I love Raising Cane's. I recently moved to SC from MD and we did not have a Raising Cane's there. So, I was pleasantly surprised when I first tried them. Some family members came in town and I took them there, and they loved it as well. Chick Fil A was my favorite until I tried Raising Cane's...Since moving here 2 months ago, I have not been to Chick Fil A and have been to Raising Cane's approximately 7 times.

This is by far the best chicken in the area. They cook it when you order it. When it comes out it is so hot it's steaming. The best part is the Cane Sauce. I don't know what they put it in, but it's amazing!!!

I don't know why this place only has 3 stars. I've eaten at every chicken place in the country and this place is by far the best. They're food is always very well prepared and super consistent. They also give you coleslaw, Texas toast, sauce, and they're fries are the bomb!!! Awesome value and they even offer a military discount on top of they're already low prices!!!

Coleslaw, average at best, just crunch of cabbage and carrot with mayo, no flavor. Fries, average at best, crinkle cut, hot, lacks salt or seasoning. Needs ketchup for sure. Texas toast, thick, soft pillowy, here's the salt & seasoning. So this is good. Chicken tenders, about 4-5", nice white meat strips, with crispy coating, seasoned well, comes with some light pink sauce called Canes sauce, really just a thin mayo sauce with maybe ketchup, black pepper and othe seasoning. I mean it's all good. Canes has 4 chicken finger combos: 3, 4, or 6 pieces, then a 3 on a kaiser roll. So menu is pretty simple. They take your name when ordering, and then call it when ready, but the noise inside makes it difficult to hear you name called. Service, well it's fast food, so don't expect much. And I got what I expected. Overall good chicken, if that's your desire then go here.

We went and bought a to go family meal and it was expensive!! To make matters worse, when we got home we got NO Canes's sauce!!! I will admit that the chicken was crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The fries were cold though. A little disappointed about the service.

When from out of town, it's hard to make a stop at Raising Canes, simply because there's so darn many good places to eat in this area. With friends in from California, we stopped in here so I could show them a taste of Southern chicken tenders. Back home, they have KFC, Church's and Popeye, all of which can't hold a note to Raising Canes. We had just eaten lunch at Sticky Fingers an hour prior, but I ordered one Three-Finger combo and had them split it, so they could see how it compared to West Coast chains. Sure enough, I had to go back an order another combo for them, because they were amazed with how real, fresh, hot and not greasy they were. And, they loved the Cane's sauce. Side note: The sweet tea and lemonade rocks, too! Great place to swing by for a quick lunch or snack, save money and eat a full dinner in Charleston.

First, the portions to dollar amount is a joke. So expensive for so little. Second, if all you are going to offer is chicken tenders then they better make me food orgasm. They don't. Don't get me wrong, the chicken tastes fine. It's good. But I can get twice the food elsewhere for the same price that is just as good if not better. Plus the fries are meh. The Texas toast is as simple and boring as a piece of bread can get. To be honest, I'd take Publix fried chicken and pricing over this place any day and twice on Sunday.

I hunt for 'Canes wherever I travel. TX, VA, OH, and now SC. I was looking forward to 'canes since before traveling down and it was better than I was expecting! C'mon!! Please come to Indy!

The good stuff...their chicken tenders are fantastic, my favorite at any fast food place. The texas toast served with many of the meals is delicious and a nice touch. Their Cane's sauce, also incredibly good. The fresh squeezed lemonade also is delicious (best without ice). The bad stuff...they ONLY serve chicken tenders. This sometimes presents a problem if not everyone in the party wants tenders. It is kind of pricey. They only served their cane's sauce when I first started going there...now I said above that I love it but if you don't you're out of luck unless you just want to use ketchup. Their fries are just so so (crinkle cut fries have never been a favorite of mine). Overall I've always had great juicy white meat tenders there and will continue to keep going there anytime I have that craving.

I stopped into Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers in Mt. Pleasant today for lunch. The restaurant has been open for about a year and there always seems to be somewhat of a crowd there whenever we've driven by. I decided to see for myself what the draw was. This place is the epitome of simple. Simple layout, simple design, simple menu, easy ordering system, fast service and friendly people. Todd Graves, the "owner, fry cook and cashier", should bottle this recipe and sell it... quickly. The story of Raising Cane's is an interesting one. Todd received a very low grade in college on his business plan to open a restaurant that only sold chicken fingers. The bank also kicked him to the curb on this venture. So he decided to work hard and earn his own money to open his first location just outside of LSU. The result was a successful restaurant that had to stay open until 3:30 a.m. to meet the needs of those who desired chicken fingers. So my visit today was just as simple. A nice young man at the counter asked me for my order and what sauce I wanted. I ordered a Combo meal that included three chicken fingers, fries, Texas Toast and a fountain beverage. When I asked what my sauce choices were he said, "You must be new here so I'll make sure you get both the Cain's sauce (a little spicy number) and the honey mustard." I then went to the condiment station (which was spotlessly clean like the rest of the restaurant), and got my beverage, napkins, etc. A few minutes later they called my name and delivered my lunch. For a whopping $6.62 there was actually too much to eat. Three crisp, very hot chicken fingers, fries and a jumbo piece of grilled Texas toast adorned my plate. Both of the sauces were good, but I found the honey mustard sauce to be a tad too sweet. I can say though, that I was in Chicken Finger Heaven. Who would have thought that you can open a restaurant that serves just Chicken Fingers? If you want a sandwich they offer that too, it's a few chicken fingers on a bun with lettuce and tomato. It can't get much easier than that. After 15 years Raising Cane's (named after Todd's dog), are now in 15 states and have over 100 locations. When I found this out from their website I wondered what the professor that graded Todd so harshly was doing today...

The previous reviewers must have no taste, Canes does chicken strips just as well as Zaxby's. I thought the same thing the first time I walked in, " just chicken strips" but there awesome!

Let's see...they have only 4 choices on their menu. Chic/fries, more chick w/ fries, extra more chick with fries Cole slaw and margarine soaked bread, and..well you can guess the last one. I think theres a sandwich in there somewhere. Who Only wants chicken and fries? I mean really. In a town like Mt. P where so many folks are pretty conscious of what they eat, their only damn options are chicken and fries? Customer service was slack..although it coulda been bc they were bored to death. There were wamore staff than customers. The cashier was adjusting her bra straps while taking my order. I asked the cashier what is "cane" sauce. Her reply was "honestly, I don't know. Only the manager knows." What?? I give this place one year tops in Mount pleasant. My suggestion? Keep driving to Chick-Fil-A.

Like others I was bothered by their lack of selection in the beginning. However, the combos are great. Everything in the box is delicious. We eat takeout from there probably twice a week now!

Canes just opened a few weeks ago and they only serve chicken fingers, cole slaw, texas toast and fries. WE had dinner there tonight (drive though) and we were pleasantly surprised. The chic fingers are excellent, crispy, alot of meat and not at all greasy. Fries were also very good although they could have been cooked a bit more. The special sauce which is mayo based is good but i am sure very fattening.. Great compliment to the fingers. The cole slaw was just ok, looks prepackaged which is a shame as everything else is obviously fresh. If you are a restaurant that only serves 3 or 4 things, you need to make sure those things are perfect. Ditto on the texas toast. Which is not really texas toast but a large roll that is supposed to be buttered and seasoned and then put on the grill. Ours was none of the above. Again, if you only serve 4 items they all have to be great. The value is very good, we fed a family of 3 for a lot less then if we had gone to Chic Fil A. I will definitely go back one more time, and if the bread and slaw are better it will be on our rotation. Definitely worth a look. Manager take note... thanks

Crinkle fries, tasty toast, chicken - all good and they're consistent (we've been a few times). The service has always been fast and nice. The value, however, isn't good; it's pricey for fast food...which is why we usually end up somewhere else for chicken.

I ordered the 3 piece chicken dinner that came with bread, fries and a drink. While waiting, I read the cute poster on the wall discussing how hard the owner had worked in Alaska to earn money to open this little chicken shack, and I felt sorry for his lack of inspiration when it came to the final product. It's chicken fingers, not rocket science. A man approached the counter to complain that not only did his milk smell funky, the carton was clearly stamped that it had passed the expiration date. Back to the chicken. It was served hot, and was crunchy, but zero wow factor. I can do that at home, faster than I got it here. So I thought perhaps it's all in the sauce. I opened the container and was really put off by the color, like vomit with specks. After tasting it, peppercorn ranch dressing mixed with ketchup was exactly what it tasted like and looked like. I think if your going to specialize in something as simplistic as chicken fingers, the sauces should be the zinger not the afterthought. And lastly, I love music but if I can't talk to my companion who is sitting across the table from me, it's too loud!

They better have taken a picture of their cash investment. This joint won't last one year in Mount Pleasant...We are not morons...Better chicken strips are available in the deli section at Harris Teeter. I hate saying this but this place has zero concept of what they are doing...Who wants only chicken strips? Not me....Horrible idea..Okay food but not worth going back for..How often can you desire this meal?

I decided to try Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers (the 3 piece combo) after hearing mixed reviews about the establishment. I must say that I will not be going there again....not when I have Zaxby's right down the street. The chicken fingers were rather bland and although reminiscent of Zaxby's, they still seem to be lacking "something" that I can't put my finger on. As for the sauce, again, it seems like they were trying to make a variation of Zaxby sauce (same color, consistency, similar base) but the Cane's sauce taste more "mayonnaise-ey" and seems to lack a certain "tang". It was rather bland really. The chicken actually tasted better without it after the 2nd chicken finger. Now granted, Zaxby's is not the end-all be-all of chicken fingers, but when put beside Cane's I must say that Zaxby's wins (hands-down). The bread is good, not too buttery. The fries are mini-crinkles (personally not my favorite) but okay. As for the tea, it tastes okay. Not horrible, but not "make-ya-wanna-slap-yo-mamma" fantastic either. Again, overall, I've had better. I definitely felt like I wasted my $6+ dollars for what I received.
