Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Yo Bo is an affordable, relatively quick place to grab a bite to eat. Everyone at our table was satisfied with the flavors of the meal. However, we waited wayyyy too long for the chips to arrive at our table after ordering them. Also, 5 people at our table ordered burritos and two of those burritos were significantly smaller than the others even though they weren't supposed to be. I had a burrito bowl with carnitas. It was really fresh tasting and not too heavy. Out of the chips and dip trio, the queso and salsa was good but the third dip was a pineapple salsa that didn't really hit the spot for me. Too much sweetness and nothing to balance it with.

I've been there twice. The first time the food was excellent and service was good. The second time I walked out because I sat there for 10 minutes without having a menu. I ate down the street at Dig instead. I had a menu as soon as I sat down.

Seriously, these are my favorite tacos in Charleston. Rojo chicken is where it's at, and the Mexican corn is delicious. It can get crowded at night, but a great place and fun atmosphere.

Great place on Montague. Service was good during a crowded lunch-time. I had the chicken burrito which was also offered in a bowl if you wanted to cut carbs. Fresh ingredients and tasty. Nicely priced. I'll be back!

Friendly staff! All the food is awesome and fresh. We stopped in to have a drink and ended up having dinner. The salsa is clean and fresh. We tried them all and can't decide which one is our favorite. We love this place, it's our new regular spot! Salsa choices are great! The burrito is "slap your grandma" good.

I've been here twice and each time the food was A-OK but not over the top good. I think some of the internals to the tacos are a bit under seasoned which is not a big deal but there are zero condiments on the table (salt/pepper/hot sauce). I don't typically ask for condiments as to not offend the back of the house and figured they serve it how it should be eaten. The beer is cold and the margarita's are great as is the service. Very convenient location in the Park Circle area.

The first time we went the food was good, but the margaritas were not. We got a pitcher and it was all mix. If there were any fresh ingredients in the pitcher you couldn't taste them, or the tequila. We went back a second time for happy hour, and the margaritas were much better. The jalapeno infused margarita was very good in fact. However, we did not get a pitcher this time so maybe we just got a bad mix that first time. The ingredients in the food were very fresh. I've had tacos there three times now and they were good every time.

The chips were a little stale. My burrito was supposed to have grilled chicken and steak but had tofu instead.

Amazing! The food was so fresh! We got the chips and salsa- they gave us 4 different kinds! I got one chicken taco and one steak- amazing! I was stuffed! Great service too- very friendly! We will definitely be back!

So, I don't normally write reviews, but I felt the need to write one on this restaurant. The margaritas were huge and definitely would have benefited having a handle. The wine was tiny. The salsa that came with the chips was not good at all. The guacamole was good though. 3 of us got the Mo burrito in different ways and we all enjoyed it very much. The service was so-so. All in all, I think everyone should give this place a try.

Love Yo Bo, used to go to the downtown location and still go to the West Ashley location. The renovation here at the Park Circle location is beautiful and I'm sure they will hit their stride but right now it is not reasonable to come during a work lunch... Waited over 45 minutes for an order I called in in advance for pickup. I'll try it again but at this point it's not worth the price and time.
