First time here, the food was good Service was excellent. If you want authentic Mexican food this is the place to go for a great price. Definitely coming back again next year!

Horrible! If you love or even like Mexican food, do not go to Pancho's. This is canned food, reheated and thrown on a plate for you. My mom and I dined here and were disgusted. The manager did not charge us because we left almost all of it. He even admitted to us - This is not Mexican food. If you want to save money, buy all the canned stuff yourself. It would be better then going to Pancho's.

I was excited to come here because a friend recommended this restaurant. I was not impressed... The decor needs to be updated, some booths say Panchos, some say San Jose and a lot of the cushions and seats were torn. We ordered the wings that were featured at the entrance. They came to us not fully cooked, they were cold once we bit into them and the bone was cold to the touch, clearly still frozen. We sent them back and they didn't offer to fix it. We will not be back...

I absolutely love Mexican food! The look of this restaurant was really cool! The staff greeted me and my husband at the door. The menu was extensive. We ordered cheese sticks for an app and they were pretty gross. I def don't recommend them. The cheese wasn't all the way melted, the plate was super greasy, and the marinara sauce was really watered down and didn't even taste like marinara sauce. The main course was okay but nothing I would order again. The food prices were relatively inexpensive. I would not go back and eat at this restaurant.

Of all of the Mexican restaurants, especially the San Jose's, this one is easily the best. Maybe that's not saying much. The atmosphere is good the food is fast, and inexpensive. It has somewhat decent flavor though it is quite bland much like the rest of the Mexican restaurants in Columbia. The Carne Asada is probably my favorite dish. The portions are decent, and I've generally had good service when I've eaten there. Although it is not the greatest place, it definitely deserves a higher rating than other yelpers have given it.

The staff was very nice, I want to be clear about that right away. This review is solely for the atmosphere and the food, both of which I can basically describe as "inauthentic" and "gross." Every dish seems to be a re-arrangement of the same basic ingredients, which resemble, more or less, the plain veggies, over-salted ground beef or dry chicken and flour/pre-packaged tortillas you would see in the kitchen of a Taco Bell. Aside from the shredded iceburg lettuce and under-ripe tomato, I'm almost positive everything else (beans, cheese, salsa, etc...) came directly from a can. For those of you who have never been to a legitimate Mexican restaurant, taqueria, or even a variation of Tex-Mex in New Mexico, these places use things like cilantro, freshly diced onions, corn tortillas, fresh chiles for the salsas and grilled cuts of meat. The restaurant itself is a gaudy shrine to an establishment that cobbled together its identity over time. Are you a mexican restaurant? Country bar? Family restaurant? Night club? I don't think they even know anymore. Save your cash and go down the street to the Pizza Joint.

Authentic Mexican Food! I was looking for real Mexican food and I found it! The food is awesome! I had the fajitas with shrimp, chicken, and carne asada. Even the horchata juice taste like From California or Mexico. The chips and salsa are delicious and the service is very pleasant.

I pulled into the parking lot at dinner time on a Saturday night, but there were only a couple of cars in their parking lot. I know from experience that this is an indication of how good a restaurant is, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and went inside. The restaurant is larger than it looks outside. It has a cool bar that is apart from the dining area, and is clean. The chips and salsa were so so. The salsa was bland and lacked any cilantro and onion. I ordered the fajitas, and it came with a plate of the usual tomato, lettuce, sour cream and guacamole. It also came with a small plate of tortilla chips with beans and white, melted cheese on them, nacho style. That was delicious and unique. The fajitas were alright, but a bit greasy and had too much onions and green peppers. They came with three flour tortillas, but that was not enough. The dining atmosfere was nice. The service was friendly and fast, and I may visit again, but only if I don't find a better Mexican restaurant in the area.

Scaling it back to three stars it seems the food here us slipping a bit and they don't have towers of beer anymore welcome to the suck. Like I always say if those guys in the kitchen cooked what they made at home this place would be totally kick ass, but it's not.

Very delicious food for a really good price. The horchata was about 16oz and very tasty! The food, although not exactly authentic, was very good and the portions were large. My family of 5 ate lunch for about $40. I recommend this place and we will definitely return!

The taco truck on decker is better than this place. Cheap but definitely not worth it who uses ground beef for burritos highly disappointing and not good quality of food and definitely not authentic

Disgusting. It took 10 minutes to get any type of service and then when they finally came, it was the lady who was digging glove less in the trash who brought us our chips and salsa. Avoid at all costs.

We stopped in around 3 before we saw a movie so we could get drinks and an appetizer. They didn't have Bacardi silver, which I found odd. So I ordered a margarita instead. The bartender pulls a jug of premixed green liquid and gives me my "margarita" okay. It was sweeter than kool aid and absolutely awful. We also ordered their chorizo queso which was also terrible. It was nacho cheese with burnt chorizo in it. Not to mention the service was nonexistent.

Terrible service-good was ok-it was smokey in there and everyone at my table was chocking on the smoke. We won't be going back.

NEVER in my life have I returned a full plate and refused to eat it! The food was horrible! I ordered the Tacos al Carbon and the meat had no taste at all. It just tasted like tasteless meat. I thought it would come on a corn tortilla as pictured, however, it came on a store bought cold flour tortilla, and the beans came out of a can. I would rather have Taco Bell than this stuff. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else!

Another A-OK Mexican Restaurant... What's that familiar saying.. "ya seen one - ya seen em all". One statistic I would like to see is how many, "run of the mill", Mexican restaurants are there in these great United States of America??? The building, from the outside, looks like a cool old barn- once inside you could be in any-town, United States...the ambiance is kind of a cluttery, needs a good cleaning, Mexican restaurant. It always seems they put flat screens everywhere but have the cables draped everywhere... just one of my pet peeves, hide the wires why don't-cha! The food is A-OK also- Nothing over ordinary, but it's good. I ordered a Chimichanga, the oh-so popular deep-fried burrito. It's hard not to like some Carne Asada beef stuffed into a flour tortilla and boiled in oil until golden brown. However, why do some Mexican restaurants like to use a wannabe brown gravy mole sauce?? Do the Mexican cooks really use this stuff when they cook for family and friends at home?? I think not! If some of the Mexican restaurateurs ever read these reviews... cut the use of this salty brown gravy goop in your preparation of the food! My wife ordered the Carne Asada tacos- nice grilled beef steak with corn tortillas, chopped onions, and cilantro- served with beans and rice. They looked very good. The service was very good, they have a pretty good happy-hour three dollar Margarita, the food is good, and the prices are not exorbitant, ..try it, you will like it??

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
