Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

First, let me point out that they changed the name to Margarita's. Second, besides the name they didn't change a thing and I am so glad! I love this place so much! I eat here at least twice a month which is significant because I generally only eat out once a week. I love the beef fajitas, they are my favorite. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and I have never had to wait or want for anything.

Great place for lunch! The chips and salsa are very addicting. I also enjoyed their colorful table and chair art.

So we went here on our way to Florida. All of our items we doused in strange red sauce. We were disappointed.

Very good Mexican food I had the lunch beef fajitas. The beef was very tender and tasty. It was a very large portion and under $8.00. The salsa was very good they give you hot and mild with the chip's.

Sorry.. Mi Tierra is not even in La Bamba's ball park when it comes to taste, quality, and atmosphere. Best Mexican in Florence!

Best food value in Florence. Ate there for lunch today. I had the special which was steak burrito for $4.99. It came with salad, beans, and rice. The waiter let me sub extra beans for no rice. The food was great, the servings large, and the waiter was very attentive. I'll definitely go back for the La Bamba fajitas. The didn't have decaf coffee and I hope that they start carrying it.

Great Mexican place. More variety on the menu than most, and dedicated employees who have been there for many years. Fajita nachos are a treat. A dish not everyone knows about that is nice is pollo boraccho, chicken in a tangy red sauce. Beef chimichangas and fajitas are always a good starting point. Don't forget dessert, the flan is great. La Bamba is always good at handling small children. Soccer always on televisions.

Absolutely great. Ordered my usual chicken stuffed Poblanos. Asked them to swap out the refried beans for some veggies. They did without question and actually created a new dish by spreading the veggies across the main dish. The result was fantastic. I greatly appreciated the originality. Great place to eat. I will be back.

In my opinon, there is no better mexican restaurant. The food is incredible and so are the portions (I love any place where I can share a meal with my daughter, I feel like I'm getting a really good deal that way) The wait staff is very attentive and curtious. Its a family friendly enviroment. Love. Love. Love!

Solid three stars. I had the fajitas con queso and it was delicious. Hubs had the # 15 and wasn't as lucky. The chile relleno wasn't seasoned very well and lacked cheese. The salsa served with the chips was excellent! The darker red one has a nice kick and fresh cilantro, yum! We found it mildly disconcerting that there were no dishes offered with chorizo, sigh.

Love La Bamba. Tried a new dish on the menu tonight--Bamba Fajitas. Chicken, chorizo, onion, peppers, pineapple, and cheese served in a fresh pineapple on a sizzling platter. The presentation was great, and the taste was also great. One order could easily serve two people. Will definitely have this dish again!

Go to Mi Tierra on the corner of Celebration and Palmetto. La Bamba (both locations) don't cut it for me. Steak fajitas are often dry and overcooked, and the fajita skillet has too many veggies and not enough meat :( I've been relatively unimpressed with their service as well. Their rice tasted like stale dried up dog food, and I'm sick of restaurants around here passing this junk off as food!!! GRRRR.

Good food, good prices, typical decor. We like it and it's our go to Mexican spot in Florence.

This is the best mexican restaurant around! Trust me, I have an obsession with mexican food! Try the Pineapple fajitas!

There is no need to spend several paragraphs on this place. Mexican joints are a dime a dozen in Florence but this is always my go to whenever I get the craving for some Mexican fare. I have been here many times and most recently this past weekend. The chips and salsa are good and the hot salsa will torch the tongues of any unsuspecting diners. I love hot and spicy flavors so this isn't a big problem for me. Service is always fast and the food usually excellent (although like any other Mexican restaurants the quality can vary from night to night). The one gripe I have is that there doesn't seem to be a dedicated waiter for each table. Whoever passes the table at any given time provides what you need. Usually not a problem unless your drink glass is empty and you ignored my earlier warning about the hotness of their salsa. I recommend this place to any Florentine wanting some good Mexican food.
