Good food. Excellent wait staff. On trivia night the guys set up an extra large speaker and then proceeded to BLAST music to the point where we could not even hear each other talk. Sort of put a damper on the night. And it was EARLY. Look, we were there to talk w our friends. Not have bad music forced into our brains. This place is set up to be a spot to eat. To chat. To hang out and relax. Not a spot for loud music. It isnt a dive bar downtown. Ya know? He did try to slightly correct it but overall didnt really seem to care. Fast forward to later that night(our party had moved outside bc the noise level was crazy) the same guy who shrugged off our complaint of the music being way too loud apologized and then admitted to me others were complaining about the noise levels. So 3 star rating seems fair to me right now. We may go backandcheck it out again. Give it another try.

Great atmosphere, but terrible service! The food was OK but the beer was very expensive and we waited for 45 min for burgers on a Tuesday night! There were no hostesses so we waited for people to leave to seat ourselves. We ended up clearing the table ourselves and had to flag someone to get out order! Bottom line: don't go on an empty stomach or on a short fuse!

This place is fantastic! The drinks are awesome and the food is spectacular. The Flat has the vibe of downtown without the hassle. It feels like a neighborhood bar with exceptional Castro pub food. The hamburgers are the best in town!

When my wife and I walked in there was no sign to seat yourself and no hostess. This usually doesn't bother me as long as someone notices you're confused but we had to ask the bar tender to figure it out. We ordered chips and queso for an app. The queso came in a small metal condiment cup so the portion was very meager. The two burgers we ordered took about 40 minutes to come out. This must be standard because it wasn't the least bit busy and the wait staff didn't take notice of how long it was taking. The burgers were tasty but overpriced. Here's a breakdown of comparable burgers: I had their Beastie Burger for $13, which is a 1/2lb Patty stuffed with two items of your choice. I chose bacon and swiss, and was not given the option of what temperature it was cooked. The burger came out with absolutely nothing else on it. One side item. I got the fries which were fresh cut but a bit undercooked. The Bacon Cheeseburger on Steroids from Bad Daddy's Burger Bar for $12.50 is a basic burger, seasoned with bacon salt and 3 pieces of jalapeno bacon, 3 pieces of applewood smoked bacon, topped with Monterey jack cheese, housemade bacon mayo, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and pickles served on a bun It was a decent meal for both of us, but for the price one expects much more than what they delivered considering the surrounding restaurants execute much better at a cheaper price. It was our first time so we may give them another shot.

First time visiting here. Decent beer selection great cocktails, and decent burgers. A little salty but that's the oldest trick in the book to get you to have another drink. :-) fries were good too. We'll come again when the mood for beers and burgers strikes but we don't feel like going Downtown. I should add that they have a guy playing acoustic "songs we all know and love" rather loudly. So if that's not your thing, be advised. I would have stayed for one more had that not been a thing.

I've been here a couple of times for drinks only, so I finally decided to try their food mostly because the food had looked and smelled incredible on my prior visits and other patrons had told me how good it was. The food menu is limited to mostly burgers, sandwiches, and wings with some appetizer choices. I ordered a burger and fries and it was as good as others had said. The meat had awesome flavor - they use a blend of beef and brisket, hand patted, with fresh cut fries and fresh produce. They have an impressive bourbon selection and their cocktail menu looks fun and interesting. They have a decent selection of craft beer. The atmosphere is open and casual. They are open late night and also have late night specials each day. So, I recommend you check them out

I love coming here for lunch. They have a great burger and the service is great. Upscale bar food and pretty good happy hour. It's also a local business and we all should support local businesses.

A locally owned upscale styled bar on Woodruff rd, The Flat is just what your looking for. Great staff, atmosphere and amazing food. Happy hour and late nite specials. Those in the service industry will love this place after a long shift. The Flat sets itself apart with an extensive whiskey/bourbon/scotch list, skilled friendly bartenders that can actually make real drinks, and the aforementioned amazing food options. Plus if you want to call in a togo order they have a drive thru window for you convenience.

Great food! But late night is filled with kids who don't look old enough to drink. We've been in several times and had great experiences. Stopped in this past Saturday late night and was treated rudely by bartender. Will stick to only lunches going forward.

The Flat is you neighborhood bar with way better food and less sticky floors. The drink menu includes many craft beers, a few unique cocktails (I recommend the Raspberry Beret), and bourbons. The food is a step above with many unique burger selections, interesting appetizers, and wings. We had the japple burger and the pizza burger. The Japple had a perfect blend of creamy goat cheese, bacon, jalapeño, and apple slices. The pizza burger has sauce imported from New York. The vibe of the place is chill and friendly. We will be back!

This place is amazing- great atmosphere and fantastic food! Try out the Cuban burger, wings, falafel bites...everything is great! The staff is friendly and you'll want to go back.

Awesome fresh cut French fries and juicy delicious burger. Tried the hot parmesan garlic wings, great flavor and perfectly crisp. I think we've found us a new casual go to spot. I do wish they would expand their wine selection and offer better winery choices.
