Plenty of nice tables, clean, good rock music, non-rowdy no wild clientele. Place was packed on Wednesday with a tournament, but there are always tables available for non-tournament clientele . Everyone was well-behaved..a diverse crowd of younger to senior and all walks of life. I felt very comfortable there. For a full-house I could not believe how quiet it was, no drunks or profanity, no smoking. Food is always great and not greasy..love their chicken crunchers and ripple fries. Friendly staff. Bar area is separate from the pool area with ample seating and tv screens. They are no longer open on Sunday though...the Players in the Festival Centre corner of Ashley Phosphate and and Dorchester Rd. is open Sundays and is not as big, but has ample tables and good food , friendly staff as well.

My husband plays here weekly and one time a month or so ago I went along with him. There are lots of tables and it was adequately lit for the players. There is a bar, and waitresses circulate the room to bring the players and their companions food and drinks. I saw one waitress walk by with a very good-looking burger and fries, and it looked so good I decided to order. I got a basket of wings and a basket of fries. The wings came in two flavors (choose from several) and we chose Teriyaki and Buffalo. My Teriyaki were hot and flavorful and saucy. My husband really liked the Buffalo ones. He didn't care for the fact that you have to pay extra for celery and bleu cheese, but he got it anyway and there was a large portion. My favorite was the fries, which came as a generous portion of slightly salted and blazingly hot crinkle cuts. There's nothing quite like biting into a super hot french fry dipped in icy cold ketchup! We got a glass of house Merlot, which was disappointingly small. My husband said that the glasses used to be standard size, but they recently got new -- and smaller -- glasses. Sad. The price didn't change. Overall a good evening. We'll be back many times.

I've been in the APA league for about 5 years now. Almost all of my Money Cup and City tournaments have been held here. And boy am I happy to hear the words, "We're playing at Players Place" from my captain when those tourny's come up. First, all the pool tables are clean, very well lit, and fast rolling. Some of the best tables around... If not the best tables around. The servers walk and scan the table constantly offering menu's and drinks. I've never had a bad server. They are all very sweet. When you walk into this place, you would never expect to order food that isn't anything above typical bar food. But man, the food is great! I've had the wraps, hot and cold sammy's, etc.. everything is honestly very good. Plus the portions are quite large. The only thing I wish was better were the bathrooms which could be updated and cleaner and the bartenders never seem to be very happy. I rarely get a hello or a smile from them. Little things but come on, make me feel wanted and spending money. All in all, I love this place.

I come here every Wednesday for league night and I always have a great time! Drinks are cheap and the tables are in excellent condition. The balls roll super fast and I've definitely seen my game improve as a result of playing here every week. I might even start hustling at AC's on the weekend. Staff is super friendly and kind. The only thing I can complain about is that they discontinued the mac bites (but they're still listed on the menu).

The biggest and best billiard in Charleston. Does not tolerate underage or thug. Enjoy a great burger, amazing onion rings, or whatever else you find on the menu.
