What a great little spot! My boyfriend and I were out shopping and looking for a place to grab a bite to eat, but not weigh us down. Verde was the perfect choice! The interior is soooo cute! Green is my favorite color and boy is there a lot of it here (hence, verde I guess). Very bright, fresh, and modern. We both ordered the Curried Beet salad with the Curried Vinaigrette dressing. He got in in a bowl, I ordered a wrap. Everything about this was kick ass, except that it was really salty, Maybe I just should have asked for light dressing (since I usually only use 1/4 of what most people prefer on their salad). Will definitely stop in here again next year on vacation!

Fresh and tasty. Loved both salads. Portions are huge for me, one salad could've fed us both. Soba salad and a Cobb salad plus 2 sodas $25. The peanut dressing on the soba salad was awesome. Ingredient bar looked fresh, they can make your salad in a bowl, or chopped or wrapped. Wouldn't hesitate to eat here again.

Fresh and friendly but the prices are too high for students and retail employees. They just raise their prices and portions are too large for one so they don't offer a smaller size salad so I have to split it with my coworker. They should offer a King Street discount, a student discount and a military discount.

As someone who doesn't always love salads, this place is great! The choices are always fresh and tasty and the ability to create your own salad leaves endless options. The prices can be a little high when building your own salad, but you just need to keep track of your ingredients. Their chicken caesar salad (I always get it as a wrap) is fantastic and has even made me enjoy kale. Service is always quick, professional, and the employees are always friendly.

I am obsessed with the Mesa Verde salad. I have tried a few others which were delicious, but always come back to the Mesa Verde. Verde is clean, well designed, and staffed with helpful and cheerful people. This is a great lunch spot or place to pick up dinner.

Fresh, delicious and amazing! What a wonderful solution to fast food! Fresh ingredients, clean restaurant and friendly staff. I would recommend that they keep the fruit covered or use a small fan to discourage the fruit flies. And perhaps keep the salad tongs (for tossing) at a higher level rather than hanging near the floor. Other than that, I love this place!

A great place! Sort of like a Chipotle but with salad. I got the Cesar salad with chicken. The dressing was sort of bland, but still good nonetheless. They had fresh ground pepper and salt. The bread they offered was fresh and delicious. The workers were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very clean, both the indoor tables and outdoor tables.

I made my way to Verde for lunch one day after a coworker (or 2 or 3) kept telling me how AMAZING their salads are. I'm not one to pass on a tasty bowl of deliciousness, so I hopped on the website and got to work. I ordered the Southern Harvest salad- apples, pears, chicken. The foundation of a delicious lunch. I added cucumbers (YUM) and goat cheese (to DIE for) and had the salad chopped. Before I go on, can we talk about the dressing? Whoever the genius was to make sweet tea into a heavenly vinaigrette should be given an award. I could drink it all day. Moving on. I will say the only drawback is that it's a bit of an adventure from my office to Verde- I wish I was downtown where they deliver. That being said, the drive is basically the only thing that will keep me from ordering a salad EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

This restaurant demonstrates that when there is an unfilled need in the market, a good business plan well - executed will be a success. The unfilled need is a place that efficiently serves a healthy lunch at a reasonable cost. Verde has executed the plan and, voila, they are a restaurant success story. The food is fresh and good for you (where else in Mt. Pleasant can you get kale for lunch?). The staff is friendly and they really seem passionate about their business and making sure you are satisfied with their product. I'd give it 5 stars except I really don't like crushed ice served in restaurants. I prefer cubed ice - weird, I know.

I went here today for lunch and it was fun :). I eat salads for lunch a few times a week- it's really one of my staple lunches since I don't eat meat (except the occasional seafood)- so I guess I'm somewhat of a salad snob. Basically, Verde is a build-your-own-salad bar where someone else makes your salad. I like salad bars, but salads always seem to taste better when someone else makes them. If you don't want to build your own salad, you can have one of their menu creations- which is what I decided to do. I had a salad called the Farmer's Market. It's arugula, mesclun, spinach, sprouts, cucumbers, avocado, broccoli, hearts of palm, and sunflower seeds. I substituted the dressing to get fat-free raspberry vinaigrette. The avocado gave it a nice creamy texture without having a creamy dressing, and it was freshly scooped out in the restaurant in front of me- I liked that. I also got my salad chopped, and it was chopped with something that looked like a double pizza cutter. Two different parties in line asked where they could find that salad chopper- it is pretty cool. The salads also come with bread or you can get them as a wrap. The crew at Verde seemed to really enjoy what they were doing; they had a lot of energy and did a great job with the toppings-to-greens ratio that some restaurant salads get wrong. I did add a bit more dressing when I got home. The salad prices are about standard for lunch, ranging from $8-10, although if you build your own salad and add a LOT of toppings, I could see where it could get pricey.

Verde come to Summerville!! This is a concept I really want to catch on in the low country. As much as I love the fresh made before you salads from my local Newks, the build your own is ideal, especially for anyone with dietary restrictions or who is a little picky and loves to have full control over what goes into their salad (like me!!). There's a few more beach months left so I will surely be back before summer is over.

Simply put, I love Verde. If you've never been before, it's the Chipotle of salads. You really can't go wrong. It's a bit pricey but the ingredients are top-notch and fresh. You can go in here with the best intentions but I must warn you, you might walk out having consumed 1,000+ calories. Bacon, avocado, hard-boiled egg, you can have it all...don't say I didn't warn ya. If you're on Coleman, hit it up!

If your in the mood for a healthy option for breakfast lunch or dinner look no further. They have a variety of creations to please any palate while offering the option to create your own. Whether you want it as a salad or wrap everything I have tried has been great. Also offer punch card for frequent attendees like myself.

Have never been disappointed! Doing a Whole30 cleanse this month and verde is one of the only places to eat out. Super pumped to have a break from cooking!! Great service, great atmosphere. Our server was hilarious and informative!! You can tell she enjoys working here. Will definitely be back!

While evolution made me an omnivore, I definitely spend much more of my time eating like a carnivore. Verde was a recommendation from someone I was visiting. I'm glad I took them up on it. Huge salads and enough protein to keep me happy. Long line when I arrived for lunch, but their process is worked out to perfection so I waited for no time at all. I will be back just so I can have more of the wonderful Sweet Tea Vinaigrette!

  • Pepper P.

I love Verde! Aside from the friendly staff, the food is fresh and delicious. I almost always order the Mesa Verde (no onion, extra cilantro) wrap because it is just sensational but I would eat anything on their menu. I also love that the soda they serve only uses real sugar and not that processed high fructose garbage. Even the chocolate chip cookies are outrageous.

  • Rachel B.

We had a pleasant experience here. Excellent and fresh ingredients, a wide variety of options, clean image and environment. Overall, I'm impressed. The only concern was the cost. Being someone who cooks with fresh and organic ingredients at home, I know that increases the cost, so I understand.

Hands down the best place to go around here if you want healthy fast food. The ingredients are fresh and generous, the concept is great, and the service is friendly and relatively fast (though beware the lunch hour when the line almost stretches out the door.) The southern harvest salad is my favorite one, lots of flavor and it's quite unique. I like the Mesa verde if I want to trick myself into thinking a salad wrap is chipotle, though I do wish it had a bit more flavor. Sometimes I'll get two wraps and eat one for a later meal- if you ask, they'll not cut it in half and put the dressing on the side, which makes the wrap stay fresher a lot longer. Overall I really like this place, and only wish they had another location on Hwy 17. Oh also, get the loyalty card and you get your tenth salad free. They have an app too, but I always forget to use it.

I'll be honest with you: I freaking love vegetables, but for whatever reason, I've never been one for salads. I'm not that into raw veggies, & I'm weirdly particular about how big the lettuce should be. (Too big of a bite, & I end up with dressing on my cheek! Not too ladylike.) However, I'm a huge fan of Verde! (Maybe it's because they use a fancy lettuce chopper to create perfect bite size lettuce.) Choose from one of their signature salads or wraps, or create your own. Menu items range from $7-$9, so it's pretty standard lunch prices. For the past two years, they've even celebrated their anniversary with significantly cheaper signature items! (I think they were $3, but I can't remember the exact price...) Stores are clean, & the staff is really friendly! Great spot for lunch breaks!

  • Sara B.

Excellent salad place. Creative options that are served up quickly and easy to carry out for a fast, quick meal. The house made dressings really shine: lemon tahini, cilantro lime vinaigrette, sweet tea vinaigrette. The only think keeping it short of 5 stars is the lack if steak or red meat for their salads. Heresy? Perhaps, but sometimes chicken just won't do.

    (4)
  • Christi T.

I prefer this location over the location on King St. The staff is friendly, the bar is tidy and clean, the ingredients always look fresh, and the salads are made consistently well.

Like Moes for salads. Tons of toppings, bases, and dressings. Bonus points for having awesome desserts.
