What fantastic food Fatz Cafe has. Had their chicken strips with cheese grits on the side - some of the best strips I've ever had. Also, get the grits as a side. They are AWESOME, and I (formerly) wasn't too big of a grit fan. The Caesar salad with the meal was really, really good. Gotta love the poppy seed rolls they bring out - quite addicting! One note for those (like me) who don't know what Fatz Cafe is - think Ruby Tuesday meets Applebee's to form a restaurant, serving real southern delicious food. I wasn't expecting something as nice as it was, just by the name. Also, the GM, Linda, came around to talk to us, like most managers tend to do. However, she really went the extra mile for us - sat down with us and helped us find other Fatzs on our route (being from Florida, we don't necessarily have the ability to come here often), told us a bit about Fatz overall, and really seemed to be dedicated to her job. She seems to run the restaurant quite well and we'll definitely be back next year!!

I moved to Conway a while back and always drive past this place. Decided to stop and had their calabash shrimp and chicken strips. The chicken was pretty bland and slightly undercooked. Their definition of Mac and cheese is interesting in the worst way (shell pasta with shredded cheese sprinkled on top of it. I'd rather eat at the taco bell down the road

Friendly staff and good food--what more can you ask for? Their fried fish is amazing and you'll love the free poppy seed rolls they bring out. My only complaint has been about the unruly children whose parents seem to go on the same nights I do. One of my absolute favorite places to eat ever.

Great service and great food. Our waitress was really great, Allie really was on top of things and took care of us. A must stop on our yearly trip to Myrtle Beach.

Let me start by saying this is a corporate steak house chain and I am more of a mom and pops restaurant frequenter. That being said, they have good service (at my particular local Fatz Conway, SC) and decent food ( I am not easily impressed being as I studied to become a chef before I took a different career path, and like most people would say "they don't cook like Grammy used too." no one can). I have tried several things on their menu and they are on par or exceed the competition in this area, their tea is very good ( this is important to a southerner such as myself), and the stone ground cheese grits are probably the best thing on the menu in my humble opinion. One big plus is you do not have to go to the beach to get there, they are located right on 501 between the the Walmart area and most of the fast food chains just down the road. So on a scale of 1-5 1 being poor 5 being excellent. Food 3.5 Service 4.2 Location 4 Atmosphere 3 Price 3 Average 3.5 definitely check them out if you want a decent steak with good grits and some really good sweet tea, and do not want to go to the beach.

Stopped here tonight for a quick supper. I got the calabash chicken with seasoned vegetables. The chicken was great, never had bad chicken from here. I got the baked potato soup. Nothing special. My side was the seasonal vegetables, which were low on flavor. My lady got the Parmesan chicken pasta, which she said the chicken was good, but the pasta was flavorless. The rolls where also a little over cooked. The highlight of our visit was our waitress, Brooke. She was very nice and attentive. Couldn't have asked for better service.

The food was dry and tasteless. My youngest son lives for burgers and Mac and cheese and he would not even touch it. The service was terrible and the waitress treated us like we were a bother. We had lots left over to bring home but left it. Overpriced food and just not worth it.

Tonight was a cold night so we thought we would order soup to go from Fatz. we haver never tried this place. The Vegetable soup was totally bland and the loaded potato.... what a joke. It was basically milk with a few potatoes thrown in. The bacon and cheese and chives were on the side to add. Horrible. Will not be willing to try this place again.

I was happy to see a billboard on my way to Conway SC letting me know a Fatz Cafe was in the area. I arrived soon after the 11 a.m. opening and was politely greeted & seated. I was served by Lucy, who was incredibly friendly and efficient not just with me, but with all of her customers. She offered me the opportunity to sign up for their email club, and mentioned that the club offered discounts including one for your birthday. I mentioned that I should have signed up in advance because it WAS my birthday! For lunch I ordered the stacked chicken (chicken breast with ham, bacon & cheese) and a side of stone ground grits. It was served with those wonderful poppy seed rolls. I love the grits at Fatz - I think I could make a meal out of the grits & the rolls! Great meal served quickly with a nice side of pleasant conversation from Lucy. I was also served a complementary strawberry shortcake dessert for my birthday. FATZ CAFE - please open a location in Raleigh!!!

Great food quality here, BUT ONLY IF u are dinning in... Their ToGo service is slack, to say the least... This is ESPECIALLY true during their lunch hours. I've personally sat outside SEVERAL TIMES for OVER 10 minutes! One time, during my extended outside wait, I had the pleasure of watching the manager negotiate an "acceptable" time for their cook to come in to work... Then, AFTER SEEING ME parked CLEARLY in the ToGo ONLY spot, he goes back inside & STILL NO ONE comes out for the NEXT 10 min!! Eventually, before my starvation set in, I went inside, to personally pick up my "CURB-SIDE" ToGo order, ONLY to see my food sitting on the ToGo counter, while 4 employees were watching A FOOTBALL GAME and continuing to ignore me (A PAYING CUSTOMER, 1 of many, which keep them in business & employed!) Eventually after an additional 10 min, and a few idle threats to just TAKE MY FOOD & leave, the proper personnel came to take my payment. My recommendation is for MANAGEMENT HERE to better MANAGE their employees more like their superior and less like their friend!! & my suggestion for ANY potential new consumers is to DINE-IN, OR BE FORCED TO STARVE FOR AN EXTENDED LOOOOONG TIME, & then EAT COLD FOOD!!!

Nothing remarkable here. It's another chain restaurant with a theme trying to be the local neighborhood pub/restaurant. The food is good, the service is good and the prices are good. That's on a scale where "Good" is in the middle and you rise from there to "Excellent" and then "Superior." I had the Asian Chicken Salad and iced tea. I was a little disappointed with the portions on my plate. Most notably, the amount of chicken and the lack of sesame noodles. Service was also not as rapid as I would like but the volume of the restaurant was high that day so that could be a factor. The thing with chain restaurants is that you should always have a consistently good experience. Recipes, service and ambiance should be the same. When I have a bad experience at a chain restaurant, I wonder what went wrong that day and why it happened to me. That is the impression that I left with that day when I dined at this location.

I was really impressed with the Conway Fatz. An attractive newer building off 501 north of Conway it had a relaxing, well furnished interior. Service was excellent and prompt. And the food was great. My husband had the lite salmon. He said it was delicious and he would order it again. I ordered the grilled pork chops with cinnamon apples and they too were delicious and well prepared. For dessert we had the peach cobbler which was amazing! It was hard deciding what to order because the menu had so many delicious options but we will be coming back. We were so happy to find a good restaurant close at hand that specializes in good, plain American food. I give this Fatz an A+ and five stars. Tonite's dinner was the first good eat-out meal we have had after many unsuccessful visits to other Conway restaurants.

me and my husband returned here tonight for our date night i finally decided to order something besides the steak , i got the patty melt it was really good my hubby got the steak and ribs he likes so much we ordered the cheese fries for a appitizer which we never got he got the soup instead of the salad it came to the table cold when sent back it took about 10 minutes to get it back, after eating almost half the meal the bartender/waitress came up and told us she had forgot about the cheese fries which i did tell her it was okay due to we wouldn't eat it now anyways we were getting full. while eating our dinner there were some employee's at the bar hanging with some patrons when another employee came up and was talking to them telling the male employee some manager named Greg was hitting on her he tried to explain that he was just telling her she was doing a good job not flirting then the male got up to go to the bathroom the female that had come up started talking to the patron claiming the other employee was flirting with her as well and he thinks she is gorgeous and he better watch out cause she had a boyfriend. i understand that even special needs adult need jobs but to be accusing management of inappropriate behavior and to make those kinds of threats in front of customers is not good could be a big turn off for people to return when in fact the employee who she was referring to was talking normal with her and not inappropriately at all. all he was saying was that he was glad she was working there and she was doing a great job. if that's flirting i should of sued every boss i ever had for sexual harassment. we bring our family of 7 there one a month as well as we try to come for date nite every month. but not sure if i would want to return after this experience or not. i myself have a special needs child and even he knows the difference between a complement and flirting. this could cause a huge problem for fatz in the future if its not dealt with soon.

We were seated very quickly. I split a delicious ribeye steak and side of mashed potatoes with my wife. Really good food and great service. My iced tea never ran out and the rolls were yummy. The restrooms were very clean and well maintained. Though we didn't have alcohol the bar tender was very friendly and interactive with us. Even the manager stopped by to say hi.
