I think I like this location better than I'on! It is really open and clean, with a ton of televisions. We were promptly greeted and attended to - totally excellent draft list - Bell's Two Hearted, Lagunitas IPA, and Stone IPA? In addition to like 15 other drafts that were solid? I was in heaven! I got some ridiculous huge burger and it was amazing, Pax's hot dog was cut in a funny way to entertain whatever kid ordered it - I always like when cooks do fun things for kids. Very solid showing and I will most definitely be back!

So we live out here on 41, and our options are limited. Why oh why do I keep trying to give this place a chance I have no idea. The food is just not good at all. Thank God for Toffinos. Obrions, I'm done trying.

I've tried the I'on version, so I figured this would be about the same. It was - fairly predictable bar food, sandwiches, burgers, etc. Nothing outstanding, noting terrible either. Drinks were a full (and then some) pour, waitstaff friendly and fast. Friday night football preseason was loud - but that's what this bar is all about!!

This place is your average sports pub, and you shouldn't expect anything else. There are a lack of places to hang out in this area of town, so it draws a big crowd from Park West and Dunes West neighborhoods. The menu is basic pub grub, they have beers on tap, a decent selection, plus a full bar. The bar is a big square in the center of the restaurant, and it is often crowded by the same locals sitting around rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers (mid-west/northeast transplants in MTP...shocking) and nursing Bud Light bottles. The surrounding restaurant portion of the place is a better selection for seating, and often occupied by families grabbing a bite and watching some games, so it is definitely family friendly...as long as you can see past the bar patrons yelling things like "bullshit!" at the TV as loud as they can every time the Steelers are flagged for a penalty. It is clean, with decent service, plenty of seating, and tons of big TV's. If you live local and need to get out of the house for a bite of pub food or want to watch a game and have a drink, this is a decent, convenient oasis.

Had to finally add a listing for the Rivetowne location for this place because I've had so many bad experiences here. The food is horrible. I banned this place over a year ago because I had too many bad experiences - a cobb salad that was not fresh, a panini that wasn't grilled, basic items that just came out bad. I was excited for a new place with a lot of taps but over time found the taps really aren't great. Last night I was desperate because we were passing by on the way home after a long trip so figured I'd give it one more try. It's been a while. I should know better. The food is just awful. Not sure who is cooking back there - but nothing is good. My husband's pastrami rueben was more consistent with cat meat. Not having ever tried cat - I think it probably would be better than whatever they put on his sandwich. And it only had half of what's supposed to be on a reuben - I'm not sure they know how to make one, but the ingredients were certainly listed on the menu! I went the "safe" route with a Turkey wrap. The turkey was wet and "mealy" - not sure what consistency it was, but it was gross. We never should have eaten, should have sent everything back, but desperation won out. That's our fault. But I'm convinced that if we did send the reuben back, they really wouldn't have sent out anything different. I know what pastrami should look and taste like - this was no where near it. Maybe really dried out roast beef? Didn't even see roast beef on the menu so I"m not sure that was it. Felt very sorry for the nice waitress - she was very uncomfortable as she said she thought the air conditioning was broken - it was very hot in there, figured it was just because it was hot outside. She did not believe so and no one on staff seemed to be looking into not. Not sure who manages this place but there's not one person in there who looks like they are in charge. Quality control in the kitchen is a serious problem.
