Very positively impressed! First time customer. Ordered on line for delivery @ 6:30pm, food was on my plate by 7:00pm. Order was complete and correct. Portions are very generous and the food is great. Comes with all trimmings and since the service is so fast, the food is nice and hot, ready to eat when you get it. I cannot comment about the restaurant it self since this was a delivery. I am very satisfied and will order again! Great job!

Pretty good and very fast! I ordered the Lamb with spicy sesame sauce it was a lot of food for under $10. However, I thought the lamb tasted a little too much like beef, I don't know if they were passing beef off as lamb or not but I ate it anyways!

We came to Charleston on vacation. We were highly satisfied the first time we went. We ordered Pad Thai and vegetables with bean curd. Portions were very good and it tasted great. We came in a second day and had Kung Pao chicken and vegetables. It was kinda salty that time around. This is a small restaurant that does mainly carry out. The dining area was clean.

Stopped in here on my first night in town. Great prices and portions but service kind of lacked. Had plenty of leftovers. Didn't get a drink refill till the end of the meal. Got the teriyaki chicken and it was delicious. Comes with a side of fried rice that isn't mentioned on the menu.

Consistently good & just as you'd expect from a quality Chinese restaurant. Fast delivery & very courteous & kind delivery people. Even when I accidentally overpaid, he brought me the change back very quickly. I will continue to visit Chopsticks for their tofu dishes.

The duck noodle soup was the best thing I had to eat in Charleston! Lots of noodles, yummu broth, big chunks of duck (even a drumstick!). I finally gave up all pretension and ate it with a fork. Just heavenly!

Serviceable. Lunch special came mostly rice with lo mein on the side. Weird. 6.45 for that plus a canned coke.

Probably the best take out Chinese food is Charleston. For lunch, I'd go with one of their lunch specials (around $6 for entree, rice and can of soda). For dinner, their entrees could be big enough to split if need be, and their selection is huge. Be adventurous. Everything I've had so far has been pretty tasty. For appetizers, their pork egg rolls are great, but I wasn't a fan of the wontons. Their delivery service is a tad slow (around 45 mins), but their take out time is pretty quick (around 15 mins).

When I think of moderately priced Chinese food joints, the first word that comes to mind is far from hospitable, but what I experienced at Chopsticks blew my expectations completely out of the water..... and not in the good way. Upon entering the small building off of Society Street, I was glared at by the lone employee hanging out at the register for what seemed to be a disruption of a perfectly good game of Candy Crush. Oops! Well, if the cold greeting isn't enough to prompt you to turn around and take your grumbling tummy elsewhere, you're now left wondering whether or not the socially inept gal behind the counter is coming to take your order or if you need to be the initiator and approach her. I chose the latter and was properly scolded for thinking such. Silly me, I should have awkwardly stayed in my chair for another 15 minutes waiting for her to get off of her cell phone and wait on the table. I would have gladly given this place one star if the food was mediocre, however, despite it's horrific service, the meal was pretty generous and delicious. I am not surprised, though, as many businesses think they can thrive with sub-par accommodations if their product is stellar. Regardless, in my book, a restaurant will not warrant a good rating on food alone. The entire dining experience is being evaluated.... and this place, as good as it might be, needs to brush up on what it means to provide a service to paying customers. If they don't want to wait on walk-ins, they should stick to take-out and delivery. My advice to those who are looking for decent, cheap Chinese food: Go for it, but just stick to what the college kiddos are doing and call ahead for pick up. When you experience a rude encounter while paying for your grub, you'll think of me.

Passing through Charleston via sailboat I was waylaid by some terrible weather. I picked up some take-out at Chopsticks and it was the best decision I had made in days. The combination dinners are reasonably priced and I got the General Tso's Chicken with pork fried rice and egg drop soup as well as the vegetable spring roll appetizer. Everything was fresh and hot. I often find the meat dishes at Chinese take-out joints dry or lacking meat in general. You won't find that here. You'll find a great deal on good food.

Perfectly fine greasy American Chinese food (which is exactly what I wanted).

Pithy review: We are both from areas with huge Chinatowns. She LA, me Houston. We bought one taro boba tea to share because we were disappointed many times in the past at other places around the country. This place's is so good that we walked back to buy another because neither of us wanted to share. It's that good.

This is by far the top Chinese restaurant in Charleston. We will go out of our way to eat here. They probably do more take-out or delivery business than anything. They have a few tables to accommodate those that want to eat it. The shrimp and rice soup is a must and definitely for 2 people if not more to share.

I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews. While, Charleston's ethnic food scene is subpar at best, I actually love this place. I usually order carry out for work. However, I did visit the resturant and it was very clean and modern. It's the only place in Charleston that isn't a "fast Chinese place." You can actually sit and enjoy dinner and a glass of wine. It was very clean and updated. I think the old reviews were from a previous location. I also love that you can order online and as long as the order is over 10.00 it's free and always really fast. I love the egg rolls. They are just as good as the ones in Chinatown, NYC. The Won-Ton soup is really good too, it gives you more than one Won-Ton unlike other CHS locations. The shrimp in all the shrimp dishes are plump and juicy not sparse like other places.

First, I am not an expert in Chinese food. I just like food that tastes good, so that's what this review is based off of. I love this place because of the giant portions of pretty healthy food for super cheap. Let me preface this with the fact that I am not a vegetarian, but I really like tofu when it's done right, and it's done right here. Fried with a nice hard texture on the outside and soft on the inside. I haven't explored the menu very much because I love their tofu and vegetable dish. It's awesome and comes with white or fried rice on the side. It's like $7 and enough for two. I've also gotten the vegetable soup with is massive and filled with veggies and broth, and the hot and sour soup which is tasty. I can call and it's ready in 5-10 minutes. Staff are always nice when picking up. It is what it is---

What a refreshing change of pace! We are in Charleston on an extended stay and craved Chinese food. After a week of nothing but pricey southern and seafood dinners, our meal at Chopsticks was truly delicious and the best deal in town. We both had the combination dinner which came with delicious hot and sour or wonton soup, a generously sized homemade pork egg roll, a huge entree and fried rice (we both opted for steamed rice). I had chicken with cashews and my daughter had chicken and broccoli. Both entrees were super fresh and cooked to order. We could only eat half as the portions were so large. Can't wait for the left overs at lunch! The ambiance is a bit plain but the food here totally makes up for it. Our bill came to only $20 plus tax - such an incredible value! We'll definitely be back!

Very simply - this is bad chinese food. It is a poor excuse for a chinese restaurant. If you want to waste your money and get a stomach ache, then have fun!

This is a great little place. Thankfully it is not a buffet. It is a classic Chinese place, with the ambience that entails. Lots of regular customers. Good selection of lunch specials. A really excellent house special soup for two. I have taken many friends there and they were all very pleased, often they suggest going there now. It is what it is. It doesn't pretend to be a Michelin 5-star place. I'm rating it for the niche it occupies. It does a brisk delivery trade, and has a loyal customer base. Tasty, made to order, American style Chinese food. I have spent lots of time in rural China, and I know real Chinese food. Sometimes I even get that here.

Full of flavor, new and different options on special board, consistent, very reasonable pricing, friendly, efficient...average dining atmosphere, but you can take out for home or picnic.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
