Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Capri's is, without a doubt, the best Italian place in Greenwood. The food is delicious and very authentic to the Italian originals. The wait staff is some of the best I've seen in a while and some of them can even recommend a wine (which is rare in Greenwood). And the atmosphere of the place is one of a 1940's Italian-American White-Collar type place. If you've got the dough, you'd be crazy not to eat here at least once!

This is an Italian restaurant that is good for lunch. When you order, they give the table an order of bread. For appetizer, chicken fingers, battered mushrooms, and cheese sticks. Everything was tasty and well seasoned. I usually order The Melt. That is a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese. It is normally served on an onion roll, but I ask for plain burger bun. The sandwiches do not come with fries. But I always add an order of waffle fries. So delicious. From all the food that I have tried their over the years, the only complaint i have is that the breading for the flounder needed more seasoning. The prices are reasonable and some days there are specials like buy one, get one pizza or lasagne lunch special. It is definately worth trying for lunch or dinner.

Food is always great, we eat there every Wednesday for the chicken strip lunch special

The only Italian place (or at least it was, it was definitely the first) in Greenwood and thus worthy of a review all on its own. Seriously, has no one in Greenwood discovered yelp? Surprisingly some of the best fried chicken in town, though if I remember right it's only a special, not a regular menu item. Pastas and appetizers are all well prepared though this is probably not the bastion of authentic Italian food. I've never had a miss on the menu and you won't either. Prices are very reasonable and service will make you smile.

For $21.83 I had a basket of bread, baked onion soup, house salad, 2 glasses of red wine, and the manicotti!!!! Unbeatable! I got there just a bit after 5:00pm. The restaurant did not fill quickly, however, their carryout service was jumping. The waitstaff was attentive and the meal was paced well. The bread was just okay (your standard restaurant bread) and came with butter and olive oil with seasoning and garlic. I substituted the Minestrone for the Baked Onion Soup. It was amazing! However, The soup by itself could have been a meal. I managed to polish it off though. The house salad was typical for an italian restaurant. Nothing special to report. Their special that evening was Chicken Cacciatore. I almost ordered it, but chose to go with the Manicotti. I am glad I did. The manicotti was stuffed into perfectly cooked crepes. They melted in my mouth! Somehow, someway, I was able to clean the plate, but alas, I had no room for dessert. I can only imagine how delicious they are... I would most definitely go back for the manicotti alone... 2 thumbs up.

The salad was good as well as the service. I was very disappointed in the egg plant Parmesan. I would try something else time.

Ordered Fried Fish and Fried Oysters....don't know if the oil they are using in the deep fryer was old or what, but it was too greasy and really inedible. Salad was good, with a nice variety of veggies and home made salad dressing. My wife ordered pasta and she was very pleased.

This is the Italian restaurant in Greenwood, great manicotti and lasagna. Also try the fried oysters, excellent. Service is always super, and you leave full. A classic restaurant that aims to please. Lunch is also a great choice but you may need a nap and definitely sunglasses when you walk out. I recommend the specials.

Perfect for lunch or dinner, Capri's offers Italian, steak, seafood and sandwiches. Their salads are good, and the bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar is tasty. They seat you quickly and the servers are friendly and knowledgeable. They have wine suggestions for every meal. The Coperto Chicken is my husband's favorite. I'm a fan of their lasagna. I don't think their desserts are made in-house. The prices are very reasonable.

Went there on a business trip, they have a special fries, which is very tasty. The steak, although on the menu claimed to be the best in town, is definitely no where near what they claimed. Price is not bad.

It's been a few years but I had the best tuna fish sandwich that I've ever enjoyed and I've had quite a few. I have not had much else there but if the balance of the items are nowhere close to the tuna, this is a seriously good place.

Great restaurant. I always love to order the spaghetti dinner which comes with a glass of wine, salad, bread, and soup and spaghetti with meatballs or meat sauce.
