Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Greek Cuisine
Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

Mig's is pretty good. If you like Italian/Greek and you don't have an ass load of time then this is a good place. My friends and I will always sort of "settle" for Mig's if there's nothing else we wanna do...and it's mainly because of the sour puss up front that yells at you from across the foyer "CAN I HELP YOU?" No, you can not help me, because I am STILL DECIDING WHAT I WANT TO EAT! SO CHILL!

Awesome blue cheese. Small pepperoni pizza was pretty good. Hot wings could be more crispy and hotter but they are decent. Friendly customer service at the drive thru. I would go back.

I didn't give this 5 stars for it being a gourmet restaurant. I base my ratings on how restaurants compare to similar restaurants and were they are located. Migs is a good restaurant! It's clean, has great food, it's affordable, and run like a small town restaurant should be. The staff are always curtious. There is also no tipping here, which means you actually get what you pay for. Most people race about the pizzas, which I think are ok. They had me at "steak sandwich"!!! These are the highlight of the menu, in my opinion. The onion rings are great, but not nauseously greasy like the Dixie. My entire family is pleased with this restaurant. If you can plead the kids and parents, and do it inexpensively, you are doing something right! I've tried some of their franchises, but Saluda and Greenwood are the best! Stay away from Newberry, it's not fair that place is called Migs (different owner). I wish they'd open one closer to where I live!

Mig's is a staple in the Greenwood Community and has been since I was a teen. I've eaten many meals at Mig's and rarely does the food ever disappoint. The BLT special is often my go-to meal but I never hesitate to order the pizza, seafood, or a salad. All are fantastic. On my last lunch visit, I ordered my usual, the BLT and like always, the sandwich was great! The place was packed but tables turn over quickly, as the wait for your food after ordering is under 10 minutes. Lacking however, on my last visit, was cleanliness and customer service. After ordering the cashier ran my debit card and slapped the receipt down on the counter and barked at me to "sign this." Ouch! I signed and made my way to the restroom to wash my hands which I found to be quite disgusting. The stalls had dirty fingerprints all over them and the floor looked as if it had not been mopped in quite sometime. The tile floor near the dining area was not any better. I thought I would slip and fall walking on it because it was greasy. After leaving and walking through the parking lot to my car I could feel the grease on the bottom of my shoes. The cleanliness issue is something I've never noticed before in Migs so maybe it was just an off day, short staffed, or who knows. Don't let that stop you from trying to food, though. 4 stars on their not so off days.

Jacket potato. Was good, always is here.

Very clean establishment. Good service, and fantastic Calzone Pizzas. Always worth checking out the daily lunchtime specials too.

This honestly might be my favorite pizza that I've had. I'm surprised, given it's location, but it's consistently solid. Greasy, sure, but who eats pizza for health reasons?

I like the steak and cheese subs. The pizza and strombolis are good, too. They accept American Express.

This place is an institution in Greenwood. Migs serves up the best pizza in the area and offers up a few more unexpected meals with Greek/Italian. Every time I visit my folks we always are sure to order a pie, some stellar wings, and a calzone. It's quality food with personal service. I've never had anything bad here. It's a quintessential neighborhood spot that manages to live up to its rep. Really wish I had three ad a half stars but I will bump it to four because I grew up on this stuff and it's still fantastic. Oh one downside, they don't deliver but the how far away from this can you be in Greenwood?

You pay up front. Endless soda drinks or tea.Served in less than 7-8 minutes. I always like the Italian sub and half fries. They have really good ranch dressing here. Staff is usually friendly. Very good prices.

My co-worker would KILL me if she saw me giving this place just an average rating. Of course I can understand where she's coming from, if someone told me one of the places I grew up with was "just ok" I'd be pretty upset as well. Mig's pizza castle in my opinion is "just ok". They serve up pizza, sandwiches, calzones, and other fried type foods. I've had both the sandwiches and calzones and can't say it blew my mind away. Is it good for the area? Yeah, I can see how people would like this place. It's quick, filling, and decently priced. And for all us with short lunches, that makes a huge difference. Right in between fast food and a sit down kind of place, I wanted to like this place more, but alas, it is what it is.

A Greenwood staple, but I don't know why. Been around forever and their business seems to do well. Food is good, although some would say great. Customer service is poor. I like people that smile and are nice. Is that too much? PS. Pasta should never be cooked that long.

Mig's is a local Greek owned restaurant with meals ranging from Pizza (obviously), Calzones, Subs, Sandwiches, Seafood, and even my favorite, the Chicken Strip plate. The flavors presented in their offerings is truly phenomenal. The servings are also great for the price! Order a Cheese Steak and you'll be lucky to get through it! That's not even considering the 'large' option! Lunch is typically a rush, but the staff do a great job in getting the food out in a timely manner. Mig's is truly as good as it gets!

The food was ok. Cost too much for what we got. And the server gave my boyfriend mayo instead of the dressing he asked for.
