An all-around great experience. This is definitely a bar, but the food and service were really quite good. We sat on the patio and the manager was very helpful, offering to put two pub tables together to accommodate our party of 6. Our server, Katie, was a lot of fun, attentive, and knowledgeable....a walking beer list, lol. Good beer choices, full bar. We started w fried green beans, firecracker shrimp, fried pickles spears, and mozz/tomato kebobs. All were freshly prepared and definitely a must-try. Dinners included ribs, grilled salmon, and smoked wings. I was pleasantly surprised by how good the salmon was, but the smoked wings stole the show by far. And the wing chips were perfect and plentiful. The guys enjoyed the ribs, but I'm admittedly a bit of a snob about ribs, preferring the meaty country-style ribs over rib racks. Not bad tho. We will be back, for sure.

Went to this place with my fiance and a friend tonight. I do not recommend it for anyone in a hurry to eat at, or if your are in a hurry just get appitizers. We ordered 3 meals (2 sandwiches and trout), the appitizers came out within 5 minutes of ordering but our meals came out about 35 minutes after us finishing our appitizers. Our meals were not hot, just Luke warm. If you do decide to go here just stick with drinks and appiyizers. I would recommend this place for a good place to go hang out and watch sports since there are plenty of TVs.

Very good ribs, shrimp and fried green beans!! Service was great, not sure why anyone would leave a negative review for this local gem. We did not stay for the band but had a good time anyway!!!

Moonshiners is definitely a bar, however the surprise here was the food was good too! I got a salad which was fresh, made with spring mix not iceberg! It was a healthy size and the dressing was great, even dipped my fries in it. The hubby got a sandwich that involved meat, I really can't remember what but he said it was good. Inside the atmosphere is dark like you would expect from a bar, but nice. Looks like they have live music at night. Great outdoor seating if the weather permits. We will definitely make this one of our regular places now that we know it's there!

The good: the service itself was good. Our server was attentive and friendly. And the appetizers we ordered--fried pickles and mushrooms-- were really good. The bad: it took forever for our food to come out. We probably waited a good 40 minutes for the first two plates (fish and a sandwich) and then another 5 minutes for the last plate, which was just a sandwich, so who knows why it took longer. The server kept stopping by to make sure we were doing okay during the time we were waiting, but she seemed to have no idea what was taking so long either and kept (wrongly) promising that the food was coming right out. The ugly: after all that waiting a lot of the food was only kinda warm, and we all agreed that it wasn't good enough to justify the price. Plus, who uses Styrofoam cups, AND keeps a restaurant so chilly in February. TLDR: good service, nice appetizers, not worth waiting for the entrees.

Nothing amazing, nothing really horrible about this place. Parking on a busy night is a struggle, but that's the worst part about it. Service is typically not a quick as comparable restaurants, but you're not left sitting with an empty glass for an absurd amount of time. Food is decent; there's nothing at Moonshiners that made an impression on me but my order has always been correct or promptly corrected. The inside stage area seems a bit too small for the kind of bands they have play, you're going to be half deaf from the band inside or from the loud customers outside. The TVs on the patio are awesome, though. I've been here to watch some football games and large TVs all around the patio are nice and convenient; the loud crowd doesn't bother me during the game. If you go to Moonshiners, you're going to get average food, average service, and an average atmosphere, from friendly staff members. Not my "go to" place, but I still go back every so often.
