this place was my favorite spot during my childhood. access to the lake is great . i dont like how money hungry the new ownders are, and they should really try to cater more to familes and have more things to do. but this is a good place if you want to spend some camping time with the family and play on the water. go fishing, sometimes have a few good concerts and they have bands most summer weekends. go with a group and camp together! but dont get to rowdy at night! there is a small store that the hours are sketchy, but they have basic necessities. but there is a small grocery chain (IGA) in Eutawville not to far away. and when you are here you MUST MUST go to Sweatman's BBQ near Holly Hill on Friday night (get there early!) You will not be disappointed! the campground has several bath houses. but be sure to wear flip flops. if you have boat trouble the marine place is on the road to the campground and he is great. he is reasonably priced

I enjoyed my stay here for a few days. But I was here during the week and it was so quiet. I was right next to the water. Just beautiful. They say on weekends it gets very crowded and noisy, but I didn't have any of that. A lot of full timers in the back. The dogs and I were able to take nice long walks. Nice and restful. And there were rabbits everywhere.

The campground has plenty of spaces to accommodate close to 550 sites. Be sure to bring your own shade. If you enjoy swimming, the lake is plenty big enough to accommodate lots of people. Be aware that no lifeguard is available. As in any big campground your sites are very close together. During holidays and weekends in the summer they are going to be crowded so don't expect any privacy. Be sure to keep track of your children since this is a big campground. Even though you are camping there are several good restaurants in the local area such as Chef's Choice, Bell's and the Alpine. The Alpine delivers but you have to register with them by going there first. If you are hankering for a delicious ice cream (soft serve) then check out The Twirl in Eutawville. The campground has a small store for incidental items priced for convenience. If you need more than a bottle of ketchup, there is a IGA grocery store about 7 miles away in Eutawville.

This place is the redneck riviera of golf carts. Many of these sites are permanent campers. Management needs to enforce clean sites. Many have sheds, jet skis, 2 & 3 Golf Carts, patio heaters, and just junk on their sites. Many also are clean and well groomed. Rules state no one under age 16 without a driver's license allowed to drive golf carts. We seen children all day and evening long as young as 5 years old running all over in these golf carts. These golf cart rules are a joke and it's a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt due to lack of enforcing golf cart rules. I can see where families with smaller children would like this place. It is large and a lot to keep the kids entertained. Rules state no pools on camp sites, we seen 3 pools also brought out. Large blow up slides and jump castles on camp sites. If you want privacy, this is not the place. At times of the day we seen 50 golf carts all cruising around. Big time traffic jams of golf carts as no one here walks. Loud stereos blaring from these golf carts. Coolers packed full of beer and everyone drinking. Bring a wobble hand to put on the back of your lawn chair because your hand is constantly up waving over and over to all these going by. No privacy anytime in this campground. Quiet time states at 11:30pm on your own site. I was outside at 3am and golf carts full of kids out running around up to no good. Theft of anything left outside is a problem here. We were told, do not leave anything outside. Kids are trolling all night long stealing the coolers looking for beer or whatever. Behind the stage on the last row is the kids hang out. Constant golf carts going back there with the kids to smoke there dope and lots of underage drinking going on. If you camp back close to this stage, expect to breath weed all afternoon and evening. Main gates are locked down at 9pm. If you're out later, and didn't get a key for a $20 deposit before you left out of there, your SOL and not getting back inside the property past 9pm. They claim to have WiFi. This too is also a major joke. They charge $8.50 per day for WiFi and you have to go sit at the office to get a connection. No cellphone service on Verizon at all. So plan to stay here with no internet or cell service your entire stay. No refunds will be given once you get in here and figure out how bad it is. If you're an inside the trailer person, this place will not bother you. Being older, our group was miserable here. The absolutely no privacy is the main problem. Even getting up and going outside for coffee at 6am there is a golf cart rolling by stopping to chat. Folks are friendly here which is a good thing, but it's just constant nonstop which gets annoying. The picnic tables are old and falling apart. Some sites do not even have a table, there for you have to steal one from another empty site and haul it to yours for use. Fires only in fire rings. The fire rings are very few also. They do offer golf cart rentals at $80 per day. These rental golf carts are old and need to be junked. They are not worth $10 per day. Have sun glasses for night time if you plan to sit outside as these golf carts that do run there headlights will blind you. Many run around with no lights and run over rabbits who live threw out the park after dark. Good luck if you book your stay here. Like I said, for children it is a okay place. Adults, not so much. We will never return here nor will I recommend this to any of my friends and family who all camp and travel threw out the United States.

It has beautiful scenery and I loved the view of the lake. They have lots of bunnies around. I saw beautiful trailers lots of activities, boating docks, and a small beach. Well manicured lawns, beach properly cleaned and lots of golf carts.

The owners of the campground are Rude and not people friendly and if you complain on the campground itself they take it personal. I would not camp here at all the water is nasty and the bathroom toilets stay stopped up its more less a redneck drunkfest ! But go see for yourself.
