The service here is always decent. Coffee and food are always good. Just a great place to stop and have a great coffee and do some work, if you can find a seat.

I've been here a billion times and I'll be here a billion more times before it's all over. You just can't beat this location - feels "big city" while being surrounded by that old, brick, Columbia charm. Staff is very friendly. Biggest complaint is that the lower room is ice cold. You might want to bring a blanket (haha jk lol... but seriously.)

Normally not a fan of chain restaurants of any sort. But this Starbucks is the best one I've ever been in. The customer service is second to none. They operate like a small, mom-and-pop coffee shop and that's why I keep coming back. They definitely strive to get to know their customers. Highly recommended!

Great location in Vista, friendly service, and cool ambiance inside. They have nice outdoor seating alongside the building, and two main rooms inside to lounge or study.

Yeah, Starbucks is the largest coffeehouse chain in the world. I prefer local places, but if I can get good coffee quickly, I don't mind so much. I'm giving 5 stars for this being one of the better Starbucks I've been to. Here they employ friendly and capable staff. I have always gotten my order quickly- even when I requested a pour-over of their Casi Cielo specialty coffee and ordered quarter-pound bags of ground coffee. It's clean. The seating area is spacious with many tables. Looks like a good place to get some work done or to chat with a friend. There are a few tables outside, but they are next to a busy street. This is my go-to Starbucks in Columbia.

Friendly staff and nice interior. I also enjoy the outside area which overlooks Gervais. The staff is very accommodating and work very efficiently, even when it is busy.

ah starphux... a decidedly corporate group masquerading as a local hip joint.... pretty normal food (why wouldn't it be-they ALL have exactly the same stuff) at exorbitant pricing (after all, we gots stockholders to pay and execs to fluff!)...

The Starbucks in the Vista is the best in Columbia. As someone else said "it's my go to Starbucks" in town.

How does Starbucks not have half & half? Is it too much of an effort to put up a sign or mention this to customers before they purchase and leave a tip? The employees are more concerned with their cute inside jokes than getting orders correct and making sure orders are complete. The WORST Starbucks EVER!

Driving through over the weekend as I was taking my daughter to camp in North Carolina, we stopped at the state Capitol Building for a quick tour and to check out those protesting the Confederate flag. An old brick building, this is the most nostalgic Starbucks I've ever visited. Clean inside and out - I even had a chance to check out the restroom facilities. Clean and no offensive odor. The staff were friendly and made my drink - a tall Flat White - perfectly. I found parking right on Gervais and had easy access in and out. This was a casual visit as I saw the Starbucks sign on the way to the Capitol and visited on the way out. The sign on the door says they open at 5 a.m. /s/ William E. Located in a trendy part of downtown Columbia, this store has a really great feel inside . . . Looks like a refurbished older building that combines some modern lighting/decor with the charm of the original structure . . . Two very large sections of the store make for ample workspace . . . Food & beverage was fine . . . I'd have given it five stars had the two employees I interacted with at the front been friendlier. . . .

The staff is awesome and friendly. The coffee is like all the other Starbucks but their seats.... There's hardly anywhere to sit everytime I go.

I lived in Columbia for two years and yesterday stopped by right before closing. They are so friendly and have great customer service.

Hey. I'm a new transplant from New Jersey... and already I have been here 2x. Clearly this is a college hangout, and that's cool with me. I am in and out with my Caramel Macchiato in a flash. No problems, no run ins with anyone as this place is spacious. And the price of the products are the same as what I am use too. And I like how I can illegally park and the coppers aren't fast enough to ticket me! HA

The interior design of this Starbucks is gorgeous. I was pleased with my pour-over. I would recommend this shop to anyone who wants some decent coffee and free and yet fast-enough wifi. However, this Starbucks boasts something that no other Starbucks I have been to has - a seemingly unfriendly staff. Not only were the baristas I encountered unfriendly, but it almost approached some strange rude judgement. Sort of like a local bartender who prefers to serve their friends over everyone else. It was just odd.

Great seating area inside buy you might want to bring a blanket as the AC is blowing snow!! Great staff when I was there, they mixed my drink up but quickly got me fixed up with another one plus something from the baked goods. Internet connection is great there. Bathrooms are in the back, you need the number combination from the staff.

Consistently excellent service and the best drinks. My favorite Starbucks in town to visit. Too bad it's so far from me.

We stopped at this Starbucks before embarking on a long road trip home. The decor is awesome; it has a very indie coffee shop feel that most Starbucks don't have. The drinks were good too, though my little sister got her Frap without whipped cream and had to ask for some. It was very busy but it seemed like they had it under control. If I lived around the area I would frequent this place on the regz.

This is my favorite Starbucks. My drinks are always great, it's clean, the music is good, and it has a funky vibe that most Starbucks are missing. Parking can be tricky since it's all metered, but it's all close.

Your typical Starbucks although the decor was a little different. I don't remember the service at this particular Starbucks being all that great . This Starbucks is located in a nice area of Columbia and is great for people watching while you are sitting around drinking your coffee.

I just want to add that there's no restroom in the actual Starbucks itself. To access them, you must go out the back door into the shared hall, and they're on the left. Admittedly, I'm not a huge fan of flavored coffees (or expensive black coffee), but the options for a cup are very limited in the downtown area where I work, so I'm very thankful to have them here. Just make sure you pop some change into the meters, because Lincoln St is constantly patrolled.

They have a very kind and attentive staff, if you get some crazy coffee concoction it's generally made quickly, and the line is never that long and moves quickly. Since Peace, Love, and Rocky Roast went out of business, this is (unfortunately) the only coffee shop I know of in the Vista now. Not that it's bad, I just like PL&RR way more...nothing like listening to Elton John on a rainy day with a book and a coffee!

Great location and ambiance but really bad drinks. Out of 3 people, none of us had a good drink, even though we had one made over. Since we all go to SB's frequently in various locations across the US, we know what good SB coffee should taste like and unfortunately, we didn't find one here.

Great staff, very helpful and always offering free samples. THe building is quite large with lots of seating, and although the store offers the at&t wireless that you have to sign up for, they also have access to the free wi-fi from University of South Carolina. I have spent the past two days basically living here as I was visiting.
