The remaking of Elliotborough continues to bring good things to Charleston, with WareHouse, on the corner of Spring and St Philip Sts. The interior is open, inviting, and has lots of cool architecture and design elements, including the clever way the large space has been divided into 3 distinct areas, without building walls. But let's get down to facts. I could bill and coo about the interior design and decor, but what you want to hear is about the menu, service, and value. There are lots of options here -- come in for a quick cocktail or beer, and munchies, or stay for a meal. Though only 4 of the taps were in use, it looked like another eight or so are planned for future use. The bar looked well stocked, and there's even options for espresso (though the machine is an automatic one I'm not familiar with, nor do I know their roaster.) Our server was pleasant, knowledgeable, and when she got a little out of her depth, because of some special dietary needs we have, she called in the big guns -- the owners and chef. They listened, gave suggestions, and provided one of the freshest, both in ingredients and approach, meal I've had in a long time. Husband's meal was also a hit. (I got the Farmer's plate and he got the Fritters.) Bottom line? We'll be back. Delicious food, imaginative menu, and attentive staff/owners go a long way to making a happy customer. Next time, though, I'm sitting at one of the old safes made into a table. How cool is that??

I've been a couple times and I love it! I haven't been late night yet so I can't really talk about the bar crowd. But I have been to happy hour. Good drink specials for beer, wine, and cocktails. LOVE the cool cocktails at this place, I had a beer shandy-type thing which was really tasty. A couple friends and I split the cheese place which was really good and filling. I had the reuben sandwich for dinner which was so freaking good. Cheesy and meaty and delicious. It was on the emptier side for happy hour, though, but it was a great place to catch up with the girls. I've also been for a group of friends for brunch which was so fun! They don't take reservations but we were able to snag a table for 6 around 12:30 at the right time. There were a lot of drink selections like beer, mimosas and such. I wanted the sangria and nobody would split it with me. So I drank the pitcher myself! No shame! It was delicious! Food was awesome too. My breakfast sandwich may have been the best breakfast sandwich I've had. And I really like breakfast sandwiches. Really good. Others at the table got the hash, burger, and fried chicken sliders. All were delicious. Warehouse had a great energy and all the makings of a food-filled, boozy brunch. Awesome.

Was one of my favorite bars until it became a hot bed for college kids. I would come in and buy a few nice top shelf bourbons with my friends throughout the night and enjoy. Now it's just a hip hot spot for miller lights and bros

Pretty awesome atmosphere here for drinking or eating...just a well-programmed space and creative design. Gigantic bar that allows for great intermingling. If you are bar hopping in Charleston, this should be a spot on your list.

A review of Sunday Brunch at Warehouse: Firstly, know that Warehouse doesn't seem to post their weekly Sunday brunch menu ahead of time on their website or social media profiles (as far as I could tell). Their brunch hours also don't start until 11am. By this hour I am ravenous, which is perhaps their secret strategy - really hungry people tend to be more enthusiastic about any food coming their way. My friend and I arrived about 15 minutes after 11am, and the entire restaurant was full and on a wait except for two bar seats, which we happily and hungrily accepted. As soon as butts touched the seats we ordered bloody marys and the beer orzo mac & cheese - a small but very delicious side item - to satiate us. The main brunch entrees came out quickly enough, and we were both very pleased with our orders. For him, the Korean BBQ Chicken sliders (which were more comparable to full-size chicken sandwiches), and for me, the Oyster Mushroom Crepes, complete with a fried egg and greens on top. I'd recommend either to anyone with an adventurous palate and a hearty appetite. Our brunch bills fell between $21 - 27, reasonable for downtown Charleston and a meal including an app and drinks. I'll be back, and be back to Yelp to re-review, but want to see more variety in terms of the meatless options - I like to keep it flavorful but still healthy and light when it comes to my sunday brunch!

Not worth the money. We paid $18 to share a "Napa Caesar salad" with shrimp. For that much money, I'd expect to get more than 4 slices of avocado, 3 capers and 4 shrimp. Or at least id expect a decent tasting salad. The shrimp was chewy and almost inedible, the dressing was far too fishy and the cabbage was unappealingly soggy. If we hadn't ordered this for take out, I probably would have sent it back. The empanitas were okay, but again, not worth the price in my opinion.

We thoroughly enjoyed brunch at the Warehouse on Sunday. After reading a few reviews on here and looking at their menu we added stopping by here to our To Do list for our weekend in Charleston. Boy am I glad we did. The food was fabulous and the drinks were great!! We had Myers Lemon + Poppy French toast (SOOOO GOOD) , Homemade Lamb sausage, and the Southern Breakfast Sandwich. Every item was delicious but the french toast was our favorite. The flavor was awesome and the blueberries added a special flavor. I suggest this place to anyone in the area. We can not wait to visit Charleston to eat here again and to visit the bar one evening. The set up is creative and the music was lively.

I'm a fan of the appetizers/ tapas style dishes. There is a good selection of liquor, and when I wanted my bloody Mary in a pint glass, they gracefully obliged. I have never been a fan of my bloody's in the gawd awful slender glasses. I found that they had a brunch menu and couldn't wait to check it out with my friends. It was absolutely wonderful. The only downside was that they drowned my food with a little too much of the sauce. I think this was perhaps a fluke because my friend ordered the same thing and didn't have the same problem. I can't remember what the dish was called, but I will post a picture of it. No picture of that, but I do have a picture of my Bloody Mary.

I've been meaning to update my review here since coming in for dinner with a friend a while back. We decided to just go to town on a bunch of small plates to get a sampling of everything. We took a seat at the bar and just began ordering plate after plate of food. It wasn't crazy busy so it was easy for them to keep checking in to see if there was anything else we needed, which the staff did an excellent job of. The dish that I'm still dreaming about was the deviled eggs! We had the regular Fried Oyster one and the Daily Special BBQ Chicken one and both were outstanding. I think the chicken one was my favorite. We were torn between the cheese board of the meat board until the bartender told us we could do a half-and-half split... perfect! This was pretty much the main course. We kept coming back to it and didn't leave one item behind. The diversity they included on the board was genius and also plentiful. If I had to pick my personal least favorite item on the board I would say the pate but, even the pate was better than others I've had. If you see it on the menu, the quail and dumplings is a must have. Everything about this dish was deep with flavor and I don't have any complaints whatsoever. This fish and toast was fine but nothing that stood out compared to these other plates so I would likely skip it next time. The other two dishes were the potato skins and crispy cauliflower. These were our least favorite of the night. To be honest. I think we would have enjoyed them more without the other dishes we tried. They were both heavy bar food and everything else we had was lighter and ummmm... not fried. These two just didn't go well with everything else in front of us but, I take the blame for ordering them all together in the first place. By the end of our small plate adventure we were both entering food-coma stage and were overall happy with our selections. Especially some of the unexpected ones like the quail. The consensus seems to be that the deviled eggs are a hit with everyone. What they need to do is offer them sushi-style where you have ten or so to choose from and then bring out a plate of however many you pick. If this ever happens, I will be lined up outside with a bib on. Please make me eat my words... and your deviled eggs.

This place has been here for almost two years and I had yet to try it, so my friend and I stopped in on Sunday for a late brunch. Although the cocktails are a little small for the price, the service is excellent and the food was divine. We split two appetizers and two entrées and for the most part it was the best meal I had had all week! The most memorable dish that proved to be the pinnacle of our visit was the Mac and Cheese Carbonara: to die for! The atmosphere is also upbeat and modern, so this will definitely be one of my new brunch spots.
(4)Jennie S.
I love the warehouse! They have a great cocktail selection and the food is pretty good too. Prices are pretty reasonable for downtown. Overall it's a great place to hangout on a casual night.
(5)Deb W.
I was SO excited about this one after seeing it rated so high for best Happy Hour, but I'm torn. We had a nice time and are really glad we went. If we lived close by, we'd go again, but to us it's not someplace we'll rush back to. PRO's - great atmosphere, very good service, amazing deviled eggs, spiced gingerale. The seafood stew - seafood was cooked great but it would have been nice with rice for the broth and we personally weren't crazy about the cream broth. CON's - parking is a nightmare! Butcher board (everyone raved about this so we had to try it. It's mostly different pate's so if you aren't into that, which we aren't, this isn't for you). Tiny mixed drinks. The deviled eggs alone are worth going for if you're in the area.

well popped in during bike ride to meet a couple friends, nice spot , but did not want to eat much prior to trek back to Mt. P., so i got the egg and a brew , so was tasty, but half of a small egg for $2.50? really ?

I absolutely loved this bar. We were staying at a house rental a couple of blocks away and I had to pee, so we ducked into Warehouse really quick. However, when I came out my boyfriend was sitting at the bar drinking a beer...so why not? The place itself is really cool - high ceilings, swanky lights, big wooden tables, and a nice bar area. The bartenders were all super friendly. I got the shandy shakedown (Allagash white with lemon, aperol, and St Germain) which was yuuuuuum. Gotta love beer cocktails. We also got the market charcuterie board. It was filled with delicious meats and it even had pickled strawberries (!!!). Better yet, it was only 14 bucks! Would definitely recommend. I would've loved to try more food, but we were already full from dinner and the charcuterie board was all we could handle.

The southern noodle bowl is amazing. Had it Sunday night and it was the perfect way to finish the week.

I had about two hours to kill one afternoon before a film screening for school, so what's the best thing to do? Eat some food and drink some beer! I only tried one of the appetizers, but it was like eating some magic mushrooms. It totally opened my eyes to a whole new world! Boiled friggin peanuts, my favorites snack of all time, on loaded potato skins. You have to be kidding me. This is the best thing since sliced bread. I can't believe I never thought to put boiled peanuts on anything. I waited too long to write this review and don't remember every ingredient that was in this awesome app, but it all went together deliciously. I can't wait to go back for some more, and I'm also looking forward to trying something new as well. Oh, yeah. And beer. Lot's of good beer. Drink up!

My boyfriend and I went here for a low key date dinner on a weeknight. I'm not a drinker myself so I was pleased to find some very intriguing menu options and a seasonal soda offering. My boyfriend got the burger and was impressed with their use of pork belly over the typical bacon, and the burger was huge. He loved it and I am lucky he was generous enough to share his fries which were hot and fresh and wonderful. Strong fries are a must. I got the farmers plate and was equally impressed to find a vegetarian dish with a Mediterranean twist. It was more filling than it looked (though it did definitely leave room for an appetizer or dessert!) and flavorful, with chickpeas and a great dressing making it memorable. Plus they had a honey basil soda which was really great. There were so many interesting things on the menu to try, the food really seemed to offer some new and fun dishes, plus specials! I would highly recommend taking in some snacks, if not dinner! Sadly, we skipped the homemade desserts, but the fact they were offered has me dying to go back. I'd recommend it on a quiet week night if you are just looking for a low key place to sample some great food and drink. Has offerings for non drinkers and vegetarians, so it caters to most anyone in a group! Though it does seem more suited for a younger crowd since it is very casual. Overall, a huge plus is getting good food at reasonable prices without having to go out and pay for fine dining and het all dressed up. Service was fast and friendly. Had a great experience!
(5)Adrienne B.
I absolutely love there Brunch. It's always fresh and DELICIOUS! The menu switches up and so do the unique cocktails. If you go in the evening... hang out with Duncan at the bar. He is great bartender!
(5)Meredith C.
James, the owner, and Adam head of security were the biggest douchebags I've ever seen. We waited for 45min and they continuously let their own friends cut the line. When my friend mentioned that they were letting ppl unfairly cut the line they told her she was unwelcome. I asked what happened and they told me "oh you're with her, you can leave". I will never ever suggest this bar to anyone ever. It is a shitty establishment w rude owners/employees.

We came back for brunch and it was amazing. Definitely one of the top stops for brunch in charleston in my book. It's not really advertised, and I don't think yelp acknowledges that they are even open on Sunday morning. So what you get is a fairly under the radar gem. Great drinks at good prices. The bloody Mary's were awesome ($7- a bit if an up charge but high quality and I'd say there are certainly more expensive bloody's out there- try with the jalapeño tequila) and the screw driver was made with a higher quality OJ than you're average bar, but I believe those are only $5 with house vodka. Good stuff coming from the bar (where we sat) and the bartenders were on the ball. We split some tots (they have three flavors, and we went with the malt & salt. Wow, tot heaven. I love variety but feel like we hit the bullseye with the malt and salt. I ordered the pork belly and my wife the chicken bombers. Though it did take a little while, everything was on point and delicious. A word of advice- the chicken bombers are 3 large fried chicken sammys on English muffins. This could be a good dish to split with one or two others so you can sample some other items as well. We would love to make this a regular brunch destination, but don't forget the dinner and bar menu here during regular hours are awesome too so there really isn't a bad time to check out this joint.

Pom Pom pitcher is a can't miss. We got 4-5 drinks for $16 during happy hour out of it. The fish and chips was sheepshead - hit the spot. The BLT w/ranch deviled egg was delicious. Tasted exactly what I thought it would taste like but better. What's keeping me from 5 stars is that my ramen bowl was missing the key component: broth! The pork was good, the ramen noodles just tasted like the salt water they were boiled in. Skip it and get something else. The little bit of pork jus the menu states it will have was there but minimal. I was disappointed. Overall, we are going to try Warehouse again because I want the confit wings next time. Very cool place, go on the earlier side. I can imagine it getting busier with a louder and more raucous crowd.
(4)Jennifer W.
Best brunch I have ever eaten! Forager's Toast was amazing and the breakfast empanadas were to die for!
(5)Lizzie P.
Cool atmosphere, delicious food, and the company didn't hurt! Try the "eggplant parm"- unlike any other parm out there!!! So good!!!
(5)Nicole P.
Okay, let's just get straight to the point: if you aren't eating that Farmer's Plate on a regular basis, you need to reevaluate your life decisions. That sheeet is good. The place itself is cool, with high ceilings and a few nice decorative touches. For anyone who likes pool, there is a pool table there. Since I was sitting at the bar, I can't really comment on the table service, but the bartenders were attentive and friendly. It does get pretty busy in there later on in the night (proooobably has something to do with the delicious cocktails, JUST SAYIN), so if you are looking for a tamer time, make sure to head in there a little bit earlier.
(5)Jean W.
Sunday Brunch, wonderfully creative food, attentive and friendly staff. Space is really comfortable. Prices are reasonable (coffee prices for the size could be a dollar less). Would recommend this Brunch to anyone.
(5)Joy S.
So I have to update my review. I still love this place. I really like the space and everything I've had to eat so far has been really good. I adore the crispy cauliflower and I still dream about those deviled eggs I had on my first visit. So it hurts a little to deduct a star, but I gotta. I went in this past Saturday after attempting to find a place on Upper King to grab a bite to eat that wasn't too busy. Luckily, we walked right in and found a table. My friend and I were sitting right beside each other and we had a hard time carrying on a conversation. I felt like I was shouting the entire time. The space already is not the most conducive space for conversation, you know being a warehouse and all. But then you blast music like it's some dance party and you might as well just give up on talking and just drink your drink and eat your food. The music they were playing was fine, maybe not the most fitting for the vibe they have going on, but it was just way too freaking loud. I'll still come back but it'll be for happy hour or brunch since I actually like to have a conversation with my meal. I know, shocking, right?!
(3)Chris B.
This is my go to spot whenever I am in town! I am a bourbon fan so naturally I love those selection at the bar! Food is always on point and service is great! Will definitely keep coming back in and supporting these guys!
(5)Brandon O.
This place vascillates between really great and really ok. The crowd is almost 100% bro, which might be coloring my opinion too much. The food is great, the drinks are great, the space is ok, kinda awkward. I just never go because the people are so bad.
(3)C O.
Had great dinner. The menu is new since the last time I was here and it met every need of our party's tastes.
(4)Bryan L.
Love the veggie plate for dinner and brunch is a hidden gem! The deviled eggs are unbelievable.
(5)Vanesa E.
This place is by far one of my favorites in the city. It's dangerous that I live a block away. But the brunch for Sunday Fundays never fails to entice me. I've been a bunch of times and tried something new every time. The Duck Duck Hash #, the Cubano Benny and the French Toast have all been top notch. The one thing I hate about brunch in Charleston is usually having to pay 20 bucks for a ham and cheese omelet that I could make at home. The Warehouse is the complete opposite. I could never concoct the amazing dishes they come up with and they're fairly priced too. If you eat here for brunch don't plan on having any other big meals the rest of the day. So filling and delicious! My Serbian boyfriend LOVES the European style coffee they have. And their infused liquor makes for a potentially great Blood Mary (I think their mix could use a little work) I'm obviously obsessed with their brunch on Sundays but have also been there with friends for drinks on a Saturday night. The cocktails are great and they usually sell them in a pitcher which makes out to be a great deal! All in all, amazing spot to hang out, drink and grub with your friends!
(5)christina b.
These days it is more common that someone be inclined to write a negative review as opposed to positive...however, I must say that after coming to Warehouse, the servers/bartenders were not only accommodating, but went out of their way to be generous and hospitable. We had an issue with a dish but their reaction was to make sure we were taken care of and had as pleasant experience as we could have. That being said, the food & drinks were delicious and atmosphere is modern and comfortable. I highly recommend this place and wanted to write this to make sure everyone knows that this place is well worth your time!
(5)Kara P.
Went there for happy hour and decided to stay for dinner. The food took a long time to come out, even though there were about 4 other people there besides us. The portions were ok size except for the lamb meatballs. We got 4 small meatballs, smaller than golfball, and that was supposed to be a whole dinner... Overall, nice place, clean, and good food. Bartender was nice as well :)
(3)Will H.
Very open space with a "whatever goes" atmosphere that appeals to a 20s and 30s crowd, just a block or two off Upper King. This emerging bar/ restaurant/ hang-out spot has a nice mix for hanging with friends when it's time to step out of the tourist scene. The only downside: once word gets out and the space fills up, it can be a bit on the noisy side. The space is literally an open warehouse front, with a chic industrial look of metal and wood and basic concrete floors. The bar is quite long and stands opposite a row of seating that includes small tables and banquettes good for small parties or couples. There's a couple sofas for a lounge space in the middle, and then a foosball and pool table available for rent towards the back. Lots of TVs on the wall for your sports viewing pleasure, and a large chalkboard near the door with that day's special offerings. The beer offerings here are a bit limited, given how ambitious the place is, but there will be something here to appeal to most any palette and plenty of local and well-known craft beers to supply the crowds. A mix of bottles and taps available, that is both seasonal and in transition. A full bar is available, but the craft cocktail menu is currently pretty slim, though it has a couple interesting sections that include beer cocktails and larger portions meant for sharing (think punch bowls). But what is there is surely not an afterthought. My wife had the "Where the Crosswalks End: with honeysuckle vodka and a stiff ginger beer. It was well-made and a great blend of flavors I'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a good drink. We did not have any of the food (yet!), but it is clear the kitchen here aspires to compete with even the most adventurous dining destinations in the city. This ain't no deep-fried bar bites menu, my friends. A five-spice duck noodle bowl, lamb meatballs, and foie gras share space with deviled eggs and house-made pork rinds. Sundays include a few all-day brunch options that are equally daring and currently include a passion-fruit french toast alongside a duck-hash. So despite its rather industrial name and space, Warehouse is a rather sophisticated bar and food stop worthy of exploration.

Been here before for drinks and it was great. However on New Year's day it was a total shit show. First of all, we called the day before to try to make a reservation and never got an answer or call back. We waited for 2 hours (had 7 ppl so we knew it would be a while) and the staff was rude and very unhelpful. We ordered bloody Mary's from the bar while we waited and they were literally thrown at us- no smile, no garnish, just shoved over half spilled. Even the people sitting at the bar were like "damn, that's rude!" Long story short we ended up sitting at one of the communal window tables bc we knew someone there and she shared her space. When that party left, we were never given menus and our order was never taken. We were told by the hostess we should have made a reservation. We ended up walking out. Terrible service, the staff clearly didn't want to be there and didn't care about customers or making money. Also seems as if they favor friends over regular customers as we saw many ppl being sat before us. We'll never ever go back. Thanks, have a great day! ;) wanted to give this no stars but it's making me do one.

I can't speak to the food because we just came here to drink, but we were fans of this place. Very open feel, not too crowded, age range seemed to be mid 20s to mid 30s, and the nicest foosball table I've ever played on. Fun place! Update* I've eaten here now so I can now speak to the food. You can tell by the menu that they have much more than a bar cook preparing the typical bar food back in the kitchen. Ate here recently with some folks and we had the the Shrimp Spring Rolls which were good and the Thai Duck Bowl which I really wanted to enjoy but the flavors weren't nearly as pronounced as the description led me to believe - I should have paid attention when the waitress she didn't list it as one of her recommended items. I also tried some of the grilled cheese with chorizo - It was delicious and my buddy thought it was the best grilled cheese he'd ever eaten. If we find ourselves eating here again, I'll be ordering from their selection of four gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches.
(4)Nick S.
Pretty good bar for the most part. Certain days have certain crowds. My favorite bar on Saturday nights if I want to drink and mingle. Bartenders are pretty good about getting to everyone as fast as possible. When it is crowed, its a little hard to move around.
(4)Andrew W.
I really loved this place. We started with the immense meat and cheese board for $20. It was a wonderful assortment of meats and cheeses, we fully satisfied with it. The merguez lamb meatballs over black eyed peas and baba ganoush was wonderful. It had North African spices and was very refreshing with the tziki sauce. We got the farmer the farmers plate salad over a roti that was all farm fresh veggies , it was so refreshing, we really enjoyed it. The pulled pork and boiled peanut potato skins were a perfect comfort food on a rainy day. The pork rillette and baked beans was a dish of pure goodness. The service and atmosphere was wonderful. The portions were great. They have a wonderful cocktail and wine/beer selection. They have daily menu specials. I can't wait to go back and try their adult grilled cheeses and daily deviled eggs. I totally recommend this place, they are doing all the right things.

My friend and I were very excited to try Warehouse for brunch, as we had heard nothing but rave reviews. On the positive, the atmosphere is very cool, and the menu is very creative. However, that's where our support for the establishment ends. My friend and I both have serious food sensitivities and allergies that we made explicitly clear to the waiter from the beginning. We struggled with the menu to find one dish that was gluten free and another that was dairy free. I asked the waiter to check in with the chef, who then reported back that she would refuse to make substitutions to cater to our food sensitivities/allergies as it would "ruin the integrity of the dish". At this point we should have left, but our obviously frustrated and impatient waiter finally spoke up and pointed out one dish that was "gluten free" and another that was "dairy free". Trusting his word, we ordered both. Our food arrived and we both dug into our dishes which we later realized were neither gluten or dairy free. When I brought this up to waiter, he could not have been any more unapologetic. This is inexcusable. Bottom line- Warehouse is either uninformed or just plain apathetic to the seriousness of food sensitivities and allergies.

This place was pretty cool! A big open room with a HUGE bar, pool table, foosball table, and lots of seating. The bartenders knew their stuff which was impressive since most freshly open bars have problems their first night. But not here! I ordered a specialty cocktail and the bartender started making it off the bat! It was also pretty good! It had a few different types of liquor including St Germaine and grapefruit juice with lime and soda. I love grapefruit juice with liquor (especially bourbon surprisingly FYI) so it was a great drink. Normally I order the darkest beer on the menu but I was feeling marginally girly tonight and went with a lighter liquor drink. They serve food until midnight fri and sat and and until 11 I believe week day nights. The food I saw was mostly cheese and meat plates written on a chalk board. The location is at Spring and St Philip which is a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of King street a block away. Do I think their beer list could be a bit more adventurous? Yes. There are some nice craft staples on the list such as a Holy City Porter and Westbrook IPA in the can and the Left Hand Milk Stout on tap but that's about it. Other than that it was all generic beers I could find anywhere else; nothing special. I expected more. I tried my friends tequila drink that sported jalapeno in it as well and it was pretty good. The Chef is from Teds Butcherblock so the food has to be great quality and I'm psyched to check it out. I'm jealous of my friends who literally live across the street and 2 doors down; this is going to be a great watering hole.
(4)Daniel G.
Really great vibe and a trendy, with a generally well thought out interior space. Most of the bar is dedicated to seating, and would benefit from more "relax and chill" space. Strong selection of liquors and beers with a few eclectic house cocktails. Food selection had good variety, but is mostly lighter to medium fare. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Table games (pool, foosball, shuffleboard) can be rented by the half hour at an inexpensive rate. This is a great place to come with friends for mellow conversation around great drinks.
(4)Hannah Beth R.
Relaxed vibe, FABULOUS cocktails. I had the Dirt Nap and was very pleased. Food was wonderful too-- the specialty deviled eggs and the cheeseboard, which includes pimento cheese, kumquat jelly, local strawberries, and other great cheese/crust were a southern food lover's dream. The crispy cauliflower was addictive, and the beets were fresh and flavorful. I wish I lived closer so I could eat/drink here every weekend.
(5)Olesya Z.
This is a great place for drinks and amazing small plates. It didn't feel like a college bar even though it was so close to where all the students live. It is more upscale, and we felt we fit in in our cocktail dresses and heels even though others were dressed down. The drinks menu is extensive enough that there's something for everyone. Our cocktail pitcher was tasty, and we raved about the food that we got. Grilled cheeses tasted great, and the lamb meatballs have a great unique flavor (read: lamb). It's not a quiet place at certain hours of the night but that's what you should expect with a place with couches and games.

Went for brunch this past Sunday...still does not disappoint. Unique flavors in a tasty dish - short rib benedict. Eggs were cooked perfectly and the cabbage was a nice contrast to how rich the meat was. My friend got the huevos rancheros and it was the best version I've tasted in Charleston. Love the atmosphere. Good food, good value. Will be my downtown brunch go to.

As you might expect, this place is a rectangular hexahedron with high ceilings, open floor plan and an industrial style. Whether or not you know your geometry, you'll still have a lot of fun with a long bar, pool table, foosball, and shuffleboard ! This is my second visit and both times the place has been hopping with a friendly and upbeat atmosphere.

Hands down one of the greatest spots in Charleston. The food and drinks are amazing. As far as food goes- don't miss the lamb kabobs. Or the farmers plate. Both are incredible. The place is filled with fun games including shuffle board, pool, etc. I highly recommend Warehouse to any and everyone. Enjoy!

Been coming here for a while and guess it had to happen sooner or later.....The Rueben I just tried to eat was the worse meal I''ve had in years. Nothing about it with that super well done mystery meat, lack of sauerkraut and no rye bread says Reuben.

In february james and I had a slight incident/misunderstanding. he asked me to leave the bar and I politely obliged under the condition that I would not return for 90 days. It has been 5 months since then and I have returned on a few occasions. James has apparently revoked my "privileges" of returning to warehouse and has proceeded to harass me on multiple occasions. He has come up to me in the middle of the bar, cursed me out, called me a slut, told me to go f*** myself, and dragged me aggressively out of warehouse(keep in mind i don't know james at all), then had the nerve to ask me to come apologize to him in daylight the next day. I am a petite blonde girl and he has no problem screaming in my face and physically removing me from the bar, which is an overreaction to a slight situation that again, happened 5 months ago. The fact that he would speak to any customer, especially a woman this way is disgusting, and I will not support a business that has such low morals. This lunatic is out of control! hire a new manager who has respect for customers, acts professionally, and is an actual human being. Thank you.

Warehouse is a pretty cool, mildly upscale bar tucked on the upper end of Spring Street. Right now, it's the first new and interesting location for food and drinks in what used to be a fairly rough area but is now heavily transitioning to college kids and young professionals. It's a spacious location with a long bar and all the tables and music venue all together in one large, high ceiling room. They have a large full bar and a cocktail oriented menu with tapas. They also have rotating specials and a couple of unique deviled eggs each day. Had the fried oyster deviled egg and the caprese egg. They were both awesome! Definitely get an egg or two while you're there! Also, they have one of the finest beers you can drink, Duchesse de Bourgogne, in a 750ml bottle for only $15! That's easily what it costs to buy in the stores so it's awesome you can snag that in a bar for the same price! Definitely try that if you are so inclined! Overall, for the time I was there, I had a great time and some great beer! Service was really prompt and very friendly. I'd definitely try it again as a stop on a night out!

What a great spot, Great food, huge bar and inventive drinks. PLUS a Pool Table in the back! Can't wait to get back there. Best Bar in the City.

I will start off by saying I used to love this place. I always had a great time drinking beer, eating food, and enjoying friendly company; that all changed when I met one of the owners, James. He's the tall guy with greasy curly black hair. James is an absolute terrible businessman with a bad attitude. I'll you how I know this... My friend was enjoying his Birthday there, our group started a quiet Birthday chant in the corner to celebrate. James stormed over and viciously lashed out at us, telling us we were being "immature". I felt so bad and wanted to offer offer an apology. When I did, he looked at me and remarked; "go f@#k yourself, you can never spend another dime in this place again and I wouldn't give a sh!t". He than proceeded to act like a 6th grade girl and bump shoulders with me as he walked back to the bar acting like a big shot. My second bad JAMES experience, was when I witnessed three customers casually drinking at the bar for about a half hour, raking up what had to have been a $40 tab. Out of the blue JAMES demanded to see their ID's again. When they showed them they were of age, he did didn't believe the new Georgia state issued licenses were real. He threatened to call the cops on them (and did) and acted like a big baby when he found out he was a wrong and they were really 23. On a side note, the bartenders are great people (especially Duncan and Autumn), the atmosphere is cool. THE ONLY THING BAD ABOUT THIS PLACE IS A TERRIBLE OWNER NAMED JAMES.

This place is where it's at. I have been there three time, and during every one, the food has been FANTASTIC. I love their cocktail specials, and their brunch may in fact be the best in Charleston (seriously). The service was great as well. I can say that I recommend Warehouse in every way.

A hip, trendy bar/restaurant that should not be missed! I have been to this place three times so far and have had a blast each time! First, the Warehouse has a modern industrial feel to it unlike most bars in Charleston. The service from the bouncers to the bartenders is top notch. The drinks are very well-priced for the setting. My girlfriend had the Honey Boo-Boo, yes they have a drink named that, and it was delicious. The bar has an amazing soundtrack with old school hip-hop tunes and even a few electronic jams thrown in. Plus, they never play the music too loud where you cannot even carry a conversation. They also try to keep the bar social and so they do not let in too many people. Nothing is worse than being at a bar and not being able to move anywhere or get a drink. Last but not least, they have a FOOSBALL table! Thanks Warehouse for having one of my all-time favorite games. I have yet to try out the food. An update will follow once I get down there before late-night.

Fantastic food, great drinks, and a really neat space. I would highly recommend Warehouse to anyone in the area. The deviled eggs are amazingly flavorful-I cannot wait to return! The grilled cheeses are also pretty amazing-a must try. Libations are also innovative; some mix craft beers and liquors. GREAT place!!

Tonight was my first night eating at Warehouse and I was very pleasantly surprised. I have been there before and enjoyed their beer cocktails but tonight I wanted to sit down and have dinner. Our server, Will, was awesome from the very beginning. They were having a slower night but he was right on the ball and noticed us as soon as we arrived and gave us great service throughout the night. Many times, when restaurants are slow the service is the worst, but he took the opportunity to be extra thoughtful. He was informed on the drinks and menu and what he didn't know he quickly found out and reported back on. The food was also delicious - we loved the farmers plate and the noodle bowl. The panzanella salad would have been stellar if the croutons had been a bit crunchier, but it was tasty none the less. The quality of the service plus the quality of the food resulted in an awesome evening, far beyond my expectations. Thank you Will for your great hospitality!
