What a wonderful cozy family restaurant! "Ditto" re the charm of the restaurant & the kindness of the lovely owners. Loved the quick service, even faster than some of those nondescript fast food places we visit only when nothing else is available. Had a toasted sandwich w/some of the best homemade chicken salad I've ever had.. The cakes, pies, cookies, etc. all looked luscious. Tried the lemon squares-DELISH! Too bad we discovered Cribb's on our way home from Lake Murray! Will definitely come back on our next trip to Lexington, one of the most delightful towns we've ever been in

Love the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. At first I thought $7.00 was a lot for a sandwich- until I saw the sandwich stacked super high with meat. Wow! I tried the roast beef and Swiss on sourdough with lettuce, tomatoes, and horseradish sauce. So good! I could only eat half the sandwich. It comes with a side also - I tried the potato salad. It was pretty good too. They also have a dessert case up front which we couldn't resist. The pecan pie was delish. My husband tried the cinnamon biscuits, which he had to get to-go because he was full from eating his entire sandwich:) Would recommend this place for a nice lunch. We'll be back.

Really good local sandwich shop. The real reason to go is to order their cakes they are 5 stars and if you find a better one let me know. Great friendly staff the only complaint is not enough single serving on the cakes and sweets because they usually run out. I guess this is a nice problem to have.

Great family owned deli shop in Lexington that I have been meaning to try and finally remembered to go there yesterday. I am glad I did. They are open for breakfast and lunch. Looking at the menu for breakfast, it is not a large menu -danish, croissants, biscuits. Lunched are your typical deli sandwiches and made to order. I was looking at an article posted in the restaurant from 2009, and it looks like prices have stayed the same since then (around $6-7 for a lunch sandwich and chips or macaroni salad). Love the atmosphere. You can eat inside or outside. In the inside, it looks like your typical kitchen like your grandmother would have. Outdoor seating is under cover with fans. And the husband does take the time to chat with some of his regulars, a nice little touch you cannot get anywhere else. Hours are 7:30-3 M-F and 9-3 on Saturday (closed Sundays). Have not been to their Facebook page and not sure if this would be something they would have listed, but I heard the husband telling another couple ahead of me that they were going to be closed starting on July 4th and the following week. Keep in mind that since this is a family business, that they could be closed for a week here and there since there might not be anyone to cover for them. On a side note, parking is behind the building. Coming from Main Street (US 1), you have to drive by the shop and park behind. There is parking in front of the shop, but it looks like it may be mainly for the shops that are on Main Street.

Great homemade sandwiches and cookies, cakes, pies, and brownies. I eat hear for lunch almost everyday. The Cribbs are very friendly and treat every customer like family.

So I'm sitting in traffic on Main in downtown Lexington and I see this enormous (fake) chicken outside a small business one block over. When I finally get to the next intersection, all I can see on the sign is 'sweet shop'. Sweets and a giant chicken - had to check it out! Had lunch there today. What a nice place. Clean, light, pleasant atmosphere. I believe it was the owner who took my order. I told him it was my first visit and asked for recommendations. I ended up with the lunch special of a half sandwich and bowl of soup. The soup was good, vegetable beef, thick and satisfying. But the sandwich stole the show. I ordered the chicken salad on wheat and it was outstanding. No offense to the soup but I would rather have had a whole chicken salad sandwich so will order accordingly next time. If their scratch made chicken salad is that good, can't wait to try the egg salad. Had to get something sweet to go so I opted for the chocolate chocolate chip cookie. It was great - soft and chewy, plenty of chips. Will def drop in again. Did I mention the free Wifi?

Awesome neighborhood deli. They have good pasta salad, and tuna salad. My husband said the chicken salad was good too. If the soup of the day is chicken bog, it's delicious! Best coconut macaroons you will find!

Excellent! The owners are really nice. I got the lunch special which was half a sandwich soup and drink for 7.95. It was very fresh tasting and delicious. Great atmosphere true southern hospitality. And there baked goods are excellent. U have to have at least a cookie when u go there. Will be going back very soon

The owner is so unbelievably nice and friendly. He treats you like family where you feel his "kitchen" is your home. The cakes are so moist and completely from scratch. Definitely worth a stop!
