Good food. Good service. Good prices. What more could you ask for? I usually get either the roadkill (hamburger steak with mushrooms, onions, and cheese) or the ribeye. Both are very good. The cooks know how to do a medium rare steak right!

First time was last month, took the wife there on Mother's Day and although it was crowded our server was super friendly and very attentive. The bread is outstanding! That was a nice surprise, don't really care for peanuts but didn't bother me. The steaks are phenomenal and the price doesn't hurt your wallet when you treat the fam for a nice meal. We definitely plan to add this to our "regular" restaurants when we dine out.

This restaurant literally embodies everything I am looking to avoid in a restaurant. The food was cold and the atmosphere was, in a word, gross. I'm wildly impressed that people manage to keep down the food served here in general and even more impressed that they are able to considering the peanut-covered floors and the fact that the restaurant looks as though they hired a cheap taxidermist to be their interior decorator. My fellow restaurant-goers propensity for leaving more peanut shells directly outside the front door was an open invitation for a number of pigeons, many of whom were more well mannered than those dining inside. 0/10, would not recommend.

This was my first time at this location and my main goal was to stuff myself with their amazingly addicting bread and butter. Check! That is one thing that has been consistent with all the locations I've been to both on the west and east coast. Too bad I can't say the same for the ribs! I ordered a half slab and I only ate two out of the six ribs. The rest of them were way overcooked and they were on their way to becoming beef jerky. Oh well, at least I got what I came for.

Greeted and seated promptly. Waitress imediately brought rolls and cinnomon butter spread. Yummy. Peanuts were at table if wanted. Took drink orders right away. Since we knew what we wanted she took our order. Salad arrived promptly and my wife and I shared. About right amount of time entree arrived. I dont know how they do it but the sirloin was the best ever. Tender and delicious. The baked potatoe was fresh and really good. One of the best meals we had in along time. Keep it up. Dont pass this restaurant by for burger king. At $8.99 for before six you cant buy a hamburger.

It had been a while since we last tried this Texas Roadhouse and my last experience wasnt good. However, todays was much better. We got there before the lunch rush and we had Rico for our server. I ordered the mushroom jack chicken sandwich on toast and my mom and sister ordered the all ameeican burger. The mushroom jack chicken sandwich had a generous portion of chicken as well as cheese and mushrooms. My family enjoyed there burger. It was a nice stop for lunch!

Service and wait time were pretty good. But the food quality itself was horrible. The steak I ordered was over cooked and it was tasteless and dried out. I also ordered green beans on the side and they tasted like they were dipped in the Dead Sea.

Great service! Waitresses made sure we were well taken care of during our meal but that may have been due to almost everyone at the table being in uniform(Navy and Army). The military mural I found a little distasteful but its a "Texan themed" restaurant can't expect too much. The sweet tea was quite sweet in a good way, cant find that stuff in Virginia! You'll get large portions of food so be ready to either take it with you or be completely stuffed. Absolutely great food for the price! Was exceeding grateful that this place was right next to my hotel! Keep up the fantastic service!

I really wish these folks would open a Vegas location. I really miss eating here. I was happy to see when I recently was in Columbia, that they had one close to our hotel. And it didn't disappoint. I had the best Chicken Fried Chicken with cream gravy that I have ever had. Their salads are still my favorite of any chain. The rolls with the honey butter are still the best. My Dad had the Chopped steak and he said it was really, really good too. The service was great. They were busy, but we still got in right away and they were all very friendly.

Enjoyed the meal, place was booming so service was a little slow. Price was decent especially since we were able to order from the lunch menu. I had the grilled pork chops, my date had the sirloin. Everything was cooked perfectly. Salad was a little boring. Very little lettuce, some not so fresh tomatoes, and a few strips of cheese. The table bread was warm and fresh. Didn't care for the cinnamon butter but that's just me. Sweet tea was delish! Will definitely go back again.

Went here for dinner on a Saturday. Service was fine, they didn't do the hourly dance number...we appreciated that. The sirloin steaks were perfectly cooked to medium rare and we enjoyed our meal. Will be a regular spot for us because it is conveniently located near by.

My wife and I were passing through Columbia South Carolina and decided to grab dinner before getting back on the interstate. It's a typical Texas Roadhouse, not as nice as the one in my hometown, but not that bad either. We walked in and was greeted at the door with a smile and a big welcome. We were seated right away. Our waitress came right over and thanked us for coming and took our drink orders and brought a order of hot baked bread to our table. She was very polite and made us feel welcomed. We ordered the steak and BBQ ribs combination with baked sweet potato and a house salad. Our salads came out first, as it should be done and we had time to enjoy our salads before our main course was served. I was really surprised at the size of the steak and the size of the ribs for a combination order. The steak was very flavorful and the ribs were fall off the bone delicious. The sweet potato was cooked perfectly as were the steak and ribs. The meal was $17.99 each not including your drink. We enjoyed our meal and did not feel rushed at all. My wife even had to bring some of hers home, because it was more than she could eat at one time. Our check was brought to us and our waitress had us cashed out without delay. Overall a great experience for us out of town guest. We left our waitress a tip that reflected her attitude and our pleasure as to how we were treated. Great service should be appreciated. Something dinners and servers should always remember. So if you live or find yourself passing through Columbia South Carolina give this Roadhouse a try. I don't think you will be disappointed. Enjoy :)

Steak lovers paradise. Across from the hostess station is a butcher showcase. Pick your meat. Short wait. The both accommodated 5 adults nicely. Ordered the fillet with a grilled skewer of shrimp. Delicious. House salad was a good size and mixed greens. Recommend if you are in the neighborhood.

the ribs are to die for. they fall right off the bone. they have peanuts at the table while you wait for your food. it is fun for all seeing how many shells you can pile up on the floor before your food comes. the rolls are honey buttery and can be a meal themselves if you are not careful. many other things on the menu. too many to try all of them. but i am trying. prices are the same as any steakhouse. service is friendly and the place is clean except for the peanuts

Normally I'd rate a place like this a solid three or 4 stars, but the last several times we have been, either the food or the service (or both) has been so horrible that we will not be returning. I don't know what happened in the last few months, but I really feel like things have gone downhill. Waiter taking FOREVER to take our orders. Guests in need of refills on several occasions. Undercooked chicken (raw and still bloody in the middle). Missing wait staff all together to the point where I have to step a few feet into the kitchen to ask for someone. Having to ask a separate employee (other than our waiter) to speak to a manager twice. The waiter did not even come by to check on how things were until a manager had already been by the table, which was still about 20 minutes after we asked to speak with him. These things by themselves are restaurant sins, but when they all happen in one night, that's the time to throw in the towel and just give up on an establishment. Which is exactly what we are doing.

The quality has improved since I last been here. Maybe that had better cooks working on the steaks the night I came. Our service was good. Roxy, our waitress, was very attentive and friendly. I asked for more information on a drink because I try to avoid ANYTHING with vodka. She jokingly said she I should get vodka... too bad I didn't catch the joke until it was too late. Her actual description of the rum infused punch was right. A nice fruity drink with a enough just enough rum. We tried the ribs partially because it came with fries. Thank goodness it did come with fries. The ribs were overcooked and very dry. I ordered the rib eye (medium-rare) with green beans and a loaded sweet potato. The rib eye was cooked perfectly. I like preferred meat that isn't blackened, so it was nice to get my steak unseasoned for once. The meat was good enough to forgo any sauce or topping. I expect the sweet potato to come out with just cinnamon and butter, but it came out with marshmallows covering the whole things and the majority of the plate. Eating that was no different than ending the meal with a dessert. My brother ordered the NY strip with onions, green beans, and mashed potatoes with gravy. He said the food was pretty good. You will run into servers who shouldn't be wearing the "I *heart* my job" shirt. There was a blonde chick who was ranting about the insufficient tips she received. I wouldn't be surprised with an attitude like that. She decided to sweep the peanut shells from her section into our section while we were eating. I just hope she finds a new job that doesn't involve interacting with people. We probably should have complained.

Have only been twice in my life and that has been this month. I'm not a big fan of steaks so I usually shy away from steak restaurants but I'm quickly learning that they are very good places to eat. I loved my 2 visits to this restaurant. Once was to dine in and the other time was a take out. They have this special that about 8 meals are for $7.99 before 6 pm. The first time - I went with friends. Seating was prompt and service was great. Great explanation the menu and services. I couldn't believe that the peanuts you see in 2 great barrels at the entrance and on the end of every table you could eat and throw the shells/casings on the floor. I felt really bad about doing that but I guess that's what makes that place unique lol. Our waitress was good. I ordered the bbcue chicken, string beans, and loaded sweet potato. Of course we had those yummy rolls with cinnamon butter to help fill us up along with peanuts before even getting our food. SN - the steaks are fresh and for those fanatics you can pick the one u want cooked in the front. Also, the veggies are freshly made every day. My chicken breast was succulent and moist. The green beans had more onions than I was used to but it provided a good flavor. OMG that sweet potato was the best. I couldn't believe how good it tasted and i'm not really a fan of baked sweet potato plain but this is the way to go. It had carmelized caramel on it, cinnamon butter, and topped with marshmallows. I was so full after a couple of bites that the rest went home with me. Visit 2: carry out. Same fast service. This time i got the 6 oz steak, corn, and sweet potato. Same great taste, the steak wasn't dry (usually most are when u ask for well done). The corn was great too! Would definitely recommend!!!

My family and I came here during a visit to Fort Jackson for my husband's graduation and we enjoyed the food, as well as the wonderful service. If you're not accustomed to having heavily salted foods - I would suggest getting all of your sauces on the side. The seasoned rice was a bit too heavily salted for me, personally - but the rest of my family LOVED it. Our steaks were cooked to perfection - and again, I opted not to have any sauce on it - because they were either 1) too salty or 2) too sweet for my tastes. The ribs were AMAZING though, and I'm usually not a fan of ribs because they tend to run on the fatty side. These were the exact opposite. The sauce was slightly sweet, but not too much - and the meat fell off easily... with a slight crispiness to it. I thoroughly enjoyed them. The slow brewed sweet tea was definitely sweet - and reminded me of my childhood... it was great! ...another plus was that our waitress was gracious and accommodating when it came to my father-in-law's request for unbuttered bread. Their bread rolls, which are baked daily - bear a striking resemblance both looks and tastewise to Filipino pandesal... which has a slightly sweet dough. I really enjoyed my visit here and look forward to stopping by again if I'm back in the area.

I was DEFINITELY not in Kansas anymore. Walking in I noticed a mural on the wall. Get this. Three army tanks flanked by apache helicopters. On the tanks? Bikini clad women with M16s. Yet another indicator I wasn't from the area? Waiter: What can I get you? Archie: Chicken salad please, no bacon, dressing on the side. Waiter: No bacon dressing on the side? Archie: Yes please. Waiter: You must be from California. Archie: Sure am. Waiter: Super. Not a bad place and it looks like it gets crazy during happy hour. Crazy enough to paint military murals I suppose. Artillery.

Overall a pretty good experience. Took a little longer than normal to get some service, but it was a Friday night so that is expected. Our waitress didn't seem to care though and seemed preoccupied with her own thoughts. We had multiple soda glasses piled on our table before we had to move them to the very edge so she would take them. Food came out fast and was tasty. The New York Strip wasn't as good as we had hoped though. The Dallas Fillet is the way to go..so yummy! Definitely will be back, but maybe not on a Friday night.
