Second try and I'm even more disappointed than I was last time. The staff seemed inept in taking my delivery order. One guy needs to work on his stand up routine when he's not on the clock. The Beef Lo Mein had a fishy taste to it. The Beef with Broccoli was just okay and the Broccoli was overcooked and soggy. I found just three tiny pieces of Chicken in my Chicken Chow Mein and they were swimming in a sea of limp onions and celery with very little sauce. This concludes my search for good Chinese delivery in the '414' part of West Ashley. I've tried others and they are just as awful.

#YAAASSSS, hahaha. So, I'm Asian (and Captain Obvious, if you've looked at my profile photo), and I can say with 100% confidence that this place gives you exactly what you'd expect from an American-Asian food place-- which is a good thing! I had been searching Charleston high and low for a place that just had the usual stuff (general tso's, orange chicken, eggrolls, etc) done well, and this place was the last place I expected. The inside leaves a lot to be desired, but delivery and carry-out is always an option. Also, for those that are scared (I see you!), this place's employees are fluent in English (no accents either), so you can order over the phone without any language barriers. You can also order online, but they gave me pork fried rice instead of steamed fried rice once, so I've moved away from that. But hoorah for Panda Palace! Their pork eggrolls (which are basically all cabbage and no pork, which I actually prefer) are delicious!!! I would recommend this place to any person just wanting typical Americanized Asian food. Tips: the orange chicken is breaded like you would expect sweet and sour chicken to be breaded, but some of the chicken dishes (like the kung pao chicken) have slices of non-breaded, white-meat chicken. You may have to call and ask if you're really particular about stuff like that. Happy eating!

Food took 30 mins to come out; it was good; egg roll could've been better; restaurant could use a goo scrub; order taker was nice.

My housemate had ordered cashew and general Tso's chicken, received huge, beautiful sparkling portions that look and smelled delicious. And his (plethora of) leftovers had been mocking me in the refrigerator. So I called on the way home and ordered spicy chicken Pad Thai. Which isn't Chinese. Not at all. I was relieved to find that there are no actual pandas at this location. When I got there the guy behind the counter was very sweet, fast, courteous, all of those good things. I ate my egg roll in the car and it was great, standard egg roll goodness. Pad thai was pink from the tamarind paste, came with no bean sprouts or lime. Some scrambled egg was present in the mix to keep things kosher, as was a tiny bit of basil. The chicken that I could identify in the noodles was thinly sliced, same pinkish hue and just okay - sort of bland. Spice was non existent. I ate it all nonetheless because a) I am poor and b) whatever But I'm the dummy who ordered a Thai dish here, instead of Chinese food. I'll take the hit. I'll totally go back, just not ever for Thai food.

This is the best take-out food I've found in West Ashley. Its affordable & delicious. Its got your standard Chinese take-out options & prices. I normally get the mei fun, steak & peppers, sesame chicken, crab ragoons, & dumplings. All of which are very satisfactory. Also they speak great English & have amazing customer service.

It was around 8pm, I still hadn't eaten dinner, I was feeling like a bum and did want to go out for dinner. So I decided on Take Out. I have to agree with Amy Y on this one, The best Chinese take out in West Ashley. Mongolian Beef and the General Tso's chicken are very good, I also added the Cheese Crab meat rangoons as an appetizer and they gave me 2 egg rolls for FREE. The delivery was quick and I even completed mt whole order and payment online, so I didn't have to give my CC# over the phone, which is a bonus in my book. Check it out.

Today was my first time, I was doing laundry and figured I would try it. I just ordered chicken fried rice and was very disappointed, very little flavor but it was hot. Service need work, very unhappy faces.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
