Diabetics at TGI Friday

If you're a diabetic, then you must be extra careful while dining at TGI Friday. Try the salad menu at TGI Friday to keep your sugar and sodium intake in check. Soups are great to keep you full and satisfied without munching on the unhealthy greased meat-based dishes on TGI Friday menu.

Ok, so I have been to this Friday's several times. I've had varied experiences - mostly, not good. One time, the bartender basically stole my friend's phone. She left it on the counter and the bartender put it in his pocket and "forgot" to give it to management. The last experience, however, absolutely took the cake. My family and I went for my sister's birthday celebration. My mother called ahead about 30 minutes before to let them know we'd have about 7 people. The guy she spoke with said it would not be a problem and that there was no wait. We get there, the hostess was incredibly rude and suddenly, within that 30 minute time period, there was an hour wait? Ok,fine. We wait. They ended up putting us in two separate booths that were beside each other. The waitress comes and our party inquires about the endless appetizers deal. My mother specifically asked her if the deal was for the boneless wings only and she said, "No, you can get bone-in wings." So we got that and one other appetizer. The waitress comes back time and time again to ask if we want refills for the appetizers. The bill comes and she had charged us each time for every refill, not to mention the wings were charged at full price. We politely inquired about the bill and she begins to LIE saying she never said the bone-in wings were in the endless apps. Um, what? I couldn't believe she lied in front of 7 people who clearly heard her say they were. She proceeds to go on saying that each refill was charged because we shared the appetizers among everybody at the table. Now if that is a stipulation for the promotion, that would have been fine! Except she never said we couldn't share. Every other table around us were doing the same thing and why would she come around several times to ask about refills if she knew she was going to charge us each time?? She begin to get extremely rude and got an attitude with my mother. Of course we ask for the manager, who eventually took the charges for the refills off. My mom attempted to contact their GM with no response, at all. Horrible customer service, period. Also I should mention the service before the billing fiasco was terrible. She never came to clear the table and we were basically having to put dirty plates on the ledge above us to make room. We had to ask for refills. And the utensils were filthy! Needless to say, none of us will be back here. Horrible experience that is NOT worth your coins!

The food was okay. My husband took advantage of endless appetizers, I had a sirloin 6 oz with parmesan steak fries and Jasmine pilaf. The service was awful. We were there for 4 hours, unacceptable for the food we ordered. We had 3 waiters, so when it came time to pay up we did get 3 copies of the check.

Took my daughter, son in law and grandkids for lunch on Tuesday. Since it was just before Christmas there was no wait to be seated. Service was great (Thanks Nikky) My wife wasn't feeling the salmon, but she did like the Long Island iced teas they make. Everyone else enjoyed their meal, even the grand baby. We'll be back again.

Sitting here now. Waiting for 25 minutes so far for a piece of cake...My daughter's burger came with nothing on it after she asked for condiments and pickels. My sandwich showed up with a tomato stabbed through the top...I'm allergic to tomatoes. Who in the hell puts tomatoes on a reuben sandwhich? Not this girl! My husband's food turned out fine which is good because it's his birthday. To top off the mediocre evening, my drink stayed empty for almost an hour while my husbands drink was refilled twice. Seems to me like whatever my husband says, goes and whatever I say doesn't matter. That's fine. Waitress isn't getting a good tip, especially since we haven't seen her but a few times. Cake turned out to be frozen solid and extremely tiny. Waited an extra 30 minutes for the waitress to come back, take the check and wander around to find someone to do something with it. They took $8 off the tab. Great but we aren't coming back.

I went to TGIF after movie with some friends an. This was not unusual for us, as a group of ladies we always attend the movie then go right accross thd street to TGIF. Last night we were all very disapointed. To start with the hostess was rude as heck (I mean its Fri night, put a smile on ur face, or at least take the hostess badge OFF). Then we all ordered the same drink "Margarita" why did all the drinks look diff, first they don't use Margarita glasses anymore, an the little salt that was on the rim was old an clumped. When the food came I'm afaid things didn't get much better...broccoli with no butter, my burger arrived without any condiments, an I was never asked if I wanted any, just a dry burger.. We finally called the manager over and noticed it was not the manager from our previous visits, after meeting the new management we understood better the downgrade of services', very unprofessional to say the least, she seemed to be more interested in making friends than getting our orders correct. Our waitress really tried, an even she seemed somewhat embarrassed by what she was given to present to her customers. .....old brown water glass when the other 3 were in a clear plastic, an the explanation was "oh that's just an old glass" come on now. If this particular TGIF expects to stay in business, they really need to step up. FAST !!! On a more personal note: The bathroom was spotless....yeaaa

Used to frequent here quite often. This visit, I was shocked by how downhill it had gone. While waiting to be seated, one of the greeters rolled her eyes and cut me off while I was speaking to the other greeter. After that, we ordered our food, which took 30 minutes to get and I was surprised that my burger was made with a pre-made frozen patty. At $10.00 for a burger, I expected a handmade, fresh version, not what I could get at Wendy's. After eating, I went to use the bathroom. There was dirt all over the floor, the large toilet paper roll was on the dirty floor, beside the toilet, and they had pieces of torn toilet paper on the roll holder to be used. I believe over half the female staff was hanging out in there gossiping, with crude language, as well. Our waiter was very polite and the children's meals were nice, but my husband and my meals were sub par at best. Very disappointed.

We loved TGI Fridays years back but this was our first experience with it in Greenville. The parking lot is always full so we thought they must be doing something right. First of all, you can't go wrong with the crispy fried green beans. Such a guilty pleasure - awesome flavor, not greasy at all, and I love the cucumber wasabi dip. Second, you can get an appetizer and entree for $10. Yes, $10, and the entree is not half size, it's extremely full sized. The Korean tacos are delicious. They serve you three soft tacos stuffed full of tender marinated beef, along with greens, diced cucumber and carrots that have been marinated in an asian dressing, along with a serving of savory jasmine rice. I was really surprised at how good this was. My husband had the seafood pasta, which he said was equally as impressive. The hostess and wait staff were friendly and the service was prompt.

Meh. I got a Ribeye, garlic Parmesan steak fries and a mozzarella/tomato salad. The ribeye was tough and lacked flavor. The Parmesan fries were crisp, but only had two or three sprigs of Parmesan. I was excited about the mozzarella and tomato salad option because I freakin' LOVE mozzarella, but even that wasn't very good. How do you screw up fresh mozzarella? My husband got the Jack Daniels Ribs- which he LOVES the sauce and he LOVES ribs. These came with some plain fried shrimp. He liked the shrimp better than the ribs. We could have gotten fried shrimp ANYWHERE!! And for way less than $25. On the positive side, it was kids eat free night and the kiddos aren't too picky. They enjoyed it, even if the grumps didn't. The service was average and I saw waitresses bossing other waitresses around and talking sassy. Overall it was a sub-par experience. We won't be returning...even if the kids do eat free.

We usually go to TGIF when we are on the road, but also if we don't know where to go :) This is definitely the the cleanest TGIF I have ever seen. That's why I rated it with 4 stars. No sticky tables, no sticky menus and a good and friendly service. I like TGIF, because wherever you are it tastes always the same.

Reviewing another chain? Yessiree I am... I work in the Woodruff Road area...and one thing the Woodruff Road area has is tons of chains for your dining displeasure...normally I bring my lunch...but there are those occasions when you just can't say "NO...that place is horrible" for various reasons... Enter TGI Fridays...and why is it that the interior of all Friday's restaurants make you feel slightly dirty? Is it the greasy, plastic menus? Or maybe the air is laden with grease? Or the vinyl booths feel sticky? Who knows...I was served a platter of tasteless fried mac'n'cheese bites...they had to have been one of the worst tasteless dishes from a chain yet...and they walked a fine line between cold and lukewarm... In response to their little slogan that "it's Friday everyday in here..." or something along those lines...I would have to say if that was the way Friday behaved all the time...Thursday or maybe Saturday would be higher on a lot of people's lists.

I sat and waited to be served. Five minutes. Ten minutes. I didn't wait fifteen minutes. They had maybe four other tables occupied. Listened to the servers gossip and gab.

Im a regular on TGI. Service is good, the food never fails and they have the best Patron Shaker. I always have the canjun chicken and shrimp pasta. My husband had the flat iron with mash potatoes. Good and juicy flavor. Also, on restaurants.com they have a $25 coupon for $10.00. Their coupons are the best.

Not impressed!!! Nice remodel but the service needs improvement. The hostess was rude from the beginning! When we requested to be seated in a different area (bc she tried to sit us near the kitchen at a half booth half hard table) she rudely stated "well where you wanna sit"! Then our observation of employees looked like they could careless, we were given dirty plates for our appetizers, and my order was incorrect. Don't waste your time... Better service and money should be spent elsewhere.
