area, so it could be hard to find. Once you step inside you'll forget about the exterior because the interior will blow you away. There is a lot of white in the room, from the walls to the table cloths, and it could have been overwhelming. Yet the way the lighting is done rather than clash with your eyes it is actually quite pleasing. Another great feature is the huge Tuscan-themed mural that takes up an entire wall in the dining room. The service was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It was a touch slow, especially considering that there were only a handful of other customers, but it was one of those places where you can just hang out with a glass of wine in hand and relax during a wonderful meal. The complimentary bread gives you a hint as to the great meal you have ahead of you. The bread was served hot out of the oven (when we requested a second loaf we had to wait a few minutes while they put a fresh one in) and has parm cheese baked into the crust. Not only is the bread good but the oil accompanying it is top notch (like a true Italian joint, there's no butter here.) The oil is infused with roasted red peppers, giving it a great flavor and touch of heat that is addicting. The salads were nothing above average, but still good. On the other hand, the minestrone soup was pretty amazing, with good chunks of veggies and a great overall taste. I always go for salad over soup, but after stealing a taste of my wife's minestrone I was kicking myself for my selection. For dinner I ordered the lasagna ($15), and it damn near blew my mind. First off, the sauce is authentic Italian. It's not sweet like a canned sauce, but a great tomato sauce with herbs and such to bring out that perfect flavor. The lasagna was the perfect portion, in that it is definitely plenty filling and the average diner should be able to walk away with a portion of it in a doggie bag. However I was so taken in by this delectable dish that I ate the entire thing, and loved every bite of it. I rarely order the same thing multiple times at a restaurant, but it will be hard to steer clear of the lasagna the next time we go. My wife opted for the shrimp scampi ($20), and that was an equally delicious dish. One of the great features of Toscana's is that their pasta is homemade, and that really makes a huge difference. Her pasta was cooked perfectly and you could taste and feel the homemade love that was put into making it. The scampi sauce was wonderful with a good wine kick to it and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. I kind of wish the dinner portions were a touch smaller so we could have ordered some dessert, but alas I saved no room for it this time around. If you want an honest to goodness, knock your socks off Italian dinner, this is the place to go. I think it's safe to say that this is my favorite restaurant in the Myrtle Beach area, and I know we will be back next time we roll into town...and I'll definitely save room for dessert!

This is my first ever comment of a restaurant, but since I used the previous Reviews of this place to make our decision, and also heard a neighboring table mention they found Toscana on the internet I felt compelled to warn anyone looking for good Italian food in Myrtle Beach. The place-- We weren't surprised at the location of Toscana's as some of the best Italian is found in tucked away places, but the trash outside the front door should have been an alert. The waiter smokes out front and should have taken the time to pick up, and the owners wife drove right over it. Upon entering, the white furniture will get your attention. Needed sunglasses. Linen tablecloths were covered with glass so they don't have to replaced. Ours was wiped with a dirty towel and didn't feel or look clean, and even had an eyelash under the glass in the middle of the table. The front door and mirrors were also in need of wipe downs. For cleanliness of what could see, I give this place a D. Don't want to think of what what I couldn't see. The service-- our Server (Asialee?) was extremely sweet, and helpful. She was innocent of the train wreck that she would bring in the form of our dinner. Table candle was not lit. The food-- My father was born in Italy, but it doesn't mean I should open an Italian restaurant. My wife and I have eaten Italian food all over the US and Europe, and I have to say the food we had at Toscana's was not good. My wife ordered the Chicken Marsala, and I had Sway Filet (whitefish). So, to start we begin with the salad and bread. Simple bed of greens with a what seems to be a bruschetta-type relish that was not fresh tasting, at all. Bread was warm and delicious. The Marsala sauce was void of any flavor, and the sauce on my fish was very heavy and tasteless, even though it was smothered in processed chopped garlic. Prices were in line with good italian food, that was not found at this restaurant.

My boyfriend and I went here on a trip to Myrtle Beach after looking for restaurants on Yelp and we were pleasantly surprised by what we found. Toscana Italian Bistro is fully deserving of its 5 star rating. From the outside you don't really expect to walk into a very classy restaurant after arriving at a shopping center next to a beach gift shop- low lighting, candlelit tables, and white linen tablecloths and white seats (it was a little more than what we were expecting). The menu items are a little difficult to interpret if you aren't familiar with Italian, but the descriptions are detailed enough to lead you to the right dinner choice. We ordered the bruschetta as our appetizer and it was delicious! Our meals came with a salad or soup and bread and the entrees were delivered within perfect timing - we didn't feel rushed and we didn't have to wait too long. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant.
(5)Devin K.
Bread was really good. I had lobster ravioli, which was really good too.
(4)Nida K.
Okay. What can I say about this place? It's marvelous!! Martina was an awesome server - was very warm and welcoming even though we (party of 4) came 15 minutes before closing. We ordered: Bread: given to tables for free. Was the best best best bread I have ever had at a restaurant! we even asked for seconds!! Shrimp Florentine: which is jumbo shrimp wrapped in prosciutto with polenta. Wow!! This was so amazingly good. So flavorful!! So good that even when done with the plate, we asked the server to leave it, to dip our bread in. Lasagna: this was so good. Not acidy or too powerful in taste. You can tell that all the ingredients were made there and fresh. Very yummy. It's a huge portion but it all got ate! Seafood Fettucini Alfredo: this was also very good! Again another large portion and we had to take some home with us. It was flavorful and full of seafood. Very good. Crema de Gorgonzola con Aragosta: this was a suggestion of our server. It was so good. The lobster was so fresh and the ricotta cheese went perfectly with this dish. I was just amazed at how the flavors all married. It was all so spectacular in my mouth! We told the server that it was one of our birthdays and she returned with the other server and the owners mom to sing her "happy birthday" with a candle lit cannoli. It was very sweet of them. If I'm ever in Myrtle Beach again, this will most definitely be a place I stop! Thank you all!!
(5)Amanda D.
I think the owner's rude response makes it evident how you will be treated. Also, it isn't slander if it is true.
(1)Laura L.
We just got back from eating at Toscana's for the first time and we can't stop talking about how great everything was. The calamari was cooked perfectly and the dipping sauce was delicious. The fresh baked bread was served hot to the table with this wonderful olive oil and red pepper concoction. I could eat that with a spoon! My chicken piccata was great! My husband had the manicotti and it was wonderful! We wish we could drag the whole restaurant back to Chicago with us!
(5)Jamie V.
Really, the best I have ever had! I can't wait to get back to myrtle to have this again! Wow, is all we said after each dish!
(5)Melissa W.
If you like REAL Italian food where they make the pasta and sauces from scratch, this is your place. They serve up a big loaf of garlic bread with this fantastic marinara like sauce in olive oil. I was wanting something light, so decided on the Chicken Picatta. I savored every bite! I will say the house salad isn't the best, I wish I had tried the Gorgonzola salad instead... but the rest of the meal was was great. NOTE: If you are visiting and try to map the address on here, it's incorrect. Try 4209 N. Kings Hwy so you won't be taken in the wrong direction like I was.
(5)Randy P.
Small family Italian restaurant with excellent cuisine. Fresh bread served with either salad or minestrone .Entrees were moderately priced and very tasty from the veal Saltimboca to chicken marshals even the lasagna was outstanding. Service was great.
(5)Nichole B.
Excellent food. Good atmosphere. Their bread and pastas are delicious. The tiramisu is amazing!
(5)Bob F.
Good Food--Poor Service Before going to Toscana, we read the Yelp reviews, and decided we wanted a good Italian meal in We were approached by our waiter and we ordered a glass of wine before deciding on our choice for a meal. We were disappointed with the salad brought to our table which consisted of two kinds of lettuce and grated carrot with the house Italian dressing. Our entrees were delivered. I ordered the Chicken Parpadella which was tasty, and enjoyable. The Chicken Picatta, (consisted of two chicken breasts and parpadell pasts). My wife said the entree didn't have any pop, and she found it bland. The pasta on her plate was good, but she ate only about half of her meal. When our drinks were served, a group of eight golfers arrived, and our waiter was visible, but not attentive. We noticed when the golfer group was served their salads theirs appeared to be quite different than ours, and the group was also offered grating cheese sprinkled on their salads which we were not. If you do go to Toscana, and want good service, make sure you go when there is not a large group. At no time did the server ask if we were pleased with our meals, even when he noticed my wives plate was not consumed. He became interested in our table only when he brought the check which included a 20% gratuity. I guess he felt he was due that since he had not bothered us during our meal. One suggestion, pay attention to your bill, or you may double tip.

Third time here in MB and third time i have eaten here. Once again delicious italian food. We started with Bruschetta and mozzarella caprese for appetizers. Both had plenty of flavor highlighted by fresh tomatoes. As a main course i chose the chicken romano, which consisted of 2 chicken breasts with fresh spinach, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, and ricotta cooked perfectly with penne in a lemon mushroom sauce that had tremendous flavor. I actually cleaned the plate with a half loaf of bread. My friends had the veal parmagiana and the veal toscana and had high praise for both saying the veal was tender and cooked perfectly and the sauces were delicious. We were also given hot bread with a dipping oil that looked like it had roasted peppers in it which was very tasty. From past visits I know they get busy as the height of the seaaon comes to MB so plan your visit accordingly as it is a small place. I believe they do take reservations but call ahead to be sure. This is a hidden Italian jewel in MB and should not be missed.

We had dinner today at this lovely local restaurant. The food was excellent. We ordered fish (Sway) and Eggplant Parmesan. We also had their chocolate cake for dessert. We loved everything we ordered. The owner and his mom came to ask us about the food. We had a great chat with them. We will definitely go there again.
(5)Frederick B.
Went for dinner this evening. The food was excellent. He had a steak and I the chicken Marsala. Portions extremely generous. Cocktails were reasonably priced as well as the wine. Try there own Toscana wine from CA. Mark our waiter was great. By the way she crab soup was super.

Our favorite Italian place in SC...great great great tasting food and good service...can't wait to go back to myrtle for this place
(5)Nicole R.
One of the best restaurants in Myrtle Beach. Huge menu with wide range of prices -- there is definitely something for everyone here. We had the goat cheese salad, the lasagna, and the spumoni bombe for dessert. Their sauce is the best -- not too sweet, perfect texture. We even came back the next night for dessert again and had the limoncello cake. Highly recommend!
(5)Brian R.
Excellent ambiance. Small location but very personal. Even good with kids, if not too loud.
(5)Krissy W.
Great Italian meal! There was six of us and dishes ranged from chicken marsala, to seafood zuppa over linguini, to a large veggie salad and everyone raved about their dishes. The ambiance is fresh and clean - all white. The best Italian I've had in Myrtle. You gotta try it!

Horrible service. Inconsistent food quality. Chicken Saltimbocca was great. Calamari was horrible. Spaghetti and Alfredo were so-so. Clueless staff - didn't notice or care that we were dissatisfied. Would never spend another dime here.

Food was really good. Only complaint is that there was no changing table in the bathrooms. Not very kid friendly."

One word for the food and service: amazing!

Wonderful food. Fantastic service. Super atmosphere. Love Italian? Try Tuscana.

THE BEST in Mytle beach. If you want to spend $16 at Olive Garden, spend the same amount here and get the real stuff. Owner Vinny Malasi makes the experience incredible. The service is outstanding and the food is wonderful. We had the sangria to drink with spaghetti carbonara. I had the egg noodles with the roasted pepper sauce. All of the pasta is made fresh evey day and you can tell. They use San Marzano tomatoes in their sauce (a special tomato from the volcanic soil in Italy). Meals are fairly priced ($15 or so). the fesh hot bread it better than Olive Garden's and comes with a wonderful insfused olive oil. the best Italian I have ever had. You can take the kids too--menu for them. The atmosphere is wonderful. Don't pay $25 a person for some greasy seafood buffet....spend your money here. You wonj't be disappointed.

Just as good as its sister restaurant, Villa Tuscana. Quality Italian food, served piping hot--the way it should be. Nice atmosphere and good service.

We were searching for an Italian place and this hit the spot with some classic dishes and a little more. The atmosphere seems very upscale and were a little hesitant because it was a two $ place, but everything was averagely priced. Service was great and food came out quick. I had a glass of Merlot (Bolla) which was great. Ordered the Mozzarella Completa which had mixed reviews at our table. Some loved it, I felt it left something to be desired. Meals came with bread, a red pepper type spread, and soup/salad. Bread was fantastic, the salads kind of bland, but fresh. Our meals included: fettuccini Alfredo, eggplant Parm, Toscana salad, and the special osso buco (he said it was a little salty). Portions were large, ingredients fresh and hot. Everything was delicious, but I wouldn't say the 'best' I've ever had. I would recommend though and go back.

Phenomenal food and service! We always trust the Yelp reviews and this place was no exception! We will be back!

Excellent Italian food. The service was great and everyone was so friendly I had the veal parmigiana and it was very well prepared and plated i would come here again on my next visit. It's not easy to find but its well worth the effort

Okay so we had a delicious chianti, two amazing salads, tasty crusty bread with roasted pepper dipping sauce and shrimp with crispy polenta and spinach. Sophia was lovely! We'll be back on Thursday!

Very small, quiet place. Service was excellent. The home made italian dressing on my salad was second to none and they bring you a fresh hot loaf of bread with very flavorful dipping oil. I ordered crab stuffed chicken which seemed small when it came to the table but was extremely filling. I wanted to have dessert and coffee but there was simply no more room in my stomach.

Dinner gets a 5 star rating. Service was a 4 star rating. Dinner was simply delicious. We were a party of 4, all adults. I called to make reservations and told that we didn't need them. I was hoping for outdoor seating, however their outdoor seating consisted of two small bistro tables with cars parked in front of them. Once seated inside the atmosphere was very calm, but busy. The waitress (there were only two working on a Saturday night), was extremely busy, but cheerful and friendly. It took a while for her to greet our table and get out our bottle of wine (a Pinot noir, $45) and non-alcoholic beverages, but after that she was pretty good with table follow up. For appetizers the table ordered the escargot and fried mozzarella. Both were rich in taste, but perfectly cooked. We also shared two toscano salads (1 per couple). We had told the waitress we were splitting them, but they came out as two salads and we split them ourselves. The aged Parmesan cheese and vinegar dressing made the salad. Unbeknownst to us, we each received a complementary bowl of minestrone soup. It was full of flavor and various vegetables and beans. Dinner entrees were impressive. I had the crab stuffed chicken ($23). It was perfectly cooked and had a bountiful amount of crab. It was almost difficult to find the chicken. The other three people in my party each had a veal entree. Again, perfectly cooked and seasoned. We ordered a second bottle of wine ( a Pinot noir, $45) and six desserts. Again, the desserts didn't disappoint. Freshly made. Small changes in service would easily make this a 5 star review. Enjoy!

Everything we ate at this place was excellent... my lasagna was impeccable and my appetizer was so good I wish I had the recipe. It was the shrimp Florentine. My SO had spaghetti and he loved it, our girls ordered pizza of course and they liked it. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves good food that has actually been seasoned. TWO THUMBS UP!

Here in vacation and wanted something great. This related well so we decided to try it. Great service, but food was just a little in the meh side. It was good but not great.

Came here for our 16th wedding anniversary and was defiantly not disappointed! The food was fresh, handmade, and the dining area was very nice. All white interior and very prompt service will have us coming back again! Look for the small Italian place tucked in beside a giant Eagles store and you won't be disappointed!

Excellent bread to start our dinner. Bruschetta was good. We ordered gnocchi and lobster ravioli. Ravioli was great though gnocchi was a bit harder than expected. Loved their Teramisu. Staff was very friendly and service was excellent. Worth trying this place

my son had his normal spaghetti with meatball & sausage he never came up for air till the plate was clean, my wife ask if they had baked ziti which was not on the menu and they asked if she would mind if it was made with penne pasta she had no problem with that it was nice that they were so accommodating it made her day she had it with their meatballs and loved it I had the chicken parm a simple dish I know but one of my favorites it's all in the sauce which was very well made and my daughter we asked for an extra dish and we gave her some of everything she's a light eater and you know they give large portions she usually says all done very fast and her being autistic you have to give her what you think she will eat because when she is done she will never eat anything else added to her plate it was funny she finished her plate and then she slowly started to go to everyone's plate as you slowly saw her fork coming across the table eating off every ones plate I started calling her Helen Keller so you know she really loved everything my wife had so much ziti she took a to go plate two days later we eat leftovers in our hotel room she said "I'll have my ziti and meatball" too late dear it had been my midnight snack while everyone was sleeping... so we will say the food was excellent

We were greeted with friendly service by Alma. The complimentary fresh hot bread was out of this world with garlic oil dippy sauce. That could be a meal in its self. Our dinner party had the lasagna I'll say is the best south of New Jersey. The eggplant parmesan was outstanding; again the best south of the New Jersey. All the pastas are home made with plenty to leave you with little room for desert !!! I could here every night!!

Delicious food, great atmosphere and great service! We ended up here by accident, looking for another restaurant that ended up being closed. How lucky we were to find this gem! The bread and roasted red pepper and olive oil dip was amazing. You can tell this food is hand made on scene. The fish I had was flaky and moist. And the wine selection is even better. Be sure to save room for the tiramisu !!!

We chose Toscana for a small family reunion while we were in Myrtle Beach aaaand... I liked it. Our server was great - very nice, helped deflate some awkwardness. The ambience is great - elegant, a lovely mural on the wall. Everything was very tasty. Most of us had the lasagna, which was great. The minestrone was good, the salad was good, the bread was good - so yeah, Toscana is good.

This place was great!!! The food was great, the service was great and it wasn't expensive! We will definitely be coming back next year (and probably every time we come to Myrtle Beach)!

I have been looking forward to this meal all week! I knew I was traveling to the beach and I wanted a place that made homemade pasta. I even planned on ordering an extra meal so that I could have lunch for tomorrow. Unfortunately none of this happened and I left due to horrible service. The food looked great even though pricey but customer service can ruin a meal of deliciousness for me. When I walked in and asked for a table for one, the hostess looked confused. I was standing there so long waiting for a table that dinner patrons actually stared a me! There was a tiny table in the back corner by the bathroom where the staff seemed to keep their junk on. The hostess hurried them from the table and put a wrinkled cloth napkin on it and came to get me and told me to sit there. It was awkward, weird, servers walked by and ignored me. In a clean restaurant filled in white, I was seated at the dirtiest spot available, at a makeshift table. There weren't even salt and pepper shakers on it. Everyone else in the restaurant had beautiful tables with white linens, and a glass table with silverware, salt and pepper shakers, plates, bread, and attentive waiters. I had a makeshift table by the bathroom with dirty walls and a cloth napkin/tablecloth. After a while the same lady put a plate on the table....more time passed and I got silverware. More time passed and I got water. I already knew what I planned on ordering on the drink menu and food menu since I've been salivating at the menu online all week. Finally after being ignored even longer, I decided that no matter how excited I was about the food, being ignored and banished to the dirty corner like a step child meant that my money should not to be spent here. I wonder how long it took to notice that I left. Word of advice, if you are a lone diner like myself....go elsewhere! Seems like a nice place but they will not get a penny of my money.

We had fantastic meals night before the Myrtle.Beach Marathon. Bread and olive oil fantastic, delicious salads and soup, excellent spaghetti and meatballs. What a great find. We are from Boston, but this was better than Italian back home. Atmosphere and service very nice. What a gem.
(5)Jessica P.
Decided to walk to dinner and this was well worth it. Our server was wonderful and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I'm a vegetarian and the salad had Gouda cheese, walnuts with a very enjoyable dressing. Will come back anytime I'm in Myrtle Beach!
(5)Kim P.
Delicious and large portions. I wish the salad was more appetizing and the dip for the bread was more herb based and less tomatoes in it but, I still enjoyed it. Husband had shrimp scamp and said the lemon was overpowering. It could've just been a slightly off night. We'd try it again.

The bread was amazing.. And all six of my party had amazing entrees. I was completely impressed by the service and the quality. We will be back.

Mediocre food. I'm sorry, but if you think this tastes like authentic Italian food then you are sadly mistaken and need to seriously go to Italy. First, I had the bruschetta and the bread was a little soggy. The tomatoes tasted fresh though. I had the the seafood Alfredo dish (except I got the San Marzano sauce). I'll give them this, this seafood tasted fresh. Thank God. Red sauce was very watery and bland. The menu stated that it included mushrooms and broccoli in the dish, however, broccoli was nowhere to be found. The garlic bread and dipping sauce was also good; except this is also not authentic, but an Americanized version of pre-dinner bread. The reason why this place gets 3 stars instead of 2 is because our server, Martina, was nice and helpful. I am severely lactose intolerant and when my dish came out it appeared to have some sort of cream in it. I notified Martina and she took it back to the kitchen and basically yelled at the cook to make sure it had absolutely no dairy. And for that, I appreciate her! She also made very delicious wine suggestions. All in all the meal was alright, definitely nothing spectacular. And if you've ever had real Italian food, you'll be disappointed if you come here. Also... Fried potato strips on a salad? At an Italian restaurant? This is confusing to me in every way.

Best Italian food this Italian has had in a long time - except of course what my Mom & Dad used to make! I Highly recommend this cozy place!!!!
(5)Lorand M.
Regrettably...this place keeps going downhill. Recent experience was fine service wise...but ?? C'mon....McCormicks (or similar) salt and pepper grinders on a white table cloth ?? just tacky and unnecessary. Calamari was inedible...and should have been noticed by the server. These were obviously fresh off the Sysco truck...just awful....no way these were house breaded....rubbery and without any flavor. Accompanying sauce was flavorful...but not enough. Soup was luke warm and not very flavorful. Salad was minimal at best and would have benefited from a few roasted mini tomatoes....perhaps a cucumber or a slice or two of red onion ? Entrees were over sauced and over cheesed. Menu stated that pastas are made fresh in house....apparently this only applies to the "pasta" dishes ??? the penne accompanying our veal entrees were not fresh, but were dried. If you purport yourself to be an upscale Italian restaurant....you must not use dried pasta...just can't ! I hope this is another off night....we will go back one more time.

WONDERFULLY PERFECT! Hands down the BEST Italian I've had since I left NY!!! From the elegant decor, to the robust but subtle pesto, this place is great!!! Will visit here every time I'm in Myrtle Beach!!!!
(5)Helen P.
Just okay not great. Sorry but on New Year's Eve we visited with a fair amount of people. It was not our first visit and I ordered the chicken saltambouca. Sorry for the misspelling!! It was not flavorful and I've had this dish numerous times elsewhere so I was disappointed when I tasted it. I did not like the ricotta cheese in the dish. If I could give two and a half stars I would but I was feeling generous. My brother and husband ordered the chicken parmigiana. Quite frankly it was overpriced. Nice atmosphere but pricy for not being top notch. Good service and seems like a nice family.

Stopped by when our plane had engine problems OK, food , lousy Italian wine list. ACtually 3.5 stars

Fantastic!!! Stop reading this and just go there! From table bread to dessert, everything was excellent. My wife is Italian and her Nonna is from Italy. This food was on par with their cooking if not slightly better, don't tell them I said that! Friendly staff, clean, well decorated, and reasonably priced for the portions. You got to love a place that you can hear them hammering your veal cutlets when you order! Do yourself a favor and go there right now! This gem in the sand is worth every penny!
(5)Kendra C.
Best kept secret in myrtle!!!! I've been to Italy and this most def. compares!!! Even better than my nonnas! (Grandma shh don't tell her) I live all the way in Charlotte nc and would drive back here any day to eat the amazing food here! The staff was great the Decor reminds me of my family house in Italy. Couldn't be more impressed !!!

Our meals were beyond delicious!! We ordered a Sangria and although it wasn't on the menu they accommodated us and it was the most delicious sangria ever! We had the Lobster Ravioli. Escargot. Zuppa Alfredo. Tuscana Salad and all was fantastic! Intimate atmosphere. White leather furniture. Chandeliers. I would highly recommend stopping in'
(5)Lou S.
I agree that it is the best italian food in myrtle beach but it was a very average food. The winner was the bread and the spicy sauce that they serve before you order, absolutely delicious! Then, we ordered bruschetta- the bread wasn't super fresh, taste is okay but nothing special. The avocado salad supposed to have endives and radicchios in it, they were hard to find jn the soaky cheap balsamic sauce. The salad simply wasn't fresh. Last dish; gnocchi. The sauce was tasty, but the pasta was way overcooked. Definitely not italian style. Service was perfect, owners are really nice. Room is a little kitsch but romantic.
(3)Kara C.
Crispy garlic bread with a twist on the dipping sauce. Ground red peppers gives it a good flavor. Needed a little more garlic. Bruschetta was too sweet for us because of the balsamic vinegar. Salad was very good. A little on the sour side because of a different vinegar but my husband likes it that way. I ordered spaghetti and meat balls but with the wide noodles. Husband ordered veal parm. Sauce was a bit watery. Meatballs were pretty good but not great. Our waitress was very abrupt and not very friendly. Overall just slightly above average.

Amazing Italian food I and my wife ever had :)... It made our day! Friendly staff, romantic ambiance adds more value to the delicious food served. Far better than Olive Garden. Price might be little high but worth to go on special occasions :)
