The food is basically good; the people are ALWAYS lovely. We'll keep coming back but wish the cook/chef were more consistent.

We have tried this Cracker Barrel several times (at different times of the day) and in all honesty it seems they only produce good breakfast food in the morning time. I know it's their busiest time but come on! We have gone in a few times for dinner and between my kids and I we have ordered both breakfast and dinner foods for our evening meal and the breakfast food at that time of day has always been bad. I'm talking send it back BAD! So we pretty much just quit them all together. The regular menu never offered anything we just 'had to have' so we just never went back. Now I only stop in to visit the country store and have a look around.

Todays experience was an example of the Cracker Barrel I have always loved. Our waitress Haley was pleasant although she made it pretty clear she was pursuing a Masters Degree from USC and this is not her career path. She took care of our needs and we left a 15% tip.All the food at the table was cooked to perfection.

I usually enjoy my experiences at Cracker Barrel but this time I was a little let down. I've eaten at several before but this was my first time at this location, and I was happy to be seated by such a sweet hostess, she commented on my bag, which I had gotten at another Cracker Barrel (funny enough) but and she got me looking forward to my meal. My server Tara didn't seem as interested in conversation, she took my order and left. I'm wondering if this is because I asked her if I could tip using my gift card (my dad got it as a birthday present because the last time I saw him, we ate at a Cracker Barrel). She brought the food, which was less than impressive--bone bits were in several bites of my warm-going-on-cool meatloaf and my chicken in my chicken in dumplings was dry as all get. She came back and filled my tea but dropped the check and disappeared. Luckily another sever, Lee, who was running coffee around for refills stopped to give me a box. He was very polite and nice. I was so unimpressed by the end that the Coca cola cake I had wanted at first was no longer on my mind.

I've been here twice. They have a couple cheap and affordable options, so I appreciate that. There are also a few games around which are nice to play, and a fireplace! It's a nice warm and cozy feel, and the food is pretty good... but probably not that good for you :p The second time we went we had a male waiter who was pretty bad though.

This place can be a total hit or miss from anyday or anytime, cookstaff is rushed and overworked dont ask for anything too complicated, it will come out wrong. I do have to add, it's a good place to go with large groups, your bill won't break the bank and you can always visit the insanely overpriced "country store" for odds and ends you could find at wal-mart for half the price. Just in case the cook is reading this, eggs cooked medium-well should have a almost fully cooked yolk, not broken and not flipped. It's called skill, get some.

Almost every food item we ordered was completely devoid of moisture. Sausage, ham, bacon, pancakes, gravy, grits. The grits were solid when they came out. All of it, except for my eggs, which I requested as over-medium and sent back twice and still came back undercooked. Every time they came out, they brought out over easy eggs. A lady who was obviously not a server brought them out the third time, and informed me very snobbishly that "This is how we do them here." After she left, the waiter went to the trouble to try and find out what qualities I was looking for. He said for future reference, if I want eggs a certain way, to order them overcooked, and with steaks, order them undercooked. Our waiter was very gracious and patient with me, as I was obviously irritated. I did not stiff him his due gratuity. The coffee was good. With the quality of food and management interaction we received, we left with the impression that Cracker Barrel was doing us a favor by letting us eat there. No thanks.

One star is too many. I will not give this place my business again after what they did to an employee who was a veteran in Florida. Typical heartless corporation.

I was out of town on business and went here cause I know they usually have good comfort food. Had the chicken and dumplings, food was awesome and so was the service. No complaints!!

I normally love Cracker Barrel. I have eaten at many of their restaurants all over the South. However, this particular restaurant cannot make their grilled chicken without burning it so that it looks like blackened chicken. The flavor of the chicken, therefore, is a burnt flavor and it is very dry. I have actually given them several tries and nothing changes.

This location is the best in the upstate! Always friendly and always good service. Food is usually good but once and a while something isn't as good as it usually is. Bathrooms are usually clean and are a great place to clean up while on a road trip. Enjoy!

I never thought I'd have a bad experience here, but at least in the end they made it right. My eggs were scrambled but must have been scraped from the edges of the grill and plopped on the plate. They were cold, chewy and the serving was miniscule. I was disappointed that the kitchen staff would let anything go out looking like that, much less be served, but quality control must be lacking on a busy Sunday morning. Then my pancakes with peach topping came drowned in syrup and were a pile of mush. I did send everything back, and a few minutes later two fresh scrambled eggs and three warm pancakes with syrup on the side were served to me with a smile. I think I'll stick to IHOP for pancakes in the future but will go back to CB for the fried chicken and biscuits, which never seem to disappoint.

Atmosphere: Manufactured nostalgia at it's best. It's like I dun been trans-porte-tated back to the farm an' Ole Yeller ain't rabid no more.... hey wait a minute... Well besides "that" the place is mostly clean. Service: Always nice. Sometimes too nice. It's sometimes the saccharine sweet fake southern nice. But, prompt and mostly accurate and the coffee ain't half bad either. I will say that the checkout line during busy times can be a bit of a cluster-F#$%. Food: In my opinion, breakfast is the winner here. Cheap, good, and fast. Seldom have I been disappointed by the quality. Not exactly health food but a great cure for a hang-over. Bottom Line: It's better than wafflehouse. Good for large parties. Great for morning after food.

I always have to stop in here to have their fried catfish when I visit my Dad and family in South Carolina. If you want Country food this is it. Fried Chicken, corn, biscuits, okra, sweet tea and all kinds of pies to choose from. You will go away full and very happy if you like food made to stick to your ribs. They also have grits and real good gravy that goes good with the biscuits. You can always have breakfast here anytime. I recommend the catfish and eggs and grits. The place sells all kinds of stuff even fake rubber chickens and cookbooks. If you need a rocking chair you can get one here. Go in and experience the Cracker Barrel they have them all over the South.

The outside of the store looks like something you would see way down south. It looks like someones porch. It's pretty cool. There are a few rocking chairs out. Once inside it looks like a "general store" like in old days. Candy and merchandise, basically it's a store and a restaurant. I really like it. I recommend getting the Chicken Fried Steak. I've haven't had one that good since this place. They give you a big piece of meat with sides. It's not complete without Gravy. They have a generous helping of that on top, plus they give you some extra on the side. If you like home cooking. This is the place to go.
