Good food nice and clean place but a bit dis-jointed. Greeted by a man who handed us menus, served water in styrofoam cups (yuk). But then we had to walk to counter to order and also to pay when we done. Handed us bill without asking if we wanted anything else.

Fresh made delicious everything! This was one of those rare finds. A small, quaint and unpretentious place that serves up complete yumminess with a smile. They have cold beer too! I had crab ball fritters, which were rolled in spaghetti noodles and deep fried with a ginger soy sauce, home made slaw that included tomato and cucumber and fresh thin sliced fried potato chips. I also had a cup of asparagus n shrimp cream soup with some buttered and herbed saltines. My wife had a portobello n shrimp signature sandwich with black eyed pea salad. Yes tea and soda is served in Styrofoam cups as well as the soup. Yes the bill was headed our way before I asked for another beer. So what. It was a pleasurable experience. I will go there again and I will take friends and family. Nothing on the menu was typical. It was a great spin on low country fare. Definitely kicked up a notch. Very clean, very pleasant.

Georgetown is full of great places for lunch. So much so that it's hard to stand out, but Atlantic House has no trouble doing so. Everything is excellent.

This was a new find for us in Georgetown. It is right across the street from the Saturday farmers market. We had lunch there starting with chilled Cucumber & Avocado Soup followed by a House Chopped Salad and Crab Balls with Slaw, House Made Chips and Ginger Soy Sauce. The accompanying iced tea, served in a foam cup, tasted like it was brewed as I prefer. The soup, despite being served in a styrofoam bowl, was excellent. Salad was fresh and featured black-eyed peas with an excellent dressing. It seemed unusual to have both cheddar and feta cheese on it, but every salad seems to get cheddar cheese in this region. The Crab Balls consisted of vermicelli mixed with crab and spices and flash fried. The crab content was good but the hit was the sauce. Slaw was also excellent as the mayonnaise content was restrained. Chips were great. Plates were ceramic but silverware was plastic. The place is small and was not crowded. We had an attentive server who gave excellent service. You receive the bill at the table but pay at the counter. We will return to try the House Made ice creams.

This place is outstanding. Nothing like it in this area. Service makes you feel as at ease as if you were eating at home. The entire restaurant is ridiculously clean. I got the signature sandwich- shrimp, goat cheese, and portobello mushroom with pasta salad. Zero complaints, so refreshing to have a different option.

If you haven't been to Atlantic House then you are missing a treat. The food is amazing, the service is personal whether you are a local or not and there isn't anything on the menu that shouldn't be 5 stars. This is a must try in Georgetown, try it once and YOU WILL be back.

This place is quaint and delicious, with classic Southern dishes. Try any of the dishes with grits-- you won't be disappointed.

I have no idea why someone would list this as exclusively a burger place. First and foremost, it is a seafood restaurant, featuring sea creatures from up and down the Atlantic seaboard, including a good number of seafood clearly caught in South Carolina. We got their fried softshell crab sandwich, two Georgetown fried oyster sandwiches, and the oyster corn cake, with the black-eyed pea salad, coleslaw, and housemade chips. Everything was delicious, and perfectly cooked. It's rare to see softshell crab on a menu, and my sandwich was a true treat. The oyster sandwiches were tasty, and the oyster corn cake was fried beautifully. The sandwiches came on bread that suited the sandwiches well: they held up to the seafood but were not a chore to gnaw through. The slaw was fresh and crisp and the housemade chips fantastic. Sure, there are a good number of other items on the menu--a fun variety of hot dogs and hamburgers--but do yourself a favor and get their seafood. They had an impressive specials list (that's where the softshell crab and oyster corn cakes were) and also make their own ice cream and pies (peach-praline pie, and peach-raspberry ice cream caught my eye--those are for a return trip though!). If you need to eat lunch in Georgetown, go here. Seriously. Do it.
