We had breakfast here and breakfast at a restaurant is never really that impressive. The egg sandwich was delicious, filling, and packed full of toppings with a side of choice (have to get the grits). We were impressed! Especially because it was the same price as a value meal at McDonald's, but it was MUCH better.

The food is pretty good. I had the seafood platter, and the shrimp and fish in particular were tasty and tender. Unfortunately, they kind of run the place on the cheap. The tables are too small, the plates are cruddy, they don't bring cocktail or tartar sauce unless you ask, and boy oh boy do they ever need central air the summer months. (Sorry, the fans aren't cutting it.) It very quickly gets too crowded and too hot. People deserve a better dining experience.

Awesome food!! Drinks served in adorable mason jars! The southern sweet tea was really good :) house made chicken tenders were breaded perfectly and the house made bbq sauce was so so so good! Hubby enjoyed his shrimp po boy which was also perfectly breaded and not heavy. We ended our lunch date sharing a house made, hot brownie Sunday covered in chocolate and caramel sauce!

The food is delicious! You must try the Oyster Rockefeller, you will be doing yourself a favor, and the home made cheesecake was wonderful. The food was made from scratch, not frozen. They put real love into their cooking. The owners are great people and made the dining experience so nice. I know that I will be going back and real soon.

I've been coming to CJs since they opened and it's great food and the service is excellent. Breakfast is always great and the dinners are also excellent. The prime rib is outstanding. The owner, when he is around always comes out and walks around and talks to everyone. He's really nice and laid back and also cooks the food. Prices are also very reasonable. Bottom line, it's a great place to eat.

Had an amazing dinner party at the Bowen House catered by CJs. The beef tenderloin melted in my mouth. The decorated the venue looked like a historic SC home and had a rich but small town feel. Loved the hors de vors and dessert table. Thanks so much.

Used to like this place very much. Food quality has gone down considerably. Morning server has a lousy attitude and the food has gotten inedible when the owner is cooking. Don't criticize or send food back if there's a problem! You will get nothing but attitude and no apology or attempt to make it right. We definitely won't go back, there are too many other cleaner, more friendly and hospitable places to eat with much better food and more accommodating staff. We won't be surprised if this place is closed within six months.

You don't come here for the atmosphere, you come because the food is so good. The staff is friendly and the owner/chef has always checked to see if we were happy. I've only had fried shrimp and fried oysters. I haven't tried the steaks. The oysters were the best (next to mom's) I've ever had! The shrimp were local, (SC local) lightly floured and fried to perfection. You have to try the cheesecake....whichever flavor is available....it's great!

Best prime rib I've ever eaten. Food and atmosphere are great. My issue was I had a blow fly under my food and the attitude was nonchalant no big deal. I wanted to puke!! I was told it happens cause it's a seafood restaurant.
