Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

Over 10 years ago, this place used to be one of the best. They have went downhill fast. At noon, lunch time, food on buffet was cold and con-gelled. It shouldn't be this way during the busiest hours. The shrimp was black and overcooked. The once famous crab rangoon was rotten. The cheese used in the rangoon was very very bad and spoiled. It would make anyone hurl. I checked the bathrooms out, and they were equivalent to a country gas station. I do recommend that they get new toilets, and get a mold inspection. You come out with more germs than when you go in. The wallpaper is coming off the walls. It is not maintained at all. This place is in need of a renovation and new management. After 10+ years of patronage, I do not have a desire to go back. There are plenty of other buffets in Columbia, and some are outstanding.

It's cheap for a buffet, that is about the best I can say. The food is on the cold side making me wonder about the food safety. There are no tofu dishes for vegetarians but they will throw something together if you ask. I've actually give this place two tries since it is so close to the house. It would be nice to see new management pick this place up since I think they could do well in their location.

Basically a very mediocre Chinese buffet. The food was a little cold, and the variety is pitiful. The taste is bland and boring. Shrimp dishes are overcooked and dry the restaurant is also in disrepair and rundown.. I would not recommend this place to anyone. You would be better off eating a frozen TV dinner.

Occasionally little one used to love going here for "junk-food Fridays to get an egg roll and wings. Well recently (July 2012) I had the great idea (NOT) to stop there and eat since it was already late and too humid to cook anything on a gas range! I only have myself to blame since I know that I don't do buffet, I should have left well enough alone. However, they were just bringing out fresh trays for the dinner hours. My son was eating Mussel and bit into a baby crab about the dime and an untouched one had kelp or seaweed hanging from it! I was sick to my stomach and so was he. The problem was not the tiny crab or seaweed alone but the obvious fact that they did not thoroughly clean them. Otherwise, someone would have seen at least the seaweed. I have never in my life found anything more disgusting in my life in something I had to eat. Instead of the owner offering a refund for my son's portion he gave him an oral biology lesson about the life cycle and eating habits of Mussel! WTH! Needless to say, I will not consume anything from this establishment again.

Not bad for the price. One of the older chinese buffets in town. I particularly like the peanut butter chicken which is the only reason I come here. It's pretty busy during lunch on weekdays because it's near the base as well as other businesses. I would recommend as a good lunch spot if you're in the area.

Incredibly nice staff. They don't mind if you arrive early, take a seat and cup of tea while waiting for the buffet to set up. The food is fresh, hot and doesn't have that generic flavor which is common among larger buffets in the midlands. I will say however, the egg drop soup REEKS of boiled chicken bones, but is very tasty. They usually have shrimp on the bar for lunch and dinner....at least on the weekends.
