Your experience here will depend very much on when in the year you come. It gets very busy in peak season periods and you might have a wait, slower service, or ingredient shortages. It will be the same everywhere on those days - it's not specific to anywhere. That said, on a typical day the food and service are great and the atmosphere is outstanding. Their clam chowder is unique to ratz and is neither New England nor Manhattan though it is red-chowder. Seafood is what you want to eat here. If you're in the mood for beef or pig then there are better choices. Come to the inlet to eat fish. It's also not one of the deep-fry buffets. They have real cooks with real ingredients. Eat some seafood!

Another family favorite when we visit the area - enjoy the raw oysters and a cold beer on the patio while watching the inlet boats. (Get real horseradish on the side and enjoy!) Shrimp and grits are exceptional according to husband! Family and friends (locals) enjoy the atmosphere and we agree!

The setting is fun & lively, although the food is just your basic bar selections. I tried the fried oysters and the breading was falling off & tasteless. A great place for a beer & people watching.

Absolutely horrible service! We left before we even got drinks. We got seated by hostess and then waited a while before seeing a waitress come and take drink order from a couple who were seated after us and she didn't even acknowledge us. I flagged down the hostess and told her we had not been waited on so she finally sent someone over a few minutes later (not immediately). We gave her our drink and food order. We ordered water and tea so very simple drinks that should not take another 5-10 minutes yet we waited. At this point I was very irritated. They were Not that crowded and seemed to have plenty of staff available. I was ticked off with the initial service to stay and eat a meal there! I would not waste my time going here unless you just want to drink alcohol cause that seems like who they were catering to.

We went here after our dolphin tour at Crazy Sister Marina. I had the tuna philly sandwich which was great. My kids had pizza so they were happy and my hubby had a fried flounder, shrimp and oysters. The oysters I sampled were great. They atmosphere is unique and fun. Enjoy! Next time I want the fish tacos.

Josue J.
Absolutely delicious, my wife had the grilled crab cakes, which were phenomenal. I had the fish takes that were good, not great, and our friend had the shrimp, which came with hush puppies, that were also delicious. Great place.

Horrible ALL they so is fried food. Do not attempt anything else! Boiled shrimp was so overlooked the shells stuck and they were difficult and some impossible to peel, and for $18.99 a small bucket if oysters, you at least have the courtesy to wash them and not leave you'd guests with hands full of mud. And we are local! Won't be back except for a drink and music out back in the spring.

OK,, just that. Service was good, food just average. Sort of pricey for fish tacos. Nice view and you can walk around afterwards as the MI marsh walk is there.

Our family comes here every year while on vacation. This spot has one of the best views on the salt water creek marsh. The Marsh Walk (boardwalk) is directly in front of their restaurant. We always sit outside on their deck or brick yard. The service is super southern friendly and they know how to treat the kids. This visit I tried the seafood trio platter. You can get the flounder, shrimp, & oysters cooked any way that you'd like. I chose the flounder blackened, shrimp grilled, and the oysters fried. Delicious and a great price point. My wife had the creek ratz rueben and it was delish. My children had the chicken tenders & grilled cheese and that never disappoints. The oyster po' boy is one of the best on the Marsh. For appetizer we elected the fried okra and it's good. We also love the fried pickle chips. If you haven't tried Creek Ratz please do yourself a favor and try it. It's not a gourmet meal but it's low country food casual style in a fantastic atmosphere. We will be coming back here again.

Fantastic hushpuppies!!! Could eat the entire basket myself. I also liked the fish tacos. Very good and had a nice spice. I would definitely go back. Service staff was helpful and kind.

We've passed Creek Ratz many times on our visits to Murrells Inlet. We finally decided to give it a try. It's a very casual place with a fun atmosphere, cheerful and efficient service, and good food at a good price. And the pleasant surprise of live music on a Monday evening made for an enjoyable meal. I enjoyed the fish tacos. I asked for my fish blackened instead of fried. The request was accommodated with no trouble. My side was a red-skinned potato salad that was surprisingly good: big chunks of properly cooked potato, bacon, and not too much mayo. My son's burger was still juicy at med-well and my daughter's chicken fingers were meaty, crispy, and flavorful. The kid's and my wife loved the hush puppies, but I thought they were too "floury" and not "corn mealy" enough. None of us liked the fries. They were "boardwalk" style which is a bit too limp for my taste (either that or they were just soggy). I was also surprised that they had no draft beer. That seems odd for this type of place. I ordered a gin martini, straight up. This seemed to confuse the bartender as the drink was served at room temperature. I'm not sure how anyone can learn to tend bar and miss the bit about how to mix a proper martini. We come to Murrells Inlet often and I look forward to visiting Creek Ratz again.

I really like this place. Perfect for casual dining overlooking beautiful Murrells Inlet. Caution: During tourist season waits can be looong. Come early...

I was rather disappointed with this place. I went there for the view and it had a decent view but the food was so poor that I hope that you can find some better food else where with a equal view. We just ordered appetizers, 6 raw clams and the crab stuffed mushrooms. The clams were filthy and UN-eatable. The crab stuffed mushrooms were a slight improvement but they were deep fried so not exactly what I expected. The service was alright and the bottled beer selection was decent. With all the places around I will not be back.

Friendly service and good food. We had the fish tacos (Friday special) and crab cakes...both were delicious. Even the kids' fish nuggets were yummy! It's true the hush puppies are not "corn mealy" like what I grew up with. Think of it as a fried biscuit and put some butter on it, they're fine. It's a dive...but in the best possible way :)

Good food in the fried fish basket genre, and an excellent atmosphere for a sunny beach-day afternoon. Plenty of outside dining overlooking the creek. Great place to bring the kids. The 3 hushpuppies that came with the platter were a nice touch :-) I had shrimp, wife had fried oysters, both were good, potato salad was excellent, kids loved the pizza. On leaving, wife said if we were here at the Inlet tomorrow we would come again.

I absolutely loved Creek Ratz. The food was good the service was good the atmosphere and view were awesome the band was really good. Kid friendly. The place was packed on a wednesday night and it didnt feel crowded. If I were a local, I would be a regular.

After visting Creek Ratz previously, I decided to go again because of the good experience I had. The food was average, but the service was quick and efficient. Another positive is their great view of Murrells Inlet Marsh from the wonderful outdoor seating. The second time coming here was quite a disappointment from the first trip here considering the food was lacking the great taste I remember previously. I will consider coming here again to see if I can redeem the poor experience I had this time. Overall--Great Service.....Great View and Seating.......Average Food.

We were visiting nearby Myrtle Beach we wandered over to the inlet. We randomly picked this restaurant and couldn't have been more pleased. Great view, wonderful waitress and the shrimp and grits were wonderful. Hush puppies were the best ice ever had. Great experience was had by the whole family.

A group of 10 of us dined here and every meal had problems. Steamed oysters and shrimp were like chewing rubber and the 8 ounce sirloins were full of gristle. I will say the service was very friendly however

Bar Food - at tourist prices. This place has a cool vibe to it...so it is fine to share a beer and grab a sandwich, but don't expect to be wowed by the food. I was underwhelmed. Also - our waitress knew less about the menu than we did.

If you like casual seafood places, check out this place. Wife had grilled shrimp and grits, awesome. My grilled fish sandwich was very good. Nice view on the Marsh boardwalk.

Good drinks, good food, live entertainment, and great view. Portions are a bit small, but good for a meal if you're not super hungry. $1.50 PBR on Sunday night!

We first went to Creek Ratz about a year ago with some friends who live near by. We've been there for lunch and supper. You can eat inside or out side. One of my fav's is the shrimp Po-boy, really loaded with shrimp.Good coleslaw to. Their appitizers are great from crab cakes to deep fried pickles, that they do well. their served with a horesradish sauce that just makes it. One of our friends had the raw oysters that where really good. Their pizza's not bad either, The seafood is always good, you can get it grilled or fried. Not had a burger from their but they looked good. My wife had the grilled chicken, she thought it was good. The bar is always active and I know the beer is cold. Service has been great, we've had party's of 4 to 8 people. At night's there's a band playing, the music differs. All of our visits have been good ones.Give them a try...

This has become one of my very favorite places to go to. Food is excellent - very well priced, atmosphere is good. Casual dining - right on the Marsh Walk which is a must for people to visit when they are in the Myrtle Beach area for vacation. You can eat either inside or out, live music and lively atmosphere.

This restaurant is great for a decent meal at a reasonable price. Not high brow, and no draft beers, but better than most restaurants in the area. We had 11 people (4 kids) and still managed to eat under $200 total. I recommend the shrimp and grits, the combo seafood platter, and definitely the crab cakes.
(4)
Katie B.
Just an average meal. I was a little disappointed with the food. We started with apps and had wings smothered in a peppercorn ranch marinade that was very reminiscent of salad dressing. They were ok. The stuffed mushrooms were average as well. I ordered a Reuben for lunch. It was nothing to write home about. The kids got chicken fingers and pizza. My son loved his fried chicken fingers but for a place that advertises "the best pizza around" my daughter's pizza was way below average. Nothing short of something you could buy in the frozen grocers section at Piggly Wiggly. The fries were good but overall, we would skip the second trip.
(2)
Mike S.
My wife and I were looking for a quick local joint to grab a beer and maybe some wings. We decided to stop at Creek Ratz, in Murrells Inlet. Overall we had a great time - the place is not pretentious, the food is good, and the staff is friendly. Exactly what you'd expect at a no-frills bar. The band was great and they had a singer who sounded EXACTLY like Willie Nelson. A couple of tips - the wings are really good, as is the fried okra. We were going to try the calamari, but I don't think the waitress had ever tried it or was even familiar with what calamari was or how it should be cooked (!). That was the only minor red flag - everything else was great!
(4)
Stacy W.
More of a loud bar scene than a place to eat dinner, which was disappointing since the food was pretty good. We got there at 6:00 and we told it was a 35 minute wait for our party of 6. An hour and a half later we were seated, the band had started and we couldn't hear each other talk. Okay place if you don't mind a long wait and loud atmosphere.

We found this place while we were walking along the Marsh Walk. They had a lot of vegetarian appetizers, so we decided to stop and have some lunch. We ordered way too much food. We got: fried pickle chips, fried okra, fries, pimiento cheese dip with chips, and hush puppies. My husband also got a Greek salad. I wasn't sure what all my 4 year old son would eat, so we wanted to have a good variety. Everything was good, except the pickle chips were way too salty. The food was good and service was good, but after that meal, I didn't want to see any fried food for a longggg time.
(3)
Clay C.
My family and I really enjoyed this restaurant. It was exactly what we were looking for, reasonable prices, great location (ocean view), and NOT a buffet. We had the fish sandwich - blackened, clam chowder - (I've never had better), shrimp & grits which my mother said was delicious. No the food is not gormet, but we weren't looking for that. The staff was friendly helpful, and dare I mention... very attractive! Glad we chose Creek Ratz for dinner.

This place has the potential to be a really great restaurant. Atmosphere was great, which included live music. Service could be a lot better - greeters were "cold." Food should be alot better considering the scenery/atmosphere and price. My steak was dry and tasteless. I had to ask for steaksauce, which I never do. Crazy enough, they had none! My wife's crab legs were good, but nothing to write home about. Again, this place is "ok", but really has the potential to be great if they improve their food and service, which are foundational to any great restaurant.

Very friendly staff, good food, and clean. Live music, patio overlooking water, food choices for health buff and for those seeking comfort food. Fried pickles awesome! Something for everyone. "coldest drinks in town."

We were quickly seated by the hostess in the evening a bit after 9p. We sat for about 10 minutes before we were approached by our waitress to order drinks. Upon giving our drink and appetizer order we waited for about 20 minutes before a waitress asked if our waitress had come over to take our order...She then mentioned our waitress was 'new' with a great attitude (the kill me now attitude). We ordered dinner and received our app shortly after. Dinner took about 30 minutes to prepare a pizza, blackend fish sandwich, and fried shrimp and mahi combo. I had the mahi and shrimp combo. The mahi was as dry as an Arizona desert that has seen rain in a decade. The atmosphere was great, had a singer on the deck overlooking the water. The food was terrible along with the service. A Myrtle resident suggested this place, take my word, save your hard earned money. The icing on the cake is they serve Hunts ketchup instead of Heinz, who does that???
(1)
Lyn S.
Went here with a group of 8 golfers on Sunday night. We ate outside, which was nice (if still a bit chilly this time of year), but the service was very slow. The waitresses were friendly and attentive, but we waited a long time for our dinners. The crab cakes were very good once they arrived. Beer available by the bottle only -- nothing on tap.

I just visited this place for the first time a few days ago. We go to Myrtle Beach yearly and are always looking for a new favorite restaurant. We stopped in this place because they were the only ones open for lunch at 11:00am on Murells Inlet. I am so glad we tried this place out. It has a really nice outside patio area overlooking the inlet. It is beautiful. You can see all the boats docked at the nearby marina. Lots of beautiful houses surrounding the area to look at while you are eating the great food. I of course, tried the crab cakes. I love some crankcase. They were quite tasty. My husband and I had the same thing. They had lots of other great menu items. We will definitely try this place out again this October when we go back for another vacation.

One of my favorite places at the beach! You will get your moneys' worth here and that is a key for me. A must if you are in the Murrells Inlet area, tried them all and this is our favorite. Dead Dog is a close second.

Been there three times. Last two times were with out of state friends and I was embarrassed. Don't ask me why I came back. I must have forgotten. Service was ok and the food was way sub par.

I am surprised by the mediocre reviews this restaurant got. We really enjoyed it. My husband and I went there for lunch today, based on the advise of a local store cashier. We went there for good, seafood, and we expected that we would get something fried, so maybe that helped with our experience. We both had baskets, I had the trio and he had the oysters, and we shared the calamari appetizer. At first we had made a comment to ourselves about the price but once the food came and we saw the portions, we understood the price. They were great. The batter on all of the items was really light and you could taste the seafood. The server was really great; she was friendly and informative. Thanks Creek Ratz for the wonderful experience.

Can you say, OK, not great? This place could be awesome but... Food was ok but should be better for the money. They had live music and the group was OK too... Kinda matched the place... Nothing felt real. Still had a food time though.
(3)
Donnie S.
Nice place with outdoor seating near the water. They normally have live music playing when we have went. Most of the food is decent and prices are about average for this area. One of our favorite places to come when we visit. Only complaints are parking is hectic and be prepared for 1.5 hour wait if you get there around 6

Aweful food. Came here to dance with my mother and the line dancing and Carolina Shag dancing was nice, but, the shrimp was battered and fried by somebody who had no idea what they were doing. The other dishes where also very uninspiring, just cheap fried fare. The only thing that was somewhat good was my philly cheestake pizza. In the words of my brother "Philly cheesteak pizza from anywhere is amazing. Here it's just OK pizza which makes it the worst rendition of philly cheestake pizza I've ever had."

Leilani L.
Creek Ratz at Murrells Inlet The food was average. It's your basic burger or fish basket menu. There was live entertainment (solo guitar singer). He was exceptionally good making the lack of acknowledgment by a waitress slightly less annoying. When she finally came over to take our drink order and told her we were ready to order our dinner she seemed annoyed but acquiesced. So on and on we waited... Watching the waitresses (and there were more than enough)run around with minimal effort. We had ordered ice tea and requested sweet n low which she forgot until she brought our appetizer and I reminded her. Our burgers were good but by the time she brought them we were ready to leave watching people that came after our appetizer served their dinners. Perhaps if we'd sat outside things would have been different...

Had a really solid lunch here on Thursday. Nothing fancy, I dined outside since the weather was perfect. They've got a great view of Murrells Inlet. Everyone may laugh at what I'm so impressed by: the chicken tenders I had for lunch were amazing!! I'm a picky eater, plus I have food allergies which often limits my choices. On Thursday I just felt like chicken fingers! I'm so glad! I got 5 HUGE "tenders". Each looked to be half a breast. The seasoning was great and I had leftovers for Friday's lunch. Fries were good, service was fine. I'd like to give 4 stars but you can't do that based solely on chicken tenders and a view. Fish sandwich was said to be good as well as the fried okra, again the portion sizes were very generous. They serve Pepsi products, my favorite! I'd absolutely come again, sit outside and order the chicken tenders.

First time here and started off a bit rocky. Waited awhile for a table, got skipped and then finally sat. Kristen was amazing. She made what was looking to be a not so great experience and turned it around! I manage a restaurant in town and would be thrilled to have more servers like her working for me. I hope they appreciate her because she was fantastic and will ask for her every time we go back! Thank you Kristen!

Stopped in for a drink while vacationing in Myrtle for my Wife's 30th Bday. Bartender was super friendly. Drinks were reasonably priced and the live music was great. My Wife and I both really liked the outdoor patio area.

Pretty much what you're reading from everyone else. Just, okay across the board. Service has been hit and miss over the last couple times I've been there. Had the fish sandwich and fried pickles on my last visit. Again, meh. Okay but pricey. The view; however, is beautiful. Like the other 5 restaurants in this area one can't help but be impressed with the scenery the location affords. As a friend once put it, "you could eat an old shoe on the deck and enjoy yourself, with this kinda view!" Check out Murrells Inlet Marshwalk on-line for your other options. -Neil

Great bar atmosphere. Sitting outside with the sea breeze overlooking the marsh is really nice. Caesar salad with blackened shrimp was good. Blackened grouper sandwich portions were a bit smaller than usual. Kids grilled cheese was yummy according to my 4 year old son. Fish tacos are consistently good. Fried pickles paired with cold beer is the best!

Great food, great fun and reasonable prices. Many tourists in summer. Get there early when Sea Cruz is playing! Love that band!

location location location, out on the deck taking in the sound view, drinking a cold beer. This is the best part of Creek Ratz, while the service and company were good, the food was par at best. Per the other reviews, looks like i will have to try the yellowfin tuna philly next time I am in.

We have been here several times and always love it. The shrimp and grits are delicious ....my husband who is a die hard grits hater tasted mine and was won over. Never a long wait, good service. We're going again tonight on our last vacation day. I have to try the fish tacos !
(5)
Ashleigh D.
Its overall a great meal if you like fried food. Some things are waaaay overpriced like $8 for 5 small, frozen mozzarella sticks, but other things are a great value and super yummy like fried pickles. It's nice to eat outside on the water. Service is kinda slow, but it's a fun experience, so it isn't a big deal.

I came here with my mother while on vacation. I ordered Boneless garlic parmesan wings for an app and a bowl of chili for the entree. The wings were very good and looked and tasted fresh and the chili was just as good and that came with crackers and nacho chips. if I come back to Myrtle Beach I would come back here.

Went on a Sunday night. We sat outside and enjoyed the live music. Drinks were cheap! I had the pork chilli special which was really really good. I only had a cup but wished I'd ordered a bowl. We also ordered a half pound of chilled shrimp.....they came out hot and very over cooked. Hot was welcome since the temp had dropped but over cooked shrimp are horrible!

We usually visit here every time we're in town. We were looking forward to our one night out of seafood, but were sorely disappointed. It wasn't near as good as it was the previous times we'd been there (last time was in the fall of 2013). We ordered the Shrimp & Grits and the Trio. The grits were just as good as always, but that's where it ended. We were very disappointed by the portion size of the Trio, and the oysters and shrimp were really lacking in flavor. There were only 5 small-medium sized shrimp, 5 small oysters and a small filet. We will not be returning and hate that we spent so much money to be so disappointed.

Great view! Rude bartenders. Can't understand why they continue to have jobs year after year... Food is not even edible at times.... Really takes advantage of tourists because location, location, location. It is a shame not to serve better food when they are in heart of seafood capital of SC!!!

We were in Myrtle Beach for vacation, looking for some decent seafood. Deciding against the buffets we headed to the inlet. We stopped at this place because the prices seemed reasonable and there was a crowd. I ordered the steak and shrimp plate. The steak was ordered medium well because unless I know how a place cooks it's steaks I don't trust a medium rare. The steak and fries arrived luke warm. The steak, once cut, turned out to be extra rare. Essentially the outside was browned but nothing else. The waitress was very helpful fixing the situation. She quickly took it back to be heated up.

After a week of adventure all over South Carolina the group that I was traveling with decided to visit murrels inlet and dined at Creek Ratz. Overall the experience was great! The building itself doesn't look extremely fabulous, but its what's on the inside that counts, right? At the front door you're greeted by a wonderful staff who try to treat you right while also rushing around the restaurant. You have a choice of seating, indoor or outdoor on the inlet which is an outstanding view. The venue had a genuinely laid back vibe to it. Every day of the week they have some type of live music. Now onto the food! Overall my meal was decent. I had the Mahi-mahi which was very well seasoned and overflowing with flavor and spices the shrimp was cooked and breaded to perfection and the side of oysters I ordered were some of the freshest I've had all week. Now onto the cons, although the venue was packed full it seemed as if the waiting staff was forgetting about the outdoor seating. Everything but the appetizers arrived to the table very slowly. Aswell the group waited an hour for outdoor seating only to be told we had to wait another hour. The only other pet peeve I had was the fact that you can only order half a dozen oysters!!! Other than that the meal and atmosphere were genuine and overall a great experience!

I always love coming to Creek Ratz. The food is great and waitresses are always friendly. Good beer selection too. Great view of marshes around Murrells Inlet and their wonderful marsh walk. Huge outdoor seating area. Live music adds to the experience. Best time to visit is Friday, Saturday, Sunday if you like the outdoor science on the marsh walk.

The red skin potato salad with bacon was very good. Why haven't I heard of this before? Its a great combination. The potato salad is mayonnaise based, but the mayonnaise doesn't over power the dish. The flavor profile is quite simple, and yet very tasty. I hope I can find a similar dish in my hometown. The fried oysters were also very good. They were fried perfectly. The hushpuppies were excellent. They were buttery and soft and had tons of flavor. The coleslaw wasn't good, but luckily everything else was; so, I was still extremely pleased with my meal. We sat outdoors on the patio since the weather was nice. Although the breeze from the water was nice, there were several water bugs crawling around our table (and up the wall). We grabbed our food and ran inside. I hate bugs. But the food was sooo good that I'm torn as I write this review. The food was excellent! I hope the water bugs are only on the patio and not in the kitchen. At least that's what I'm telling myself because I would love to eat that meal again. But I don't know if I could bring myself to return. If there weren't any bugs; this place would have gotten another star.

Terrible. We chose Creek Ratz for our family night out. It was an awful choice. I never do reviews, but folks need to be warned. The staff acted like they had never seen a group of 10+. After waiting almost two hours we had to seat ourselves. Then the service and food was horrible. The total bill for all of this mess was over $1000. To say we were disappointed would be nice. Stay away.

This is a neat experience, Murrell's Inlet has outside live music at night, and is very intimate. This restaurant is one of 5 along a boardwalk/dock overlooking a marshy fishing boat filled inlet. It has the rustic fishing village vibe. You see young people dating and prancing, and older people enjoying being out together in the open air. I liked the food at this restaurant! I had the fried halibut and it was cooked to perfection with not to heavy of crust. The band was great, everyone was dancing in the moonlight. This was memorable!

Stopped for lunch today. Second time we've been there. First time we were there it was peak season and a little crazy. Food was slow coming to us and not warm and drinks took forever. Sooo we decided to give it another try. We went in and the hostess said sit wherever so we sat outside on the deck. The waitress walked by us for 25 minutes and never asked us if we would like a drink or give us menus. Finally we stood up and left. She was standing next to us talking to a table and never said anything to us as we left. Definately would NEVER go there again.

This place doesn't disappoint. The food is always great and the service is very good. The atmosphere is very family friendly. We enjoy eating on the outdoor patio and listening to the live music. We've eaten at several other restaurants nearby in Murrells Inlet and this one is the best bang for the buck. I enjoy the fish tacos and the Yellowfin tuna philly. The portions are perfect. There's a diverse menu if you have any picky eaters in your group. If you have to wait, you can check on your waiting status via text. Plus-you can enjoy some drinks at the bar to pass the time. Overall great place to eat!

I went the other night to Creek Ratz. I saw that there was a pretty big crowd and the wait inside was 45 minutes and to sit outside was an hour and a half. We put our name in and decided to do the marsh walk. It was very peaceful and relaxing! There were a few vendors outside and we were able to do some shopping in the meantime. Stevie Woodward was playing on the deck and she was fantastic. There are many restaurants in that area near the marsh that have different musical acts throughout the week playing. Food at Creek Ratz is American. I had ordered a bacon burger but unfortunately found it to be made with a ton of pepper. Although this was unpleasant, I know I'll be back here. I recommend Creek Ratz for a nice, relaxing meal.

This was the first stop in a weekend of walking, site seeing, and eating. Live music was a plus cause it about covered everything that was bad about this place. Had a shrimp Po' boy with slaw and wasn't impressed with any of it. It was basically fried shrimp on a hoagie roll, just as plain, bland, and tasteless as you could imagine. The slaw didn't rate much better. I guess I could have chosen something different, but really don't think it would be worth the stop.

Okay but with so many great places around I would pass. Menu okay beer nice and cold. The bands they have are lame and this bar lives in the shadow of Dead Dog next door.

This is a great place to go with your family! The atmosphere is lively and fun..We sat outside and they had a live band which was great. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and had no complaints. The waitress was nice and attentive. This is a place we would definitely recommend and we will be returning for sure!!

(4)Heather R.
The setting is fun & lively, although the food is just your basic bar selections. I tried the fried oysters and the breading was falling off & tasteless. A great place for a beer & people watching.
(3)Amanda H.

(5)Josue J.
Absolutely delicious, my wife had the grilled crab cakes, which were phenomenal. I had the fish takes that were good, not great, and our friend had the shrimp, which came with hush puppies, that were also delicious. Great place.
(5)Edi R.
(1)JP S.
OK,, just that. Service was good, food just average. Sort of pricey for fish tacos. Nice view and you can walk around afterwards as the MI marsh walk is there.
(3)Boss M.
(5)Kellyo O.

(3)Adam H.
I had the weakest vodka cran I have ever had!! Boo.
(1)Rhett T.
I really like this place. Perfect for casual dining overlooking beautiful Murrells Inlet. Caution: During tourist season waits can be looong. Come early...
(5)Jennifer M.
(1)Jenn A.
(5)S W.
(3)Justin P.
I absolutely loved Creek Ratz. The food was good the service was good the atmosphere and view were awesome the band was really good. Kid friendly. The place was packed on a wednesday night and it didnt feel crowded. If I were a local, I would be a regular.
(5)Jake A.
(3)Stacie S.
(5)Ted D.
A group of 10 of us dined here and every meal had problems. Steamed oysters and shrimp were like chewing rubber and the 8 ounce sirloins were full of gristle. I will say the service was very friendly however
(1)Dick T.
Not very good at all the fish tacos were not very good at all
(1)Da S.
Bar Food - at tourist prices. This place has a cool vibe to it...so it is fine to share a beer and grab a sandwich, but don't expect to be wowed by the food. I was underwhelmed. Also - our waitress knew less about the menu than we did.
(2)Ra M.
If you like casual seafood places, check out this place. Wife had grilled shrimp and grits, awesome. My grilled fish sandwich was very good. Nice view on the Marsh boardwalk.
(4)Hannah I.
Good drinks, good food, live entertainment, and great view. Portions are a bit small, but good for a meal if you're not super hungry. $1.50 PBR on Sunday night!
(4)Michael C.
(4)Ellen T.
(5)Linda C.
(4)Katie B.
(2)Mike S.
(4)Stacy W.
(3)Kelly K.
(3)Clay C.
(4)L T.
(1)Veronica M.
Very friendly staff, good food, and clean. Live music, patio overlooking water, food choices for health buff and for those seeking comfort food. Fried pickles awesome! Something for everyone. "coldest drinks in town."
(4)Frank K.
Food and service are average at best.
(3)Josh T.
(1)Lyn S.
(2)Jessica G.
(5)Scott H.
One of my favorite places at the beach! You will get your moneys' worth here and that is a key for me. A must if you are in the Murrells Inlet area, tried them all and this is our favorite. Dead Dog is a close second.
(5)Mike B.
Been there three times. Last two times were with out of state friends and I was embarrassed. Don't ask me why I came back. I must have forgotten. Service was ok and the food was way sub par.
(1)K T.
(4)kathleen c.
Creek Ratz has an excellent staff - the food is ok, the atmosphere is great.
(4)Owen P.
Can you say, OK, not great? This place could be awesome but... Food was ok but should be better for the money. They had live music and the group was OK too... Kinda matched the place... Nothing felt real. Still had a food time though.
(3)Donnie S.
Nice place with outdoor seating near the water. They normally have live music playing when we have went. Most of the food is decent and prices are about average for this area. One of our favorite places to come when we visit. Only complaints are parking is hectic and be prepared for 1.5 hour wait if you get there around 6
(4)Thomas R.
(2)Leilani L.
(2)Ann Marie D.
(3)Shelia M.
(5)Josh F.
Stopped in for a drink while vacationing in Myrtle for my Wife's 30th Bday. Bartender was super friendly. Drinks were reasonably priced and the live music was great. My Wife and I both really liked the outdoor patio area.
(4)Neil P.
-Neil
(3)Robert M.
(4)Debra G.
Great food, great fun and reasonable prices. Many tourists in summer. Get there early when Sea Cruz is playing! Love that band!
(5)michael w.
location location location, out on the deck taking in the sound view, drinking a cold beer. This is the best part of Creek Ratz, while the service and company were good, the food was par at best. Per the other reviews, looks like i will have to try the yellowfin tuna philly next time I am in.
(2)Carol B.
We have been here several times and always love it. The shrimp and grits are delicious ....my husband who is a die hard grits hater tasted mine and was won over. Never a long wait, good service. We're going again tonight on our last vacation day. I have to try the fish tacos !
(5)Ashleigh D.
(4)Alex P.
(5)Valerie S.
(3)Natalie C.
(2)Anne F.
Great view! Rude bartenders. Can't understand why they continue to have jobs year after year... Food is not even edible at times.... Really takes advantage of tourists because location, location, location. It is a shame not to serve better food when they are in heart of seafood capital of SC!!!
(1)Chris S.
(2)Tanner B.
(4)Rodger L.
(4)Bob W.
Our family loves going to Creek Ratz every year for lunch when we arrive for vacation. I get the yellow fin tuna philly which is awesome if you like tuna steak.
(5)Lemuria C.
(3)Justin G.
Stay away.
(1)catherine d.
(5)Dave B.
(1)Irene H.
(4)Amanda D.
(4)Dee B.
(1)Bill M.
Okay but with so many great places around I would pass. Menu okay beer nice and cold. The bands they have are lame and this bar lives in the shadow of Dead Dog next door.
(2)Dani B.
This is a great place to go with your family! The atmosphere is lively and fun..We sat outside and they had a live band which was great. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and had no complaints. The waitress was nice and attentive. This is a place we would definitely recommend and we will be returning for sure!!
