Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

We were at an airshow at the Greenville Airport just about 2 years ago. Met a couple from Philly PA like my husband. Of course the PHILLY CHEESESTEAK SUBJECT came up. They told us about TORRELLIS located in Travelers Rest. We have gone to the Cherrydale area many times...had no idea that this place was only about 3 miles N!! We both LOVE their Philly Cheesesteaks!! For his last birthday...gave him a choice to eat ANYWHERE within 100 miles...his choice was TORRELLIS PIZZA!! Met our daughter & her husband up there & all were happy. The owner & his wife & son are very friendly & go out of their way to serve you! They are the only place we know in the greater Greenville SC area that make huge 28 inch pizzas like they do up North!! The prices are compatible...pizzas are higher than most places...but the crust and ingredients are NY style all the way!! The Best Deal here is that you can get 2 HUGE slices with a drink for $6. I can only eat 1 slice...take the other home!!

I am originally from up north where NY Style pizza rules and this is it. The dough is the same as you would get it in Manhattan with the right texture and taste. The amount of sauce and cheese is perfect and I have never had a bad pizza. Their calzones are amazing as well. I personally like the crust done a little more so I always ask for well done. It's never burnt and always the right crunch. Top notch.

What a delicious huge slice of pizza. The ingredients on the meat side were a little skimpy but the pizzas tastiness offset that. I highly recommend as I am going back for another visit right now, this friendly pizza joint with tableside service from an attentive staff!!!

Best of everything: Excellent Customer Service Fresh and tasty ingredients Economical largest slice ever for under $3.00

Good chewy crust...a bit thick for my taste, but I'm picky. Nicely spiced sauce, a lot better than most other places in Greenville. Nicely greasy, which I like. My biggest gripe is the sparseness of toppings. We got two 16 inch pizzas (1 single topping, 1 two topping). The single topping pie had two slices with cheese only...the way the sparse toppings were scattered, they missed two slice-sized sections altogether. The two topping pie had one slice that was similarly cheese only. For the price, they shouldn't be so stingy.

Pizza and wings and garlic knots! No but seriously get the garlic knots.

When I visit family and friends in Western Carolina, I always put Torrelli's Pizza on my bucket list .I make the trip to Greenville, SC just for Torrelli's Pizza. I love the pizza at Torrelli's. The pizza crust has good texture. The crust isnt to tough or soft. The sauce is tasty. The cheese really makes the pizza. The cheese is delicious. Torelli's toppings are fresh. The pepperoni and sausage pizza is my favorite. If you are in the Greenville area, I recommend trying Torrelli's Pizza.

Great pizza. Had the lunch special: 2 large cheese slices of pizza and a drink for $6.45 plus tax. Pizza is NY style, very thin, crispy not doughy. I was told that garlic knots were not available to order before 4pm which is odd but anyway... The pizza here is great; best NY style pizza in the area is a tossup between Torrellis, Vic's, Tony's, Tito's.

Some of the best pizza around. Love that they're steeler fans too!

We drove twenty minutes just to try this place because of reviews on yelp and we were not disappointed! First time that we've gotten light sauce when we requested it, usually places put way too much for our liking. The pizza is delicious, NY style pizza really hit the spot! I definetly recommend this place!

This is our favorite place in town. Really a 4 star because of the lousy atmosphere, but I gave it five because of the other review (2 stars). Even the other reviewer seems to like the place but just had a bad late night experience. Great crust and mix of quality cheeses. Big pizzas (28 inches) and friendly owners. Sauce is not the star but not bad. Ingredients are good too.

Good food and great prices. This place is close to home and the grocery store I often shop at. The staff is very friendly.

Best pizza around. We eat here often and have yet to have a poor experience. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is because of the atmosphere in the restaurant and the early closing times.

The best pizza in the Greenville area, period. The sole reason this place doesn't have more pub is because it's located practically in Traveler's Rest near Furman. Delicious NY style utility pizza. Crust is tasty, not too thick or thin. Worth the drive - you will not be disappointed, but you will need a wheelbarrow to get out once it's time to leave.

Really good local pizza joint. Not much for atmosphere, but friendly service and delicious pizza, love their crust and cheese. They have a 28" pizza that they will give you for free if you eat it all in 40 minutes! Their daily special is 2 HUGE slices and a drink for $5.95, toppings $1.00 each. Their 2 huge slices are about the same size as a small pizza from Pizza Hut.

I have oft enjoyed Torrelli's in the past (2 stars for that), but this time was a bust! I went there with two friends on a Saturday night, after checking that closing time was 9pm. The following occurred... 8:10: Arrive 8:15: Attempt to order, told we cannot order by the slice (aka The Torrelli's special!) because it is "8:30, almost 9 o'clock." Also that we cannot order garlic knots at this unreasonable hour. 8:17: Double check time on cell phone. Fume a little bit. 8:20: Order medium pizza but express dissatisfaction that we cannot order slices and knots. Server explains that we should not expect to be able to order these items at this time. This is because 1. it's a Saturday night and 2. there's a Carolina game on. Wait... aren't those the reasons why people want to eat pizza? (Besides drunkenness-- We are talking about Furman's preferred pizza joint, after all) So the pizza wasn't bad. In fact, it was quite tasty. Then again, the garlic knots are usually tasty too... when I can order them... I wouldn't have minded if Torrelli's advertised their "special 5-8pm!," or if the server had been apologetic, or if I had an inkling of how they could lose profits by making one extra pizza for slices in the last hour. And I'm still pondering what could possibly prevent the 8:15 crafting of garlic knots. Lesson learned: for all intents and purposes, Torrelli's closes at 8. Next time I will not cause such an inconvenience by coming in nearly an hour prior to closing. Then again, I might not come in much at all after this.
