Good atmosphere but I have to go through the kitchen to use the restroom. Also the Reuben is toasted and not grilled. Just get the waffle fries. Those frozen buggers weren't bad.

I definitely frequented this place during my six weeks in Charleston and it never got dull for me. I love a good sports bar that serves good food. I recommend the various egg rolls; my husband was a fan of the macaroni but I really liked the baked potato egg rolls... they at least have an appetizer that servers one of each of the variations if you can't decide on one. The staff was great and polite. No matter where you sit you can see a television. You can even request one to be changed if you can't quite see your game on another TV. They are all pretty cool about it here. Also, you can't go wrong with clean bathrooms. For real.

King Street Grille is the destination for sports fans on King street. Essentially if the game is televised, they will put it on one of their 35+ screens and you can enjoy well priced beer and good food. Upstairs there is a private room which you can rent out. It has a massive TV along with thirteen stadium style lay-z boy chairs.

KSG is One step up from Applebee's but not special enough to warrant a return trip. It's a safe bet if you're downtown and looking for sports on flatscreen TV's and food that's passable. For the burger: I got the southwest burger which came with waffle fries. The concept behind the burger was wonderful, bacon and smoked gouda on a pretzel roll. That part was very good, but it was all for naught once I bit into the two well done, pre-frozen, cookie cutter Sysco patties. Serving two patties, tells me that the chef knows that his burgers leave a little to be desired. Why not just use regular non-frozen ground beef and hand form it? If KSG started doing that I could easily give them thier fourth star, with the fifth taking a little more effort in other areas of the menu.

Lots of TVs and the food looked good. I didn't get a chance to try it because it was about 85 degrees in there. I got through a half a beer and was sweating so bad I had to leave. The manager said their AC can't cool the place properly on hot days. It was 87 in Charleston today. I'd hate to feel what that place feels like when its 95+ outside.

It's the best you can expect from a busy sports bar, but the cajun grilled chicken sandwich is one of the best I've ever had. And the waffle fries are amazing as well.

We ended up here for lunch on the 4th of July because a lot of other places were closed. They were open and gave us free coffee, so that was nice and appreciated. Service was hit or miss. Everyone was nice, but the waitress told us that she needed to wait to put the food order in because the chef was "overwhelmed." I'm not sure if they weren't expected anyone to show up, but it took a long time to get our food. A few people enjoyed their food (lettuce wrap, veggie pannini, thai chicken wrap). The chicken dish was overcooked and my po boy tasted like it was from Applebee's. No flavor at all. Had an impressive beer selection and I'm sure it's a great place to watch sports.

For a bar and grill, King Street is very clean and very focused on the service, atmosphere and entertainment of the customers. The downtown location has 20 plus TV sets, booths, high tops and tables to meet all needs. There is even a VIP room with leather recliners and a large flat screen. The food is actually very well prepared but keep in mind when it is crowded it is very very loud. Don't forget, Monday night is $2.50 margarita night and $1.50 tacos.

Great for catching a game, but an otherwise average location amidst many superior Charleston selections. They have a TON of TVs and will make sure you can see your favorite team playing on the screen nearest your table. Call ahead and they can tell you if they carry the right channel. Overall, a quality sports bar in downtown. The first few bites of their burgers are tasty, but everything after that is overcome by just how greasy they are. Their pretzel buns are unique and enjoyable, but I don't plan on paying that much for an average, greasy burger again at this place. I may try their other options if I go back, but unless a big group of friends is trying to meet here for a specific game, I'll find myself a better place to go.

Nice casual place. Stopped in for lunch and had the chicken chesapeake sandwich which was great. Beer specials were good (New Belgium) and a great selection of bottled beers.

A bar in downtown Charleston, The service was friendly but very unpolished. The female bartender very attractive, but very inexperienced. The Burger was actually very tasty, roll a little chewy. The decor is nice but beat up, I am sure this place does a ton of drinking biz late at night....

While it advertises for families - it wasn't good. Way too much noise for my 4 & 2 year old grandchildren. The food was poor and pricey for what we received. I ordered a bloody mary w/o spice. It came back so hot I could not drink it.

We found King Street Grille through Yelp while visiting Charleston. It was within walking distance from our bed and breakfast at the Palmer's Pinckney Inn. Three of us split and enjoyed the appetizer grilled chicken nachos while watching college football. The manager was super nice and gladly changed the tv to our game of preference. The atmosphere was great and the perfect environment to watch college football. All the food looked so good coming out to other tables that we returned the following night to actually eat dinner. We had the bbq chicken sandwich, the philly cheese steak, and the po-boy. All of our food was fabulous and the fries were delicious. Our waitresses both days were great and we would recommend King Street Grille to everyone.

Loved the egg roll sampler. The Charleston chicken and chicken Madeira were terrific. Megan, our waitress was very helpful. Would good back again.

We stopped by here, hungry and wanting some decent food, on our way home from walking around and touring Charleston. Yes, it was worth a beer. A beer. A decent beer. And I have no complaints about that beer. But that's IT! Looking at the menu there was not a single thing to inspire. Not a single reason to stay a minute longer in this place. Yes there was football going on.... a Georgia game too (which people seemed to be into). But it was one beer that was it. We left not feeling the slightest bit inspired to order dinner. Can't they improve their menu to inspire? I suppose not. Won't be back here next time I'm in Charleston. I would suggest anyone else head there either.

Lunch took 45 minutes to get our Philly cheesesteak and two burgers which all came out cold. Disappointed by the food and slow service.

Stopped by here to enjoy a few beers right after getting into town. From the outside this place looks like a great sports bar, on par with places like Taco Mac in Atlanta (where I am from). After getting our food, I realized it was not one of those places. We waited just a brief minute for a table so I got a beer at the bar. The first thing I realized is non-HD programming on the plasma TVs. Normally I would not notice or even care but the picture quality on many of the TV's was sub-par, especially for an event such as march madness. Do they just not pay for HD service? Call me picky, which I am, but I expect that in a place like this. On to bigger, more important gripes: I ordered the nachos, as I do very often and because it was Friday. Friends ordered the appetizer sampler. They seemed to enjoy the egg rolls but I didnt hear much about the other food. My nachos were not very good, though they are plentiful. They are covered in stadium-style cheese (as in processed cheese) and then sprinkled with a grated cheese mixture that made me feel like they were trying to cover up the crime. I ate it and the nachos were OK, but not what I was hoping for. We ordered a couple more beers and then left to head back up King street to another bar.

Food was greasy and yummy. My husband and I had two different burgers and loved them. We will of course have to go to the gym for a week to burn them off but worth it. Not a fan of the fries but still would recommend. Plus thanks to our waiter who knows his beer my husband found a new beer he likes. Sat upstairs and you could see 5 tvs which is awesome. We will visit again,if we are back. Ps - my husbands an Eagles fan and myself a Redskins and we still like it.

I am giving this place two stars for the pretzel buns that the hamburgers come on. Hostess was unfriendly and seemed annoyed to be at work. Waitress was pretty much the same way. Appetizer came out the same time as the food. To top it off the waitress brought out three burgers and fries and NO ketchup! Come on! She ran away before we could even get the words out to ask for some. Wouldn't go back. There is plenty of friendly places in Charleston I would rather be.

Currently eating one of the WORST crabcake sandwiches EVER. I would pay more to punt this thing down King Street than to actually eat it. Don't think I can eat here again.

This was my first (and last) time visiting King Street Grille. I had a colleague in town and decided to stop in here for lunch one day. I've been to other dimly lit sports bars, but this place was dark, like entering a cave. We ordered an appetizer which showed up with our main entree all of which took forever to get to our table. They weren't even busy yet, so I don't fully understand why, but oh well. Food was mediocre, definitely nothing special and seemed like it had been sitting for a while (you know the look of cheese when it's congealed a bit? That was my clue in) not to mention both entrees were luke warm. Hard to eat mediocre food in a great eating city like Charleston, so I won't be stopping in again, let alone recommend it to friends.

  • Mike S.

Stopped in for a beer while my wife and I tried to figure out where to go for dinner (we were looking for something light, which was in short supply here). Overall...decent selection of beer, nothing special, but not bad either.

  • L W.

Very reliable sports bar on King in downtown Charleston. Very good beer selection and expansive bar food menu. Had the filet sandwich - very tasty. Service was friendly but somewhat spotty, which could've been due to a fairly good-sized crowd to watch the Heat-Mavs game. Wouldn't hesitate to come back though.

Everytime I visit town I make a point to visit King Street Grille. It is right on the King Street and you know exactly what you are getting which is good food. There is nothing worse than traveling and overpaying for poor food. I took my parents here and they said it was the best place we ate at during the trip. That says alot they are too big foodies and are very particular. I recommend the nachos, crab cakes and sweet tea chicken! For a pub the food is above average and the beer selection is also top notch I will be back.

I was in Charleston on business and since it was a big week for football, my co-workers and I were always on the look out for places to eat with the game on. We went to two different locations for The King Street Grill, the one downtown Charleston and the one at The Northwoods Mall. The downtown location was great and if I never went to the other location I'd have given this place 4 stars. I ordered the portabella mushroom wrap both times. The dish was delicious at the downtown location and I was excited to have it a second time at the mall location. However, when the waitress brought out our food I noticed that the presentation was awful. It looked like they just took the mushroom and wrapped it up in a tortilla like a present. I cut into it and to my surprise she had brought me a hamburger and not a portabella mushroom. I flagged the waitress down and she took my plate away. My dinner mates enjoyed their meals while I waited another 15 minutes for them to cook a mushroom cap (really?). When I finally got my dinner, it tasted fine but I wouldn't go to the mall location again.

Such inconsiderate service! Although the restaurant is not busy it takes a long time to get seated. When you do get seated it will take approx 20 minutes for someone to acknowledge you. We had 4 waiters walk by us and not even ask if we had been helped. We were obviously seeking someone to help us. We finally had to ask the hostess if we had a waitress. We watched as the hostess went up to a waitress who was standing watching the Olympics. She came over chewing gum which is gross when handling food and beverage for others. We finally got our beers and she has yet to return to offer a second round. Everyone around us receiving the same service. There is a manager around, but he was busy eating fries. He never came around to check on service.

this is a good solid sports bar. lot's of screens all around the high ceiling with two giant ones behind the bar. the food is above average bar food with some healthy choices and salads.

The location is great; King Street Grille is right downtime and perfect for watching games and enjoying a few beers with friends. I had a personalized chop salad, macaroni and cheese eggrolls (!) and we all shared the nachos. The nachos were fantastic but the eggrolls were a little much in the way of richness. It definitely is loud and the service could have been a little better. I really enjoyed the atmosphere though and wondered what could have been the original use of the building before becoming the King Street Grille.

King Street Grille is a nicer sports bar with a more sophisticated menu than your average sports bar. It's a great place to get lunch or to watch watch a game with a very interesting menu and a great setup. My biggest issue was deciding on just one thing for my lunch. I tried the Spanish Fly Burger, partly because it sounded great and partly because it felt so original. The burger was was great and blended the best parts of a standard burger with the spices and elements of Mexican food. This is definitely a place I would go back to on my next trip to South Carolina.

I would have loved to review the king street grill but the two hostesses left us standing at the hostess stand and took over 5 minutes to even greet us.... It wasn't that busy and they were up at the hostess stand... There are entirely too many restaurants on King Street to be treated this way. Not to worry we got great hospitality a few doors down!

I've been to most King Street Grille locations, and I must say that the one on King lags behind the others. Been to this location about 10 times, and it's been underwhelming more than overwhelming, with our last visit being the worst. The food is typical for all KSG's, which is still above average. I still say their buffalo ranch wings with cheese fries is one of the best meals in Charleston. Service has always been below average for this location (and that's giving consideration for the servers who have to walk the stairs). On our last visit, we were greeted with a broken air conditioner on a 99 degree June afternoon. I can understand A/C's braking down, but at least 1) let us know before we sit down, 2) offer an apology or 3) offer a discount drink or app.

Most places in the area were closed on Thanksgiving day and we were in need of lunch, so we wandered into this place. The place was pretty packed and they had at least a dozen TVs on to guarantee that every patron could find at least one game of interest, except for me because I hate watching sports in general. I chose the "create your own salad" option and opted for mixed greens blackened mahi mahi, mushrooms, cucumber, hearts of palm, roasted red peppers, tomato, with balsamic vinegar & oil for my dressing. My partner ordered a blackened chicken sandwich, and we also each ordered a beer. Our waitress was nice and the food was pretty good, although they forgot my mushrooms, the waitress brought me some after I mentioned it. If you like watching sports, this is a great place to go because they have a decent selection of beers and their food isn't bad.

Good food. Great service. Burgers are solid and everything is very moderately priced.

  • Kimber C.

This is a good bar kind of place, so I'll rate it based on that vs strictly a restaurant. There are a lot of TVs lining the place, so that's good. It's loud, so you won't hear any of them. The food: I recommend the half portion. I had 1/2 portion chicken and it was one breast instead of 2 and smaller portion of mashed potatoes. I'm a fan of places that offer smaller plates for a smaller price on their menu. Happy hour wine was ok too. You obviously won't get a pricey bottle from a place like this, so don't expect anything fancy. I'll rerun in the future.

  • Hannah M.

I'm not going to lie. This place just sucks. The service is always nice, the food is lacking flavors BIG TIME. Since when should a customer have to ask the waiter for spices from the kitchen? Haha. I mean seriously. And im not talking about salt and pepper. So terrible. And way over priced for what you're offering.

We came in last night and drinks were good bartenders were attentive and spot on with drinks, we closed the bar and decided- why not come back, so we did... Eating dinner tonight not even sort of disappointed!! I had prime rib wrap, Terry had fish and chips!! WOW I would be so happy if someone served this locally.

Meh. I was walking down King and desperately needed food after 10pm on a Saturday night. If you're looking to watch 10 things at once - this is your place. It wasn't really my place because I was getting sleepy, hungry and the lack of AC made it just right for rapidly advancing my tiredness. The food was alright - nothing spectacular, but the service was good.

Before we went to the airport to go home, I needed to find a sports bar to watch some of the NASCAR race. It started at 11AM and King Street Grille opened at 11AM. SWEEEET. We actually had to wait a minute before the place opened and we were the first ones in the place. They sat us right up in the front window and we had our very own private TV just for our table. I couldn't have asked for more. And when I asked for the TV to be on the NASCAR race they turned it on there....once they made sure it wasn't Lord of the Rings and was actually the race, that is. Ha! Being up there even allowed me to have my app playing on my phone so I could hear my driver's scanner while watching the race. I give 4 stars for this alone. Food was bar food but I did really like the make your own salad option. You picked your greens, 5 items, a meat, and your dressing. It was a pretty damn good salad if I do say so myself and thanks for not scrimping on the bacon! Our waitress was nice and it was fun to sit in the window and watch people walk by. The rest of the joint has TVs everywhere and it started to get pretty busy as the time went on. Bathrooms in the back were serviceable but they were disturbingly close to the open door of the kitchen. Also that gnawed on chicken bone in the floor in the hallway kind of grossed me out. Ewww! But hey, maybe someone dropped it while bussing tables so no biggie. If you want to watch a game or a race or any other sporting event, this place is more than likely going to be able to accommodate you. Plus there's food, beer, and liquor so what more do you need?

Atmosphere was nice dimly lit which was perfect for Day Drinking. Staff was attentive and friendly. I got the Ravioli's which were both delicious but expensive. It had a little but of a kick to it as well. My friend got the Mac and Cheese burger which looked amazing. Just FYI don't bother asking for the meat to be cooked rate because they'll only go as medium. Did I mention it's a sports bar that's great for day drinking. Yes please.

We had a wonderful lunch recently and thoroughly enjoyed our food. Our server was friendly and helpful. My husband had a pasta entree, while I had a salmon salad. Nothing left on our plates! Will definitely return on our next trip to Charleston!

Service: Absolutely terrible. We flagged our waitress 5 times before ever finally placing a dinner order. Cleanliness: The kitchen looks absolutely disgusting. While walking to the bathroom, I was able to view the kitchen. It was so bad that I told the girl I was with that we should probably eat somewhere else, she wanted to stay. Misc: When a turkey sandwich was ordered, the waitress said they were out of turkey and chicken tinders, early on a Thursday night. If you want to watch a game, this place has several TV ' S though. Just do not come here for decent food or for sub-par service, because you'll receive neither.

If you like bar food, you'll like King Street Grille...mainly because the bar food here is pretty good. The market price for my crab cake sandwich was $12.99. Not bad (the pretzel bun was a plus). Portion sizes are decent. Service is kind of slow, and if you go for Monday night Bingo, it's fun but LOUD. Overall, an okay place.

  • Rob D.

My rating is solely based on the atmosphere and choice of beers. I didn't have food, so take what you are looking for into consideration. College bar atmosphere. The bartender was kind and inviting. The staff in general seemed to have fun. And the waitresses were easy on the eyes. Lots of tv's to keep you entertained. A good crowd and not music that is blasting so loud I can't hear myself think. If you're looking for a good bar to just hang out at, this is your place.

  • Macey M.

Gotta say, portions are HUGE. I got a half dinner portion of their version of Chicken Marsala. Very good, but dear lordy, very generous portions. Don't get me wrong, I can eat a lot, and I ate all my dinner, but it was mighty big. And I got a side salad..more like a Full salad. You definitely get your money's worth. Also, the King and Ginger cocktail is so good! I had a couple...lol Unfortunately, the place is super cramped, loud and dirty. Particularly the bathroom. Cobb webs, dust, and toilet paper all over the bathroom which is located in the kitchen...that was particularly strage..but even on the dining room floor there was food and mess everywhere.

Hostess was a little overwhelmed. But our waitress Sarah was great! Brought the family here for a Saturday lunch. Walked up from the Charleston City Market. Good food and fun atmosphere. We will be back!

Came in for dinner and had great service. Ordered a local beer and the corn chowder for a starter. The mr ordered the Spanish fly burger and I had a build your own salad. His burger was pretty good (very spicy !!) and yummy fries! The corn chowder was awesome buuuuttt my salad was soggy. So our great server took it back and replaced it with a second bowl of chowder of my choice. Then took off the salad from our bill. I appreciate that so much! You aren't always going to like your food but how they handled my dislike was stellar. It's a loud sports bar with tons of seating. The perfect bar setting with decent music and more TVs than you know what to do with.

Good atmosphere and friendly bartender for sure. Food was typical bar food, but was good for lunch. Great beer selection and many tv's would make this a good Sunday NFL spot.

From the outside, King Street Grille looks like the type of place frequented by crusty frat guys looking to swill cheap rail tequila and barf on the rug. Once you walk inside, this place has a very cool, very old vibe. Downstairs, there are tables in the front, then you've got the bar on the left and tables across from that, with an open view of the awesome handcarved ceiling. Upstairs, there's like a terrace sort of thing that has additional tables, and across the room, there are televisions set up so that you can sit and eat, and easily watch whatever game you want. The food was pretty good! I had an awesome salad (the salad menu is build your own, and there are dozens of choices) with romaine, chicken, mushrooms...you don't care. It was really good, and I saw a lot of people eating salads. The star, though, was Meghan C.'s burger. I think it might have been the best seasoned burger I've had, anywhere, ever. I'd wager that they prepare their burgers exactly how I do mine - salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder - and on a damn pretzel roll. Can we all agree that all the things need to be on pretzel rolls? ALL THE THINGS! Oh, the beer list is pretty good, too. Their draught selection is small, but solid. They've got a pretty big bottle selection, so take a look at the fridge behind the bar to make your choice!

  • Rachel L.

Nice sports bar with standard sports bar food. Lots of beers to choose from. Wings were very good...BBQ & jerk. Nachos solid. Nice chopped salad...you build your own with lots of ingredients to choose from. Huge burgers...cooked well. Waffle fries were pretty average frozen fare. Service was standard for this type of restaurant.. friendly but pretty much lacking in personality. TVs everywhere! And that's why you go to a sports bar. Fun atmosphere.

Went to King Street Grill today for dinner, we had a party of 7. Good pub food with average prices, although place was very loud. The really negative aspect was the filthy bathroom. It was just disgusting, looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. The dining room was dirty and dusty, as well, with our feet sticking to the floor. I would probably try one of their other locations again, but not this one.

Tourist trap but convenient location. It takes along time to get seated, a long time for your order to arrive, and when the food gets to your table its cold. Do yourself a favor and walk a little further down King Street and find another restaurant. If you want to drink a beer and watch the game on TV, keep walking, there are plenty of other places.

This place is great!! I mistakenly avoided it due to the 3 stars and there are so many great places in Charleston...but needed a burger and it was damn cold today. WHAT A TREAT! We walk in and it is loud and happy sounding (perfect for a teething 18 month old who may have the occasional MMMMBOOOO Moment). We are told they only had a table upstairs which was fun with me...it's a tall restaurant and a balcony upstairs with TVs mounted higher so customers up there can also watch whatever sports are on. We're greeted promptly, beers arrive quickly, and we check out the menu. Everything looks good! I stuck to a burger with cheddar...JR C. Got a salad and Paxton had the grilled cheese. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time and :::Samuel L Voice::: THAT IS A TASTY BURGER. Well seasoned with what I imagine is onion and garlic powder, and salt and pepper. The pretzel bun was a pleasant, tasty surprise. It arrived perfectly medium rare and hot....the waffle fries were awesome and crispy, too!!! JR's salad was large and he was really happy. Paxton is getting teeth so didn't want to eat but we stole a few bites and tasty grilled chee! The price was not bad for 4 good beers and 3 great meals. I will be so happy to return! Also...should be noted that many of the not great reviewed appear to be from like 2009-2012 time frame. Maybe they took feedback and stepped up their game!

So Done! Tonight was their last chance! We went about a month ago and the food was over cooked. There was a game on so I figured it was a fluke. We've been here several times and to the others. Tonight, the waitress was so unfriendly and she actually told us when we asked about an item on the menu and she told us she doesn't know, she's new here. Not I'm new, I'm going to find out. Never introduced herself. The tables on each side of us were never bused. The entire time we were there. Then to top it off, we were told by the manager that a party was starting and he said were turning g the lights off for the music. So when our food arrived we were already in the dark and the rap music was so loud that we couldn't hear each other. The manager could have offered us a round of drinks. But no. I did email them the last time we were there with no response. There's plenty of places to eat in Charleston. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Great burgers, fries, and beer selection! Great place to watch the game-- tons of tvs everywhere! I'd recommend the Mac and Cheese burger on a pretzel roll. We've had really good service too. If you want beer, good bar food, and a place to hang out and/or watch the game, this is a great spot.

Love this place, for a sports bar they have great food, they also have a large bottled beer selection and 4-5 beer on draft. TVs everywhere for all your sporting needs and more in the upstairs room where you can play pool or golden tee. That being said it is a sports bar so it can get loud and busy, but that is to be expected. The food is delicious, they do half price burgers every Wednesday that I attend regularly. I love the chicken asiago, one of my favorites. It is a little expensive but not much and they make up for that with portions. You will not leave hungry that is for sure. Go enjoy a game, a beer and some good food.

I went on half-price burger night. Really good burger but nowhere near the best 1/2 burger deal in Charleston. Loved the sweet potato fries

Service was good but slow. Food was all fried stuff and nothing special. Won't be back.

Good place to meet the guys, or group, for a game. Can't say I would visit for any other reason. Good burger lots of TV's. Friendly service. Convenient location for guests at renaissance hotel.

Went in to have lunch for a friend because she said they have a great build-your-own-salad deal. I agree, it was pretty sweet! Typical salad items, but they allow you to choose quite a few. I wish the salad came with a roll or something. For my salad with lots of veggies and grilled chicken, I paid around $12. It was pretty large and filling, but there are lots of other options on King to go for a salad. I think I will return, but won't be dying to get back anytime soon.

Large menu with many options. Portions are so large. Everything seemed very fresh and was very tasteful. Went for lunch with a child. Kids menu was available with many options. Built a salad which was quite large and filling. Service was great!

Atmosphere: comfortable, looked pretty slow on a Sunday afternoon which made everything feel too spaced out. We sat at a window seat, which was nice, but it felt so far away from any other patrons. Good waitstaff, helpful and attentive but did not hover. Food: Asiago crusted chicken was very good. The pasta and sauce was really nice. Chicken breading was a little greasy with random bites of ground pepper, but overall a good dish. I appreciated the small portion available, still plenty. Pepper jack chicken sandwich was pretty good. The bun wasn't great, would have rathered a plain bulkie roll or sesame bun. Their panini press was down when we were there, so all of the pressed sandwiches were off the menu. A couple of those looked really good though. Price: $26 + $5 tip for 2 lunches and 1 iced tea

Food overall good but very high priced. Ordered the sweet tea chicken and paid $15 for 2 chicken breast. There was hardly any of the sweet tea sauce on my chicken so I asked for some extra sauce. They then informed I had to pay for more sauce. Pathetic to charge more money. It was only a dollar but made the meal a bad experience.

This is just okay. I would always go between classes at the College. Not a bad choice but there are better places. Good for groups.

Food is pretty good and staff is friendly. My complaint is that my shrimp po boy had about half the shrimp on it as previous times. When I asked the waitress about it the response was "well we raised prices by a dollar". What kind if sense does that make? Further, it cost me $3 to sub a salad for fries. Had I just ordered a side salad it would have been the same price and I would have gotten fries as well.. This is why Americans are obese. I won't be coming back.

Big menu but a little pricey... Food was ok as well got a burger on a pretzel wasn't that bad. Place is really clean and it seems to be hipster place. Went around lunch time on a Friday and it was extremely busy. services was good as well. Just lower your prices on and it would be a ok in my eyes.

Build my own salad?! Yes, please. We each ordered one and were quite pleased. Didn't really look much further into the menu. Would return.

My friend recommended this place and this was the only place he recommended. (He is just lazy). We came in the bar and immediately felt out of place. Not too much was going on but the hostess just seemed to ignore us as we looked around for a place to sit. We finally got two seats at the bar. At first we were ignored at the bar also. Then others left and we finally got our chance. The King's apple is a shot of apple cider and everclear. It is delicious and not overpowering. We also had a couple of other drinks that were pretty strong. I hear this place can really be hit or miss. Update: There is nothing special about this place. Some friends and I gave this place another shot and it was pleasant. We never order food but the drinks are tasty. I think the drinks are a little overpriced but nothing to complain about.

The Steeler flag and the fact that were starving brought us in before a music festival. The place was packed and we had to be seated in a window, where only one tv was visible. I had to order 3 beers before I actually found one in stock that I wanted. The food took forever and made us all feel disgusting afterwards. The waitress was nice, but could have more attentive. The false advertising of the menu had a Steelers-stampled Toast. One member of our party ordered that and when it arrived there was no Steelers stamp. How does a business run out of stocked items on the menu at noon? I would not return nor recommend to future travelers. Sorry Steeler bar:(

Pretty underwhelmed. We just stopped in for drinks and the drinks were watered down, tasteless. I'm glad we didn't stop to eat here - especially given the strong fried food smell. The atmosphere, I must note, felt more like a Hooters-style sports bar.

Discovered King Street Grille on my way to the Apple store. Not crowded. Nice staff. Good food. Not for foodies, but worth a beer and wings.

My four star rating is perhaps not entirely comparable to the four stars I've given some other places. However, I think anyone who sees a pub/sports bar like this knows what kind of food they're in for, and that's precisely what I was looking for. The King Street Grille has a heavy pub menu with your usual burgers, sandwiches, and what seems to be their trademark item: Various dishes turned into egg rolls, like the Mac n Cheese Egg Roll. They also have a rather nice salad option on the menu: Basically they have a whole list of ingredients, you pick a certain amount, and then select a protein. They then turn it into a chopped salad for you. Sounded good, but I was in the mood for crab and unfortunately crab cakes were NOT one of the 12 or so things you could choose on a salad. I ended up going for the crab dip, which is an appetizer, but as is 'customary' in these kinds of bars, enough to feed four people. The waitress recommended off the bat that I order extra bread with it. This seemed odd (why don't they just serve more bread with it in the first place??) but I'm one of those people that's invariable out of bread with lots of dip left, so I went along with her suggestions. The dip is served with a french baguette, which is a good size for a single sandwich, though fairly light and thin. For only $1 extra I got a whole nother baguette, which seems like a very fair deal to me. My crab dip was delicious: Creamy and cheesy without overwhelming the crab. I definitely 'needed' the extra bread and ended up sending about a third of the crab dip back to the kitchen, there was so much of it. If you like sports bars or watching TV while you eat, there are TVs all over the place, though up fairly high so they didn't bother me. I liked the atmosphere (dark/comfortable) and my waitress was prompt and friendly. The only thing I found a little odd is that they serve so little bread with their dip that the waitresses immediately offer to sell you more. At $1/loaf, they're really not making much extra money off the bread though, so all in all I was happy with my purchase. The total, including dip, extra bread, iced tea and tax came out to $15. Very reasonable for the large amount of very decent food I got. I definitely recommend the King Street Grill if you're in for large portions of good American bar food. Just don't expect fine dining, but who does, from a sports bar/pub?

Totally unremarkable grill and sports bar. I dropped in to have a Bloody Mary and watch a bit of Thanksgiving weekend football. The Bloody Mary was watery, and the restaurant was surprisingly empty for King Street.

Great portion sizes. Decent food. Overpriced unless you go during happy hour or for half price burgers. TERRIBLE customer service. Rude manager, slow servers (usually) and you'll never see a smile in the place. Head to moe's crosstown or tattooed moose.

My dad and I decided to grab a quick lunch on Saturday afternoon. We hit up King Street Grille and were quickly seated. Service was quick for ordering but the wait for our food was entirely too long to say he only ordered a buger and I ordered a sandwich. The food was innovative but could use a little extra pizazz!

I really wanted to like this place. However, I can't bring myself to award more than two stars to a restaurant that equates "well done" with "burnt to a crisp." My burger was completely dry--no juices at all--and the only discernible flavor to it was burnt meat. I can't believe a restaurant would even plate a burger that is completely black on the outside, as mine was. The mac-n-cheese egg rolls and yummy waffle fries are the only things that saved this place from a one-star review.
