I would have to say this place has some of the best chips and salsa of most any Mexican joint around. The free chips and salsa are served immediately upon arrival. The chips are served hot and if you want to try something other than the house salsa, they have a selection of over 10 other varieties, all very good. I had an amazingly priced combination ($8) that allowed me to chose four items from among 8 or more. I tried the taco, quesadilla, tostada, and enchilada...all very very good. Very good food, very good price, definitely recommended.

The food at El Paso is well priced and the flavors were good. Presentation of the food was great. A host of items on the menu, offering something for the whole family. The shop is both clean and tidy, having plenty seating space and a nice bar. The hostess/ waitress was attentive at all times. Staff members there greeted us in/ out when we left. The meal was more than filling, Ive tried a host of items and they never disappoint !! I know I'll certainly be returning soon and would recommend this facility. I always take my out of town guest here and they seem to like the food.

All the talk of a nice Mexican restaurant, none of the walk. Walking in to this place you definitely begin your adventure excited. It has great ambient lighting, great decorations and a friendly staff. We were seated and attended to right away by an incredibly friendly waitress who was always checked in to make sure our meal was going well! The menu was easy to read but seemed to be lacking menu items you would hope to see like Chile Relleno. What was nice, however, was that the prices were incredibly cheap! Well, that was a bit of a taste of things to come. The food. The chips were made really well, but maybe needed a bit more salt. The salsa was pretty poor. I tasted a lot of tomato and not enough of anything else. The flavors were not balanced very well. It definitely left something to be desired. The refried beans tasted like they were from a can and the rice was dry and flavorless. The tacos I had, had a very generous portion of meat on them.....and cilantro. The meat had no flavor and was dry as a boot. The onions diced entirely too large and very poorly. And the cilantro....you can't make meat poorly and try and cover it up with cilantro. All in all, everything but the food was fantastic, but, I don't visit restaurants to be served.

The food here is pretty decent for a regular non authentic mexican restaurant. The service is usually good, but lately has been lacking. Last night, ticket times were running over an hour. The biggest issue was putting hot food in front of my kids. Sizzling fajitas directly in front of a 2 year old. Had to push it in the floor as the cast iron had no handle on it that was insulated. Manager (who was the owner's wife), wouldn't bring me new food and still charged us for the entree.

Ordered from the parking lot to-go went in to get in it and brought it home less than a mile away and everything was cold from the cheese dip (which wasn't even all melted) to the taco wrapped in aluminum foil. Not only that but our ala carte items were mixed together in a pan with the bottom being real soupy. It was inedible but the chips. Really just sad it's only Mexican food.

We moved to this area for my job, we are from the San Francisco Bay Area and are used to excellent, cheap, and plentiful Mexican food. We tried this place on the outskirts of town, near the High School. The service was immediate, the food was very tasty, it was more Texas style Mexican food, so not so much what i'm used to, but still delicious. The salsa bar was great! The wait staff was attentive and gave us a free desert for my kids!! This will be one of our regular places from now on.

Our food was very good. Chips and service were just ok but Salsa was good. Restaurant is modern and roomy. we will definitely go back. Better then other Mexican places we have tried in town.

I will NEVER eat at this restaurant again. Tonight, as I sat at the bar eating my dinner, I watched one of the men mixing the drink in the drink machine from which they serve the public. He pulled the lever and filled the glass up with what looked like some sort of Pina Colada mix. He took a couple of sips, then drank half of it and decided that it must need something else. So he proceeded to pour what he had left BACK INTO THE MACHINE from the glass he was drinking from. Then he poured more sugar (or some other kind of powder around the top) and poured himself another glass. He drank about half of it and again poured his leftovers BACK into the PUBLIC container again. By this time, I was so disgusted that I couldn't finish my food. He was then replacing the lid after pouring his leftovers back into the container, and dropped the lid IN the container. He fished it out and put it back on top. This is where your drinks come from! It is what they serve the public!!!! But then it didn't stop there. He walked over to do some mixing in a bucket of what I guessed to be iced tea. He picked up a utensil that was sitting on the bar (which was dirty by the way) and reached his arm down into the container to stir the tea. Then laid the utensil back up on the bar. Unbelievable! Disgusting and it makes me wonder what I didn't see! Will never return!!!!!

The food has always been great! The service has always been great! I have not been back since witnessing the chef do his business in the bathroom and Not washing his hands upon exiting! No matter how much I like the food I can't rap my head around El poop o.

As usual the salsa bar is awesome!! I typically get the chicken soup. I know come to a mexican restaurant and get chicken soup but it is some of the best you will ever have. They put avocado in it and give you lime to spritz in and it great

Great, authentic Mexican food. They have a variety of dishes to choose from and even have a more Americanized section if someone in your party isn't a fan of south of the border cuisine. The staff is very friendly, and service is quick!

we got there at 6 on a friday and we had very fast service, the salsa bar is fun because there are many different flavors to choose from! the food is very good, typical mexican food and the portions are huge, the fajitas for 2 could have easily fed 3 to 4 and the combo plates are very filling. the margaritas are very flavorful and they are generous with the tequila! it is nice to have a good restaurant at this end of town
