While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

First time trying pizza in the south. It was pretty good, the sauce on it was tasty and it was nicely cooked through. Someone with us ordered eggplant parm and the sauce on that was good also. I ordered greek potatoes and it had some kind of tomato sauce on it. Not used to eating it that way, so I didn't know if was a regional version from Greece. Always had the lemon juice and oregano on previous orders. Regardless, it wasn't bad. Will definitely go back and try one of the pasta dishes, Staff was friendly as well. Nice little place.

My wife and I LOVE this place! The food is fantastic! Thief chicken souvlaki plate is something to behold. They must put crack in it or something! Oh, and the tzatziki is perfect... Not too dilly or too cucumbery. We've never had the pizza because we always get the souvlaki, but it looks and smells great. Maybe we'll try the pizza next time.

The food is good! Pizza is good and gyro is good too. I took off one star because I think the place needs to be expanded. It was way too packed in there, so much that about 6 people were waiting out side in The cold And it was only 6:30. I know it's costly but it will be well worth it when the customers come rolling through.

My family and I go here all the time for gyro's to pizza to traditional Italian food. Everything is so good tasting and the prices are great too. You can always find a table so you don't have to wait which is always a plus with children.

Wasn't real impressed. First time getting anything here. Ordered a Gyro meal. The sauce was not good at all! Very little meat. Pulled up to the drive thru to get my food and the girl at the window decided that he needed to visit with her friend who was already passed the window when she stuck her body out to holler at her. Finally, I chose the drive thru because I smoke. I had my cigarette in my hand on the passenger side of the car with the window down and was told next time not to smoke. Not sure I would go back.

Very good food, great service waitress was wonderful. Good Italian food from this northerner! Small place but worth it!

Yum! We get takeout pizza here regularly. It's always so good and they are fast if you call ahead! This is the best pizza in NE Columbia. I wish we would have known about it sooner!

Yum. We went for lunch and enjoyed their stromboli (my husband and I shared it) and I ordered a side salad. They weren't packed and service and food were decently quick. They are pretty pricey for the quantity of food and my salad left much to be desired. It was iceberg lettuce, one ring of red onion, a quarter of a quarter of a thin slice of red pepper, two small slices of a cucumber and crackers. It was served on a small plate and it made the plate look big. For $5 I expected a little bit more. My husband and I can usually share most entrees at restaurants and there is just no way at this place. The stromboli, although tasty, was so small, it just wasn't possible. And I believe it was $10. We'll go back...just won't be a regular spot.

Staff was super friendly and we were seated and served quickly. The pizza we ordered was good and my wife loved the crust. A great place for families and they have outside seating.

What a great choice! My wife and I agonized over where to eat lunch and wound up at Pontiac House of Pizza. I had the chicken soulvaki and my wife had a stomboli (sp). Both were outstanding. I will definitely be returning soon. I feel like I've found a gem or diamond in the rough that everyone doesn't know about yet. Service was friendly, food came out in a reasonable amount of time and because how good it tasted I would have waited longer to eat. No complaints. 5 stars not because it's a great looking expensive steak house but because it's a family owned restaurant with years of providing great services, good prices and great food. WILL BE BACK SOON.

Excellent pizza. Great service. Wait staff was timely. Could tell ingredients were fresh. Mushrooms tasted like they just picked them out back. Took me back to Italy. Would make any Italian Plumber happy. -Mario and Luigi

I liked the authentic Italian feeling I got when I walked inside. We had a friendly waitress that checked on us only when we needed it. We ordered a pizza and it came out hot and fresh. The pizza was delicious and had a unique crust that was great.

Regular spot for us. Love that you can pick up take out food at the drive thru. House dressing on their greek salad is the best. Other favorites -- super sub, lasagna, country pasta, philly cheese steak subs and the gyros. Biggest complaint is that the food varies each time we get it. I.e. the pasta dishes will come with plenty of sauce one time and hardly any at all the next. Sometimes subs have a good amount of meat...sometimes not enough. Expansion for this place should definitely be in the works...it has been overcrowded at dinner time for years

Everything on the menu is good but the Stromboli is my favorite! Good service! Small place so you might have to wait. It's worth it if your sick of all the regular chain restaurants!

This place is small but extremely friendly. Weekend nights will be crowded with a wait but the food and service are worth it. Basic pizza/Greek/Italian fare all made fresh! A little noisy and kids are welcome.

This place is good. Service is great. Atmosphere is comfortable. No complaints here and I highly suggest it.

Good food. Pizza, Gyros, Spaghetti. Good service. Can get a little crowded at certain times, but definitely worth going to. Same menu basically as Bobby's House of Pizza (which is also excellent) but here they serve alcohol.

Authentic, fresh and delicious! I have traveled both to Italy and Greece and Saki's food is equal to anything there. In my opinion Pontiac House of Pizza has "THE" best pizza in Columbia. It is consistently good, reasonable and family friendly. The menu has a nice variety from subs and pizza to classic Italian and Greek dishes. There is also a special of the day to choose from. I must say in all the years that I've been eating here I've never been disappointed. Don't forget to have dessert!

I was really craving greek so my husband and I decided to try this place out. I had a traditional gyro and my husband had the spaghetti. If my review was based on the gyro alone, it would have been five stars easily, but my husband's spaghetti was just okay. The gyro was simply delicious. I've tried many and I can honestly say this is one of the best I've tasted, which is funny to me considering we're in the south. It also came with a side greek salad which was also very good. We definitely will be coming back again for the Greek food, but not too sure about the Italian. Update: The pizza is also very delicious! Pontiac House of Pizza is definitely our go-to place for yummy gyros and pizza!

We drive by this place all the time but never stop because the parking lot is constantly packed. Well, we finally got a chance to eat here, and we are definitely fans. The service and the food were both very good. We prefer our pizza a little more well done/crisp than what was served, so now we know to ask for that next time. They do have specials each night, but we stuck with pizza and bruschetta for this visit. The restaurant is a little small on the inside, but its a local mom & pop place, so thats to be expected.

I didn't try the pizza, but friends who live there in Columbia, SC said it's great. Little hole in the wall place in between all the growth of the area. They serve up pizza, calzones and various Italian and Greek dishes with a few random American dishes thrown in. Not a bad visit, except the service could have been a bit more attentive. The ziti was great and everyone commented on their dishes being good as well, such as the combination spaghetti and chicken parmessan. Their house salad with Greek dressing was great. I'd go back when in the area so if you're in the Columbia area give it a shot!

This place is SO good. Awesome pizza, great service, and a "diner" type of atmosphere. It's a local place and I prefer to support locally owned businesses. They're always busy, which is a good sign. We passed them every day for a year and I kept telling my husband, "I bet that's one of those small, hole-in-the-wall places that's REALLY good" and we finally went. I was right. REALLY cheap prices and great food! Can't wait to go back often.

I grew up in Pontiac and the food has always been fantastic. The staff is usually friendly as well. Unfortunately, the owner is extremely rude and has spoken to several patrons, including myself in a non-professional manner. He is all about the money with no regard for the persons helping him to gain it.
