Music, food, pond/lake Creek Ratz had good live music when visited on Sunday. Fried fish platter was ample with a light batter, the burger had good flavor and was not dry for being well done, shrimp po-boy with the popcorn shrimp was okay. Would have rather seen larger shrimp, but it okay. Bread was a little much. The fish poboy was on point with the breading, amount and season. Funny thing was the bread in the fish poboy was better than the shrimp. Waffle fries were well prepared. Service and atmosphere was down home and friendly.

One of the first restaurant/bar in town we ate at after moving to Florence. A great chill/hangout place with an outdoor patio with live band. Love the fried shrimp platter and the fish and chips. The service is great however they so need to improve on a faster service.

Ridiculously awful. Servers are too young. Food is not any better than McDonalds. Sat for an hour without food. This place will be closing soon.

Nice atmosphere, good service, however our food (trio basket) was mediocre and our chicken wings were undercooked. We kept having to reorder drinks because the waitress didn't know they didn't carry a particular type. The drinks we did get were disgusting and the manager didn't offer us a replacement after she asked us how was everything. What's the point in asking if you're not going to try and keep your customer satisfied. Maybe just a bad night for the bartender and cook but I didn't enjoy my time there at all.

Just walked in and got a drink, great atmosphere which is what I was looking for being from out of town. Big crowd for a Wed night and also has live music. Laid back, enjoying the evening, and I am sure the food will be good as well. I hate going to the chains, great local flavor!

My husband and I decided to stop in we haven't been there in quite a while nothing had changed food was awful we order the fish and chips. If you want to go somewhere and just hang out and have a few drinks and listen to music then this is your place if you want to go somewhere and have a nice meal don't bother. The food was worse than eating at McDonalds!

Went in for lunch recently. With at least one prior negative/mediocre experience in the past, I wanted to give them another try. With only one other table occupied at monk, I was disappointed with the lack of service. The disappointment in service paled in comparison to the disappointment at the food. Greasy, over-seasoned, and just not good. There are a number of places in close proximity I will hit instead.

Simply review....do not waste your time. Service was terrible, if you are not a regular then forget it. Food awful, the wings were old tasting almost like someone before us ordered them and changed their minds so they re cooked them for us. Well not try again

Maybe because it is off the beaten path for lunch, but I was in the area today at 12:30 and the hunger pains were out of control. Turned in, hoping they were open for lunch. And they were. Not busy, a few others having lunch. Great burger with homemade chips. More chips than anyone can handle and the burger was tasty and fresh. Next time you need a change of pace or atmosphere for lunch take the time and drive and head over. Service was fast and great.

Maybe because we got there early enough, but we were seated quickly, Drinks and order done quickly and very politely. Great sounding menu, but that's where it ended. I shared their trio basket with the wife... Shrimp, oysters, and fish. Basic flour batter on all. The oysters were huge and I got 6 of them. Fish was meh, as were the shrimp. Not bad, easily edible, but just not a lot of flavor in the mix. If they took a few minutes to add some flavor, it could be a solid dish for the money because portions were plenty to feed us both.doubt I would hunt this place down again but I have hopes it improves and keeps rockin' because with a name like Creek Ratz, it needs to stick around.

Great live music! Tonight's band was wonderful! Great place to grab a drink and hang out with friends. The outside area offers games and a nice deck overlooking the water. I really enjoy the atmosphere and I plan to visit again soon. The food is average but the staff is very friendly. I feel good about the three stars as an overall rating.

The place was pretty busy, so we had to sit upstairs (1 of the only 2 tables up there). This concerned me b/c I figured we'd be forgotten about-and that turned out to be true. My hubby, and 3 kids and I went. We ordered our drinks and food, burger, app sampler, and kids macncheese. After 20mins we got our drinks, which were never refilled. After 45mins we got our food. The food was pretty mediocre at best. Nothing to rave about, and kids macncheese was just box cheap macncheese. I had to seek out our waitress down stairs to ask for our bill and refill on drink. Very disappointing. I'll never go back.

Horrible. Overpriced, low portions, bad service, and something in my food that was not edible. Be careful when eating is all I have say. No manager to be seen. Just awful. Would give it no stars if I could.

Any basic English class in high school teaches the literary technique of foreshadowing. So I should have suspected since this was a cloudy evening with thunderstorms brewing in the distance that this would be a rocky dining experience. I have been in Florence for two years and driven by this place hundreds of times but never had the gumption to stop. I am glad now that I didn't. We decided to head here for a work social gathering on a weeknight around 6:30. We immediately walked in and when we asked for a table of 10 they looked at us like we were a lowly traveling gypsy clan with tuberculosis. We were immediately informed that all the tables inside were taken and that if we wanted to dine we would have to eat outside on the deck (cue a thunderclap). I am not sure what their reservation policy is but I didn't know you could have a whole restaurant booked up just about every night of the week. They even had a sign on their door that said that the restaurant was unavailable on Saturday after 3:30 pm for a "private party". If I was a frequent patron of this place I would be royally pissed off trying to figure out which nights I could or couldn't dine there. We moved our group to the outside and had to wait 5-10 minutes before being noticed. The waitresses there seemed to share a collective brain and for the most part the waitress at our table at any given time didn't possess it. Service was slow and discombobulated. The waitstaff wasn't rude but they also didn't seem apologetic for their ineptitude. We got our food after waiting around 30 minutes (but one member of our party didn't get her food until almost an hour after she ordered). Since this place is perpetually crowded they can't really use that as an excuse for the long wait. Now on to the food. I ordered a blackened fish sandwich which was beyond pitiful. A very small cut of fish that was dry and flavorless. The bread probably made up 90% of the sandwich and was every bit as dry as the fish. I was waiting for my sandwich to spontaneously combust in the hot sun.The fries were salty and cold. I was almost hoping the thunderstorm would douse us with water as this may have added moisture to the bread and made the fries palatable. I left half my fries on the plate. I reluctantly ate the sandwich since I abhor having to waste food. Bottom line on this place is that it needs to be seen as a bar and entertainment hub only. Well maybe just a entertainment hub since the best friend had a margarita that tasted like mop water. I won't be back here anytime soon and if you are craving some seafood you shouldn't either. Head further down Cashua and grab a Filet-O-Fish from the McDonald's and a Budweiser from the gas station for a better night.

There was an insane, awful "music" trio blaring away under the outside tent the night we stopped in here for dinner. The outside was packed with 60-somethings getting drunk and dancing. It was so freakin' loud. We got a table inside. The service was fine--but don't apply to be a server here if you're a dude--100% of the 10 or so we saw were college girls wearing shorts-overalls. Not a good look for most guys. I'm guessing they don't hire any to be servers. This is the cheapest place in the immediate area, so if you're looking to eat cheaply, this is your best bet. But choose wisely when you order. The crab cakes were 90% cake and 10% shredded crab. The famous honey butter that comes with the hush puppies was actually little tubs of Land O Lakes whipped soybean oil. The fish nuggets were funky little globs of what I hope was mostly batter, because if it was fish, it was wrong.

This place is a fairly standard bar really. I went there with a few friends and we ended up ordering a few drinks and some appetizers. The appetizers were standard bar foods that require no talent to cook (cheese sticks and nachos). I can't say anything about the other menu items but the appetizers were definitely nothing special. They have live music here which can be fun or terrible depending on the band. The drinks were alright but it's hard to mess up beer. If you're looking for a bar this is about as good a place as any.

Good place to meet friends for a cold beer , cocktails and fried seafood. Sit outside or inside. Volleyball in the sand on site and usually a friendly game going on. Food is average.
