Before a night of Karaoke and dancing my friends and I needed needed to fuel up. We sat down and within a couple minutes we were munching on chips and salsa (my favorite part of Mexican restaurants). We perused the menu and found it not to be incredibly interesting; just the basic taco, burritos, fajitas found at any typical Mexican establishment. Being in such a touristy town I expected to be wowed. We ordered, we ate, and we left. Nothing really too spectacular or memorable. I do remember the prices being decent, so go here if you're not trying to break the bank.

So slow that I got full on the chips and very subpar salsa while waiting. I ordered a Mojito that tasted like mint toothpaste stirred in my glass. Don't do it go to Taco Bell instead!

Service was fast and friendly and the chips and salsa starters were super fresh! I ordered the AC shrimp that was a tad bit salty but other than that great restaurant.

I really liked this place but they didn't have free drink refills when I went there about 6 months ago. But it could of changed

Been here a few days and the group wanted Mexican. The salsa should have been buried (truly awful, tasted like tomato juice with a few chopped onions). Very bland, asked them for some Texas Pete hot sauce to add some heat. The cheese dip came with jalapeños only, but the server never mentioned it before hand. The meat in the Texas Fajitas was too dry. The service was awful. We had to get another server to ask our server to come to our table over and over, for refills and other items. Poor customer service. Never once did he inquire how our food was or if we needed refills. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! Linda from Georgia

Went here with my mom randomly when we were house hunting. I love Mexican food and wanted to try it out since I was moving to the area. They had a fajita buffet that we both got and honestly there wasn't much to it but we enjoyed ourselves and the price was right. Personally I enjoyed the pico de gallo, guacamole and such with the warm chips more than the protein options. The margaritas were affordable and tasty too, not all sour mix. I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning myself too.

The food was real good at a good price not the far from where we were staying I got the California burrito it was excellent wife got toca salad with chicken and the chicken was cooked to perfection highly would recommend them to any one

Nice portions. 4 fish tacos per order. Rice & beans were decent. Nice sized guacamole & salsa on the side. Shrimp quesadilla was really tasty! Would definitely go back.

The food is good and I will go back on my next trip to Myrtle Beach. I had a chicken quesadilla and the tostaguac from the a-la-carte menu, both were very tasty. Service was prompt and courteous during our lunch. I also recommend the Margaritas, the standard ones are 4.50 and are a good deal.

The best in town!! I live in Myrtle beach...I have been to many Mexican resturants but this is where I always go back to..this is the number one!!! I love everything..food,friendly faces and the service is fast!! I love this place.. Thanks Teri Kiyotee!!

The service was prompt, but the food was just OK. You pretty much are required to keep to the meal combinations and not customize your order --- unless you order a-la-carte. Good news - serves Coke products

We are frequent visitors to this Mexican restaurant. It has changed management a time or two through the years, but I think the current people have the right idea. It's not a tourist trap Mexican restaurant. So for your specific needs, that could be a good thing or a bad thing. If you want touristy Mexican food with atmosphere and lots of crazy fun, go to Broadway at the beach and check out señor frogs or Carlos n Charlie's. This "authentic" Mexican restaurant is like any other Mexican restaurant you will find. Pretty consistent in the standards and foods offered. I do believe Mexico Lindo adds a few more items unique to them, but for the most part, it's the same as most others. The food is just as good as I would get from other similar restaurants. The service has always been great for us. Our favorite time to go is when they have the buffet. They don't offer it every day, so it feels more special. I also feel the food is better when it's not offered every day! They have the typical salad fixings, fajitas, flautas, chimichangas, wings, rice and beans. This location also has some mixed veggies cooked fajita style plus some "huevos a la mexicana" (scrambled "Mexican style" eggs with some chopped jalapeño and tomatoes). These options served me tremendously when I still ate vegetarian! Can't forget the flan (hubby's fave) and a couple pieces of sopapilla (my fave) at the end!

Chips and salsa starting out was great. Service was excellent. You received alot of food for the price. Food was delicious. We vowed as a family to eat at no chain restaurants on this vacation. Im glad my wife chose this Mexican restaurant. Soccer on TV and Mexican music playing while you eat.

I don't know what kind of meat they serve in their combination menu but for sure it's not beef. It's very dry and overseasoned . There were four of us and we ordered four different items all of them were equally awful.

I will never eat here. The service staff sucks. I walked and was never greeted. Keep in mind they were not busy and had 2 service workers in front. Terrible service I pass

Great service, delicious Margaritas. The salsa was a little bland and the chips were warm but didn't seem freshly made. The cheese dip was very runny which seemed like more of a sauce than a queso dip. The rice was very average, but I loved how the chimichangas were served with an adequate amount of sour cream and guacamole. The carne asada came with a large slice of steak, but it was very thin and didn't fill my date up. Overall would return for the margaritas!

    (3)
  • Bridgette B.

Decent food-not good and not bad...just nothing to brag about! Enjoyed some Mexican food at a reasonable price! Waiter kind of on the slow side tonight. All in all we would come back!

Lived in MB for 12 years and now we spend 2 weekends a month on the coast. This is the best Mexican restaurant in my opinion. Great service, great food, salsa is average, but it is still a super place for beer and enchiladas verde.

I have lived near this restaurant for many years and I am embarrassed to say, for a good number of years, I avoided it thinking it was either just another mexican restaurant or a tourist trap, but I can tell you it is neither. After going there for the first time this year, it is now a normal part of my limited restaurant rotation. First of all, it is not touristy and usually I am able to get a table right away, secondly the staff is very friendly and lastly the food is delicious and none of it seems prepared ahead of time. I love their burritos. When they say steak, they mean steak and not ground up meat. The same for their chicken it is very good. This is probably the best mexican food in Myrtle Beach.

Was told to go here for good Mexican food but I won't go back. I got the roast pork, dry and tasteless. It was served with canned beans and rice that was also dry and occupanied with a salad and a lemon wedge, more dryness. Too bad my server could keep my drink full so I could choke it all down. No thanks

This place is very popular with the locals, so when our friends wanted to go we reluctantly went along because I'm not that fond of Tex Mex style food. As it turns out, this place is a step above most of the gringo Mexican places around town and I really enjoyed it. Started with a mango margarita that was good mix of sweet and sour with plenty of tequila, thank goodness I was passenger on this trip because a couple of these were very relaxing. The chips were warm and crispy but the table salsa was pretty bland. We ordered cheese dip and it was good, pretty standard style. I went with the tacos al pastor, a surprising find in a Tex Mex place. I usually only see them in smaller taqueria type places. The pork was tender, a bit spicy with the sweetness of being cooked in pineapple juice. They came on two toasted corn tortillas and were topped with pico de gallo instead of onions and cilantro like street style versions. A very good version all in all. My friends ordered a variety of typical items like burritos, chimichangas and fajitas. Everyone in the party seemed to enjoy their food, I noticed most of their plates were clean. They have a weekday lunch buffet that some in the group spoke very highly about, so might have to give that a shot next time.

Ate here at lunch today. Cute place! Ordered from a lunch menu, which is nice because we are at the beach and sometimes restaurants don't offer it. Food came out hot and quickly and was good. Very nice waiter also. Will eat there again.

    (4)
  • Matthew T.

Got the fajitas and my wife had the enchiladas. It's pretty good. Not as oily and cheesy as some Mexican restaurants, a little healthier. The salsa wasn't real great, but I liked the chips b/c they seemed baked over fried. I May come again.

  • Jay C.

We ate here one night on Labor Day weekend. The food was pretty good. But let me just tell you about the men's bathrooms. I walked in and there was a toilet and a urinal. But to my surprise there was no lock of any kind on the door. So it wouldn't have been a very fun experience to be using the restroom and someone to come walking in on you. But even if I wanted to use the toilet. It was clogged up. But at least they had motion sensing towel dispensers. Oh and by the way never order a side of sour cream. Unless you want to spend two dollars. then the cashier a.k.a. owner didn't seem to care about our concerns.

This was the first spot we ventured in. Service was great and friendly (Pabloo!!). They recommended fish tacos to us (6/7 of us got fish tacos). I was the odd person out. On our first visit, I got their veracruz special with swordfish and shrimp. On our second visit, I got their fajitas. Food is great for the price. But seriously, the margarona is NOT to be missed. One of my friends ended up going there solo in the middle of the day just to get fish tacos and margarona, again. Addictive!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
