Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Love me some Paisano's! It's the best pizza around! I usually order delivery. They are always super friendly on the phone, but expect to be put on hold for just a second when you call. The food is delivered quickly and it is always still nice and hot! The one time they did mess up my order, the delivery guy insisted on bringing me back my correct order, no exchanges, no extra charge, and fast! The drivers guys are very personable too, always showing up with a smile on their face. (And they have late night delivery too!) I have picked up my order a few times as well. The restaurant is clean and you can see into the kitchen too, which is also clean. There is a very laid back, welcome home feeling about the place. And the food...the food is fantastic!! They have daily dine-in lunch specials and daily specials that they honor even for delivery. My favorite...the bacon rancheros pizza!! And their Greek salads are huge and always fresh! If you're visiting the area, try something different every time you're here...you won't be disappointed!

Had this pizza twice while on vacation via delivery & was not very impressed. Let me start out by saying I don't like my pizza with a ton of sauce so when ordering I always ask for light sauce.... Either this wasn't ignored or they have super saucy pizza. I wasn't a fan of the sauce, I felt the toppings were skimpy & the pizza crust on the bottom was soggy upon arrival despite only being a few miles from the location. I would try someplace else next time.

Great local pizza, wings and sandwiches. Fast delivery--even when they say 45 minutes it's more like 30. Great classic atmosphere inside with video games for kids. Cheap beer specials. There isn't a pizza place in Charleston that touches Connecticut heaven but this is about as good as it gets for local pizza. Also, you can place a delivery or takeout order via text message with eatabit.com -- well played.

Great pizza, good neighborhood vibe. Everything I've ever had there has been good. Good crust on the pizza and they know how to cook it well with good quality toppings. They do have draft beer for pints and pitchers. Good wings too. Could be 5 star if they had Siracha and sometimes the have Pop Country music playing, sorry, that's a star deduction!!!
(4)Derek L.
We decided to give this place a second shot and I do not believe there will be a 3rd. The cheese pizza just tastes like tomato sauce not pizza. Greek salad was okay. As a pizza place this should be a 1 star but I'm being optimistic that perhaps something other than pizza is good here.

This place is delicious. From the pizza, to the calzones, sandwiches, and salad, over the years I have sampled it all. Their ingredients are always fresh. The customer service is always kind and courteous. They have never made me wait longer than quoted for carry-out or delivery. I highly recommend this place!

Great pizza selections. Green Thumb is a rocking pie! BUT make sure it's not over cooked and the chicken is tender. The Fat Boy is disgusting, greasy and a lot of dough. Subjective taste. Prices are a bit steep if you're comparing to Papas or other chains. But these are specialty pies and not throw on ingredients. Beer specials in house depending on night, which is nice. Not tons of seating inside so pick up option is good to go with a liquor shop (I think they have beer, never been inside) next door. One bad thing, they are busy on Friday and Saturday and ordering a pie by pain is a pain in the ass. They need to improve on this because I've given up and went somewhere else a couple of times.

Had pizza, good, spicy comfort food. Nice Pizza place. Good service. Better than the cousin in West Ashley. Feel sorry for the staff, since you order, pay and sit to wait for your food. They do not get a chance to actually work the customer, thus "tips". I hope they get a good salary. Yes, there is a tip jar at the counter. FrankG

I've only had their delivery/pick-up pizza, so any pie has always been exposed to the cardboard box test. Unfortunately, I don't think it does very well. I mean, it's OK, but I honestly don't think it's much better than Papa John's. Since PJ's is so much cheaper...I'd pick that next time if I'm ordering in. I heard the actual pizza place interior is pretty classic so sometime I'll go there and have the pizza fresh from the oven to give them another shot.

The best pizza in Charleston for sure. Some amazing pies with lots of flavors. Try the Zeus with chicken
(4)Greg P.
LOVE this place. Pizza is great, wings are great. Service is a little disjointed sometimes, but I think its partly due to the layout of the structure of the restaurant. Their food reminds me of pizza and wings that I enjoyed while growing up in upstate NY.

First time I have reviewed this place and first time I have had their pizza. I only had delivery and did not go in. The payment and delivery were great. No issues. It was just that the pizza was just so-so. I am a pizza lover and bought 4 pies for a small group of teenagers. First words from one was I give this 4 Stars. And then the stake in the heart. "Out of 10" They really did not love the pizza. I was shocked as I had heard good things and the reviews look great but then I read Liz's and it sounds about the same. I thought the service was very good and I appreciate that but the pizza was just not that good. Got 4 different larges with 1 topping each. Not a huge amount of choices on James Island but next time I order sandwiches. Had them before and great. Betting that a visit in the store would be good as well.
(3)Jessica H.
I've tried all the pizza joints in a 30 mile radius, and Paisanos is by far the best. I've haven't had anything short of delicious! I discovered this James Island gem in the wee hours, and was very surprised when it tasted just as good if not better when I tried it again ( not at 3am). Write this one down, AND they deliver until 4am.
(5)Carol T.
Fantastic veggie calzones. The crust has the right amount of crispness. Also they have a caring staff.
(5)Drew E.
Great pizza--and they deliver!! Sometimes hard to get through on the phone to order delivery...
(3)Phoebe H.
The pizza here is delicious. Delivery fast, dude are nice as can be. Get the Fat Boy. It has the best crust with garlic baked inside, and the sauce has fresh basil leaves. I don't even think the authentic Italian tongue could decipher a difference between this American deep dish and its original counterpart!
(5)Leah A.
Amazing pizza and wings. Everything came out piping hot and cooked to perfection! I had the italian pizza and dry rubbed wings. Such an asset to JI!
(5)Annie B.
Their food is delicious, but we don't go there as much anymore because my sister used to work there and they treated her like crap. She even told us a story one time about how someone cut their hand and got blood all in the basil, they used the basil anyway!! Apparently that kind of thing happens a lot there! I'm not saying their food isn't amazing, but I don't want to find a finger in my food ever!
(3)Nick S.
I eat out a lot and think Paisanos is the best deal in town. The food is consistently delicious and hot regardless of whether I do pick up or delivery. The best is when I eat there and get the pizza straight out of the oven. Philly cheesesteak is the best in town!
(5)Sharleen J.
DH and I have dinner here at least once a month. Our usual order is a medium pepperoni pizza with a large Greek salad (which comes in a mixing bowl), and if DH is craving more protein sometimes we'll add on some spicy chicken wings. The setting is casual and comfortable, the prices are reasonable, and the food is consistently good. The pizza is FAR superior to any of the chain options! Paisano's also has great weekday lunch deals, for eat-in or take-out.
(4)Erica H.
Great little hole in the wall that we totally almost overlooked except they are apparently the only place serving food after 10pm on a Sunday on this island. Try the crajun (ranch/Cajun) dry rub wings. Pizza was delish too.
(5)Kayla A.
Paisano's may be the best pizza joint in Charleston. We order a different Specialty Pizza each time we go, and each one has it's own unique taste and flavor. They have great deals every day which makes it affordable for date night or family night. The staff is always friendly, timely, and makes an effort to produce quality service. Love this place!
(5)Vinnie L.
Food is consistent and drivers are generally quite nice. Been ordering from here since the day they opened.
(3)Paula B.
Best pizza on james island... And maybe anywhere.
(5)Sasha S.
I have been ordering here for a while and yet found a wow.. Pizza not bad, wings, sandwiches, gyro. The only thing is spicy BBQ sauce wings is great. Turkey sandwiches, clubs, teriyaki wings whatever its okay but not like wow. Also don't advice paying extra buck for fries bc sandwiches are big and get min fries anyway so dont bother. also no other heathy or good sides/ options are ( free chips, 1 xtra fries, or 3 dollar salad) ...Anyways.. Had a gyro tonight and was so wet and soggy just threw it in trash. Grouse. Been Ordering here a while . It's not worth staying a regular for just one type of sauce. no thank you but nothing has ever made me feel I had to have this place that I can't get elsewhere better all around in areas..
(1)Chris P.
Pizza and wings are great for the price. Apparently there are deals every night. I am not sure which day combines the pizza and wings...but that is the way to go. Try the dry rub.
