We stopped on our way to the Greenville airport. (7 miles) This was a good find! The restaurant is under new ownership as of January 1,2015. Logan was wonderful! Delicious BBQ, great family atmosphere, real southern hospitality. We would highly recommend if traveling through Duncan.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Everything is delicious. Most of the staff is very friendly. They have the best macaroni & cheese I've ever had.

A sometimes hit in place when I am in the area. It's better than 3-stars but not 4-stars IMO. Everything is good, just not outstanding. meats are smoked. I always get their pork, I've not had their ribs. Maybe I'll give that a try sometime. Worth the stop if you are in the area, wouldn't drive out of the way

We had eaten Sims barbecue at a catered event. So when the opportunity came to go to their local restaurant we went. The same excellent quality we had had at the catered event was also at the restaurant. The prices are extremely reasonable and the food quality was very good. Everyone in the store was very nice.

Stopped in today, met the owner and asked for her recommended sides with the pork plate.....fries & sweet potato casserole was the answer. So I had the the above & it was delicious. All of the sauces are hand made along with the sides and it shows in the taste quality! The comments about the pork being dry seem unwarranted in my opinion, the pork is lean so sans the grease on the plate that accompanies the average Q joint. Since a loved the plate so much at had to do a tasty test of the banana pudding......Home run. If I had to give any feedback, as a regular southern Q taster in my travels, I love hush puppies with pulled pork and many Carolina joints use them as bait for the Q addicts like myself.

Meat was good. Sides not so much...no Brunswick stew? Cole slaw, hubby said it was the worse he ever had, but he did say the wings were the best he ever had. Clean. Nice folks. Comfortable environment.

Excellent beef brisket on a big soft char grilled bun. They cook it over 17 hours on the smoker in the back, and it's the juiciest I've ever had. Really great mac and cheese with great flavor in a variety of cheeses. Super sweet tea and courteous friendly service. Stopped in late on a Friday evening just before closing and got a gratis sample of white chocolate banana pudding. Holeee smokes. Mmmmmmmm good! They had just sold out of their last rack of ribs so I guess I have a great excuse to come back. See you soon Sims...

Had lunch at sims. Ordered the brisket sandwich plate (large). BBQ tasted delicious! Great friendly staff. Also had the vanilla chocolate banana pudding which was great. Sat on the front porch to eat. Overall, the food is good and people are hospitable. If you are in the area, stop in at least for the pudding.

We decided to try Sims BBQ, not sure what all the hype is about. I had pulled pork/chicken plate, meat was dry, sides weren't that good, not to mention the place was hot/humid and sticky (seemed dirty). The employees were out working in the garden, came in to take our order, then returned outside (yuck). Don't think we'll return.

Had pulled pork sandwich potato salad and baked beans.sweet tea to drink and banana pudding for desert. Meat was ok. Would have been better if I had some kc master piece sauce or sweet baby rays' but baked beans taste like they were spoiled, and potatoe salad did not like. Some kind of weird spice was in it. And in banana pudding need bananas. Not white chocolate.Oh yea tea was ok also.

I go to Sims often for lunch. The service is good and fast. The bbq is always excellent. I normally get the pulled pork sandwich but have tried nearly everything on the menu. I haven't been disappointed yet. Good food and good service, what else do you need?

Not good. Don't know if it's normal or if it was just us, but all our food was cold and my son's burger had two smashed butt side pieces of bread. Review edited because restaurant wasn't responsible for the attitudes of its other customers.

Good naked pork here - with good sauces. Good sides, too. A must-go place when I'm in the Spartanburg area. Just a plain old good BBQ joint.

In town for business and the only BBQ place in town was closed on Saturday night...never heard of a restaurant that is closed on a Saturday night.

I just happened to be riding by Sims at lunchtime yesterday and saw their sign. I thought "I love BBQ, so why not try it?" Wow! Was I pleasantly surprised. I consider myself a barbecue afficionado and don't tolerate BBQ done bad, so I don't just lightly toss around compliments to BBQ cooks. I have no problem saying that Sims has some of the best BBQ that I've ever eaten! And, I have eaten it all over S.C and N.C. The ribs were tender and tasty with just the right amount of smoke. The pulled pork was moist and tasty with no fat and gristle and had a little bark included, which is my favorite part. I was almost full when Chuck came to my table and asked if I had tried his beef brisket. I told him that I didn't like brisket very much, because I'd never had any that wasn't dry and tough. He brought me some of his pulled brisket and I thought I must be in BBQ heaven. It was moist, tender and smoked just right. I will drive to Duncan as often as I can to have more of this wonderful BBQ. I'd advise you to go, too, if you REALLY like GOOD BBQ!

I had pork, a brisket sandwich, beans, and fried okra. Everything was just OK except the brisket sandwich, which was really good. I didn't really like any of the sauce offerings, they were all too vinegary for my tastes, but at least they were all on the side and not pre-slathered onto the meat. I wanted to try the mac'n'cheese, but they were sold out by the time I got there (6:00 PM).

Best bbq in Duncan!! Ribs, chicken (roasted & grilled), hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken fingers. They have pies: pecan, blackberry & Apple, all homemade! Sides are homemade too: fries, hush puppies, green beans, mac n' cheese, sweet potato casserole, okra, onion rings, bbq beans, potato salad, Cole slaw....you will not be disappointed!!! Delicious to the last bite!!
