All I can say about this place is the food is less than mediocre and it's there for the staff to hangout, not work. Not worth more of a review

We walked down here from our hotel for dinner on a Sunday night. We arrived at 7:00 PM and waited 1/2 an hour to be seated on the back patio. Our waitress promptly took our order and brought chips and salsa. My boyfriend ordered a Dos Equis Lager ($5.50) and I ordered a Margarita on the rocks, no flavor added. It was $5.50. I was hoping it would be served nicer than in a little plastic cup and the cup was mostly filled with ice. Next time, I'll skip getting the margarita. We waited 45 minutes for our food. I ordered a Pork Carnitas Burrito and my boyfriend ordered Adobo Chicken burrito. The portions were huge and we took our leftovers. My boyfriend's Chicken burrito was a lot better than my Pork Burrito. I did not enjoy mine because of the amount of Mole sauce that was on it. It tasted like Cocoa Powdered icing that should be on a brownie, and I found several large pieces of bone in my pork, about an inch big (I guess at least you know it's real!) All in all, I'd come back but definitely order something else. Expect to spend at least two hours, to wait for a table and to eat. They close their kitchen around 9:30-10.

Okay - I'm split on this one. The venue itself, is AWESOME. We sat on the patio, beautiful view, great band....simply great. Food: We were so excited because the free chips and salsa served before our meal were the best we've ever had. What came afterwards was just truly awful. We LOVE mexican food!!! This is hands down the worst we've ever had, EVER. Out of five people at our table, not a single person ate more than 20% of their meal before giving up out of disgust. Chimichangas are a simple, mexican restaurant staple; however, I received mine drowning in some kind of disgusting cheese sauce....only could get a bite or two down before giving up. $120 bill and all we ate were the free chips/salsa. So I would give this only one star, but because of the patio, the band, and the chips....I gave two stars. I would definitely go back, but only for drinks and chips to hang out on the patio.

The food was above average but very expensive. You can get the same quality dishes elsewhere for a lot cheaper. The bartenders were very nice, but thats not enough to make me go back considering the prices.

Outdoor patio and music- five stars! Service, 1/2 stars. Sangria pretty poor. Food potions small all the way around but tasted good. Go for the music and view...not necessarily the food and drink.

Excellent Mexican food with a fabulous location and stellar service. Taco salads are fantastic, as are the burritos. We also had live music one lunch. Eat here!

A great place to go servers may not be as friendly as people want them to be but the food is great. I recommend the firecracker shrimp which has an amazing spicy sauce to it. If you want real Mexican this may not be the best place to go but they do have really good chips and salsa.

Best meal we ate while in MB, hands down! First off, the salsa they serve with chips is some of the best I've ever had. It really had a kick to it, too. Our server was awesome. She brought us our side of guac to find another server had already dropped one off. So she gave us hers and didn't charge us extra. Guac is very good and made fresh there, too. I got the vegurito burrito and loved it. Burrito was big and was filled with grilled fresh veggies and rice. They serve it with a side of beans and a side of rice, both big portions. My wife got two back bean tacos and some fried plantains. Tacos were big! And she said the plantains were very tasty, too. I was too stuffed to try one. The prices were good, too, especially for being right on the beach with an ocean view. We def will go back!

Just tremendous. We went twice during our 4 night MB stay. I had the fish as well as shrimp tacos and they were just perfect. Our daughter just gobbled up those friend plaintains. The view and the ambience is great. Highly recommend.

We went to Banditos to try it out after some friends recommended it. We were greeted by the hostess with the statement 'We don't have any menus. I'll have to try and find one.' We were seated indoors and it was absolutely freezing. Still no menus. We asked to sit outside and we given a table outside. Still no menu. After about five minutes we were finally given one menu with the comment that we could just share it. We were given nachos and salsa but had yet to be asked for our drink order. After nearly 10 minutes, we simply gave up and left to go to another Mexican restaurant. We will not be back

Decided to check this place out when we were here in Dec. just ok - food not great and over salted along with being overpriced. They were out of the tortilla soup we ordered and didn't have any other soups. Also didn't see any specialty dishes just pretty standard fare which would be ok if not overpriced. Seating was somewhat uncomfortable as we'll I guess that's so you don't stay long. This would be ok in the summer to come sit outside by the ocean with a margarita but that's about it.

We've had worse Mexican food, but we've also had way, way better. The tequila selection and ocean view bumped this joint up to 3 stars, otherwise, the seemingly fresh ingredients and "spiced" tortilla chips drag this place down in comparison to other Mexican restaurants. Never did try the guacamole, $10.00 for an appetizer portion seemed a bit steep, drink prices on the other hand were reasonable.

Our church ladies go out for lunch once a month and one of our members suggested Banditos. Not everyone likes the Mexican food or spices, so their menu also has American burgers. They had a table set up for 14 of us right by the bar. We all had enough room and our waitress Alycia was very good. She was one of the best I'd say. Everyone ordered and all food was brought out at the same time.We all had our drinks before the food came and the food came all at once. I was very impressed by Alycia because she knew what every one of us was having, without asking, as she placed our food in front of us. I opted for a chicken taco salad. It was huge. They serve it with Ranch dressing, which I don't care for, so I asked for sour cream. I had plenty of shredded chicken and a few chunks of chicken along with black beans, tomatoes, shredded cheddar (I also asked for extra cheese) and crispy lettuce. My taco bowl was nice and crispy. This salad was too big to finish and I had to take half of it home. I would suggest this as a place to have lunch. There is a patio outside that you can sit out at, should you choose to do so. For my beverage I had an unsweetened iced tea and Alycia made sure it was always full. Everyone had something different to drink, and everyone's glasses were continuously refilled, without being asked. Thumbs up to Banditos and yes, I will be back!

The place looks upscale with good outdoor seating and views. The food was decent. The service was extremely poor. We had 2 small kids and it took several min for someone to come to our table to take our orders. The margaritas were not well done. The hostess kept chatting with other hosts and took really long each time when we needed something including taking our payment. It seemed like they did not care about quality of service. The restaurant was empty at 9 pm on a Saturday.

Just finished eating lunch on Banditos second day of business. Overall, I thought the place was nice, but a tad bit pricey for lunch - $13 for a chicken chimichanga, rice and beans. The food tasted fresh. We were not able to sit outside because of rain, but the outdoor patio was very nice and right on the ocean. The adjacent table ordered margaritas which looked very tasty and large. The place is worth a try but they should consider a lunch menu and include complimentary chips and salsa.

Locals... went here with guests from out of town. Big mistake. Had heard the food was ok, but the service was deplorable. Still wanted to try it ourselves. Long wait, it was April so not to busy at the beach, drink order totally screwed up. Another 15 mins to get drinks right. Noticed servers and bartender clowning around apposed to taking care of their diners. Food order again all wrong, at this point we all decided we just wanted our check. Knowing we weren't happy, the server sent over "manager" who made excuses of being short staffed and changing some items on menu. We paid our overpriced check and bid this place "adios" . For good.

Great dinner, great view, great prices for large portions of good food. This is a really nice atmosphere for front beach Myrtle Beach.

Saw this place a few nights ago when we were taking a walk and decided to try it for dinner. When we arrived was asked to be seated outside. It was raining so there just a small section that was covered. As the hostess seats us at a table that had just been cleared, another hostess walked up with a party of 4 and states she had been wating for "several minutes" for that table so we get booted inside and lose our view of the ocean. We should have left, because it only got worse from here. We sit inside for a while with servers walking past us, untill finally a server stops at our table and asks us if we had been waited on. We told her no and she takes our drink orders and returns telling us she will be our server because the one we were suspose to have never showed up for work. My wife got a salad with marinated scallops and a side of habanero mango dressing with 8 small scallops that cost $12. I got a Bandito Cuban which was a Mexican take on the traditional cuban sandwich. Again $12 for basically a pulled pork sandwich with Mexican seasoning and a side of fries. The food was ok albiet pricey. We ended up paying about $15 more than a traditional Mexican restuarant. Two tacos with rice and beans just because they have some "upscale" filling should not cost $13! If you want to pay for live entertainment and for the bar to have over 100 tequilas and fancy tacos, thats fine. I just prefer the more traditional Mexican meal that is good and filling and priced right. Even though they have been open for about 3 weeks now, they still don't have their act together, plus me and my wife getting booted from our ocean front table just left a sour taste in my mouth during the meal. My wife and I won't be back.

My coworkers and I travel quite a bit with work. I am from California, but was at an event last week in Myrtle Beach. We were looking for a breakfast place, when we came across Banditos. I might mention that one of my coworkers and I claim to be Mexican professionals :) The food here was amazing. By far the best guacamole either of us have had. All around the food/service/drinks were excellent! Finally a place that carries Don Julio 1942! It will do great if the thought of expansion ever comes to mind :) As it was my first trip to Myrtle, it was as expected when it came to the town in general, but I will be back just for a second helping of Banditos!

Heard about this place from the condo office staff so we decided torts it. We enjoyed the food, had great service and sitting on the deck the view of the ocean may be the best in MB

We are local and went to try this new place out on Ocean Boulevard with a place to sit outside for the sunset. It took an hour before we got our food, the servers didn't know who was getting what when the brought the food to tables. The food was very poorly made and had no taste whatsoever. Service was very disorganized as others around us were not served either, another table near us seem to have been completely forgotten about. For a new place that will need locals to come in to keep them afloat during the winter they did a horrible job., We will not be going back and I feel bad for the tourists that will stumble into this place.

My friends and I had lunch at Bandito's on the 5th day of business. We opted for a table on the patio which was a great spot overlooking the ocean and the live reggae band. We were starving, so a bit impatient and quickly realized that the service would not be the swiftest as they work through the pains of being freshly opened. That is the only complaint I have because other than that, it was AWESOME! Between the 4 of us, we had a great variety of food and drinks. We started with some fresh guacamole and 2 types of salsa with chips - perfect! The El Matador margarita was a perfect choice to wash it down. Next came my lunch choice of pulled pork tamales with red rice and black beans which was AMAZING! For that I needed a Pink Cadillac margarita - another great choice. My friends raved about their meal choices as well. The food is so fresh and flavorful. All in all, I highly recommend Bandito's! We had the best time! Props to Paul and Chase for doing the best they could to make this an enjoyable experience for us! We will be back and I can't wait! Please note: Do not go here expecting free chips and salsa and a cheap mexican meal. This is a beautiful, new construction upscale mexican restaurant right on the ocean (with live music). What more could you ask for?!

went to banditos this afternoon for lunch with some friends from out of town.looked like a nice place right on the beach.first off we pull in driveway and some guy is siting there with a sign saying $ 5.00 to park.was going to leave and go somewhere else, when he told us if we are going in we did not have to pay.well 2 weeks ago it was $10.00 to park and it does not say anything on the sign to let customers know that they dont have to pay.i can see alot of people just driving by not willing to pay to park.anyway inside looked great and not real busy so we were seated and brought us are sweet teas and we ordered a nacho to split.this is by far the worst plate of nachos i have ever tried to eat,and i really did try. meat was extra for $2.95 and where in the hell was the cheese? the whole thing was black beans and a few nachos and something that looked like grass on top,it sucked and i was beside myself for bringing out of town guests. and one more thing no chips and salsa for the table unless you want to pay for them.should of went to chilis and had free chips and a decent plate of nachos. wont be back!

We had a great time here waiting for the rain to stop during the St. Patty's Day Festival this year. Luckily we walked in during happy hour and found that wells were $2 (SCORE!) and the special Irish Margaritas made with Jameson were $4 (DOUBLE SCORE)..so we sat our butts down fast. It was pretty empty at the beginning but an hour later there were no empty seats to be found. Our server was awesome and regularly checked up on us, our drinks and munchie cravings. I sadly can't remember his name. But we started off with screw drivers and worked our way up to the Irish margaritas which were delicious! Towards the end they were a little on the sweet side but I'm sure with the crowd they were rushing out drinks. We also got free tshirts from the whiskey company on special that day. The complimentary chips and salsa were just perfect to compliment our drinks. We ordered a couple of cups of white queso which was also yummy. We pretty much just stayed for drinks and small bites, it was worth it and the service was amazing. Keep it up Banditos.

I cannot condone a place where there is no craftsmanship in the food served, where the food is hardly a notch above fast food and the bill for 5 people came out to a staggering $80, only to levee us feeling greasy and bloated. "Banditos" is aptly named. Right on the boardwalk we walked in expecting Mexican cuisine. What we got instead was a repackaged pizza and "empanadas" that were akin to Pillsbury crusts. Any place that serves you unlimited chips with salsa (which had cumin!) Should be a tip off to what you're going to get. The "Mexican tortilla soup" had more in common with the Wendy's chili bowl then any tortilla soup. The best thing on the menu? Iceberg lettuce with a few slices of grilled chicken breast served on top, called a "salad". In a word, junk food at exorbitant prices. We will not be eating here again, thank you. The place was clean, the servers kind. If you want real Mexican food, healthy food, any sort of cuisine, I'd recommend skipping this place and keeping your wallet padded.

Great place! Good drinks, great food and lots of fun! The person that plays 4 to 7, Travis Proctor, is great! We have been to see him and just have a drink, beautiful patio. And did I say it is FUN!!!

We wanted to eat dinner down on the boardwalk, but wasn't really wanting seafood this time. We were thinking Mexican, when we happened upon Bandito's. What a great discovery!! We were pleased with our experience from the moment we walked through the door. Our server was great and did a wonderful job with the service. The food was delivered quickly and arrived fresh, hot and as ordered (with only a slight deviation on my wife's request concerning her tacos). It was no major problem, however. My wife ordered the soft tacos and they were delicious. My daughter's beef Chimichanga was huge and she said it was perfectly prepared. My seafood empanadas were delicious from the first bite. The crust was flaky and the filling sauce was creamy. There were whole shrimp and pieces of crab meat inside. It was also nicely complimented by the tropical salsa and a spicy chipotle crema! Absolutely delicious! I can't recommend Bandito's Restaurant and Cantina more highly if you are in Myrtle Beach and in the mood for Mexican cuisine.

The location of this restaurant is prime on the boardwalk with a fantastic oceanfront view. Excellent patio and fun decor inside. I was disappointed when the bartender refused my recently issued paper ID with a photo that CLEARLY is me (just got my license renewed before vacation because it was about to expire for my birthday- and the state I live in issues paper while they mail your actual card). The bartender let me know she was going to go double check with her manager if she could accept my ID - and the manager did not come out to speak with me which was disappointing. My party ordered the shrimp chile lime nachos, one fish tacos, one steak taco, and a shrimp and crab burrito. The nachos had mango, pineapple, shrimp that appeared to be coated in cornstarch then fried and tossed in a spicy mayo and loads and loads of miracle whip. All in all they were different but not bad tasting. Just not what you would expect when ordering nachos. The shrimp and crab burrito was loaded with cream, spinach, and yellow rice. Less crab and shrimp. The fish and steak tacos were completely inedible. I ordered my steak medium and took one bite and immediately had to spit out the steak - it was completely raw inside and tasted like dried oregano. The blackened tilapia taco was better than the steak, the fish was just terribly bland so I was unable to eat the food. The bartender could tell I didn't like the food so she told me she was going to show her manager she would be back (we were sitting on the patio bar so she had to go inside the restaurant). She came back shortly after and let me know she was removing the tacos from the bill. Even after that - the manager still never came out. I visited Banditos on a Monday afternoon when there were only about 4 tables combined inside and out of the restaurant - I'm not sure what the manager was busy doing but it clearly wasn't managing their restaurant. This place is extremely americanized Mexican food with subpar management that does not engage with their guests or staff. I felt bad for the bartender because she had to handle that situation by herself.

One word- disappointment. I was so super pumped that we found an outside bar that was on the beach- i mean really, what else could you want on vacation? So we walked down the boardwalk a ways, and on our way back we stopped here for a drink. There was dj, and maybe karaoke? We werent sure what the heck was going on with that, but again, beach bar with a dj, we're there. So we sit at the bar (there were tables around too), and this is where the fun began......... One word. ROACHES. ROACHES. ROACHES. and not on the ground, no, on the bar top.. where people are eating and drinking. BIG. BLACK. ROACHES. i cant even think about it without getting itchy. On top of that, the bar smelled like old, wet garbage. I used to bartend, so i know that some smell is inevitable, but seriously, take your trash out! The fact that the smell was that potent at an outside bar is disgusting.. i guess that explains the roaches. The only reason i gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because they had a pretty awesome drink menu with a lot of different recipes, which really sets them apart from other bars. They have a HUGE tequila selection, and their margarita menu is really different, and in a good way! You cant just go anywhere and get the drinks they offered, they were really different and creative, but they still serve your classic mixed drinks and beer.. unfortunately, the other things that set them apart from other bars arent positive things. A little tlc and some clean up and this bar could be awesome, but until then, a few creative drinks arent enough to get me back.

Banditos was our most favorite beach front bar and grill restaurants. The food (I had the Classic Tacos & my husband had the Seafood Burritto) was superb! The service was great! We especially enjoyed the Live music :))). Would definitely go back

Nice place. I had the Fish Taco and the Shrimp taco and both were great! The Cadillac Margaritas (supposedly made with Hornitos, Cointreau and Grand Marnier - if so, very little of each) were a disappointment - expensive, weak and watery. However, the ambience was very pleasant, food was quite good and our server was a great guy.

Had the Adobo chicken burrito with rice and black beans. The portions were big and and it was a filling meal. The chips and salsa were good, we also ordered some queso to dip the chips in which was good. We all liked the food here.

Nice atmosphere. Good beer selection and decent prices. Ordered the beef tacos. Was a little disappointed they were served in soft shells but they tasted good. Servers were nice but not enough of them to provide timely service.

Banditos is more Tex Mex than true Mexican. Our service was very good and we enjoyed the outside view with entertainment. I enjoyed the empanadas and my boyfriend loved the seafood burrito. My southern style margarita was so-so but his mojito was excellent!

Took the family here, very disappointed, ordered adobo chicken boritto, wife had steak fajitas. I ordered a beer and my wife had a margarita. Both were served in plastic cups and 12oz each. I'd rather had a bottle, wife said margarita was poor quality. My boritto had few ingredients, chicken and cheese, tasted ok, it was served with a boxed yello rice, I've never seen yello Spanish rice, wife's fajitas were over cooked, tough steak and limp veggies. The salsa was good with yellow corn chips. The inside of the restaurant was hot, might as well sat outside, also the air conditioning vent dripped water on our table and almost in my plate. They did have a nice patio and view of the ocean. Restaurant is located on the boardwalk and when you consider I had to pay $10 just to park and eat there, overall, very poor experience.

Probably the worst mexican food I have ever eaten.Enchiladas were dry and tasteless .The service was horrible ,food took forever to arrive .The only upside was the view and the drinks were decent. Unless you just want somewhere for drinks with a view stay away.Myrtle Beach a few great mexican spots this is not one of them.

Great location on the beach and just off the craziness of The Boardwalk! My family was looking for a bite to eat and stumbled across Banditos and were so happy we did. Great staff. Yummy food. Indoor/outdoor seating. What more could you ask for in a restaurant on the beach?

Decent food. The nachos were full of grease. The beer was nice and cold though. The guy playing guitar at night is pretty darn good.

Margarita La Flaca was an excellent margarita made with tequila, lime juice, and agave....not too sweet. One of my favorite parts of our entire meal. The salsa served with the house chips is also delicious...full of flavor and slightly spiced. Guacamole not worth the $10 price tag. Bland.. A little salt would have gone a long way. It could have used some spice from a jalapeño and a little more cilantro.
(3)
Mesha J.
The atmosphere is really good the service was great. They have someone coming around to take your picture. If you like your picture you can buy it. We tried the shrimp and steak fajita it was excellent. My sons ate the chicken and beef taco, you get a lot of food for the money. I drank the regular margarita hoping it would taste good, but you couldn't taste the alcohol in it.
(4)
Kim B.
Ate here on our first night in MB. Atmosphere is great with the water view seating both indoors and outside. They had live music Sunday night but you could not hear it well from inside. Cadillac margarita was delicious as was the salsa. My fajitas on the other hand were not that great. Steak was tough and chewy and the only flavor i could taste was garlic. With regards to seating, they really need one host station that serves inside and outside. Currently you have to choose where you want to sit and then add your name to a specific wait list. There is no " first available" available here. The service was great, I just wish my fajitas tasted better.
(3)
C S.
Service was good, fast and personable. The drinks were good and strong and the food came out so fast. The mango salsa was to die for, I had the shrimp and crab burrito and it was creamy, the crab tastes fresh, it was HUGE and you can actually see the ingredients. I couldn't even finish the burrito, my girlfriend had the seafood empanadas which were so fresh, hot and crispy. The filling was creamy and delicious. If I'm coming to myrtle beach again I will sure come to this spot again. I'll have dreams about the food. Although the only complaint I have is that you couldn't take bacon out of the popper dip which sounded heavenly but oh well you can't win them all.

Food wasn't great. Chips were stale. Live reggae music and location were nice. The bar was a little wild so maybe not the best place for families, but had a fun vibe to it. Service was excellent. Typical Ocean Boulevard restaurant - you either get good food, service, or location, but you never get all three.

No stars! Everything was horrible! Waitress was the worst I've ever experienced anywhere. It was not crowded at all. Took her 15 minutes to take our drink order. After asking several times. Ended up going & getting my own silverware & napkins. Walked right by the manager.... she pretended not to notice. Food was disgusting. Rice was some kinda prepackaged uncle Bens. Beef tacos were gross. Before you get waited on you get harassed by some chick wanting to give you a free gift (yeah right). She takes your picture. Brings it back in poor quality gives it to you. Then offers you a very nice picture in a frame for $20 second one for $15. Lmao!! Seriously!!! Worst place I've ever eaten in all of Myrtle Beach & I should know. I've lived here for 25 years. Don't waste your money folks.

I came here when I was on vacation, and I have to say this place is awesome. Great location right on the beach, with outside seating and live music. The salsa was probably the best I've ever had. And the food was pretty good. Price was ok. Definitely recommend

BIANCA S.
I'm giving this three stars because their burgers are delicious, but their beef taco is gross. Too spicy, even when i asked for no or very little spice. I could not eat it and neither could my husband who likes spicy. Drinks are ok, I love the atmosphere outdoors at night, they had karokee the night that we went and it was a lot of fun. I didn't care for the girl coming over to us at the bar and wanting to take our picture. Seriously, who couldn't ask someone to take your own picture with your own cell phone. She says they are free, which I knew it meant it's free for her to take it but if you want to buy it, i'ts $20. It's not like there was a beautiful background behind us, we were just sitting at a bar at night.

Queso was cold. Live music was awesome on patio. They offer a real margarita made without the run of the mill sour mix. Seriously wish I could find a bar that makes a real pina colada though.

Great food, cold beer, live entertainment and an awesome view of the beach. Also the close proximity to all the action gives you access to some great Mexican food and top notch service to say the least. Reasonably priced and the convenience makes a great lunch or dinner outing. Outdoor seating has umbrellas and ample shade, indoor is well done and very clean.
Bad service and extremely over priced. All commercial frozen food, no authentic mexican whatsoever.

I was really excited to find a Mexican restaurant on the beach, but I was disappointed. The food was pretty good, but I ordered a margarita with no salt and it came out with salt so the server took it back and brought me another one...that tasted like there was salt in it. So I'm sure it was just poured into another cup. The music outside and view were the best part of this restaurant.
(3)
Tricia G.
Good food and nice atmosphere on the deck overlooking the beach. The food was better than I expected. We had the spicy shrimp and fish tacos with yellow rice and black beans. It was yummy and hot. The sweet plaintains that we ordered as a side dish were cooked perfectly. I would recommend this spot for groups.

Chanin D.
I'm giving them 2 stars because I can't complain about my own meal, but my husband's chicken chimichanga had him hugging the toilet bowl within one hour of eating. I loved my meal, and when I asked him how his was, as he was just poking around it with his fork, he shook his head and said " bluh." We had waited forever for the food, so we were SO HUNGRY by the time we got it, and I think that's why he didn't want to complain. Our waitress was GREAT!! She was very friendly and apologized about her mistake of not sending the order through, and she DID have it discounted, but that doesn't make the chicken any better. My husband said the chicken was red......not raw, but like stained from some kind of sauce. Now I can't even say the word "Banditos" to him. I think it's safe to say we will NOT be returning :(

Fun environment, nice oceanfront view & live entertainment. Fried plantains were awesome but empenadas are not. If your an empenada fan, you will not enjoy these. But they have a big menu & I'd come again!

We had steak fajita nachos and steak fajita empanadas both tasted great and empanadas were fresh made with light and flaky crust. Nachos were easily big enough for two people.

We headed there Saturday around 5 pm to take advantage of happy hour drinks. We had margaritas on the rocks for 4 dollars and Dos Equis (sp? Lol) draft for 3 dollars. We had steak nachos and they were good. The chips and salsa we good also. No issues with the service everything for us was good and inexpensive.

My husband and I were visiting from Oregon and were staying 3 days in Myrtle Beach. We had passed by Banditos several times...heard the wonderful music coming from inside and noticed the nice view from the back patio area and decided this would be our place for our place. We were taken around back to see the seating there before deciding whether to sit inside or out and decided to take an outside table. We were left standing there waiting for a bit until what seemed to me an inebriated young attendant came to seat us. He seemed really high. Our table had a great view and the weather was perfect...warm but not hot with a nice calm warm breeze. They brought us chips and salsa. My husband liked the chips, but they were a little too thick for my taste. Salsa was good. We decided on Margaritas and Nachos. The drinks came fast, almost immediately, and they were very good. The Nachos came surprisingly fast too...like immediately after the drinks...about 5 minutes from ordering them! Then we realized why. They did not have the usual melted grated cheese, but instead had gloppy processed cheese GOO from a can! SERIOUSLY? Only because of the shredded lettuce and black beans were these nachos a half step up from a 7-11 or ball game nacho. Are you kidding me?!!!! Yuk! How can any self-respecting Mexican restaurant serve a nacho...A NACHO for crying out loud...with disgusting cheese goo?!!! Before we left, I walked through the inside of the building to use the restroom. Walking through, I notice wonderful spicy Mexican smells, saw large sizzling platters, noticed the quaint Mexican decor. Maybe we just picked the wrong entre, but seriously...how can you screw up a nacho like that? It was very disappointing.

Food was very good, service was excellent, and the ambiance on the outdoor dining patio was delightful. Altogether it was a fantastic experience for our large group. We've been here before and we'll be back again!

Zero if I could Can't speak to their food, but can speak of management's lack of knowledge on Ada rules Refused service inside because of service Animal Wanted to seat us outside in closed section in sixty degree weather. Learn the law.

Last week my husband and I arrived to Banditos on a Sunday evening after a long drive. Ready to be out of the car and be at the beach we chose outdoor seating. We've eaten here before also outdoors before a storm broke out and enjoyed our experience. Not this time however. It was still early in the evening and a karoke dj was supplying music, we sat as close to the beach as possible trying to have some distance from the stage. As my husband and I tried to start our vacation and relax the dj kept broadcasting homosexual views and acknowleging her groupies. My husband and I were on the far border of the outdoor seating when one couple decided to bump and grind directly in front of our table. They were the only 2 girls dancing! We just tried to concentrate on our oceanview, our food arrived and we just hoped the song would change and then the dj played the disgusting song, "Stinky Leg" so needless to say the atmosphere deteriorated to the point the ocean wasn't even worth this experience! My husband and I work very hard, we spend hours volunteering, this was a much needed vacation and what a HORRIBLE start! ! We promised each other not to ever eat here again, absolutely lost our appetite!! And we've shared our expereience with every other restaurant at Myrtle and friends back home. .Stay Away experiences like this ruin fun for everyone!!!

Terrible.. Ordered a mojito got a cup of simple syrup instead - super sweet no liquor nothing was muddled and they said "made fresh" what a joke. ordered the chicken empanadas tasted like frozen old chicken with no flavor. far from authentic Mexican more like a freezer left outside in the sun for 3 years , they let the food rot then pulled it out and fried it to serve you. My advice is your better off going to Taco Bell for Mexican than this crap.

Came here on a whim with a friend with a craving for mexican - my childhood spot in NMB is long gone (RIP Rosa Linda's) so with the oceanfront view, good yelp reviews, and mexican food we figured this would be worth a shot. Really great joint! Super amazing salsa (if we could have taken it home in a container without causing a scene we probably would have) and their dip trio Is just the right size for sharing. Our waiter was even kind enough to squeeze us into happy hour pricing for drinks even though we had just missed the cutoff. Ever the south, margaritas are served in mason jars! The only slightly off thing was that the crab and shrimp burrito - while really good - had a heavier cream-type sauce that my friend wasn't expecting. And best for the beach the price point was very reasonable for the location and quality. Would definitely return!

Had this guy named Paul for a waiter.... good service, better sense of humor. He made me wet my britches and had me in stitches. Paul was "a littttleee sawweeeeet." -love your chicago table

It was okay...took a minute to get seated by the host..who seated me with a great view of the emergency exit in the nearly empty restaurant....so much for the beach views. Then he told me I can myself move to another table that was further in the corner. He was not a great host. I picked up my stuff and my wet menu and a friendly employee escorted me to the bar. Bartender was friendly. I ordered the chicken chimichanga. The adobo chicken inside was room temp, there wasn't much salsa verde and I'm not a fan of the gloopy queso that was on top....I was hungry so I ate all of the chimichanga and the black beans! It wasn't the worse but it wasn't the best. The chips and salsa were absolutely delicious though! I personally think it was a little pricey for lunch and wish they had some lunch specials.

Nice location right on the beach. I had the chicken enchiladas...those were just okay. My wife got the shrimp and crab burrito. That was pretty awesome. Wish I got that too. Free chips and salsa at the table. House margaritas were a little weak but only $4, so it is what it is. Fried ice cream was pretty good. We had Josh for a waiter, who did a great job.

Outstanding Mexican food! The entire family found something they loved. Good Mexican food can be hard to find outside of Texas and California but Banditos had it. Service was outstanding and the location was convenient if you are already near the pier. We would go back again for sure.

Extremely disappointed. We went and they didn't seem to be that busy, it appeared as though a band was starting outside shortly so business would be picking up. We stopped here in hopes of having a good meal. We never got any chips or salsa at all. Our food finally came and I was not impressed at all. My husband had asked for queso with his, which he didn't receive either. We just asked for the bill and a box at that point. When we got the bill, it what just the amount we owed not a break down of charges to see if we had to pay for tej queso we didn't get. I won't waste my money there again.

First night out in South Carolina and we were craving some good food. We looked through yelp and found this spot. When we arrived to the place it was PACKED! They had a band playing a perfect view in front of the ocean, it seemed like the perfect place. Well we were wrong it was so packed that led to a SLOW service. 1.10 minutes before we got drinks 2.we got cold queso 3. Our food arrived COLD 35minutes later (yes I timed it) We almost left but there wasn't any other good choices. Cold food equals to no enjoyment, rice tasted like it came out of a box and the tacos had no flavor. It was a disappointment. The only good thing was the margarita and the band playing.

The food was tasty (especially the guacamole, salsa and chips), well flavored, and plentiful. My son had the two taco platter with rice and beans which he enjoyed, just entirely too much food for one person. My sister and I made a meal of one beef taco each and the guacamole, salsa and queso dip and chips which we enjoyed, and my father had the loaded nachos which was a portion that could have easily fed all four of us twice, he didn't enjoy his so much, but deemed it "okay". Our service was way beyond exceptional, our server Megan was fantastic and always nearby to keep us stocked with chips and drink refills, all with a very pleasant attitude and lovely smile, I hope her management sees this and commends her on her service. She really was right on top of everything, never even had to ask for a refill before she came to us to inquire if we needed anything more. Perfect! If it were a rating on service alone, it would be well above five stars. We had a lovely umbrella table right overlooking the beach and we were there about 5:00pm which was just about perfect for view and ambiance. There was music playing, new Enrique Iglesias which the younger crowd would enjoy, my father not as much and it was just a tad too loud for dinner conversation, thus the four stars. However overall, our experience was good, we had a great view and made another cool memory on our trip in myrtle beach. After dinner we stepped up on the overlook behind the restaurant for a lovely view of the ocean waves washing up to the shore and took a moment to appreciate our surroundings. It was a great evening. Thank you to the person who recommended parking across the street from the restaurant and paying the parking meter. It was a quick walk across the street and quite perfect actually.

I was expecting really good food, but after waiting for 45 minutes and got served 3 baskets of nachos just to find out their was a screw up with our order I was not happy! Plus it did not help that our waitress was also the bartender so she spent most of her time serving up drinks then trying to get our food sooner to us. When we got the food my fajitas were burnt and dried out ( steak & chicken) jerky had more flavor then what I had. I strongly recommend taco bell

This is being very generous. We didn't get to try the food but if you have kids (especially a stroller) don't even the bother. They were rude and rolled eyes from the minute we walked inside.

We came here tonight after reviewing all the yelp reviews of the restaurants located on the boardwalk. The location was beautiful but we were completely dissatisfied in our server (Rae?). She never brought us chips and salsa and we waited and waited looking for her as the tables next to us all immediately received theirs. We saw her sitting down on the deck and picking something off of her shoe. She did not wash her hands afterwards and it was gross. We went up and had to ask for our own chips and salsa from a different server. By the time we got them our meals were served. We also had to wait for our tortilla shells for minutes as our fajitas sat on the table. The restaurant was not crowded and we should have received better service. Definitely not satisfied.

Where do I start... We waited forever for a waitress...finally got one after we got up to look for one. It wasn't even the busy time....And when we did...no apologies for the wait. The food was Cold and the lettuce looked it was 2 days passed freshness. Food looked questionable. Waitress noticed we didn't eat our food. She took it upon herself to get a manager. To our surprise a manager didn't even come out, only took off a charge for the cold plate. It's a shame...great location for a restaurant. I don't blame the staff...I blame management. So to the manager I say this....if you can careless about your restaurant, customers, and staff...maybe YOU should quit! Your staff deserves great tips but they are all over the place running around because YOU can't manage your restaurant.

A nice place for good Mexican food , great ambiance and beach front bar and dining. The bandito egg roll appetizer is great with two dipping sauces, the shrimp tacos and the adobo chicken chimi were really good. I recommend this restaurant for a nice change of pace, parking is only issue as with all business in down town area.

Very cool view and fairly priced drinks. Fish tacos were VERY good. They came with rice and beans which weren't very good. They have free chips and Salsa--terrific homemade recipe. I wanted to try the guacamole too but I was disappointed by it. Overall above average fake Mexican place!

Saw this place in passing last night. I could hear good jams and lively crowd chatter coming from the rear of the building. Seemed promising. The back patio area was large and a nice set up. When our server approached us to get our drink and appetizer order, he explained that they were completely out of chips... seriously? ... you're a Mexican restaurant and you're out of chips?... not to mention literally all but maybe one appetizer required the accompaniment of chips. Anyway, we asked if they had any hard shells or flour tortillas that they could maybe substitute as we were craving queso dip. He looked at us like we were stupid and said no. "Sooo do you have anything on the menu? Burritos, enchiladas... since they're all obviously made with taco shells", we asked. "Yea everything but chips." ... Ok whatever we'll just skip the app confusion and get right to the meal and some drinks in the meantime. "Oh. So you ARE going to order food then?" Wow. Rude. When he got back 10 minutes later with our beer that was served in a plastic fish camp cup, he again brought up the chip ordeal saying "yea so uh sorry about the chips again but uh that's not on me." ..... Okaay? We didn't even say anything? A bit later after our food had arrived he came over to check on us and said "those people (motioning to the table behind us) just asked for chips to go and I was like ehhh no we don't have any". Cool story bro. STOP IT WITH THE CHIPS. Food was prompt and pretty good. Atmosphere, nice. Server, douche bag. He ruined it. The end.

The restaurant was beautiful inside and out. Wait staff was friendly and efficeint. SO MUCH TEQUILA. The only problem? It was just so expensive for what you got! I understand it's on the Boardwalk. I understand it's at the beach. But $18 for shrimp fajitas? Get out of here. If I lived here, I wouldn't go back. Would I go back on a vacation? Maybe.

Nice place but sitting inside we felt a little neglected as we went through a whole basket of chips before we got our drinks, while we watched another group walk into the bar and get drinks before we did. It takes a sharp manager to train a team to be attentive to good customer service. You could probably learn a thing or two from Chick-fil-A.

Let me start by saying that I never walk out of a restaurant and immediately write a review but I had to make an exception. With that said I'll break it down. Since I was eating alone and new to the area I decided to sit at the bar where my bartenders simple greeting was 'want to look at the drink menu?' And completely ignored when I asked to see the food menu too. 5 or 10 min later he finally asks if I want to eat. I order a chicken burrito and when it finally arrives the only thing giving it an ounce of flavor is the tomatio sauce and the sour cream. The black beans look like they came out of a can. The rest of the time my server barely acknowledge I was there. The second bartender was definitely better and was attentive. Just wished I got their names. It seems this place is a hit or miss. Next time I'll go to a different Mexican Restaurant.

Beautiful room nice cocktails... Didn't have time to try the food. I was there with my boyfriend tonight, the bartender was very friendly. We ordered a frozen margarita and a key lime (it was fresh and would be perfect if it had a little less sugar). The only thing that bothered me was the tv's, they are everywhere and ruining the beauty of the room!

Great place for happy hour. We spent 2 hours at the bar listening to live music, eating and drinking. The appetizers were very good and the house margaritas were good and cheap! All of the entrees going by smelled and looked great. We would definitely go back.

Very nice staff and on top of everything, its a beautiful place right on the beach but the parking situation is not good. You can only choose to park for the day and its 10 dollars. My chimichanga was pretty good my bf who is latino didnt like how they put cheese on his tacos he said they are not supposed to do that. My margarita was pretty good.

I was in Myrtle for a friends birthday on Saturday night and we made our way over to Banditos on Sunday for Cinco de Mayo. They were throwing a big bash and I was looking forward to trying them out. We anticipated a wait being that they had a big party going on but were willing to hang tight for a table. The hostess let us know it would be about 45 mins. We went outside to the amazing patio to wait. This is a huge renovation and a very cool setup for compared to what else is going on on the water. The view can't be beat being that it is a massive ocean front property. They had bands playing, an large outdoor bar, plenty of seating, a food tent, jager cart, and two beer trucks set up in the side lot with tables and chairs to make a beer garden sort of atmosphere. I immediately grabbed a taco from the tent to quiet my stomach down for the 45 minute wait. It was surprisingly delicious and made with extra fresh ingredients. Now it was time for a beer to relax and wait for our table. We went over to the bar and waited... and waited... and waited. You would think on their busiest day of the year they would bring in some extra staff. The bartender finally went to take my friends order (who was just ordering us all a round of beers) and it turned out, they were out of whatever Mexican beer my buddy was asking for. Instead of asking what else we would like (as any normal human being would) he moved on to the next customer and blew us off. Although we had already waited quite a while for service we opted to leave the outdoor bar area and head over to the beer garden to place out order. We walked over and nobody was there. We had our beers in two minutes. After we sat down, we realized why nobody was discovering the secret beer dispensary because the only thing telling you it was over there was a torn piece of cardboard hanging up that said "beer garden" and an arrow written in permanent marker. Nice job! It wasn't ideal weather for a beach party and by the time we finished our round, my buddy's girlfriend was freezing from the wind and wanted to head back inside for our table. It was almost time anyway. So we thought... I asked the hostess what the wait would be because it had already been 45 mins. She said she had no idea and that they were just waiting for tables to leave. Everyone eventually began getting anxious as the majority of our party had concert plans that evening to tend to. After an hour and a half, still no sign of a table with just the hope that "it should only be 15 or 20 more mins". By this time they were telling people that it would be 2 hours to get a table. We decided to bow out and head to El Cerro Grande down the street for out cinco fix. Which did the job. They have a great concept, and based on my taco, better quality Mexican food. Unfortunate, they were not prepared. That was even with the shitty weather, imagine if it was nice out. Step up your game Banditos and I might give you another chance.

Just went here for happy hour yesterday. Great food, drinks, and service. There was a back deck with live music and a man that came around making balloon hats for people. The queso dip with beef was delicious as well as the chicken chimichanga. We will definitely be going back here!

A tasty little spot with a fantastically expansive oceanfront patio, live music, good prices. Pineapple salsa is great -- had the fish taco (fried) and it was an excellent compliment to the dish. Margaritas are only so-so -- a little on the sweet side for me. Nothing mind blowing but definitely worth checking out for a fun meal with friends.

We were in the area during the low-tourist season and the place was still pretty busy. My husband and I took that as a good sign. Fortunately, we got a table within five minutes. Yay! First off, let me mention that although the decorating was cute and kitchy, it was FAR from comfortable. When you see the innovative seating made out of re-purposed farm barrels, you'll know what I'm talking about. And...after sitting in them for more than five minutes your butt and back will hate that you stopped in here! Sit at the bar or at one of the long tables reserved for a large party. If you have back issues you will thank me for this suggestion. Ok-onto the food, right?! My husband and I ordered the beer-battered shrimp cocktail to start off with. We wanted to have it made plain, without the beer-batter but they couldn't do that. Crazy, I know...The shrimp actually tasted pretty good. (I'm not sure if that was because we were STARVING from driving all day...) Well, our server forgot to bring us plates for the peeled shells and one set of dining utensils. Usually, this is not a big deal, but like I said we were SUPER hungry. We waited for a long time before we saw our waitress to flag her down and finally get to dig into that shrimp! Because we were so famished, it was impossible not to notice that all the other tables had chips and salsa to nosh on while waiting for their meals. Sadly, we had to flag down our waitress....(ugh!) again and ask what happened to ours. She told us that the chips and salsa are free for the first round but after that they are $3, unlimited. I thought it was weird. What was even weirder is the fact that we even had to ask for them. Anyhoo-- the salsa was pretty good and the chips were freshly made. If you like salty chips...you definitely won't be disappointed! Massive hunger pains, motivated me to ask the waitress if their house salad was large enough for a meal. I let her know that this was super-important to me. She rolled her eyes and tummy with enthusiasm while saying "YES!" Upon her reaction, I ordered the salad. Oy. I really wish that I didn't! It was WAY smaller than I had expected. I'm so glad I asked for chicken to go with it. If you have a big appetite, don't order the house salad as your meal--no matter what the server says! You will definitely have regret and surely eat more chips and salsa than you planned on. My husband had the fish tacos. He said his dish was really sub-par. It had nothing special about it. They lacked flavor and imagination. Would I go to Bandito's again if I had a chance? No. Unfortunately, it really FELT like a chain restaurant with no passion for customer service, quality sized portions or food with a bit of zing to it.

We happened on this restaurant walking back to our hotel with our dogs. The food and service were great. They were very welcoming and we were able to bring the dogs to the outside patio. They even offered a water bowl for them. The food was terrific, and the service was very good. We had the shrimp and crab burritos which were very good, and more than we could eat. We could easily have split it. We will go back!

Great atmosphere, right on the beach! Drinks were fairly priced and good. Parking is $10 but they reimburse you if you bring in the slip. Food was ok, I think it could have been better. They give you chips and salsa to start. Live music and being next to the ocean made up for it. I'll be back!

Beautiful outdoor seating overlooking the beach. Large selection of frozen beverages and 115 tequilas! I had the chicken burrito, and my son had the Mexican eggrolls. Both were delicious- the burritos are huge and covered in queso cheese (can't go wrong with that). The Asian sauce that comes with the eggrolls is very good. Service was quick and friendly. Will come again

Rode by this place on our scooters on our last day in MB and heard the live music playing. We decided we had to stop to check it out and ended up being pleasantly surprised! This restaurant has only been open for a little under a month. If they keep up the great service, food and drinks they will be a hit for sure! 1. Great ambiance. The band was incredible :) 2. The view was spectacular. 3. The food was phenom. 4. The drinks were great and very well priced. 5. There was plenty of outdoor seating with the exception of not a ton of shaded areas. [Tip: All tables should have retractable umbrellas. Who wants to eat under the scorching sun?!] Our server Lindsey, was fantastic. She took our order promptly and came out with our drinks pretty quickly. The food didn't take long at all either. If you are a fan of Spanish food this is your place :)

My boyfriend and I are constant visitors of a Mexican restaurant in Massachusetts and banditos puts them to shame! We were seated quickly outside. Our waiter was the sweetest and made sure we were taken care of. The chicken nachos were the best I've ever had. Not too hard and not too soft and you could honestly have that as a meal alone. I ordered a chicken quesadilla which was great. The rice was delicious. My boyfriend loved his steak fajita. The atmosphere was fun and relaxing for a Tuesday afternoon.

I thought the place was great. My husband and I dropped in on a balmy Tuesday night. As soon as we got in we were seated outside as requested. Immediately our server gave us Chips and Salsa. You won't find standard Mexican fare here, you will find a few Mexican staples with a lot of Mexican inspired dishes. I passed on the guacamole as it was $9.99. Ouch. However, as a vegetarian, there were pretty many sides where I was able to supplement my standard quesadilla. I had a roasted grilled corn cob with a tasty mayo and a side of plantains. Our service was excellent and we will be back. Yes, it is not the super cheap tons of food standard Mexican fare, however it was a very nice night out. We didn't get to experience the live music. Hopefully next time.

Best part was the service! Friendly hostesses, friendly servers. You got the impression that they were actually enjoying their job. Food wasn't exceptional but definitely not bad. Just a hair overpriced but that's to be expected in a vacation hotspot. Great decor inside, as well. Patio seating looked great but we ate inside due to the heat. Live musician with guitar was performing on the patio. The grounds and the lighting outside were beautiful. Overall just a great atmosphere.

This place is really good! They have a lot of options for vegetarians/ vegans. I got a vegetable quesidilla filled with mushrooms, black beans, rice and veggies. It had a really good sauce to it. Our waiter Otis was really nice too! He went above and beyond to make us happy. We certainly enjoyed our meal and will be going back there once we head down to Myrtle Beach again! Great place and their front entrance is really neat. The doors are really cool. Great atmosphere, great attitudes and great food!

Wanted to eat lunch with a view of the ocean and found this place after looking online for places to eat in the area. We sat outside but it was too windy so they easily moved us inside. The service was great and the food was good too. I tried their plantains as a side option to try something different and they were good. I overall enjoyed my meal and the waitress was super friendly and nice. Plan to stop by again next time in town.

To start I am originally from San Fran Bay Area, know great Mexican food, so this place had decent food, I had the chicken monterey burrito, comes with beans and rice, pico and lettuce. I added guacamole and sour cream. The chicken was actually very tasty beans and rice were typical. Wife had the fajitas and probably would have been good for 2 people which is probably why they were a bit more than what I am used to paying. They were 16 bucks. The chips and salsa were good, not great, but above the average. The staff were friendly, atmosphere is not the standard Mexican restaurant music, but the interior is very nicely decorated. Tip on parking, dont use the parking right outside restaurant, they have a parking meter you go to pay at and it was 10 bucks for the day, not based on time you there. Just across the street there are meters that let you pay with quarters or install app on phone to pay with credit card or paypal. I paid like 1.75 but we did have 30 minutes already on the meter. Much better than 10 bucks. All in all the price was fair an food decent. Much better price than Sun City Cafe that was 48 bucks for 2 people last year not including tip. I would go to Banditos over Sun City.

This visit started off ok at the bar but went downhill quickly once we ordered food!!! Both my friend and I ordered our meals with no beans. Both meals showed up with beans. When we sent to back they just put the food on new plates with residual beans still lurking. When we asked for a round of drinks for our trouble or my friends meals to be comp'd...which had been sent back 2xs now...we we're told smugly that we could have a discount and the manager walked off as we were still talking to him. I would NOT recommend this place to ANYONE from a management point alone!!! One star only bc I have to to post!!!

Food was really good but our server "Sissy" was awesome!!!! She was on top of things and actually acted like she really cared about us!!!!

Food was tasty, and the service was good. I think it's a little pricey for what it is, but view alone is perfect.

Stopped by here on our last night at Myrtle Beach. Ordered a bowl of guacamole for the table and loved it. Drink prices are reasonable and the tequila selection is amazing. 102 different types and growing. I ordered the pulled pork chimichanga and have to say it was the best Ive ever had. I'd give this place 6 out of 5 stars if I could. This is a new restaurant but I see them being around for a long time to come. If you're here on vacation I wouldn't pass this one up!

Try Banditos and there is a good chance you will be satisfied, and if they improve a little you might even be exceptionally pleased. I have enjoyed Tex-Mex from Galveston to Boston and have learned to accept that it can be absolutely wonderful or inedible depending on where and when you eat. Banditos proved both. I visited twice -- once in prime season and once off season. The prime season visit was lunch with the family and went quite well. There were no seating delays as other reviewers have complained and the food and service were both good though not exceptional. The best part by far were the plantains. They were to die for. Flash forward six months, in dead of winter, and I placed an order to go by telephone and found the staff very helpful. The food was promised in fifteen minutes and was waiting for me on the bar when I arrived in twelve. The fajita meet, while ample, was not sliced against the grain making it difficult to chew. Indeed it was not sliced into strips at all but was an assorted hodgepodge of shapes ill suited for a tortilla. Just the same, the fajitas were flavorful and get above passing marks. The downside were the plantains. They were to die for on the first visit and just plain dead on arrival on the second visit. They were not the moist, warm plantains with a light sugary coating that I remembered. Instead, they were dry to the core, chewy, and simply inedible. When I called the manager, he was apologetic and offered to make good on the order, stating that they had switched purveyors and would look into what went wrong. Candidly, I believe the issue was preparation and not sourcing. I declined the offer of a refund being satisfied with the manager's assurances that they will work to produce a better product. The setting is among the best in Myrtle Beach -- a relatively small building nestled in the dunes with a great view of the ocean. It feels right and even a bit above par for Myrtle Beach. Overall, three stars. Okay, but not great. I will try it a third time later in the year to see if there is improvement. If so, it could easily be four stars.

Deplorable service! We had a large party and we quickly placed our orders . 2 and half hours later after speaking to the manager we finally got our meals! Numerous tables around us got their food before we did. I would think a large table would take precedence over other smaller tables . I asked the Manager to come to our table to explain why we were ignored while other tables got their food and he did nothing but blame the servers and smirked. A poor excuse for management. The food was fine tasting, but the service was the worst I've ever had. Go elsewhere!I should have read the majority of the bad Yelp reviews before mine. Thankfully after the owner read this review he called and profusely apologized and sent us a gift card. We will go back next time hopefully for a better experience.

Ate here while on vacation. Lots of vegetarian options. Vegetable fajitas were very tasty, husband had fish tacos which were also very good. Service was good but seemed a bit rushed even though the restaurant wasn't busy. We will definitely return.

We had dinner at Bandito's last night and although we waited about 35 minutes for a table it was worth the wait. Banditos is situated right on the beach large glass windows that allow mostly unobstructed views of the shore. The drink menu is plentiful and the margaritas that we ordered were all very good. The entree choices on the menu are diverse and also plentiful. We started with a chorizo cheese dip and a seafood spinach dip. Both were well prepared and seasoned. For dinner, we ordered a seafood burrito which was very well cooked and seasoned. The same was true for our grilled steak tacos, and chicken stuffed tamale. The only feedback for Banditos is to stop over salting the chips that they serve. The real issue, I think, is that they are using kosher salt. Also, they are currently not featuring any desserts until they have given their staff enough time to get acclimated to the menu.

I would give this establishment a 4 stars, if our food came at a quicker pace (We ate dinner at 8:30 PM on a Saturday evening) Location - One of few restaurants on the beach, in the heart of MB & has a parking lot. Ambiance - Both indoors and outdoors are nice, outdoor patio deck has band playing! Food - I live and breathe to eat, and I loved every bite of what I had - Shrimp and Grits, Black Cherry Mojito. My beau loved his meal as well, Gaucho Platter Service - Took about 30-40 minutes for our group meal to arrive.

We went for dinner - even though it is January (not exactly in-season) there was a wait! We were seated within 15 minutes. The menu is full of interesting choices. Our server, Jason, was quick with drinks, and food came out piping hot. My grandson (18 months) dumped chips over his head - and they were very cool about cleaning it up - I really appreciated their sense of humor. The price was right - all in all - great evening!

Great venue for live music, under the stars, perfect view of the beach, etc. However, if you're looking for actual Mexican food, you're probably better off going to Chipotle. Also, I can only speak from 2 nights there, but the service was bad. Like really bad. Overall, fun place to drink cheap beer and listen to live music.

Great food, prices, and service! The blackened fish tacos were great and the house dressing on the salad is light and tasty. I would definitely recommend Banditos and I will be back:)

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

(2)Jamie R.
The food was above average but very expensive. You can get the same quality dishes elsewhere for a lot cheaper. The bartenders were very nice, but thats not enough to make me go back considering the prices.
(3)Lisa T.
Outdoor patio and music- five stars! Service, 1/2 stars. Sangria pretty poor. Food potions small all the way around but tasted good. Go for the music and view...not necessarily the food and drink.
(3)Eldridge C.
Excellent Mexican food with a fabulous location and stellar service. Taco salads are fantastic, as are the burritos. We also had live music one lunch. Eat here!
(4)Alex N.
A great place to go servers may not be as friendly as people want them to be but the food is great. I recommend the firecracker shrimp which has an amazing spicy sauce to it. If you want real Mexican this may not be the best place to go but they do have really good chips and salsa.
(4)Michael L.
(5)Prashant P.

(2)Jason S.

(5)Bob F.
Heard about this place from the condo office staff so we decided torts it. We enjoyed the food, had great service and sitting on the deck the view of the ocean may be the best in MB
(4)Tracy T.
(1)Sonja O.

(2)Mary S.
Great place! Good drinks, great food and lots of fun! The person that plays 4 to 7, Travis Proctor, is great! We have been to see him and just have a drink, beautiful patio. And did I say it is FUN!!!
(4)Randy K.
(5)Yasmine B.

(2)Ashlee M.
Banditos was our most favorite beach front bar and grill restaurants. The food (I had the Classic Tacos & my husband had the Seafood Burritto) was superb! The service was great! We especially enjoyed the Live music :))). Would definitely go back
(5)Susan P.
(4)Thomas B.
Had the Adobo chicken burrito with rice and black beans. The portions were big and and it was a filling meal. The chips and salsa were good, we also ordered some queso to dip the chips in which was good. We all liked the food here.
(4)Joe S.
Nice atmosphere. Good beer selection and decent prices. Ordered the beef tacos. Was a little disappointed they were served in soft shells but they tasted good. Servers were nice but not enough of them to provide timely service.
(3)Arielle T.
Banditos is more Tex Mex than true Mexican. Our service was very good and we enjoyed the outside view with entertainment. I enjoyed the empanadas and my boyfriend loved the seafood burrito. My southern style margarita was so-so but his mojito was excellent!
(4)D E.
Great atmosphere with a cool breeze on the ocean. Chill live music and excellent attentive customer service. The food was fresh and delish. Happy camper here!"
(5)Shanen P.
(2)scott c.
(1)Nikki M.
Great location on the beach and just off the craziness of The Boardwalk! My family was looking for a bite to eat and stumbled across Banditos and were so happy we did. Great staff. Yummy food. Indoor/outdoor seating. What more could you ask for in a restaurant on the beach?
(5)Jeremy H.

(3)Mesha J.
(4)Kim B.
(3)C S.
(4)Kayla J.
After sending back two meals we still got nasty dry food. Skip this place and go find a better restaurant.
(1)Natalie S.
This place was so fun while we were in town we stopped here when we were walking by we hear some good music we got in and there was karaoke. The DJ was so fun. The outside patio had a very big nice ocean view seating would def recommend
(5)Nick A.
Food wasn't great. Chips were stale. Live reggae music and location were nice. The bar was a little wild so maybe not the best place for families, but had a fun vibe to it. Service was excellent. Typical Ocean Boulevard restaurant - you either get good food, service, or location, but you never get all three.
(3)Carla C.
(1)Wilson Z.
I came here when I was on vacation, and I have to say this place is awesome. Great location right on the beach, with outside seating and live music. The salsa was probably the best I've ever had. And the food was pretty good. Price was ok. Definitely recommend
(4)BIANCA S.
(3)Marinna M.
Queso was cold. Live music was awesome on patio. They offer a real margarita made without the run of the mill sour mix. Seriously wish I could find a bar that makes a real pina colada though.
(3)Wade W.
(5)Becky D.
My fiancé, son, and I stopped in for lunch. We were quickly greeted and seated by the friendly hostess. The place was huge inside with great views of the ocean and Boardwalk. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Outside they had a full bar and an entertainment area. Our server was awesome! He was extremely knowledgable of the menu and attentive. We started off with their chips and homemade waste, both which were excellent. Our server also brought us hot salsa and sour cream. We ordered the guacamole and it was AMAZING. My sons food came quickly since we wanted it first. I ordered the chicken empanada with a side of black beans and rice. My food was absolutely delicious. It was flavorful and not overdone. My fiancé got the taco salad and he said it was great! I finished with the flan. It was decent, but it wasn't the best that I've had. They had an extensive menu for drinks. The menu had a little bit of everything. Overall, it was excellent and we would definitely go back!!!
(5)Chris L.
Bad service and extremely over priced. All commercial frozen food, no authentic mexican whatsoever.
(1)Katie D.
(3)Tricia G.
(4)Chanin D.
I think it's safe to say we will NOT be returning :(
(2)Audrey R.
Fun environment, nice oceanfront view & live entertainment. Fried plantains were awesome but empenadas are not. If your an empenada fan, you will not enjoy these. But they have a big menu & I'd come again!
(3)Donna B.
We had steak fajita nachos and steak fajita empanadas both tasted great and empanadas were fresh made with light and flaky crust. Nachos were easily big enough for two people.
(4)Scot E.
(4)Adam P.
Great food, very friendly staff and good nightly entertainment! Cinco De Mayo was packed but our food came out in a timely manner. My wife and I loved their chips and salsa. We plan on coming back!
(5)Donna E.
(1)Jason S.
Food was very good, service was excellent, and the ambiance on the outdoor dining patio was delightful. Altogether it was a fantastic experience for our large group. We've been here before and we'll be back again!
(4)Fifth J.

(1)Shannon D.
(4)Michael D.
Had this guy named Paul for a waiter.... good service, better sense of humor. He made me wet my britches and had me in stitches. Paul was "a littttleee sawweeeeet." -love your chicago table
(5)Chucktown G.
(3)Jeremy S.
(4)Marcus L.
Outstanding Mexican food! The entire family found something they loved. Good Mexican food can be hard to find outside of Texas and California but Banditos had it. Service was outstanding and the location was convenient if you are already near the pier. We would go back again for sure.
(5)Abz R.

(3)Stephanie C.
(4)Mike L.
(2)Jason K.
Not impressed. The place was empty and the service was still horrible. I think the staff were more interested in hooking up with each other. Won't be back.
(1)Thair N.
Nice place and good food! The waitress ignored us couple of time but the manager stepped up and help us. Great management! I recommend this place, it won't be disappointment.
(4)Brooke C.
This is being very generous. We didn't get to try the food but if you have kids (especially a stroller) don't even the bother. They were rude and rolled eyes from the minute we walked inside.
(1)Lindsey S.
(3)Sara O.
(1)Jeanne K.
The setting is amazing. Right on the ocean. The ambiance is nice, too. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. But, the food was average. I'd still go back, but just be careful what I order.
(3)Jason M.
Great atmosphere right on the beach. Great music Travis Porter's rock and roll music show was great. Drinks are not as good as good as you would think. Food was ok nothing out of this world but was fast and server Eden was great.
(3)Richard S.
If you are going here for a good Mexican meal DON'T !!! We sat outside which was very nice, the band playing was a nice touch being on the beach is ALWAYS nice. The food ..... not so nice, the drinks... average at best
(2)Jon Y.
Nice place good location right by the beach the bad thing is the service they where not even busy and the waiter didn't get to is until 5 mins later the waiter didn't even want to wait on us when we first arrived
(2)Dennis A.
(4)Justin G.
Very cool view and fairly priced drinks. Fish tacos were VERY good. They came with rice and beans which weren't very good. They have free chips and Salsa--terrific homemade recipe. I wanted to try the guacamole too but I was disappointed by it. Overall above average fake Mexican place!
(4)Eriks W.
The end.
(3)Brad R.
Great loc and view. Food was good also. Got fish tacos and sat outside. Kid friendly. Parking can be a challenge but is worth it.
(5)Brianna M.
Maybe.
(3)Ali P.
Fresh seafood burrito but mango sauce on top was icky. Took that OFFF . Service was good.
(3)David C.
(3)Karla F.
(2)Richard H.
fun place good food good drinks good service. the food was good, not great or I would have given it 5 stars. but we had a really fun time and i would definitely go back.
(4)Lou S.
(4)Ariana J.
Love this restaurant, great outdoor seating and bar with view of the ocean. Really good live music, good prices and quality good! Chicken burrito is very good, a lot of food. Dip trip is a great starter.
(5)Rami M.
Excellent food, view of the beach and music. Way to go. It feel like an upscale chain.
(5)Angie E.
JJ did a great job serving our party of seven! We were seated promptly which is always a surprise on the beach. The food and drinks were tasty. The queso dip was delicious. Enjoyed the atmosphere and decor.
(4)Jan S.
Great place for happy hour. We spent 2 hours at the bar listening to live music, eating and drinking. The appetizers were very good and the house margaritas were good and cheap! All of the entrees going by smelled and looked great. We would definitely go back.
(5)Candice K.

(2)Britt F.
Just went here for happy hour yesterday. Great food, drinks, and service. There was a back deck with live music and a man that came around making balloon hats for people. The queso dip with beef was delicious as well as the chicken chimichanga. We will definitely be going back here!
(5)Kelly M.
(4)Julia J.

We sat outside at the bar and ordered a pitcher of house margaritas. . They didn't have any tequila in it.. we sent it back and it was still awful. The chicken adobo enchiladas were ok.

Horrible Service!!! Horrible Food!!! Do not go here!!!! I had to give a star but it's not even worth 1!!!

Location was great, right on the board walk. The atmosphere was very nice, you can choose to dine inside or outside. The menu didn't have too much to choose from. Not so much of an authentic Mexican restaurant. Food was defiantly over priced.

The food was not that good. But the atmosphere was ok. I expected a lot more.
(3)Al W.
The food was really good and the live music was good as well. Try the plantains and the beef chimi. .

The service was.so incredible that it made.up for the bad food. Jeff was over of the best servers I have ever had. Interesting sweet, attentive, went above and beyond in every situation. Best location, fun drinks. Bad salads

The food was pretty good. The view of the ocean was great. Good atmosphere.

Food wasn't amazing but the prices were reasonable and it was good. Great view, and our server (who also tended the bar) was excellent. The atmosphere and cleanliness are top notch as well -- would go again.
