Horribly long wait ---- too expensive for the amount of food. Manager was indifferent to my wait. All of the customers seemed incredibly frustrated....not a good experience.

Have been here frequently. One of my daughters favorite spots. I have noticed a slow decline in cleanliness of the interior. Today, noticed lots of dust on ice machine, lights, smelled like Clorox at my table and the door to the mens room looks like a wild yak has tried to horn it's way through it. The food is usually pretty good but today was just ok but it's time to clean better and do a little maintenance of the whole place.

Joy of Tokyo's mistake is calling it "fast food." You'll wait, but if you want food that can be in your hand in 30 seconds, you know where to go. If you want yummy hibachi style fare at an exceptional price point in a casual environment, Joy of Tokyo is your spot. The food was freshly prepared and delicious.

Ordered delivery from this place tonight and was totally disappointed. The spicy tuna roll was not spicy and the tuna was so old! Gross. The eel roll was the only redeeming factor but even that one wasn't very good. The crab Rangoon was too sweet, the tempura veggies were giant, and everything just left a bad taste in my mouth. Do not eat here, spend your money at a better place!

It is not the best chicken teryaki but because of my 99% food allergy I gotta find the blandest places to eat.. for me this is a five star situation...but not if I didnt have such food allergies...I might them have given this place two or three stars n run to some savory spicy place instead. CONS- They cook grill with other meats, dangerous for ppl allergic to other meats :-( PROS- Actually in reality, these bland food places may be healthier than most since the ingredients like salt sugar spices marinades are not used as heavily and food is cooked on order while you are entertained in the window!

I don't write reviews unless the restaurant leaves a lasting impression. I went in on a week night to order take out. I ordered chicken teriyaki, nothing special. I walked in at 6:45 and walked out at 7:05. It took 20 minutes for the food to be ready. The fried rice was flavorful, but overcooked. The chicken was barely edible, as it was dry and extremely chewy. And the final straw -- I found a thick black hair in my food about three inches long. Save your money and go to Sarku Japan. It's faster, cheaper, and tastes much better.

We went on a Saturday night, and boy was it packed! The line was to the door, and there were no open tables. The food was just ok; service was slow because they were so busy. It took 45 mins to get our food, and the place was super loud because it was mostly filled with large tables of teenagers being obnoxious.

food was pretty decent. rice bowls do not come with veggies (weird) so that was a minus one and they are playing Christmas music already... another uno deducto. Not impressed enough to frequent here.
