Great place to have a good burger and milkshake. I ordered the burger with a side of hush puppies and corndog and got an m&m milkshake. The burger was ok nothing amazing but it hit the spot. The corndog and hush puppies were AMAZING! I had to stop myself from going back and ordering those two things again. The milkshake was thick and good but I wouldn't have gone out of my way to get one. I would defiantly come back here.

The food is pretty good. You get a lot of food for not a lot of money!! Their sides are most peoples entrées. You can get chicken nuggets or corn dogs if you like

This in response to the late-night, dine-in service. My husband and I placed our orders at 11:03. His food came out relatively promptly, and while nothing amazing quality or taste-wise----typical Cookout food--the order was correct. Then I waited and waited and waited and meanwhile watched one other person order (and wait and wait) and one person walk in, wait at the counter for a good 5 minutes, never even get acknowledged by the employees, who were all in back, and leave, and then, yep, I continued waiting. After 20 minutes of waiting, the person who ordered after me's food came up, and I went up to ask where my food was. Turns out it was done, but the employees thought I'd already gotten my food and they were trying to give my food to the other person, whose order was totally screwed up to begin with. So after 20 minutes of waiting I got my lukewarm food (with one measly little piece of lettuce on it. Really? Because lettuce is so expensive?), but then had to wait another few minutes for them to make the milkshake I had also ordered. When the other person who was waiting asked what the problem was an employee, who was either on break and just wandering behind the counter or who really didn't care one way or the other, blew it off and just continued to drink his soda. Restaurant was dirty. Employees were basically nowhere to be found. And the food was meh. I've had way better experiences with the Cookout in Five Points. The only positive of the trip was that the employee who took our order was pleasant in that interaction.

Charbroiled burgers in a drive thru setting, terrific! Convenient and the burgers tasted delicious! I enjoyed the hush puppies as well.

Okay, this is 4 stars for Fast Food. Just so we are clear. This is not a 4-star restaurant. For fast food, I really liked my meal. I found this on the way home from a business trip. I had a cheeseburger, fries, and a strawberry shake. The burger was thick and appeared to be a hand party. Nice think fries and very thick shake. The menu is rather extensive. Great fast food joint. Oh, and they do have a drive-through.

Last 3 times I've been to this Cook Out, I've had an issue. Most recent visit was the worst; both my burger and my sons burger were put on EXTREMELY stale buns. The kind of stale where the edge of the bun just breaks off with a little cracking noise. There is no way those buns were fit to be served. My hush puppies were lukewarm at best. I was given a total at the drive through and when I paid, the girl told me "uhhh you're $3 short." I told her what she had told me my total was, and she said "no, that's wrong, you're total is..." I gladly gave her the extra cash, but the situation was handled...awkwardly. At previous visits, my order was given to me wrong 3 times....a cook out tray with a burger that only has one topping, double side, and a sweet tea is not a tough order. I was also given the persons order behind me in the drive through, the person ahead of me was given my order, and the cashier tried to convince me the order was mine...it was not. Cook out in Five Points is ABSOLUTELY better, this one is not one I will be going to again. I can waste $6 in a better way.

the food was consistent cookout quality, but this location did not impress me. It is a very new facility and seems nice, but the bathrooms were NOT clean. If my husband says "gross" you know it's really bad! He didn't even want to touch the sink it was so nasty. The two cashiers seemed like they would rather be any place else but here, and were not helpful or friendly at all. The order space and the pickup space are the same area which causes congestion and confusion. I wiped down my own table, which is just a minor thing. Finally, the drink area was MESS! I had to inform them they were running out of napkins and such, everything was splattered and sticky, one coke nozzle was broken, the other was out of coke. The mat on the floor was partially rolled up and leaning against the counter leg, which was a tripping hazard. We did not enjoy this experience! When I feel like a cookout burger in the future, I will head to Harden St. in downtown Columbia. They move quickly but are always spot on and pleasant

Sooooo dirty. Flys everywhere, no clean table found, ice spilling over in the coke machine. All around gross. Couldn't even stay to eat because I was so grossed out. Poorly managed.

I'm glad I only live a mile down the street from this location. You get a great deal of food for the amount your pay. They have various options for the meat portions of the trays (hamburgers, BBQ, Hot Dogs, chicken strips) that comes with two sides and a drink for just under $5.00 (pre-tax). For me - their hamburgers taste like they have just come off a grill and love these burgers compared to a local bbq chain that is within a half mile of this location that tries to sell burgers as well. On my last visit - I wanted to try something different from the typical burger I usually get - so I opted for a chargrilled bbq chicken sandwich - which I was sort of disappointed in - the bbq "sauce" was a mixture of what I believe to be bbq sauce and may (?) - not totally expecting that. I'll probably just stick to the burgers. Size wise, this is really the main disappointment with this location. I believe this location was an old Taco Bell - which has since moved down the street. The building was small to begin with - so there is not much indoor seating, though there is some outdoor seating - which may not always be an option depending on weather.

You get a lot of food for the price which is great, the burgers taste great, the shakes are great and we love the hush puppies. The one problem is I love cheese on my burgers, real cheese and they don't have that. Last night we were thinking of somewhere to eat and cook out came up, we decided to go somewhere else just because my son and I like cheeseburgers, just not their cheese. But we did stop by for a shake on our way home!

We were cook out fans long before this one opened. We travel to Rock hill often, and would stop for cheap chargrilled deliciousness. You seriously can't go wrong with a combo under 5$. I'm giving this one 4 stars, because their drive thru is awkward, and hard to navigate through. I like the burgers, my husband always gets the bbq sandwich. I had the club style grilled chicken today, and it was tasty. They do love the mustard.. Just a warning if you aren't a mustard fan.

This is just another burger joint, nothing special here. The. Crew spend more time talking with each other then attending to the business of food The 1/2 hr to 45 minutes I spent there allowed me to see 2 customers return their burgers because they were not as ordered. My order was a double burger, fries and slaw and a big drink The double burger had an onion slice on it that wasn't able to be bitten it was so old and dry. The fries were the standard cool and floppy, the slaw wasn't made there it was the highlight of the meal. Strongly suggest you stay away, I will.

Don't go here late at night. Placed order at the drive through. I was then stuck for 30 minutes waiting for my food which they got wrong. Three cars behind me left, but I was trapped and couldn't drive away. Definitely choose Sonic next time I want late night food in Lexington.
