Great food, great service, great atmosphere! My husband had the pimento cheese sliders which were excellent. I had the bourbon pecan chicken, scrumptious!

I went here for a business dinner earlier this week, and had an enjoyable experience. Unfortunately I do not remember our server's name, but he has worked there for about 8 years and was very kind, courteous, and helpful. I had the pesto chicken paillard, which was pretty good. I also had a cocktail called the Twisted Lemon which tasted good, but I'm not sure how much alcohol was in it, as I had two of them and wasn't feeling it at all. Overall, a good experience, and I would consider returning again if ever in the area.
What a bargain with good food, service atmosphere, and price! Went there with 3 other friends and we all had a great experience. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the service was spot on, and the price with the atmosphere was such a deal. We all said we would be back.
Very disappointed! Spent $100 on a $50 (at best) meal. Everything about the visit was average. The food was neither fresh nor appetizing. We had high hopes but will not eat here again.

Great place! Upscale ambiance with reasonable prices for the quality that you get. We stopped for lunch. My bride had their meatloaf special w/mashed & asparagus and she just about licked the plate. I had a perfectly done 8 ounce ribeye with mashed & sauteed spinach. Outstanding! Doug, our waiter, was also outstanding. Very attentive. Very efficient. Not the least bit overbearing.

Arrived at 7:30 for a 7:30 reservation. We saw a table for five available but were told it was for a reservation not us because we were a call ahead which was not true. We made a reservation for five at 7:30. Finally 30 minutes later we were seated at a table and noticed the other table still empty. Food was okay. However the city supper ribeye is not worth the price. No flavor and less than 1/4" thick. Hostesses were not pleasant and the server made snide comment concerning our wait.

Upon a friend's recommendation we had dinner there with another friend we were visiting in town. As soon as we walked in (on a thursday night) we were asked loudly if we had a reservation. We said no, and were promptly showed to a nice booth. Decor was nice, but acoustics very difficult for conversation. My rib eye- way too salty and bland. Prime rib- undercooked for medium Fish- also salty and uninspired sides. I've had better meals at diners.

Bang Bang and Jazz! There are few places in Greenville where you can go on a Sunday afternoon, listen to live jazz music, and eat mouth watering delicious food. Cityrange is one of those places. We pass it almost every Sunday, and we have never stopped. Today however, while going through the usual "I don't know", "what do feel like", and "it doesn't really matter", we spotted a sign that said Sunday Jazz brunch. Me: "Ok Cityrange, you got my attention, let's see if you can deliver." CR: "Challenge accepted!" As we walked in, we were greeted by the swizzy relaxing sounds of jazz and the delicious aromas of beef on a grill. Once seated, our waiter, a super friendly and knowledgable dude, happily suggested that we start out with the cinnamon beignets. Now I'm not one for going for the up sale, but in this case, I'm more than happy that we did. The table split an order of these warm, powdered sugar donuts. It was like eating a cloud. A cloud with cinnamon, that forces you, really, you can't help it, to forego all table manners and yes, lick your fingers. Next up, we were served yeast rolls, and these delicious melt in your mouth pillows of bread topped with melting cinnamon butter do not disappoint. After much deliberation over the brunch menu, I consulted the waiter between two choices, and he assured me that I would not go wrong with the Bang Bang Burger. Now let me say this, I don't really have burgers a lot, but when I do, I have high expectations. And my meat better come from a cow or a combination of delicious veggies, not left over cardboard and worm meat *coughs McDonalds cough*. As I was saying, this 100% angus beef patty is topped with pepper jack cheese, thick quality bacon, a sunny side up egg, and a sundried tomato aioli. It has the perfect amount of spice. I ordered mine medium and that's exactly how it was cooked. Not to long, but just right. The first bite was an explosion of flavorful juices. I closed my eyes, listened to the jazz floating through the air, and in that one moment, the world was at peace. Pageant queens everywhere rejoice! The burger was paired with skillet potatoes, cooked with onions and peppers. A perfect pairing! Half way through our meal, we were already planning what we will get next (Apple bourbon French toast for me). Stop in, drink a mimosa, listen to some jazz, and enjoy whatever delicious entree you decide on!

Update- talked to the owner/operator and I feel that he sincerely wanted to provide a much better experience. He said he valued the feedback and appreciated informed customers. It was a very good conversation, and I appreciate his interest in providing great hospitality. I think it was a learning experience for everybody, and we agreed to give them another shot. He invited us to ask for him personally next time in, and I'm sure we will. 15 years I had been going to City Range. Had been a real go-to. NEVER again. 55 minutes to get the entree and the server admitted his error was in data entry, but made no effort to adjust the tab. By that time, we really didn't want a "free dessert". Walked out paying full tab, and it's the last one they'll see from us. Clear our business of 15 years wasn't important, surprised in that we had been at the bar with this server SEVERAL times before. Lots of other choices to choose from, and we will. Totally disappointed.

City Range has been a place in which I have enjoyed eating at for 7 years or so. Through work events, we have had a few group functions here which have been celebrated and festively successful. I've dined here also with friends on other occasions in which all was good. The determination of a good restaurant is consistency in which City Range in my opinion does a admirable job. Recently I have come to have dinner with friends and we know that the menu is solid, has some great options and they do a great jobs with steaks. Before I had ordered my dinner however I asked if they still served the chocolate volcano cake. Our server nodded and said yes of course! I then proceeded to the two crab cakes with a Caesar salad. The Caesar was lighter, not too garlicky and fresh. Crab cakes were large and generous. Not very fishy (or crabby more to speak) tasting often the case with less fresh crab meat! The chocolate volcano has to rank up there near the top of desserts in which I enjoy! It's a warm mess of chocolate (not too sweet) with a big serving of vanilla ice cream! You scoop some ice cream then get some of the molten chocolate and man....damm good is an understatement. Seriously it's such a good way to end off a meal! Ambiance of the restaurant is warm and has a nice central fireplace that gets lit when it gets colder out. Service was adequate professional and no issues. It's good to have restaurants like this on the list as you know what to expect and in life at times this is good!

This is an outstanding place to have a business dinner or romantic night out. Parking is free and abundant in their private lot. Call ahead seating is encouraged, especially for large parties or on the weekends. Food is unique and scrumptious. I'm not a salad guy, but they have some excellent salad choices. On Sundays, they have a la carte brunch. Entrees on a typical day range from steak to pasta, and all of it has a fresh taste. There is a gas fireplace in the middle of the restaurant that really adds to the ambiance in the winter. There is also a private room in the back that seems to be very popular. They really do a great job taking care of large groups. I would say this is a middle aged crowd, primarily because of the prices. Supper will run about $50 for a couple, lunch will run about $30 for a couple. I'm in my late 20's, and that doesn't keep my wife and I away! Highly recommend.

Sunday brunch was delightful. My husband had the prime rib special, and I had the steak wedge salad. Both were very good. Excellent service. And the live music was a nice touch.

Iama Critic Rating - City Range - 3 Stars 615 Haywood Road, Greenville, SC Overall: My favorite guest critic and I were looking for restaurants we haven't reviewed when we drove past City Range. He cringed when I said "Let's go there!", because, even though I always pay the bill, my very frugal friend utterly dreads the prices of fine dining establishments. I can understand his trepidation because we once went to Rick Erwin's West End Grill and experienced the absolute worse dining experience we ever had for over $50.00 per person. But sometimes you just gotta bite the bullet and dine with the upper crusties! And I thought the odds of City Range matching Rick Erwin's pathetic performance were statistically impossible. Thankfully, City Range turned out to be much better and if you ignore the prices City Range is a four star experience. Actually we didn't get to eat with the high society folk in the restaurant as the maître d saw us in shorts and t-shirts and stuck us in the darkest hole of a booth I have ever seen outside of Saskatoon's! I had to employ night vision mode on my camera just to get pictures of our food as we ate in the dark. Normally ambiance does not factor into my ratings at all, but my guest critic cares about comfort, so our booth was certainly a factor. The Service - 3 Stars (10%) Whenever the entrees I order start climbing above $20.00, or whenever I see the word "medallion" on the menu, I automatically drop my tip scale to our fine dining tip range. Our waiter was about average for a high end restaurant. He was not sociable, rather he was professional! He was attentive and had perfect timing. But he did nothing more than take our order, fill glasses and give us a check. I am not paying anyone $20.00 for that. At expensive fine dining restaurants we typically provide 15% or more for 5 star service on the pre-tax portion of the bill, 12% for 4, 10% for 3, 0% for 2 and 0% for 1 star service. The Food: $11.95 Signature Trio - 3 Stars The presentation of this appetizer was quite beautiful; at least it was in our night vision camera. I could not see a dang thing as table eight is apparently meant for nocturnal vampires. This dish is a combination of crab cakes with real crab meat, shrimp cocktail and tuna wontons. The crab cakes were tiny, but exquisite and very flavorful. The two shrimp cocktail included two shrimp in the 15 /20 count range. The cocktail sauce was as good as it gets. But the tuna wontons were a real disappointment. The flavor is delightful but is completely devoid of "tuna flavor". This wonton could have been filled with any fish and you would not be able to discern the difference as the other flavors overwhelmed the fish. $14.95 Shrimp Cobb Salad - 4 Stars This is one of the most expensive salads I have ever ordered! $15 seems outrageous, and it is. In fact I was fully prepared to hate it when I ordered it. But this salad is extremely good. The dressing is a creamy phenomenon. The eighty count salad shrimp were extremely fresh and plentiful. Using the flashlight on my phone the presentation was quite beautiful, and every bite was a delight. $23.95 Full Rack of Ribs - 3 Stars Apparently City Range hasn't received the news that not all customers like the same overly sweet sauce that they chose to slather all over their ribs. This might have been how good barbeque ribs were made a decade ago, but today the best ribs are provided as dry rub and customers are given their choice of a selection of homemade sauces. My guest critic, who loves hot or mustard based barbeque sauces, spent a good bit of time trying to remove the sweet sauce off his ribs. But he said the ribs themselves were perfectly cooked He also reported that the coleslaw was ordinary, but that the fries were top notch. $28.95 16oz Prime Rib - 4 Stars This prime rib came with only one side item, which seems rather skimpy so I ordered another side for an additional $3.95. The garlic mashed potatoes were tasty but rather dry. I added a little au jus sauce which made it excellent. My veggie mix of squash, carrot and zucchini was composed almost entirely of zucchini and the carrots were practically non-existent. The prime rib however was an exercise in excellence. And it had to be because this price is extremely high. I have had four star 20oz portions for many dollars less. But every bite of this prime ribs was absolutely perfect and the spices on the outer crust were wonderful. Excluding its cost this prime rib is in the top three of all I have reviewed in Greenville County. Total Bill: $105.00 for two people including tax, tip and two soda fountain drinks. Final Thoughts: Because of the high price / portion ratio and the poor comparative pricing performance, especially for our appetizer, we deducted one star from our ratings. However, as always, if price is no concern for you, and money is no object, then you can add a star to our overall and individual food ratings.

Nothing special about this place. The appetizers were great but the entree was mediocre. The wait for was long and the place was empty.

I've been here a few times now and this is what I have to say ... It's big - it's clean - staff is friendly - service is a tad slow and the value is decent. If you go not expecting too much - you will love it, but if you go expecting some of the best meats you've had - you probably won't be too impressed. Everything was ok, but the value isn't there - small portions and the deserts are nothing great either. There are SO many other places to try - I'm make a note not to go back here for awhile!

8oz ribeye was almost paper thin. Gentleman next to me returned his NY strip. Not worth the money. Service was the only thing that was good.

Everything was just blah. There were a lot of things that sounded good but ended up just being underwhelming. We ordered the Buffalo Shrimp, which had obviously been made with frozen shrimp, and we ordered the Pimento Sliders, which had unseasoned previously frozen patties. The only really good thing was the happy hour drink prices, but even then the drinks were a little sweet and under poured. I don't think we will go here again.

When I pay these prices I expect good service and good food. I ordered a dinner salad.with chicken the description mention pears and Gorgonzola I got three thin slices of pear and a very few pieces of cheese. I did get more when I complained. I honestly got a better blue cheese salad at Burger King for less than half the price. The wine pour was also scanty. There are too many better places to go to waste money here. My water also never got refilled. The bread was very good.

What happened to this place? We were there Saturday night. The place is still amazing but the food not so much. Make sure your teeth are as strong as a paper shredder if you order the pork chops. The sirloin tails were below average and overcooked. Food - Not what it used to be. Service - Still excellent! Ambiance - Very nice, it takes you back to a ski resort in Whistler. Alcoholic drinks - Nah, stick to beer.

City Range is a terrific place for inexpensive cocktails and appetizers between 4:00 and 8:00. And if you are so incline, you can enjoy dinner in the bar area - like I did with my friends. The grilled chicken pesto flat bread appetizer is quite tasty, and I highly recommend the Cosmo. Yum! For dinner, I shared a plate with a friend - the Black and Blue Medallions. Fortunately, my friend and I like our steaks medium - awesomely delicious entree comes with a nice crab cake and mashed potatoes & asparagus. The staff are that greet you are super friendly and the waitress and waiters attentive. The bartender is talented and consistently makes a perfect cocktail.

Kinda pricey for a week night dinner but I suppose worthy for a date night or special occasion , service is ok , food is good , I would highly recommend reservations or you could be waiting awhile , with these menu prices you should really be taken care of better ..as I signed the check and added gratuity I was like WTF did I just pay this person to do ?

Ate here a couple of nights ago after an....ok Japanese restaurant the night before. This was recommended by the Front Desk Manager of the Hilton and man was he spot on. Bacon Bites (really chicken cor Don bleau) was awesome and the filet was spot on, perfectly cooked. Service was great as well but the manager or whoever the lady was walking around looking important should smile once in awhile. Can't wait to go back, great food.

Every time we visit Greenville, SC my family and I have to hit up CityRange. The atmosphere is great. Last night "Doug B Master" looked after us. He was wonderful. Very attentive and interactive - not on cruise control like most are. The tuna wontons were yummy as well as the fried calamari. The steaks were cooked to perfection. We all left content, full, and sleepy.

Dark interior seems a little depressing. It's probably meant to be intimate but it doesn't appeal to me, also there's very little seating by windows which is a minus. The brunch is so-so, oversized portions don't make up for the greasiness of the omelets. The dinner is a much finer experience - the steak medallions, oh my, so delish and just enough to satisfy your appetite. I chose asparugus as my side and it was cooked perfectly, not too mushy or too crisp. Easy parking, good location.

My husband and I ate here today during their Jazz brunch. We enjoyed the music and atmosphere so much. We had the crab cakes appetizer which was great. We ordered the rib eye and the mojito salmon entrees. Both were very tasty but probably won't order the salmon again-- have had better. Will definitely go back.

First timer, reserved the table in front of fire place, hostess seemed some what confused on table and disoriented. Once seated, waiter was very professional. Food came out in timely manner and was good. Pricing on the high end. I would come back or suggest it.

A great place for a date night! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the server's were very attentive, and the food was great! I had the beef tenderloin medallions over mashed potatoes while my boyfriend had the full rack of ribs, and everything was perfect. For desert we shared the chocolate volcano cake with vanilla ice cream, and while it was more volcano then cake it was still really good. They also take food allergies VERY seriously, which is a great.

I sat at the bar area because I was dining alone. It smelled like a rest area bathroom- probably because the bathrooms were...right there! I moved from the bar to a table, but it wasn't much better. The bartender ignored me to attend to some regulars, and after 5 minutes looked at me and said, "Yes?". Umm, how about a wine list and a menu? Not off to a good start. I ordered the Petit Filet with Bernaise and asparagus. The meat hadn't rested long enough and when I cut into it, all of the juices ran all over the plate. The Bernaise was broken, cold and gloppy. Asparagus was still a nice bright green, but they didn't cut off the woody ends. The creme brulee was totally disappointing. Basically scrambled eggs with carmelized sugar- nothing creamy about it. Absolutely NOT going back...ever.

Food was good enough. But they really messed up the order. My wife ordered the Ahi Tuna and got the smallest piece of tuna. She said it was terrific but she was still hungry after the dinner. I ordered their roast pork dish and it was ok. The menu says that it comes with a sweet potato and sauteed zucchini. It came out with mashed potatoes and about 2 slices of zucchini. When I mentioned this to the waitress and asked her for additional veggies, she obligingly got them along with the sweet potato, but added the veggies to the bill as a side dish. The bill also reflected the vegetables that "came with" my wife's tuna as separate side dishes. I ended up talking to the manager and he adjusted my bill to my satisfaction. We've been there once before and had a good experience, so we'll be back sometime, but will make sure to pay attention to the bill when it arrives.

City Range is solid. Not quite above-average, but solid. The crab bisque had great flavor and the potential to be top-shelf but an unnecessary dousing of hot sauce spoiled the potential. The garlic bread they offer is stellar. Not to be missed. A friend and I polished off two baskets before you could say Greenville. The house salad was nothing more than some nondescript lettuce with tomato chunks, cucumber bits, and some wispy carrot. For the main course, I tried the 8oz prime rib with loaded baked potato. It was very good. Again, short of great. Prime Rib should have a great peppery crust with a medium (at most) doneness and a cool center. They just didn't quite hit the mark. My buddy had the fish and chips which he gave an 8 out of 10. We didn't have the time for dessert. With so many great places in Greenville reviewed on Yelp, CRSG needs to up their game a bit to achieve 4 or 5 star status. City Range Steakhouse Grill : C+

Just dined at the City Range this evening and the overall impression was good but I just wasn't wowwed. I sat at the bar since I'm in Greenville on business and traveling solo so I won't comment on the experience and leave my review to the food alone. I had the sirloin & shrimp special that was served with red pepper potatoes au gratin & grilled asparagus. The steak was great, the shrimp was lacking any taste definition, the potatoes were perfectly cooked and chunky but the red pepper was lost somewhere in the cheese and the three skinny asparagus spears left me wanting more as I didn't order a salad anticipating the asparagus. I feel as though I'd rather have voted 2.5 stars...

Went here yesterday because I needed a good steak, didn't want to spend too too much money, and read the reviews online. The good reviews held up to be true. I ordered a petite filet done medium and it was cooked PERFECTLY!!!! It came with a delicious mushroom sauce and one side for $20.00. The steak melted in my mouth... comparable to a Prime Steakhouse (not sure if it is one - but I did read on the menu that they age their steaks for 20 days - mine was pure perfection) Beings it is a steakhouse, I expected high prices for a small but good steak... they could throw in two sides instead of just one... but whatever, it was all good anyway. The bread they bring to the table is very sweet with a garlicky butter on it and also a butter dipping sauce which served as my appetizer. The staff was very attentive (but not annoyingly) and catered to my needs. I did not like the sauteed spinach I got as a side - they took it back with no problem and replaced it with a loaded baked potato. I left very happy, satisfied, and thrilled to have got exactly what I was looking for. I highly recommend this place and would like to go back again in the near future.

Med-High End Stake House that offers a good variety of fish options at reasonable prices; all without the stuffy feel of a steak house. :) This restaurant is big; that said, the decor, the low lights, the central fireplace and the sound deadening make it seem much smaller and even cozy. Not in the mood to do the standard hunk of cow, I tried out the Lemon and Fennel Roasted Trout - score! Great taste, texture and nicely complemented by grilled lemons and a parsnip mash...mmm. BTW; this meal is on their "UltraFit" menu; it along with four other options (most of which can be ordered in two or more portion sizes) were developed in partnership with John DeFendis, a former Mr. USA and the current Director of Exercise and Fitness at Coop's Health & Fitness in Anderson and Greenville. My buddy ate the hunk of cow - he said it was cooked perfectly! Recommendation: Attentive servers are great, so long as the number of times they check in with does not become annoying; it should never feel like you are being rushed

After eating at the City Range in Spartanburg, I had high hopes for the Greenville location and was thankfully not disappointed. We ate on a Friday evening and made last minute reservations with no issue. After being sat quickly, our waitress Stephanie came by to get our drinks. She was FABULOUS - very nice and attentive. She also found out that I am moving to the area in the summer and gave me her number, in case I wanted to catch a drink or hang out when I'm in the area. Super nice. The food was great - bread rolls are amazing and my prime rib was perfect. We got dessert to go with the pecan cheesecake and that was just the thing to eat back at the hotel. I will say that the decor is not as nice as the Spartanburg location, but that's not something too severe.

We chose City Range because everything else was busy. Probably a good reason we were able to walk in on a Friday night and get a table. Typical steak house food. Not crazy about the taste or price. Staff was friendly, curteous and knowledgeable about their menu. I will not be rusing to go back.

We found this place when trying to find an alternative to Copper River, as we already ate there while visiting Greenville for the South Carolina International Auto Show. My first impression was "Wow, they must really like stars!" there are a lot of them in the decor. We were seated immediately, as it was past 8 on a Thursday night, but there were still several parties there. My co-worker ordered their specialty beer and enjoyed it. He also enjoyed his pork chops. I ordered the 4 ounce filet medallions and a house salad. The salad was fine, but they somehow managed to undercook one of my medallions (about 2 ounces of meat!). I did not send it back though as I didn't want it over cooked either. I tried to order a recommended portion size, and it backfired on me. I would hope they do better with an 8 ounce or larger steak. But our service was great. We gave the staff some complimentary auto show tickets and in return received a chocolate souffle dessert with ice cream that was amazing! I will certainly try this place again next year.

I love walking into this restaurant because with the few times I've been here it has been so dang consistent - the people who work here are friendly and professional; the restaurant is clean, clean and quite lovely with the fireplace, and the food is so yummiliciously presented. For lunch I had the prime rib chili and the santa fe chicken wrap and coffee. Chili and salsa that accompanied the wrap could have stood more heat though. Other downside was that with tax and 20% tip my meal set me back by almost $25. But there is something to be said for consistent quality ambiance and service, so for that I'm willing to splurge once in a while.

My wife and I tried City Range for the first time this past week. The atmosphere was very nice and cozy, the staff friendly (although the bar staff seemed a little more focused on filling restaurant orders than helping the bar patrons --- I would probably call it short-staffed rather than rude). When we were seated for dinner, we had a great waitress, the food was excellent. The steak was cooked perfectly. The price was slightly on the upper moderate side...but not extreme. I would definitely go back again.

THE premier steakhouse of upstate SC and W North Carolina and the service is always perfect. Their Rib Eye is perfection defined. The taste is so terrific, you might find tears of pleasure streaming down your face. Yes, the steaks are that good. If I am ever within 50 miles, I make it a point to dine at City Range in either Greenville or Spartanburg. At one time there were plans to build a City Range in Asheville. What happened to that? Upon departing, I enjoy the little chocolate mint stick that arrives with the check. A special touch from a special restaurant.

City Range has become my "go to" place when I'm craving steak and don't want to drop $150 on dinner at Ruth's Chris or Chophouse. The steaks have great flavor, and the cuts of meat are always good. I recently went for Sunday brunch and ordered the Steak and Eggs with Citychurri sauce. It was delicious and an unbelievable value for $12.95. The prime rib and bone in ribeye are always great choices as well. My mouth is watering writing this review. Try Sunday brunch. Great values for the $.

This place looks like a chain from the outside, and looks like an old folks cafeteria on the inside. But the staff was very friendly and the food was good. Their crab cakes were mostly crab, not fried, and very tasty. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, and i was very happy. I walked out full. Would i recommend it? Over Arizona Steak house or Long Horn Steakhouse, absolutely. Over other places, maybe not. Prices were fair though.

City Range is a bit pricey, but one of my favorite places for a sit-down dinner in Greenville. It's located across from Haywood Mall, not far past the Starbucks when coming from 385. If you enjoy a delicious steak, I recommend the Black & Blue as your main course. Also, check out the volcano cake for dessert if you love chocolate. It takes about 15 minutes to create, but it's well worth the wait.

I was impressed upon walking in. It's like an upscale lodge, very homey and warm with the huge fireplace in the middle of the restaurant. The hostess staff was very kind and seated us immediately. I was impressed with the choices on the menu, which also has a lean and fit section. I ordered the beef medallions off this section, which comes with grilled veggies and a baked sweet potato. The beef was cooked perfectly, but the presentation was lacking with the limp, dried out veggies. I know when you're cooking without butter or oil it will affect this but it seemed like a little more effort could have been put into this to make it look more appetizing. The baked sweet potato tho, was perfect and I loved the butter, cinnamon and nuts mixture on the side. My hub's KC strip was a bit fatty but juicy and delicious. Our waiter was very discreet but helpful and didn't intrude into our space at all. All in all, a great deal especially with our Groupon. They also have what looks to be a fabulous bar area with a large, very long bar and lots of loungey areas in which to sit and enjoy. Looks like a great place to take a client or just to hang out with friends.
It was wonderful from the moment I walked in. Mimi the server directed me to the KC Rib Eye and it was very good. I highly recommend this place.

Very good service and very good food. I've been going to this place for about 5+ years. Wonderful unique menu, that doesn't feature the same standards as others. I frequently get their prime rib, always prepared exactly as I like. Their steaks are also wonderful. The employees seem to be long standing and learn their customers, which makes the visit more enjoyable, especially when they deliver the same standard of service repeatedly. The wait and bar staff are very professional. Definitely one of my favorites in Greenville.

The appetizers were outstanding. I had the tuna wontons and spinach dip and both were to die for. It was worth the trip alone to have these starters. Then the bread came hot and fresh will melted butter super good. I had the prime rib (outstanding horseradish sauce) and my partner had the filet. Both good not great expecting a little more based on it being a steak house. Most disappointing was the garlic mashed potatoes lacked flavor and were very stiff not creamy. Then dessert came and I was back in heaven again. The creme brûlée was delicious and creamy and the chocolate soufflé was warm and yummy. Overall great restaurant just expected a little more but would definitely go again if only for the appetizers!

What a bargain with good food, service atmosphere, and price! Went there with 3 other friends and we all had a great experience. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the service was spot on, and the price with the atmosphere was such a deal. We all said we would be back.

Just the ticket! YELPers you've done it again- recommended a great place to stuff my face. The atmosphere was great, eating alone they sometimes stick you at some little random table in the corner, they gave me a nice booth. Kevin provided great service and recommendations. The prime rib was perfectly cooked, with loaded baked potato and asparagus yum! Also had the largest bowl of creme brûlée. The prices fit right in my budget as well. Ill be bookmarking this place for future visits!!!
(5)Erin L.
Very disappointed! Spent $100 on a $50 (at best) meal. Everything about the visit was average. The food was neither fresh nor appetizing. We had high hopes but will not eat here again.
(2)Jim W.

(3)Sue M.

(5)Carolyn H.

(2)Tom D.
(3)Scott L.
8oz ribeye was almost paper thin. Gentleman next to me returned his NY strip. Not worth the money. Service was the only thing that was good.
(2)Shelly T.
(2)Sue F.
(2)Alex P.
(2)DeAnne M.

I was really impressed when I first walked through this restaurant. Nice central fireplace and relaxed spacious atmosphere. The food is well prepared and the flavors were on point.
(4)Matthew R.
(3)Denny B.
(4)Tameka A.
(5)Ashley M.
(3)Millie B.
(4)Joyce S.
First timer, reserved the table in front of fire place, hostess seemed some what confused on table and disoriented. Once seated, waiter was very professional. Food came out in timely manner and was good. Pricing on the high end. I would come back or suggest it.
(4)Britney S.

(2)Jeff W.
(3)Joe W.
(3)Frank M.
(2)Moonflower S.

(4)Lisa S.
(4)Joe P.

(4)Rebecca A.
(4)James J.
(4)Robert A.
One of my wife's favorite lunch places to eat. Food is consistently good. Nice bar.
(4)Joseph L C.
(5)Laura M.
(4)Robert T.
If you're in this area, this place is faster and better than Stax's.
(4)Hardy E.
Mediocre at best.
(2)Ariel L.
(3)Mike F.
(5)Edwin L.
Simply put great!!!!

(4)Jennifer R.
City Range is one of our favorites. We recently celebrated my husband's birthday there, as one of his all-time favorite appetizers is the garlic mussels. He has eaten two orders of the mussels before even starting on his entrée! I prefer the grilled brie plate with fresh fruit and foccacia. Entrée-wise, everything I've ordered there is good. I especially like the seafood pasta dishes (Shrimp Diavolo and Crab-Stuffed Shrimp) and of course their steaks (ribeye and sirloin). YUM!
(5)Scott N.
It was wonderful from the moment I walked in. Mimi the server directed me to the KC Rib Eye and it was very good. I highly recommend this place.
(4)C B.
Good place; a little rustic; food very good; service excellent.
(4)Bryce B.
Average.. The wait staff was nothing special along with the food ..while the plate presentation was creative it overshadowed everything else... for the price there are much better options..i honestly left wondering y we didnt just go to applebees

Very nice place. Good food, nice atmosphere, and at a reasonable price. The trout was very good.
