First time here and it is everything I needed. My breakfast bagel sandwich is awesome. I was able to pick my type of bagel and cheese. I really like choices! It was out quick and hot to go! I'll be back!

Sweet and Savory Cafe is a new place on Spring Street. I decided to try the place when they placed a menu on my car. The atmosphere is terrible. The inside looks like it needs to be re-renovated. It has a pretty cool mural patting of a fountain but that is really their only decor or sign of personality. I ordered a chicken biscuit was ~2.5 inches in diameter and had fried greasy chicken in the middle of it. The biscuit tasted fine, but it was nothing special.... Too small for an order. We ordered 2 chicken biscuits, a regular coffee and a bottled water and with tip our total was around 14 dollars. This was not money well spent. I will not be coming back to Sweet and Savory. They have good potential, but until they make more improvements to their business look and price value for food, I will not be returning.

I dont know what david and cam are thinking, but this place is as good as it gets! I frequent sweet and savory due to my close proximity and it never fails to reign supreme. The food is delicious. I get something different every time I go in and it is always tasty. The chicken biscuits are off the charts. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My husband and I were in Charleston for vacation. We stumbled across this cute little cafe simply by happenstance as it was located less than a block away from the condo we rented. We presumed we would swing in a grab a pastry and head back to the condo. Boy were we wrong! When we walked in Elyse (I think I'm spelling it correctly) greeted us with a smile. When we didn't see any pastries in the display we asked it they served breakfast. We were given a menu and Elyse gave us some great suggestions. We ended up with 2 chicken biscuits, a cinnamon arisen bagel and strawberry cream cheese. Oh, did I mention that all of the aforementioned items (including the cream cheese) were freshly made in house just moments earlier? The chicken was beyond flavorful and my husband said the bagel (and homemade cream cheese) was the best he's ever had (and he makes his own). And if that weren't enough Elyse took our preorder for tomorrow and said they would make us some homemade donuts and fritters (something that's not on the menu). Needless to say we will definitely be back again!

Kind of obsessed with fried chicken and stopped by here for a to-go lunch on Saturday after a friend recommended it. Definitely not disappointed. Got a fried chicken sandwich with perfectly fried chicken with a little spicy mayo/aioli, nice greens, and soft bun...with a side freshly baked biscuit for only $8! I just had Leon's the day before...and while tasty, doesn't justify the $13+ price tag. I will be coming back to Sweet and Savory for my fried chicken fix for now on.
