Food: 4 Drinks: 3 (soda fountain) Atmosphere: 5 Staff: 4 Overall impression: Consistent quality is the name of Chipotle's game. Here are the tricks to having a stellar Chipotle experience. 1. Value quality over speed. This isn't a fast food joint or a Mexican Subway, this is good food in a quick manner. I noticed someone else complain about waiting 15 minutes in line during lunch hour. It's great for you to stand for 15 minutes and gives you and opportunity to unplug and enjoy the moment! 2. Don't expect Moe's. If you want to sacrifice the integrity of your burrito for unlimited chips, Moe's will deliver every time. You're in Chipotle. Either budget for chips or enjoy the simplicity of your burrito bowl. 3. Be a hippie. I know most Americans scoff at the idea of a meal without meat, but here me out. Before I became vegetarian, I used to order the chicken burrito. It was satisfying, but I didn't value the freshness that Chipotle brings to the table at the time. Now, I order a vegetarian (includes free guacamole and LOTS of it) burrito bowl (more ingredients - less carbs). Now, I'd go everyday if I could. Plenty of food, but I never leave feeling weighed down, which, for Tex-Mex, is rare.

They used to run out of food near closing time, but they seem to have improved a lot in this area in the last few months. It's probably kind of tough for them because the lines can get super long as this is a very very popular spot to get a quick and tasty bite to eat. And honestly the people are friendly. I've never had any problems and they are overall a pleasant group.

Gotta love Chipotle, you will get difference in service based on who's behind the glass. Doesn't hurt to get to know them. It's a chain restaurant but this one isn't bad.

Now I love Chipotle, but this location really SUCKS. It is by far the worst Chipotle location I have ever been to. The service here is just absolutely terrible. All of the workers that I've encountered are extremely rude. If you go there, make sure you don't ask them any questions because you'll definitely get attitude in return. Once I was in there and they forgot to give me guac after I ordered it. I asked for it before I was about to pay, and I received dirty looks and attitude when they were the ones who forgot to give it to me in the first place. Another time I went there (because I just really wanted some Chipotle) my burrito was falling apart. After they asked me what I wanted 3 times and I repeated what I wanted 3 times, they continued to put the wrong salsa on my burrito. The mild pico de gallo is NOT the same as the hot tomatillo-red chili salsa. Bottom line is that this location sucks because of the service. I go back to this location only because it's the closest and most convenient Chipotle to me, but if there was another one around I would definitely go there over this one. PLEASE GET BETTER SERVICE!

I love chipotle, but this location is extremely frustrating to visit. At least three times in the last two months that I have gone I have turned around and left because they are completely out of all grilled veggies. Whenever I ask, they have acted like it is a huge inconvenience to cook more. I was thrilled when I heard we were getting a chipotle in this location, but I am beyond frustrated that they don't even seem to care about my request.

The staff and food here is amazing! They're so friendly and generous! One time they ran out of the meat my boyfriend and I get so we waited until it was cooked (well I got the last of the meat, he had to wait hahaha). But for waiting so patiently they gave his burrito to us for free! We didn't even wait that long! A lot of chipotles give a small amount of what you're asking for on your burrito/bowl/taco/salad, but this chipotles gives the perfect amount and then some! To be honest this is probably the friendliest and best Chipotle I have ever been too!

Very good place to stop by and grab a bite to eat when you are craving Mexican. First time stopping by and it was pretty good. However, I think I am a Moe's fan. Also, another little tip is that their food can be spicy. I had the Chicken burrito with salsa and was expecting it to be mild, but after several bites my mouth was on FIRE! I think it might have been the salsa, but they never told me that the salsa was going to be hot.

I told the attendant I wanted a veggie bowl and he gave me the smallest scoop of fajitas ever. Maybe 3 strands of green pepper with 5 onions. I asked for more and he made a face. C'mon.. I'm not getting any meat! That means I want more veggies. Other than being stingy with the veggies on my veggie bowl I was satisfied with my meal. Hopefully the attitudes are better the next time I'm in here.

Your typical Chipotle food wise mixed with great local service. Great lunch spot too!

Well any Chipotle is delicious so this is just more of the same. Great food, pretty clean, nice staff to deal with. They are pretty busy around the lunch rush hour, but great outside of those times. They also mail out free burrito coupons so cant complain.

For a Tex-Mex burrito chain, Chipotle is the cream of the crop and this location is no different. The food is made flavorful, fast, and fresh and the crew at this place is friendly and attentive. While you don't have as many options or toppings as Moe's the flavor and taste well makes up for that. Also the portions are bigger and actually I don't know why people say Chipotle costs more, check your receipts my friends! For the same price (give or take a dollar at the most if you get guac!) you get way more food and your taste buds will be super happy!

I LOVE Chipotle and have spent thousands of dollars at their restaurants throughout the country but.... This location has horrendous management and service! They are consistently out of something, forks, meat, napkins, and tonight it was the mild salsa... I travel extensively for work and have probably been to over 100 Chipotle's and this is the only location I have ever eaten at and had a negative experience. It does get crazy when school is in at USC, but I have been to many other Chipotle's on and near college campuses that are able to maintain adequate stock of eating utensils and the 5 things served on the menu. (Note: the lack of mild salsa tonight can not be blamed on students as school is not in session) Also, it is one thing to be busy, but on countless occasions I have encountered horrible service along with the long wait... If there are 20 people in line, it makes no sense to me to have all your staff but two people working in the back... I don't know if it's a management problem or the employees at this location are just that unhappy, but the attitude I get here is consistently poor and unlike any other Chipotle I have visited. Unfortunately, this location is the most convenient to my home. I have been coming to this location since it opened two or three summers ago and have been sorely disappointed so many times now it is hard to count and now feels like every time. I would recommend, if at all possible avoid this location (especially when USC is in session), the Harbison and Forest Drive locations will provide you the Chipotle experience that this one sorely lacks.

WE need one of these in my town . The prices are good for what you get and the service is pretty good.

Chipotle is a staple of my diet, so I'm overall a big fan. This location can easily get swamped and run out of certain items, which is a little annoying at times, but understandable. That hasn't stopped me from returning...often!

I like Chipotle Mexican Grill. It's your run of the mill Tex Mex spot. I like the environment. The menu is super simple and always makes me feel like I'm being healthy lol. My favorite part is the Patron Margarita. I've never been to this location located off Gervais Street. It has outdoor eating space that has a cover instead of umbrellas. I like this better. I'd go again. The service is quick and the space is always clean. Parking can be tricky depending on the day and time, but to be expected because of the location.

I really don't understand all of the bad reviews here. If you're looking for a nice quiet, romantic dinner then this place is NOT for you. This one is ALWAYS packed (duh, it's in the vista) but the line moves pretty quickly. You'll find lots of college kids (news flash, it's right near a college campus!). It's very loud, but aren't all chipotles loud??? It's concrete floors and stainless steel everything else. Personally this is my fav chipotle in Columbia because they always hook me up on the meat!

This is not a commentary on ALL Chipotles, but this one makes it very hard to enjoy eating there. First off, the acoustics inside are terrible. I can barely hear myself think over the too-loud music and yelling of other guests trying to have a conversation. Second off, it is always crowded. Always. Unless you love waiting in a line for 15 minutes for food during your lunch break, steer clear of this place. Third, and this IS a commentary on all Chipotles, it's crazy that they don't have cheese sauce. Also crazy that the chips you have to buy separately are so expensive and salty. And the salsa (again, bought separately $$$$) is a tiny little serving. They are also incredibly stingy with the (overpriced) guac. Egh. I've tried this place numerous times to try and change my mind, but I just never have a good experience here.

Let's get one thing strait. I fricken LOVE Chipotle but this one is slackin big time. The burritos are half the size of others I've been to. Very disappointed, for what I paid for. Taco bell has bigger burritos on the dollar menu. Really Chipotle step it up.

Great food, lots of students, and a great vibe but this Chipotle location has very poor customer service.

I just stood in line for at least 20 minutes. When I got ready to order, I was told they didn't have any chicken ready. It would be 10 minutes. I have never had to wait 30 minutes for chipotle. That defeats the purpose of it being fast food. This location is doing something wrong because I have seen it done properly at many other locations. Get it together!

I typically love Chipotle but had a terrible experience at this one the other night. Went in looking to get a quick burrito to take home after a long work shift and was not pleased with the food or service! I ordered a steak burrito and had to wait several minutes because they had ran out of steak...no problem, however when I got home I discovered that the server ended up stuffing my burrito full of half cooked steak that was disgusting and very hard to chew. In addition, if they charge 2 bucks for guacamole, they should at least put more than a little spoonful of it in the burrito. Last but not least, burritos should be warm and toasty, not cold and hard like the one I ended up getting from here. Hopefully this is not how the quality of their food is all the time but I will not be coming back to this location anytime soon. Tldr: avoid the bad food and high prices here and take your business to Salsaritas right down the street

I come here only because it is closer to my apartment. The workers have gotten to know me and have been better. But management is awful. Most the time they are out of something whether it be a meat, toppings, tortillas, forks, anything. Seriously how does a burrito restaurant run out of tortillas? Poorly managed and if you go at the wrong time you can wait 45 minutes easily. Never experienced this even at Chipotle's in bigger cities. Very slow. Often people just walking around doing nothing. Skimpy servings a lot of the time. I go here for convenience. The Chipotle on Trenholm is a hundred times better.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
