I love Thai food and this place is on point. All of the dishes I have had are amazing! My favorite is the Pad Won Sen. Love love love!

What a great little gem this place turned out to be. I'm no stranger to Thai food, and this place was absolutely delicious. I drive by this place daily on my way home and finally decided to try it out one day after reading some of the other yelp reviews. It's true, the location doesn't do the place any justice, but I guarantee that the food you find within the walls will be deliciously satisfying. Great place to go for Thai food, and this is definitely my new place in Greenville for my Thai cravings.

Ah yeah! Last night in town and we finally found some good authentic Thai food. Third time's a charm I guess. As others have noted - don't let the location throw you off. Inside it is nice and charming. A plus was that they didn't pump the A/C full blast like many restaurants in Greenville seem to do. It had some fans running and was a comfortable temperature inside. We got the fresh rolls to start. They came with a very flavorful dipping sauce. My girl got the "drunken noodles" but they only had egg noodles. She asked for spicy and she got SPICY. Next time we will ask for a 3 on the 1-5 scale of spiciness. My Thai basil with chicken had amazingly rich flavor and was good and spicy for me. After our meal, the charming lady there offered us both a cup of the tom yum gai, which was super yummy and full of flavor, just like all of the food we tried. This will be the neighborhood spot from now on I'm sure. The service was great, the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. The place is humble, yes, but lives up to the five stars for all the aforementioned factors. Definitely worth a try!

Iama Critic Rating - Thai Jing - 4 Stars 3795 East North Street, Greenville, SC Overall: Superb Thai entrees and wonderful appetizers! It tastes as fantastic as it looks! In a brand new location! Before Thai Jing was Thai Jing, it was Thai Sky. Thai Sky was fabulous and Thai Jing continues that epicurean history in a brand new restaurant! The entrees range from good to excellent and the price from fair to slightly pricey. So Thai Jing provides a respectable value. $3.95 - Spring Rolls - 4 Stars And they are just beautiful. These large spring rolls come with a sauce that is heavenly. There is just one reason why these rolls are not rated perfect.... because there is sadly no meat in them! $5.95 - Por Pia Sod rolls - 4 Stars With a tasty duck sauce. They are perfectly cooked and delightful, but for $5.95 there really should be four rolls. $12.95 - Shrimp Green Curry - 3 Stars With coconut milk, bamboo shoot, eggplant, bell pepper and basil. However this entree was strangely quite flavorless despite it being ordered with a level five spice rating. In addition this dish looks suspiciously like yellow instead of green curry. $9.95 - Chicken Pad Thai - 3 Stars Although flavorful this dish was very meager for the price and the large plate only made it look even more so. $10.95 - Yum Talay Salad - 3 Stars With steamed squid, shrimp, scallop and mussel salad with celery and lettuce mixed with lime, chili, and fish sauce. While this is an incredibly light and tasty salad, it is also quite small. So whether this appetizer is three star or four depends on your consideration of money. $1.95 - Thai Iced Tea - 4 Stars It is cold, creamy and incredibly good, and it looks simply awesome! Sadly we do not remember if you get refills, so if it matters to you, then you might want to ask. $12.95 - Spicy Fried Rice - 3 Stars With mushroom, baby corn, bell pepper, basil and hot chili. This is pretty high asking price for "House Special" fried rice, but then this rice is pretty special. It could have earned another star if it had just had some egg in it!

I absolutely love this place! So much so I admit I have to eat there once a week. Plus when my friends want to go Thai, I drag them here! The owner is so sweet and even remembers my order when I call! I usually order take out, and it is super fast! The portions are good for the money, the taste is incomparable to any other Thai restaurant, and they always use the freshest ingredients! I have never been disappointed.
(5)Joey E.
This restaurant lived up to the great reviews on yelp. We ordered calamari for an appetizer, Pangang Curry and Pad Tai for our entree, some of the best we ever had. Service was outstanding along with the dimmed romantic atmosphere. They brought the rice out to my wife and I in shape of a heart....ahhhh!
(5)Josh G.
One of the best restaurants in Greenville for Thai food. If you are a fan of curry dishes, this place is a must go. Food is always cooked to order and is usually ready within15-20 minutes. Great prices and polite folks.
(5)Kendall C.
Thai is one of my fav foods. Out of all the thai food I have experimented with, this place is the very best. So impressive. Everything I order is with a medium spice. On their 1-5 scale that is a 3. I can't ever get past my three fav dishes.... Pineapple Fried Rice- The rice is perfectly done. Pineapple chunks are perfect size, not too large or too small. Cashews and green onions give this dish a nice little crunch. I love how the cashews are browned from being stir fried. I've had this with chicken and shrimp. Either or is a winner in my book. Panang Curry- Any of their curries are great but panang is dear to my heart. It has became a comfort food for me .The creamy hints of coconut & the huge pieces of carrot help give it a thumbs up. With chicken it is the best curry dish in Greenville. Definitely stands apart from everyone in towns interpretation. Pad Thai- Once again, they are the Greenville Pad Thai winners. If you are thinking what your next cheat meal should be...... don't stress over any more options. Pick this one. Perfect Perfect Perfect. Healthy portion! I've had many other things on the menu which were great but these three dishes are the stars of Thai Jing. Take out is very easy. Ready in 10-15 minutes. The owners who work in house every day are sooooo nice. Always have a smile on their face, always happy to be there. Definitely a hidden gem in Greenville. Don't let the almost empty shopping center scare you! ***Don't tell anyone but I"ve been known to order take out from here 3 nights a week. :)

Fantastic Thai food. Real food. As others have said, don't be put off by the location, it's charming inside and the owners/staff are wonderful. I will return!

I love Thai food, and I eat a lot of it. I hadn't even paid it much attention until I was in Thailand and I've been hooked ever since. Getting my first tastes in Thailand may have inadvertently set the bar high too. Even though I live close to Thai Jing, I did not even realize it existed until a friend told me about it. The plaza it sits in on East North is mostly vacant, and thus makes it almost "invisible" it seems to traffic, but I am so glad I found it (thanks to the recommendation). It is a Treasure and very authentic. The folks who run it are super friendly and warm, and are a joy to speak. These things matter to me. What matters most of course is the food and I have found everything to be pretty delicious, although I am not super impressed with the Massaman. I love the panang, Kra prow, Tom Yum and Tom Ka...and the desserts, like sticky rice and mango of course. I will be trying different stuff of course, but so far I really love those items. Give it a try, I think you'll really love this place.

I have driven past Thai Jing an uncountable number of times on my daily commute. I love Thai food, but the abandoned shopping center location of this restaurant made me a little nervous. My only regret in dining here tonight is that I have not been brave enough to have dined here before. My boyfriend and I ordered thai iced tea, satay kai, and curry (panang and green). Thai iced tea is always delicious, and the one served here was no exception. We ordered the satay kai based on a previous review. Everything on that plate was delicious. I usually dislike chicken on a skewer--but this chicken was so tender, juicy, and delicious. The thai peanut sauce was definitely homemade--and it was so tasty that we used the shredded carrot garnish to wipe up the last little bit in the dish. The cucumber relish was refreshing, cool, and light. I expected the relish to be more pickled and sour with vinegar--but the relish was subtle and smooth. My boyfriend and I each loved our individual curries. My boyfriend ordered panang curry with chicken--and the chicken in the curry was tender and juicy just like the satay kai. I ordered green curry with tofu. I love tofu. I loved tofu in this green curry. The spice level at Thai Jing ranges from 1-5. My boyfriend and I both ordered medium (3). I think that the spiciness scale here may be lower than at other Thai restaurants (medium for me is usually pretty spicy). For those who want to try a little Thai spice without sweating throughout a meal might try Thai Jing--the spiciness definitely enhanced the flavor without adding an inedible heat to the dish. Our server, Meena, was attentive to us when we needed her but certainly did not make herself overly present or anywhere near annoying. She left us to enjoy our meal and waited to speak with us until the bill was paid. I liked that she let us enjoy our dinner without feeling the need to entertain us or engage in a dinner-long conversation with us. She was attentive without being invasive. Meena asked which other Thai restaurants in Greenville we had visited and how Thai Jing compared. She recommended that we try the Pad Thai, Pad-Se-Ew, or Pad Wunsen on future visits. I will certainly visit Thai Jing again. I hope to dine in--but I also grabbed a take-out menu. This place is affordable and delicious--and the portions are fairly large.
(4)Karen L.
Had lunch here today. First time. This place is great. We had red curry and pad Thai the curry was delicious. Nice balance of coconut, Thai basil and heat. The pad Thai was delicious. In a city where meat 'n three is a restaurant style of dining and ketchup is often offered with "Chinese" food this was a real treat.
(4)Jonathan F.
This Jing is the best Thai Food that I have found in Greenville. We eat here at least once a week.
(5)Lindsay S.
Best Thai food in the Greenville area without question. DO NOT LET THE EMPTY STRIP MALL DETER YOU! I've only ordered take-out from here, but it was ready in 15 minutes, piping hot. Peanut sauce is definitely house made. Good portions at a good price. Pad Thai is to die for. Super polite people working. You must go.

Like spicy food, love curry. Had the pineapple beef at a 7/10 was the perfect temperature. No sushi, but the food was real good. The seating and the waitress could have been better

Hands down my favorite Thai food in Greenvile. One of my go-to restaurants. in the Greenville area. I've gotten to the point in time where I just say, "whatever Pam [the owner and chef] wants to make."
(5)Jeff W.
Went there for lunch for the first time today and had a wonderful experience. Service was excellent, food was great, ambiance was nice, and menu showed a lot of value. My wife and I both had Pad Thai. We asked for extra vegetable and they accommodated us nicely. The lunch comes with soup or salad and a spring roll. Their soup was very good and their Pad Thai was fabulous. We will be coming back, that 's for sure.
(5)Jenna T.
Didnt like this place at all. Ordered chicken panang curry. It was mostly broth. Had a few carrots in there, and maybe a couple onions. It was so skimp on vegetables. You could tell they didnt really care about the food quality. Once was all I needed. If the food is not good the first time, why would it be thereafter.

Went in with a Deal Chicken coupon and was impressed with the decor. Simple, clean, with soft music playing. Wait staff was polite and attentive. Ordered a deep-fried dumpling appetizer, which was great! Entrees of duck and Pad Thai were very tasty with ample portions. Nice presentation. Overall, a very nice restaurant. I will visit again...you should visit, too, if you like Thai food.

I'm unsure if this restaurant changed names or if it has always been located here, i.e. I am the first to review. Regardless, let me tell you about my experience. I am in town on business and looking for a decent Thai place. I yelp and find a couple places, nothing striking me. I Google and this comes up with positive reviews. So I gps it and off I go. The business is located in kind a dumpy strip mall; however don't let that dissuade you. I walk in (on a Wednesday evening) to find a few other patrons seemingly enjoying their time. I end up sitting at the bar, chatting with the proprietor who I come to find out used to work in Arlington VA (my current town) and ask her recommendations. I order the Chicken Satay as an appetizer and Salmon Chu Chee as an entree. The chicken satay was cooked perfectly - extremely juicy. It came with a sweet pickled relish composed of cucumbers, onions, and peppers as well as the standard peanut sauce. Both were good. The Salmon Chu Chee is a rather large piece of salmon smothered in red curry. I asked for medium spice and the spice tray. The salmon was cooked very well too - nothing dry about it. The curry, while appearing heavy was quite light and sweet with an absence of spice. Here's where the spice tray came in. A couple scoops of red pepper paste and I was a sweating. The heat cut through the sweet curry very nicely. I ended up adding in the white rice to the curry along with the pickled jalapenos - also in the spice tray, a very nice combo as well. Following this meal was more conversation with the proprietor about Arlington and Greenville and their made in house desserts. I couldn't resist the fried bananas. They were a touch larger than bite sized pieces wrapped up and fried. They were coated with a drizzle of honey. Completing the plate was a dollop of whip cream and slices of strawberries. It was a great way to end the meal. 4 solid stars for the meal and price. Next time I am in town, I will come back.

We eat at Thai Jing on a regular basis and think it is the best Thai restaurant in the area. As with any restaurant that you visit frequently, my wife and I tend to order our favorite dishes when we eat at Thai Jing. We find their Chicken Panang is consistently flavorful with just the right amount of spice kick to get your attention without being overwhelming. Their Pad Thai is as good as it gets east of Bangkok. There is also a wide selection of appetizers spanning different categories, and we have tried most of them. We especially like the chicken Satay and the flavorful dumplings. Although we are usually too full for dessert, we have tried a few from time to time and find them to be a wonderful finishing touch to the meal. We especially like the creme brulee. We do not understand how such a nice restaurant has not been 'discovered' by more people, since it is rarely crowded. If you want an enjoyable dining experience in a quiet setting, we commend Thai Jing. You will not be disappointed.

By far the best Tom Yum soup I've had in a while - very spicy, which I enjoy. Unfortunately, the Tofu Pad Thai was a bit of disappointment. There were no fresh bean sprouts or ground peanuts to accompany the dish, nor was there a wedge of lime. Half of the tofu was soft, while other pieces were crispy. This isn't to say it wasn't tasty. It just wasn't authentic. Portions were generous and prices were low.
(4)Gil G.
A friend invited me here . Did not even know it was there. Very non-descript when you drive up, but the food was VERY good. Quick service too. for lunch. NOTE that they are not open on Mondays.

This Thai food is delicious. The interior is no frills, but who cares when the green curry and noodle dishes are prepared perfectly. Gluten free diners can dine here safely as well, and the staff is extremely knowledgeable about gluten free modifications and options. Enjoy!

The most nastiest pad see ew ever !!! Usually pad see ew is bomb .. But this one tasted old and had a foul odor to it .. Omg it was bad !
